Midnight Ledger: Milwaukee - Vampire: The Masquerade - Episode 8
Sometimes the most dangerous revelations come gift-wrapped in community service.
Maxwell wakes up in an airport hangar with a dead man's phone, a mysterious voicemail, and a growing list of people who want him to meet final death. When anonymous callers start playing telephone tag with corpses, even a vampire's enhanced senses struggle to separate paranoia from genuine threats.
The hunt for answers leads Maxwell through the labyrinthine politics of Milwaukee, where faith and firearms aren't mutually exclusive. The government partners with religious leaders and monster hunters. A partnership that may not be as defunct as everyone believes.
This Episode Features:
- Late-night theological discussions with armed escorts
- The economics of supernatural threat assessment
- Why water towers make excellent vampire real estate
- Maxwell's ongoing struggle with basic human decency
Content Warning: Religious themes, violence, conspiracy theories that might actually be facts.
