In this week's episode of The Victory Wrap, Rick "RJ" Jullienne and Dale "The Coach Eggleton interview Central Coast Dance Royalty - Kahlia Mehmet- Smith.
There have always been some doubters that dance is actually not a sport and is part of the arts but after hearing Kahlia's story there will no doubt in anyone's mind anymore.
Starting her dance journey at the age of 5 it wasn't long before teachers, judges and critics noticed her amazing potential, her exceptional talent, her dance intelligence and her never give up attitude that saw her dominating at Local, State and National Championships which led her to pursue her career at only 15 years of age Internationally when Kahlia auditioned and was accepted into the English National Ballet School on a Scholarship.
Upon returning to Australia at the age of 21 Kahlia became a studio owner/director and teacher of the Coast's first Elite Dance School and still continues to give back to the "Sport" she still has so much passion and love for.
Despite having a young family Kahlia still dedicates hours and hours inspiring and setting standards for up-and-coming athletes/dancers to aspire to.
We are sure you are going to love episode 5 of the Victory Wrap, Season 2 as much as we did and we hope you can see the Sport in the Dance!!
