Hi and welcome to the Battle Drill Daily Devotional. I'm Rob Westwood-Payne, and I'm here to help you start your day spiritually strong with a quick, powerful devotional from God's Word. Don't forget to visit battledrilldevotional.com for more daily devotionals and resources. Now let's jump in. Hello and welcome. I'm so glad you've joined me today. Have you ever asked yourself, why do I feel stuck? Maybe you're caught in the same habits, the same fears, even the same mistakes. The harder you push, the deeper you seem to sink. It feels like a doom loop. You just can't break out of. If that's you today, and here's the most important truth you need to hear. God loves you. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians chapter one in verses four and five. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. Just pause for a moment and let those words sink in. Before the world began. God loved you before you achieved anything. Before you failed at anything. Before you even took your first breath. God chose you in Christ. That means that your worth isn't tied to your work. It isn't tied to your wins. It isn't even tied to your wounds. Your worth is anchored in God's eternal love. So why do we so often live as if it depends on us? Why do we keep striving? Keep pretending that we're fine when we're not? Keep trying to fix ourselves by sheer effort. The truth is, freedom doesn't start with our strength. It begins with God's love. I know in my own life just how easy it is to play God, to put on a brave face. To act as though I have it all together. But I've learned that real change doesn't come when I strive harder. It comes when I stop and pray. Lord, I need you. That's when grace rushes in. That's when I remember that God loves me. And his love carries what I cannot. So if you feel stuck today, don't start with yourself. Start with God's love. Let it soak deep into your heart. Speak it out loud if you need to. God loves me. He chose me. He calls me his child. Those are my words. They are the foundation of your true identity. That's when new purpose begins. That's where you find the strength to step forward. In the Salvation Army. We often say that faith is worked out in the everyday. It's in the quiet prayer before the rush of the day. It's in the cup of tea shared with someone who's lonely. It's in the food parcel given in Jesus name. All of the small acts flow out of one big truth. God loves you and his love overflows through you. So today, lift your eyes from the rut that you're in. Look again to the God who delights in you. You are loved. You are chosen. You are his And in his love you will find the freedom to move forward. Today's thought starter question is this. Where do you need to stop striving today? And rest in the truth that God loves you. Let's pray. Father, thank you that before the world began, you loved me and chose me in Christ. But I feel stuck. Remind me that your love is steady and strong. Help me to rest in your grace. To stop playing God and to trust you. To lead me into freedom. In Jesus name. Amen. Thank you for joining me today. Remember, you are loved. You are chosen and you are his. Join me again tomorrow as we continue this journey together. Thanks so much for watching Battle Drill Daily Devotional.
