Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
This Autism Infocast provides a practical guide for everyone about enhancing their day to day interactions with autistic people. It explains that autistic communication often involves literal interpretation, directness, and a need for processing time, along with differences in non-verbal cues like eye contact and body language. We explain the use of echolalia and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) by some autistic people and, to help build better understanding, we provide simple advice on clear and concise language, patience, how to check for understanding, and prioritising spoken words over assumed non-verbal cues, because effective communication is a shared responsibility.
