Hosted by The Zelotones, Singapore’s very own passionate, independent band, we’re all about sharing real-life stories, spreading positivity, and championing inclusion for persons with disabilities (PWD).
Meet the crew:
🎸 Zach (bass) – Founder, groove master, and proof that losing sight doesn’t mean losing vision. From navigating blindness in young adulthood to rocking the bass like nobody’s business, Zach’s got wisdom and wicked riffs.
🥁 Alex (drums) – Started on bass, leveled up to drums, now smashing Grade 5 exams like it’s no big deal. Visually impaired since young, Alex’s independence and “why not?” attitude make him a powerhouse on and off stage.
🎤 Zyana (vocals & rhythm guitar) – Our powerhouse vocalist with a heart full of stories and a guitar that never lies. Living with tunnel vision hasn’t stopped her from crafting beautiful arrangements and lighting up any stage.
🎹 Ben (keys) – The “jukebox” pianist with Grade 8 chops, a killer smile, and a life story that redefines resilience. After two serious accidents, Ben’s motto is simple: keep playing, keep glowing.
💪 The Zelotones do it all – music, admin, PR, finances – proving that disability doesn’t define limits. We use our voices (and instruments!) to amplify PWD perspectives, spark conversations, and build a more inclusive Singapore.

In this festive episode, the gang shares their most Singaporean memories:

✏️ Zyana’s primary school days learning to spell “Singapore” and sing her heart out in patriotic songs!
They’ll take you on a journey through Singapore’s growing accessibility, how they navigate (literally and emotionally) the bustling NDP rehearsals and parades, and their hilarious tales of overnight ticket queues and crowd “missions”. Even now, they enjoy the Parade through radio commentaries, imagining every beat and boom with vivid clarity—proving you don’t need sight to feel the nation’s heartbeat.
But it’s not all nostalgia! The Zelotones dish out creative ideas on making future NDPs more inclusive, with audio descriptions, better accessibility, and yes… their dream of performing LIVE at the Parade stage one day!
