Zelocast : Glow with the Flow
🎙️ Welcome to ZeloCast : Glow with the Flow — where music, meaning, and a whole lot of good vibes come together! 🎶✨
Hosted by The Zelotones, Singapore’s very own passionate, independent band, we’re all about sharing real-life stories, spreading positivity, and championing inclusion for persons with disabilities (PWD).
Meet the crew:
🎸 Zach (bass) – Founder, groove master, and proof that losing sight doesn’t mean losing vision. From navigating blindness in young adulthood to rocking the bass like nobody’s business, Zach’s got wisdom and wicked riffs.
🥁 Alex (drums) – Started on bass, leveled up to drums, now smashing Grade 5 exams like it’s no big deal. Visually impaired since young, Alex’s independence and “why not?” attitude make him a powerhouse on and off stage.
🎤 Zyana (vocals & rhythm guitar) – Our powerhouse vocalist with a heart full of stories and a guitar that never lies. Living with tunnel vision hasn’t stopped her from crafting beautiful arrangements and lighting up any stage.
🎹 Ben (keys) – The “jukebox” pianist with Grade 8 chops, a killer smile, and a life story that redefines resilience. After two serious accidents, Ben’s motto is simple: keep playing, keep glowing.
💪 The Zelotones do it all – music, admin, PR, finances – proving that disability doesn’t define limits. We use our voices (and instruments!) to amplify PWD perspectives, spark conversations, and build a more inclusive Singapore.

Episode 11 : We Work, We Earn & We Contribute
Who says work is just about the paycheck? In this episode, The Zelotones show how finding a job, earning independence, and giving back can be full of laughs, life lessons, and a whole lot of heart. ❤️
👨💼 Alex takes us through his wild ride of jobs—from shaky telemarketing calls (“shaking shaking and then press keypad!” 😂) to becoming a skilled massage therapist. With supportive bosses and plenty of determination, he proves that perseverance pays off—literally.
👓 Zach opens up about his journey after losing his sight as a teen. From feeling lost to finding community at SAVH, his first gigs at Dialogue in the Dark and Dining in the Dark became powerful platforms to educate others about blindness—and remind us that “life still goes on.” 🌟
👩🍳 Zyana, the band’s “mother,” shows how independence can shine at home and on stage. From hilarious kitchen mishaps (like a tray of mugs crashing down or detergent disasters 😅) to managing the Zelotones’ operations like a pro, she’s proof that resilience + humor = unstoppable strength.
🎹 Ben, our “jukebox pianist,” is nothing short of inspiring. After surviving two major accidents and bouncing back stronger (yes, even jogging regularly!), he uses his incredible musical gift to contribute and keep the band’s spirit alive. 🎶
But this episode isn’t just about personal wins—it’s about breaking stereotypes. The Zelotones highlight how PWDs can deliver work at the same high standard as anyone else, with the right mix of courage, confidence, and supportive employers. From mobile massage teams to indie band gigs, they’re living proof that “auntie, uncle jobs” don’t define anyone. 🚀
💡 Expect laughs, real talk, and big doses of inspiration. By the end, you’ll see work in a whole new light—and maybe feel inspired to reflect on your own contributions too.
✨ Together we make a difference. Win or lose, we’re still a champion! ✨
