Headlines shouldn’t feel like jump scares, but this week they do. We open with the weird collision of ICE rumors and Olympic chatter, why “security theater” spreads faster than facts, and what it means to cross a border when trust is thin. From airport lines to algorithmic outrage, we trace how fear, bureaucracy, and virality shape the stories we tell—and the trips we avoid.

Then we dig into the AI problem that looks less like a gadget and more like a culture shift. A victim’s photo gets “beautified.” A protest image is edited for maximum tears. Tyler Perry rethinks a billion‑dollar studio as synthetic content ramps up. It’s not just jobs or VFX; it’s custody of reality, and whether audiences can keep a grip when visuals are optimized for reaction instead of truth. We talk practical skepticism, visual literacy, and why “source or skip” might become a daily habit.

Sports isn’t a refuge so much as a mirror. Olympic qualifications turn into points chess that’s legal and still messy. In the NBA, a suspension tied to mental health meds raises tough questions about policy and compassion. Giannis trade talk exposes the contender’s dilemma: you can add a superstar and still subtract your soul. And yes, LeBron’s All‑Star fate in Los Angeles becomes a referendum on legacy, viewership, and how a league handles its living timeline.

We also pause to honor Catherine O’Hara—SCTV brilliance, Beetlejuice bite, and Moira’s unforgettable poise—whose work lit up Canadian comedy and beyond. Finally, as another Nova Scotia storm rolls in, we talk school closures, day‑to‑day tradeoffs, and why “be safe out there” isn’t small talk. Hit play for sharp takes, a few laughs, and a grounded look at messy systems in a loud week. If this resonates, follow the show, share it with a friend, and drop a review to help others find us.

Kicking Off With ICE And Politics

SPEAKER_01

The U.S. is a dumpster fire. Wow. It's not that bad, is it? I'm sure it's fine in Kentucky. I'm sure it is. Yeah, and all this Idaho. I got uh really weird comment the other day. Somebody said something about, oh man, you don't look that good. I'm like, bro, I'm 60. Looking for a new job. I'm gonna be a nice agent.

SPEAKER_04

Good luck with that. You have to be one of the proud boys, I think, don't you, to be a nice agent?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, so I gotta be a racist.

SPEAKER_04

I can't, oh I can't, I can't have the job.

SPEAKER_01

All right, well, there goes that idea. I have to be a racist, can't do it. Can't do it. Don't think.

SPEAKER_04

Mikey D.

SPEAKER_01

All right, so looking for a new job. I'm gonna be a nice agent.

SPEAKER_04

Good luck with that. You have to be one of the Proud Boys, I think, don't you, to be a nice agent?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, so I gotta be racist. I can't. Oh, I can't I can't have the job. Alright, well, there goes that idea. I have to be a racist, can't do it. Can't do it.

SPEAKER_04

I don't think there's uh I don't think there's an equivalent here in Canada, is there?

SPEAKER_01

Nova Scotia Power. Oh, yeah, man. Pretty close. Yeah. They're not pulling anybody, pulling anybody out of their houses, but they're screwing everybody's bills up and all kinds of life.

SPEAKER_04

I saw something uh about ice agents being in Italy during the Olympics. Did see this? What? Yeah, like it's so it's I I don't know. Is it real? Yeah, oh yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But it was like going to what?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah. So part of the American contingent that's going there. I don't know where I don't I don't know. I have to read more about it. I just saw something. I saw a headline, like, oh, I gotta go look that up.

SPEAKER_01

So they're gonna see some people of color in the Olympic team, and the ice agents is gonna be a little bit more than a little bit.

SPEAKER_04

Well, I mean, there's obviously say Olympics. I would assume it has to do something with like it's I wouldn't think it's security detail, but it

Proud Boys Jokes And ICE Rumors

SPEAKER_04

would have to be something to do with like what at the American embassy over there or something. I don't know, I'd have to go look it up. But anyway, I thought, what the hell is this about, right? Like they're showing up everywhere. Why, why now all of a sudden ice agents are becoming a story for the Olympics in Italy? Like, that's kind of crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, let it go. We have athletes for that. That's right, yeah. Holy smokes, right? Right, that's right. We'll get back to that in a minute. But we did find out recently that ice agents are not police. We said that before. And now people are saying that we don't hear anything from the Proud Boys because the Proud Boys are now the ICE agents.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So apparently, uh, we heard a story that uh a person went in undercover, took them 40 minutes to become an ice agent.

SPEAKER_04

To get a job offer.

SPEAKER_01

To get a job offer. So yeah, but once again, I I guess you gotta be racist. If you go in with your white hood on, you should be okay. Maybe, I guess, yeah. Because the boys are tucking that in their pockets, I'm sure.

SPEAKER_04

You just gotta go in, you just gotta go in with an angry attitude, I guess. That's all it is, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

These stupid foreigners, these white people. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. But I uh I was talking earlier to you. I saw the picture of the poor fellow, the nurse that got shot. And I saw the picture of him, and then I saw a fixed picture. Like they they they changed his forehead, they gave him more hair, they cleaned up his look, they tanned him, gave him muscles. And I was when I watched it, I was like, Well, what did they do? And I was like, Oh, they want make they want people to feel bad because he was a good-looking fella. He didn't deserve to be shot. It doesn't matter what he looks like. I thought you were going the other way.

SPEAKER_04

I thought you were trying to make him look like he was a little bit more of an agitator.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, no, no, they made him good looking. Like, you know, from this to this, like if that's your profile picture, this one, bro. Yeah, yeah. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_04

Well, I was telling you about how they they altered that image of that one imminent banana. Yeah, oh, sorry. Yeah, go ahead. Say that one. Well, they arrested that woman that was part of the crazy protesters that went into the church, and you know, the the the the real picture she was. The one Don Lemon got arrested for the same thing. Fox News ding dong. But they um yeah, she was anyway, she was handcuffed of being brought into the station or being arrested or whatever it was. She was very stoic with the picture that was put out was like her bawling her eyes out and like looking terrified.

SPEAKER_01

That was the AI picture.

SPEAKER_04

It was, and that's what got put out. Yeah, it's crazy, right?

SPEAKER_01

AI is a problem, man.

SPEAKER_04

It's kind of getting crazy.

SPEAKER_01

How come he can't give me hair? That's right. Nobody

ICE At The Olympics And Security Speculation

SPEAKER_01

well, you know what? Somebody's probably photoshopping this in because apparently we're very big in a certain area. Are we? Yeah, according to Mike Gatto. Oh, right, yeah, yeah. Right. So if you don't know who that is, look him up because he's all over us, like flies on shit. Yeah, whatever. So uh we're just casual for now, but uh looks like we have hundreds of thousands of followers we didn't know about. Oops. Well, I think. Welcome everybody. We just thought it was our six friends.

SPEAKER_04

But like I said, yeah, that black up there probably draws people in, right? They see the numbers and they're opportunity to get you know, get on there. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

We're not doing guest shit anybody, but we appreciate you writing us. We really thank you for everything you say. And there's a lot of people writing, so this is like we've said before.

SPEAKER_04

This is Bobby D and I. We get together on a we usually we do this anyway. We'd be doing this anyway, sitting down, shooting the shit half a little bit. We we clean it up a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

We don't say everything we want to say because we don't want to look like idiots because we're comedic to each other, we try to make each other laugh. You can't kind of do that if you're not a full-blown comedian. That's right. Right? So, you know, we're not we're not Shane Gillis or any of those fellas. But we love those guys, but yeah, so yeah, you know, it is what it is. So, what whatever on that. But yeah, this whole ice thing is just bananas. That's crazy, man. It is bananas, man. That is crazy. Like, and then the you know, they're talking about the gun thing. They they said that you know, if you conceal cure, you're not supposed to be involved in anything. Stay away from the police. This I don't know, man. I don't know. I would just say that maybe police need to be a little less trigger happy, too. Listen, man, at the end of the day, it's like we talked about last episode.

SPEAKER_04

If you want to shoot somebody, proper training in that situation would be to de-escalate the situation. They did nothing to de-escalate the situation. Should the guy have, you know, uh identified himself, done whatever? I don't know. Split, you know, they're they they're the you can't on one side say these decisions are happening split second, and then on the other side, on the other side of the coin be saying, well, he should have thought about this and he should have said this, and he should have said that. Well, split second decision when you're in the country. Somebody should not have been shot and killed.

SPEAKER_01

No, I think simple, right? You know, here's the problem. Like, if these people, I can't say fellas because there's women too. These people with guns are not trained, like you don't need your gun. I can take you to the ground without any like it that guy's when it's okay. Okay, it's over. Like, I got you now. Okay, buddy, just can't comment. But he was down.

SPEAKER_04

That's the thing, is that they had six guys around him and he was pinned down to the ground face down. Like it's yeah Oh, that part.

SPEAKER_01

But I mean, when he was doing this, like just right then and there, you should have just oh yeah, you know, this they're gun trigger happy or trigger happy with

“ICE Aren’t Police” And Hiring Claims

SPEAKER_01

a gun whatever it's charged, man.

SPEAKER_04

It's crazy. Right, everybody's afraid.

SPEAKER_01

Well, if you're afraid, then don't do the job or wear a bulletproof vest. I don't know what the deal is, but they're not trained. End of the story.

SPEAKER_04

At the end, listen, here's the other thing at the end of the day. Like, we're two fellas sitting up in Nova Scotia, Canada, talking about this because it's just dominating the cycle. And it's it is like our the proximity to the US to us, uh, you know, does raise fears. Like, you know, uh, we like the U.S. We want to go to the U.S. right now. We don't know if we want to, right?

SPEAKER_01

We've got I don't want people looking through my phone and asking me for what papers? Where are your papers? Hang on. This is 1940. What? That's right. Right. I don't have a tattoo. Well, I have a tattoo. I don't have a number. This is bullshit.

SPEAKER_04

This is crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, man. Like just weren't weren't they our friends at one point in time?

SPEAKER_04

Well, and that's the thing, right? If you get past fentanyl, they might guarantee you, like, there's still, you know, there's idiots on both sides of the border. There's nice people on both sides of the border, there's assholes on both sides of the border.

SPEAKER_01

I've traveled a lot. You've traveled a lot. Um people are gonna hate me for this, but I purposely avoided American cities if I had to, for the TSA agents, because some of them are a little too, you know.

SPEAKER_04

I still remember we were coming through uh we're coming through LA. We'd gone from New Zealand, friendly joking around, Australia, a little more, a little more like uh a little more authoritative, but still joking around, still funny or whatever. Yep.

SPEAKER_02

And then we got to the States and it was like, stay in line, don't step out of line.

SPEAKER_04

And they were just freaking out, and they're you know, people walking around in the airport carrying guns. It was it's a different environment. That's why we got like lots of times I could have. This was years ago, by the way, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, lots of times I could have flew through uh Dulles and others, and I just nope, I take the long route.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Not interested, just didn't want any part of it, right?

SPEAKER_04

But hey man, we're like huge NBA fans, and we you you move since you moved home, we said we'd like to go down and catch a game, but I don't think we're allowed. Right now, the only place we'd go is Toronto, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Toronto.

SPEAKER_04

Good thing.

SPEAKER_01

Get on Toronto, but uh my I don't know.

Media Manipulation And AI-Altered Images

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Anyway, crazy time, man. Yeah, it's it's crazy. Like, you know, I I heard I never heard this term before. Somebody said on the on uh one of the podcasts, the US is a dumpster fire. Oh yeah. Wow, it's it's not that bad, is it? Yeah, I'm sure it's fine in Kentucky.

SPEAKER_04

I'm sure it's yeah, and all those Idaho and you talk about Canada US relations. Did you see what happened now? Well, do you know you remember? I think I can't remember when it was. We talked about this, the bobsled uh thing where that woman that had been to the Olympics five times wants to go to six times, she didn't have enough points. Maybe we didn't talk about this.

SPEAKER_01

No, we didn't, no. And so it was like the This should be her like what's it called?

SPEAKER_04

The one where you go down on go down like a head first, I think skull. What a sure. Okay, so so there was some uh there like there's a racing circuit where you know whenever you win, you build up so many points. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So you get so many points and competitors there, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

SPEAKER_04

And so, anyway, so this woman didn't make the Olympic team. It's Canadian, obviously. No, it's American. American. And she don't care. I mean, she did not make it, so this would have been she's trying for her sixth Olympics. So she wants to.

SPEAKER_01

I did read about this. Yeah, it's a record, right?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. And so what she did was she started going down to these races that are meant for developmental players, but you could still accumulate points this way. So she was trying to get in that way. And this race out of the States. No, so what happened in this race in the well, not in the States, in this race, wherever it was, uh, the Canadian team was all in there, or how many of them were in there to race, and the Canadian team decided to pull a bunch of them out, which actually reduced the amount of points that this woman could get if she won, and then she didn't get enough points to actually qualify for the Olympics. And so she called it out for being Oh, so she thinks they did it on purpose. They did do it on purpose. Oh, they did, oh well, so essentially it came out, they said, No, we're well within our rights to pull pull um pull our racers out if we want to. So they did it. Well, they did it so that I think they did it so that a couple other or another Canadian racer would get in. So it was a point too. Because of points. So did they break any rules? No. Apparently, it was more of an ethical thing of saying, you know, hey. But at the same time, like this woman that's complaining about not getting in for the sixth Olympics and da-da-da-da-da, and they robbed her. Well, she's going down and racing in all these developmental races to get points. So you didn't make it either, right?

SPEAKER_01

So it's anyway, it's a so that's and that's the newest thing now, is that the Yeah, but I I I I'm playing devil's advocate on this one, I guess, because I didn't read the story, but I would look at it like this way. I would say, okay, if the Canadians were pulled people to get their own person in, it just so happened you were a casualty.

SPEAKER_02

That's right.

SPEAKER_01

That's too bad.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Right? That's the way I spin it.

SPEAKER_04

Anyway, you spin it. It's you know, it's kind of shitty regardless of how you look at it.

SPEAKER_01

But here's the other thing, too. Like, if you know, as a self-respecting athlete at some level yourself as well, let's try to figure out a way to get that lady in. Like, come on, man. Well, that's the thing, right? It's that's a record. Like, she probably thought she was gonna get him skulls of all things.

SPEAKER_04

Well, here's the thing too, though, right? Like complaining about that because you don't get in, but then you going down to that

Audience Growth, Tone, And Format

SPEAKER_04

developmental circuit to beat these other people that are in there that are actually like you know what I mean. So there's there's a lot more to it. It's not just simple as well. I know a body I knew a bodybuilder is. There's a lot of stuff, like, right? Yeah, and they they bad moped him too. Yeah, but that that's the latest thing with like now, like, you know, we seem like we're at odds over almost everything right now with our with our southern neighbors, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, okay, well, since we're on the Olympics, they do start February 6th. I'm sure they're gonna be on every channel going. So I'm gonna say this. So for betting people, don't listen to me. I would say we're gonna do very well in hockey, we're gonna do very well in curling. Shut up. We're gonna we're gonna do very well in short and long track speed skating. Probably Bobsled. And uh, what am I missing, Mike? For Canadians? Yeah, what else we can do with uh we're usually skiing, freestyle skiing, uh the flipping. Yeah, yeah. We all do the the crazy canucks from the Quebec a lot of the Quebec wall. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_04

Oh my god, why can't I think of the name of that?

SPEAKER_01

Anyway, yeah, and uh uh long hilled skiing, giant slalom, and stuff like that. We do well in. Yeah, they're all winter sports. It's the winter Olympics, and we do much better in winter Olympics than we do, and we're gonna have snow for the Olympics anyway. Good old, what is it, Milano? Milano, Italy?

SPEAKER_04

Milano?

SPEAKER_01

I think I'm saying that right. It's like Milano Cortino or something.

Policing, De‑escalation, And Use Of Force

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I can't remember.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I don't I know it's in Italy, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so yeah, go Canada. Uh they're expecting a certain amount of medals, 10 gold at least.

SPEAKER_04

Well, we always have expectations going into the winter. I think our like expectations are a bit lower going into Summer Olympics, but we definitely have uh high expectations going into winter. And uh obviously sending just over 200 athletes. I mean, the expectation is gold or gold or nothing for hockey, right? I mean, we'll yeah, we need that. Yeah, we we always we always want gold in hockey.

SPEAKER_01

That's our that's right.

SPEAKER_04

That's just bragging, right?

SPEAKER_01

Right, yeah. So go Olympics, so that's probably gonna be on 24-7, right? All the channels. Yeah, right.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But uh who knows? So uh that refred the cellar, buddy. This is the UK's a dumpster fire, too. So there was a gentleman that owns a house. Okay. Okay, he doesn't live in the house. There was a squatter in the house. The UK bobbies go to get the squatter out. He complains, he files a lawsuit. It goes to court. The squatter does. Right.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

The squatter won the rights to the house because he said the guy doesn't live in it because it's like his second home or something. Okay. It's like uh, you know, make making money. So the squatter actually went to court in the UK. They awarded the squatter, the guy's house. The squatter turns around and sells it for 540,000 pounds. And there's nothing the guy can do, but this is documented, this is real, this happens in the how can you award the squatter the house?

SPEAKER_04

Like that doesn't make any sense.

SPEAKER_01

No kidding. Well, okay, squatter's rights, squatter's rights. So I'm like, that's like a my money. That's not a real thing. You know when he's freaking apparently it is in the UK. That is bananas, and it really happened. That's a real thing. Look at that. I'll have to go. I'll have to go. Oh my god. I couldn't believe it when I read it. I'm like, he won? And then he sold the house. The UK is crazy. That is crazy. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_04

I have to have that's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Well, remember in the UK you can get arrested for I I tweet, uh, there's too many immigrants. Uh I don't have enough parking or something. Like, if you say anything bad in any way, shape, or form they don't like, they can arrest you. Okay. Right? And I'm not saying that. Somebody else wrote that. So there was somebody in an airplane that texted his buddy something stupid when he's in there and they arrested him when he hit the ground. Yeah. That's nuts. That is UK. Yeah. Can you imagine? Go to court and the squatter wins? No.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Be like somebody like living in my attic and all of a sudden says, Well, it's your house. I guess the the defining moment was they said, Well, you don't live in the house. He's been living there. But it's my house.

SPEAKER_04

I pay for it. I paid for it.

SPEAKER_01

He's not paying us anything. Yeah, it's like an old fellow retiree. Like, holy smokes.

SPEAKER_04

Wants to live in the house, I'll rent it to him.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Right? Yeah. But the UK is absolutely crazy. Yeah. Anyway, I'm glad that's not here. That's yeah. That is crazy.

SPEAKER_04

I did not hear that. And it's not AI. That's AI. That's the other thing. You have to go look it up and see if AI AI m made something else. Well, here's the thing.

SPEAKER_01

Like AI AI is so big now. Tyler Perry, if you don't know who that is, people know who that is. He's a big deal. He does the he plays the giant black lady. Yeah. Can't think of her name. He's hilarious when he does it.

SPEAKER_04

Oh my god, it starts with an M.

SPEAKER_01

Medina? No. Medina or Moderna or Medina. Moderna. I don't know. Sorry, folks. Yeah, something with an M. Uh, we'll figure it out if we can put it right here.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. There's like tons of movies too. But anyway, yeah. I don't think I've ever seen it.

SPEAKER_01

So anyway, he was going to build a billion dollar sound studio uh sound studio. Okay. And then he found out and he saw how much AI is doing it. He's like, nope, not doing that. Wasting my money. Oh, because AI can just do it all. AI can do it all now. Yeah, it is crazy. There's a new channel. I don't know if it's on Apple TV or one of those things, but there's a Star Wars thing I was telling you. And it's all AI. And it's better than you'd ever imagine. Oh, okay. And the characters look dead real. Like it's crazy.

SPEAKER_02

Interesting, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Now, on that topic, I just saw this and read a little bit about it. Apparently, Elon Musk people are building a robot that you can have in your house and it will do stuff for you. Like you don't take out the garbage, uh, feed the cats.

SPEAKER_04

They made a movie with that, didn't they? Called iRobot.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's what they and it's gonna kind of look like that, they said, but it's called like Megatron or something. Oh my god. From like one of the Transformers. Yeah, like Megatron.

SPEAKER_04

Megatron's the bad guy.

SPEAKER_01

I know.

unknown

Right?

SPEAKER_01

Right. Yeah. So if you saw the iRobot, good movie, by the way. But Will Smith, you're a piece of human garbage. But anyway, yeah, good movie. And like I said, all the robots turn bad

Cross‑Border Anxiety And Airport Culture

SPEAKER_01

except for that one guy. But yeah. So that's what I'm thinking. You know, like, hey, hey, robot X, take out the guy. Fuck you, lady. Man, like, uh oh. Anyway, that's where it's going. And Elon Musk said in one year he will have at least a million built in soon. Great, ready to go. Yeah. He's so much involved in it that he took two of the different production cars in Tesla and stopped making them so he can make the robots.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, that sounds about right with him.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Yep. Crazy, right?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I just saw something else. I got in this little rabbit hole the other day by accident. An AI rabbit hole? No, no, no, no. Real rabbit hole. He flew with one of his rockets and landed in the ocean close to uh uh Australia. Do you know how long the rocket took to get there? 35 minutes. So basically, what he said he's gonna do, he's gonna fly people with the rocket, land in the ocean, pick you up, take you to land in Australia in 35 minutes for his class. Can you imagine? 35 minutes. We've flown that. You know how long it takes. It's bananas, it's the other side of the world.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, right? Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So Elon Musk changing the world. I guess you forgot about Mars. Hell with that one. Well, he's um, we were going to Australia.

SPEAKER_04

He still wants to colonize Mars as well. Yeah, he does.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that word colonize is probably not a good word.

SPEAKER_00

No, probably what you meant.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. But anyway, yeah, that dude, I couldn't believe it. Yeah. Couldn't believe it. Yeah, well, see, he can he can land those rockets. Now you've seen that. We watched that one, we knew he can he can land those rockets so they don't explode anymore.

SPEAKER_04

I know he has that uh what the head down there they were catching the the boosters or whatever from the rockets, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. Unbelievable. Unbelievable.

SPEAKER_04

Crazy. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So and by the way, we keep looking out the window because we're supposed to have another snowstorm tonight. And uh 10 to 15 this one. Well, that's yeah, I don't know. That's what they say.

SPEAKER_04

Anywhere from experts, it's anywhere from probably 10 centimeters all the way up to 50 plus.

SPEAKER_01

That's a good job, Mike. Yeah. Being a weather person, you never have to be right.

SPEAKER_04

Well, it's like it's the same thing when the hurricanes come in, right? If it's if it stays on this track, this is this is what we're gonna get hit with. If it's moves out here by this much, then we're gonna get like this much less. And I think that's where it's at right now. It depends on where it actually, where the track of this storm actually hits, right? Right now it's which is what we want. Stay a little bit further out, and then we don't we don't we don't get the 30, 40 centimeters, we get like 10, 15 centimeters instead.

SPEAKER_01

Winds are gonna be strong again, too, though. That's the other problem, they're gonna blow around, right? Yeah, it's gonna make it really hard to see. Yeah, this is the third Monday in a row we'll have a giant snowstorm.

SPEAKER_04

There was years ago where it was like Wednesday, was every Wednesday there was a storm. Yeah, and it was a this is this kind of remind me of that year there. Now, right now it seems like every every Sunday night into Monday there's a storm right now.

SPEAKER_01

Well, and when we say, you know, snowstorm, like the whole province of Nova Scotia, everything's closed, schools and like government stuff, and you can't go anywhere. Oh, the metro transit, excuse me, metro transit buses aren't running till like noon.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so the last one that we had wasn't bad, it was just a lot of snow, but not a lot of power. I would just think, thankfully. This one here is gonna be because of the winds, there could be a lot more power out here.

SPEAKER_01

Well, here's the thing, though, you know, us being 300 years old. I remember when, you know, 18, 19, 20, big snowstorm, dad going to work. Never stopped. The old fellas back in the day. Nothing closed, you just go to work. That's it. Where are you going? Work? Okay, shovel out the end of the driveway because the plow can buy.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, like I knew grow growing up growing up in northern New Brunswick. It was That's a little different. It's if you could get down to the main roads because they'd have the main roads as long as they had the main roads plowed, the buses would be on the main roads. If you can get down to the main roads, you were going to school that day.

SPEAKER_01

There you go, man. Yeah. I mean, school's been canceled in this province a handful of times already.

SPEAKER_04

It's only the start of February. It's a hard one, man. It's a no-win situation. You if you don't cancel it, people are gonna be upset because now you're kind of putting their kids at risk because they're gonna go into these dry and jewelry.

SPEAKER_01

Well, here's here's my thing.

SPEAKER_04

If you do cancel it and then the storm doesn't happen, and people are mad at you because you cancel it in the storm and it didn't end up being.

SPEAKER_01

What do people do? Because we don't have kids, what do people do with their kids? Like,

Olympic Qualifications And Point Games

SPEAKER_01

you know, you have to go to work as an adult usually. But now your kids are off school, you can't just leave little Jimmy home 14.

SPEAKER_04

You're working from home or you're calling or you're taking a sick day. It's or a vacation day or whatever. Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Lots of people have to because that's harsh on people, man. They don't want to.

SPEAKER_04

There's a lot of the daycares that are operating on the school schedules, right? So if the school doesn't mean daycares are closed, right?

SPEAKER_01

So you know, like I said, most people used to go to work, now you just take credit what you said.

SPEAKER_04

But yeah, you take the day off, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because that's rough. You got kids, you gotta be home with them, right?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh well. Uh bad news. Uh Catherine O'Hara. Uh you know her from Shits Creek. And uh she was the mom in Home Alone. Uh 71 passed away. We don't know how she passed away, it's not out yet, but uh she went to the hospital and died in the hospital. Okay. Went to the hospital and within hours she passed away.

SPEAKER_04

She's so young, man. 71. Yeah, she was brilliant.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, she was great, man. Yeah. And uh you you were saying, I forgot she was in uh SCTV with uh Eugene Levy and all those guys.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, she was she did a lot of those. Like she did that uh yeah uh what's the one the dog best in show or whatever? She was in that, I think. She was in a mighty wind with Eugene Levy, where they played that folk singing group.

SPEAKER_01

Well, it seems like she's with them.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, they did a lot together, right? Yeah, yeah. She's uh she was the mom in uh in Beetlejuice. Yep, that's right. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, anyway, she's uh Canadian icon, very, very sad. I was actually quite sad.

SPEAKER_01

It's sad, and what what we found out a lot of people don't know, she had this really weird disease, didn't cause her to die, but her heart and all her organs were on the other side of each other. Yeah, I don't think it's it's not a disease, it's a condition. Condition, whatever it was, genetic. But yeah, pretty crazy to have everything on the opposite side because we were talking like can you imagine as a doctor, you say, Okay, listen for your heart?

SPEAKER_04

Mm-hmm. Uh what?

SPEAKER_01

Like, wait a minute, where's your where's your stomach?

SPEAKER_04

You just started watching Shits Creek, eh? I kept telling you guys like you gotta watch it, it's so funny. And she's she's great in that. Uh it is they're all so good.

SPEAKER_01

I had no idea. It's one of those hidden gems.

SPEAKER_04

Moira, is that her name? Moira, the mom.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I didn't even catch her name.

SPEAKER_04

Not even, yeah, but what you're not even that far into it yet.

SPEAKER_01

No, but I remember seeing like on even over in Malaysia, I saw Shits Creek. I'm like, that's hilarious. I wonder what that is. Like, just the name Shits Creek. Yeah, because you know, you up Shit's Creek without a battle. You know, and that that it's Eugene Levy is so good in that. There are the the Dan's. You didn't know that that was his son, Danny. I had no idea to be a man. I'm like, dude is a great actor. His son is fantastic. Yeah, he's really good in that. So good. Dan. Yeah. Anyway, yeah, yeah. I mean, wow. Good on him, right?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. But anyway, on very, very sad news. Yeah, that's uh 71's too young. 71's too young. And she was, she was just in uh, I think I don't know if it's, I guess it might be the last thing she did was in um that show, the Apple TV show there, uh, the studio with Seth Rogan right now.

SPEAKER_01

That's exactly right. Yeah, yeah. Seth Rogan the studio. And I haven't seen it, but I don't have I haven't seen it either, but I knew she'd be.

SPEAKER_04

I think she got nominated, didn't she, for uh Golden Globe for her supporting actress for that.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I think she's been nominated more than once, actually. Oh, she's been nominated way more than once. She's so good. But it'd be interesting. I bet she had like something pneumonia or something, you know. This who knows. Obviously, it probably wasn't cancer because they would have said, you know, was battling cancer for you. Who knows? So we'll see. But it's not out yet. I I looked myself, but I couldn't find it. Uh, you know, anyway. So all right, so a little sad news, but little very sad news, yeah. A little uh uh for for Canadians, big sad news, but in the world, if you don't know her, a little bit of sadness to see somebody nice pass away, right? Right, we don't ever want to see that, but uh yeah, so bring that back up. Um Paul George, poor guy. 25 games for substance abuse. Now, we've got talking about this.

SPEAKER_04

That's uh yeah, well, that's not substance abuse for violating the NBA's substance abuse policy, yeah. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So it's he's not he's not abusing substance, that's not what I meant.

SPEAKER_04

No, so he's come out, he's taken full accountability or responsibility for it. He said it was he was taking a med for uh uh for his uh ongoing mental health struggles.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, having mental anguish. So, yes, people, it does happen, even with uh uh full-grown adults that are millionaires and top of their game, it does happen. It's real, and there's nothing you can do about it. You have to just deal with it when you get it, right?

SPEAKER_04

I mean, Kevin Love has been very outspoken about it.

SPEAKER_01

There's so many people, a lot of people don't talk about it either, right?

SPEAKER_04

You know, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So it is what it is, but uh

Canada’s Medal Hopes In Winter Sports

SPEAKER_01

for him, like I said, it was probably something like that he had to take every day, and then they just tested him, and he's like, I don't even think about that. Yeah, because well that's just it, he probably just described the drug for months just taking it, didn't even think, you know, had to check it out. Which is the piece of the stuff.

SPEAKER_04

But that's why I think he's taking responsibility because it is on the player and their you know their team to make sure that whatever they are taking is is not on that band substance.

SPEAKER_01

But here's what I'm thinking, too. Maybe he didn't go to the team doctor and go, hey, listen, man, this is this cool.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, he's been pretty outspoken about his own.

SPEAKER_01

That's the part that bothers me, right? Because, you know, maybe who knows what we don't know what the pills are.

SPEAKER_04

I think I told you Barclay had said, and I kind of agree with him, that if it was if it was by mistake, it wasn't performance enhanced performance enhancing, and it was for his mental health struggles. Well then, you know, give the guy a pass, right? Yeah, 100%. Yeah, but see, but maybe 25 games is the pass. I don't know. Yeah, that's the thing I'm just saying, right? So when you get when you get caught the first time is the first offense, 25 games, maybe. Maybe that's what it is, right? It's a third of the season. Well, so I saw like for him, it's almost 12 million dollars that he's gonna forfeit now, right?

SPEAKER_01

Well, he's okay.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I man, he it doesn't matter how much money you make. If you take if you're like, oh, I'm gonna take 12, I'm gonna take a 12 million dollar hit, that's hurt. That's gonna hurt, man. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, to us, that's like 120 bucks. Come on. Yeah, okay. So you can't put gas in the car. Ah, yeah, yeah. But yeah, that that is that sucks. Especially like you said, if it's home, yeah. Yeah, well, yeah, 12 million dollars is gonna buy you half a country. I know. But you know, if if it's something he has to take, and that he was just coming back, man, looking pretty good, you know.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, he's I think I said he's the probably the the third leading scorer on Philly right now. So that's still like Philly's doing well. They're like six in the east. They've they've got they've actually started. He's back, and beat has been back and playing well, and Maxie's still playing at a real high level. They got that rookie that's playing really well.

SPEAKER_01

That team's pretty good if they could all play together, but yeah, so much for playing.

SPEAKER_04

Well, this is gonna hurt this, this will be interesting. This will see what this hurts, because even even though he'll be back before the before the playoffs, I think. Just so if they make the playoffs, he's back, but then he's got it, but that's 25 games. That's uh like a quarter of the season if he's not playing with the team. We're like even a little over a quarter of the season, he's not playing with that team. Yeah, so that's uh you know, that's uh that's having to get integrated back into the system.

SPEAKER_01

Well, like I also said to you, it's like, you know, it sucks that Paul's out, but some rookie's going, thank god I get my shot. Yeah, right. So whoever that's gonna be, we're gonna find out. Oh, we'll see we'll see if they're gonna be somebody stepping up.

SPEAKER_04

See, uh either we'll see uh, you know, uh somebody steps up, or maybe there's gonna be a maybe Philly makes a trade at the you know at the trade deadline here, which is coming up soon too, I think.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it is. Yeah. February 5th. Yeah. Uh so speaking of that, Giannis says, I leave I'm leaving.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, well, I think he said he's old. You think he's flat out said, I'm open to a trade. Yeah, so that's what he said. He's been adamant, I don't want to go anywhere.

SPEAKER_01

Uh I'm just waiting for Kevin Durant to get on that burner phone. As soon as he leaves, like if people don't know the story, Giannis came out with his big mouth. He never says anything, but he came out after Kevin Durant.

UK Squatter Story And Speech Laws

SPEAKER_04

Oh, right, chase the ring chasing or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he goes, Why don't you come and uh you know, you know, uh come uh be like me and make your team better instead of chasing rings. And now he's leaving. So I'm buddy, I'm telling you right now, Kevin Durant didn't forget that. He is definitely going to write something. Yeah. Soon as that trade happens, I guarantee it. Right here, you heard it first, and you would think.

SPEAKER_04

Well, it's gonna be interesting to see where he goes, right? Because I know that uh you've you mentioned New York.

SPEAKER_01

Well, they keep saying New York, but I keep thinking like you did, who the hell are they gonna give up?

SPEAKER_04

That's just it. So who are you giving up? Anywhere he goes right now, if it's through a trade, they have to give something up for him, right? So do you do it? Does How does Giannis fit in New York? He doesn't. Well, so that's it, right? So like Giannis wants to go for a chance to win a championship. Another one. But if he goes to like one of the top-tier teams, well, then do they risk giving up that chemistry where they're already near the top to get Giannis in and then you know uh risk that slipping?

SPEAKER_01

Well, let's be honest, Giannis can't shoot.

SPEAKER_04

Or do you or you know, he's more of a middle team that just needs Giannis to get in there. But again, that middle team might be in the middle because of the team they have. If you give up to get Giannis, then maybe you gotta give away three really good pieces to get Giannis, and then now you're just you're Milwaukee.

SPEAKER_01

Right? That's good. But here's the other thing Giannis got luggage. Yeah, his brother. He we got two brothers, right? He got two brothers now, he's got to bring. So what's the deal that? Yeah, you guys stay here and get cut, or you're in the package of me, we're gonna go somewhere else, and you guys just sit on the bench.

SPEAKER_03

It's it's probably like it's like we said with LeBron. Like once LeBron goes, like Bronny's probably Bronny's not coming back to the Lakers either, right?

SPEAKER_01

So listen, if I was Bronny living in LA, you could probably go give sperm and blood, and that would get you through. Because I mean, the six people that bought your sneakers, that's not gonna make you any money. Listen, man, the kids he's still good. He's still a good player, right?

SPEAKER_04

Like he's but he's gonna get way better. Is he he's gotta get way better if he wants to stay in the NBA, he's gotta get way better. He's no dad, but nobody's his dad. So let's go. Because he goes to the G League and he does really well. Yeah, he does, right? But so does Matt McClung. You know what I mean? So, like, just because you do well in the G League doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna transition into the NBA.

SPEAKER_01

That's right. Um But I mean the G League, what do you make? A hundred grand?

SPEAKER_04

I don't know. Well, like I mean, Ronnie's making two million, like or whatever. Oh, red doesn't matter. Right, yeah. Yeah. He's guaranteed contract, right? So um, yeah, the other night was at Washington where I don't know if you saw the highlights, like LeBron had like two or three really good dunks. Dunks, I sorry. Again, like one we drove by the guy, like fucking left hand dunked on him. Another one, like, you know, caught the reverse. But he is left-handed. Another one he like did a yeah, he is left-handed. That's the other thing that people don't really agree. Russell Westbrook, too. That he uh caught an Al Yu toss like with his left hand way back and like threw it down. He was like staring at his hand. Um, but Bronny had a dunk in that game as well. Oh, did he? Yeah, he had a nice one too.

SPEAKER_03

Like breakaway stole the ball, breakaway dunk.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, nice, go, Bronny. So that's what people shit, but I like Bronny. That's what people want to see too.

SPEAKER_03

People want to see LeBron and Bronny both like kind of like having some highlights in a game, right?

SPEAKER_01

The top uh father-son score. Remember, we talked about that? Del Curry and Steph. They're second. Yeah, Bronny with like 12 points.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that's right. Well, that's just again that just speaks to LeBron and the ridiculousness of him.

SPEAKER_01

Pretty funny, really, think about it.

SPEAKER_04

But yeah, so Port Brother. I think he's coming up, he's got to be coming up on 43,000 now, right? Points.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, here's the thing. I saw an interview with him the other day, and he goes, He goes, I'm fighting father time, and right now I'm winning. Like, yeah, you are, man. Like he says, we're all fighting father time, but he's doing he's doing well.

SPEAKER_04

You are

AI’s Rise: Deepfakes, Studios, And Robots

SPEAKER_04

denying this is the first year where I have really like I've seen some you see little things here and there over the years. This is the first year where I feel like it's it's evident that you know, like he's still he's still good, but he's not it's it's pick and choose his games now. It's not uh it's not a consistent. He's still doing 20, he's still averaging 23, five and five, or something crazy like that, right? So it's still pretty good.

SPEAKER_01

Who else? I don't know, I don't know this answer. Who else in the league is his age? Nobody. Well, no, well, he's the oldest player, he's the oldest player in the league. In starting.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Right? Yeah. Now, I I like what you said though. Like when he went to Cleveland, everybody's, you know, that that uh, and you don't think Lakers are gonna sign him. And I said, I think he's going back to Cleveland. Well, people when I said a while ago. I said that a long time ago. Well, yeah, and that's just it.

SPEAKER_04

Like everybody's like, oh, he should go back. Well, they're not again, Cleveland's not gonna trade for LeBron, but if LeBron doesn't have to be a good one. And remember, it's not the same LeBron.

SPEAKER_01

It's not like Cleveland's gonna win a championship. No, right? If they do, that's a fluke. But yeah. Listen, back in the day when he's playing for Cleveland, you know what the people used to say. LeBron and pick four guys from the stands, we will beat the team. Hey, man, he's still a big contributor, right?

SPEAKER_04

Like he could go if he if he signed in the offseason with Cleveland, like Cleveland won 60-some games last season.

SPEAKER_01

I would like to see him as a coach. Because his brain is so smart, I wonder if it can translate over into coaching. Because he's got such a you know basketball mind, right?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, see, that's that's it, that's you know, it's uh But you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_01

When you're that good, you can't coach. It's hard to yeah, it's like it's uh I'm gonna I'm gonna shit on the Canadian here for a minute.

SPEAKER_04

Well, here's the thing, right? It's like you can be that smart, uh, but you're implementing that, and like he's like flat out admitted that he gets really frustrated when other guys don't know the play. So as a coach, you're not even out there being involved in the play. So now you're 100% reliant on the all of them out there, like kind of running your plays. And anyway, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I just remember when Wayne Gresky stopped playing and then he went and coached Phoenix Coyotes. And I was made the joke in the in the you know in the locker room. Boys, it's not that hard to score. I have how many goals? Yeah, yeah. Like, you know what I mean? Like, but but Wayne, you're winging, but it doesn't matter, fallas. I'm just thinking there's no way that translates. You know, Bert Berg was a good coach. Well, yeah, it makes sense sometimes, right?

SPEAKER_04

Like, um, but you know, but look at Jordan, you know, as the uh he was never a coach, but you couldn't. I mean, you know, he he you know, he knew the game, he was smart as they come. There's no way that man could have been a coach, right? He would have every game he would have been he'd come out at halftime with his fucking jersey with the uniform on and be like, all right, that's it.

SPEAKER_01

I'm done. That's enough. Sit the hell down. I got this. Yeah. With the old saying, give me that ball, get the fuck out of my way.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so you know, I don't know. I don't need a pick.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know. I think LeBron, I don't think LeBron needs to do anything when he's he's a billionaire, isn't he? At least. So I don't think he needs to do anything when he right.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I wonder who has more money, LeBron or Rich Paul? Because remember, Rich Paul has like how many clients? Yeah. Right? And remember he had like 20% of the Nike deal.

SPEAKER_04

He he does, yeah. Right. So then well, and yeah, LeBron is a good one.

SPEAKER_01

I'm assuming Rich Paul is Bronny's agent too. Like oh god, you know. Right? He's half the league, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Now, uh Shaq and Barkley talked about LeBron being on the reserve team. Go ahead.

SPEAKER_04

Oh no, I was uh the inside the NBA crew, they always do that. They they list their who they think the uh the reserves are gonna be. Well, they do not have to be a good thing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we didn't we didn't see the root.

SPEAKER_04

Reserve team hasn't been announced yet, I don't think. Yeah, has enough, but this is what our good boys are. So they picked their guys and and and LeBron or Barclay and Shaq didn't have LeBron in their picks. And Ernie and Kenny did, and they were asking like why. So Barclay had said well he doesn't think LeBron did enough. LeBron's on the cusp. He's doing a good, he's having a good year, but you know, like if LeBron gets in, who doesn't get in? Because LeBron gets in, right? So um so that was Barclay's argument that he's having a good year, but it's not an all-star year, which again, like I said, he's like 23, 5, and 5. That's a pretty good year. I've seen there's been other guys that

Rockets, 35‑Minute Flights, And Weather

SPEAKER_04

have gotten into the all-star game with less, and the Lakers are still in the top five, I think.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, or are they still have they dropped even further because they're gonna be?

SPEAKER_01

No, the last time I looked, I was five, but I haven't looked in four or five days.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So, you know, so still doing well in the in a tough western conference. So not because of LeBron, but but isn't it something that that you know that's it? But then Barkley had said so so Barkley had said, or not Barkley, Shaq had said, I don't want him on there because I don't want to see him come off the bench. Right. I'd rather see him start. And so this is where we talked about if it is his last year and he does get in as a reserve, and we've already talked about this, it's in LA.

SPEAKER_01

It's in LA, that's my whole thing. Like, why didn't LA people vote him in? What's wrong with you people? I know, right? You don't like LeBron? Give me a break.

SPEAKER_04

That's just it. Like, this is the first year where he still wasn't even near the top of the phase. Not even close, right? So it's crazy. Um, it's fixed. But if he gets in as a reserve, do they do what they did for Jordan where Vince gave up the spot? Right. Well, that that would be interesting, right?

SPEAKER_01

I want to see who does it.

SPEAKER_04

So who's that's just it? Like, who's on the that's where we're at now? I think somebody's gonna give up the spot. Who is the West starter? So there's gonna be Shay, Jokic, um, Luca.

SPEAKER_01

I'm telling you right now who it is. Shea's Shay's gonna step. Oh, it'd be in like Luca's in there. Doesn't matter. Oh. Right? Luca would say okay. Luca might give up his. But here's how this went. Before the window, LeBron lean in a go, if you don't sit your ass. Yes, sir. Yes, sir.

SPEAKER_04

I'd be interesting to see, right? Who would give up their spots?

SPEAKER_01

Okay, Luca, okay, I can see Luca. But I could but I'm thinking the good old Canadian fellow very much.

SPEAKER_04

Durant will be in there.

SPEAKER_01

Shea, Shea Gilgis. Yeah, I think so. All right, if I'm a betman, I'm going Shay steps aside, but I think it might be.

SPEAKER_04

We could be wrong on this, but I think it's Shay, Luca, Jokic, uh, Durant. And who's the fifth guy on the starter in the list? Why don't we know this?

SPEAKER_01

We don't. Sorry, that's dead air. My bad. I have no idea.

SPEAKER_04

No dead air, yeah. We don't like dead air, but yeah, I don't know. We'll have to look up.

SPEAKER_01

Curry, Curry? Steph?

SPEAKER_04

I don't know if Curry's. Maybe. Maybe it's I think it's Curry.

SPEAKER_01

We haven't looked at the list in a while, but Giannis was at the top there for a while, too.

SPEAKER_04

But yeah, yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway, so yeah, I think it's gonna be Shea, but it makes sense to be Luca. But you see, Durant has respect too, so it could be Durant as well.

SPEAKER_04

Durant and Curry, yeah, but they might both be like, fuck, uh, this might be our last All-Star game, too.

SPEAKER_01

Good point. Somebody's gonna do it for him.

SPEAKER_04

I guarantee it. I think you're right. Maybe it's Luca or Shea. If he gets on, I'm assuming they're putting him on. Come on, man. The coaches are gonna put him on.

SPEAKER_01

These NBA. The NBA will make sure.

SPEAKER_04

You know, um, uh, not David Stern, God. Uh Adam Silver is is actually telling these guys. It's an all-star game in LA, potentially LeBron's last.

SPEAKER_01

Well, this is another behind the scenes when he goes, Do you guys ever want to win a game again? Because I know the referees. Yeah, all those two. Okay. Yeah. We'll bring back Danny. Uh, what's his name? Yeah. Remember the guy, uh, the guy that was doing the betting on the NBA a long time ago? It was Danny something. Oh, I can't remember. I know you're dying. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So anyway, yeah. So we'll see. I hope he gets in. Like, I mean he's got it. These are in the right to you. Sure. And I know, I get it, that it's always it's gonna be at the expense of somebody else. And I would I would argue

Snow Day Logistics And Schools

SPEAKER_04

that's fair, but he's having a fucking good year still, though, man.

SPEAKER_01

Like, okay, what you just said though, that's a good point, because I didn't even look at that. He could take it away from somebody who might never get in again. Correct. That is okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

But again, if he wasn't, if he was having like a 12 years old. And he's not, and it's in LA. He's having 23, 5, and 5.

SPEAKER_01

I mean he's still he's still having a good year. Exactly. And he he made a son that's in the NBA. Like, come on. That's right. That's right. Yeah. Well, put Bronny in then. One of them. What's the other son's name? I think Bronny got it.

SPEAKER_04

I think Bronny got it. Didn't we see that? He got a couple of votes for a starter. Yeah, yeah. Did we talk about that before? Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was him and his dad both voted for himself. Voted for himself. I wanted to. Like, damn it, I'm in. Boom. Yeah. Yeah. Oh well. Who's Bronny's best friend? Probably his brother.

SPEAKER_03

But don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was Reeves. Reeves. Reeves probably voted. I can't go. I'll vote for Bronny.

SPEAKER_04

Now there's another thing. He's been hurt so much. Austin Reeves was having a fantastic year. This year, right? So and I think that was another that that that's when they were talking about LeBron. I know we're spending a lot of time talking about LeBron here again, but um, you know, not be this being his last year in LA either way, because That's what we think. Because I again I agree with Barkley. What I think it was Barclay that said they're not going to pay somebody $57 million to be the third highest scorer on your team, or the third option on your team, which is what he is now, right? Like when Austin comes back, Austin will be, and he, as he should be, um, you know, the the second option on that team.

SPEAKER_01

Well, LeBron should still be a starter, but yeah, he's not the right. He's the third option.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

For 54 million? I don't think so. Yeah, that's right, right. So Well, you know what? There's some other stupid teams that would pay that. There's some giant contracts out there making it.

SPEAKER_04

Here's the thing, LeBron's like LeBron's made it clear. He goes, I'm I'm I'm not sacrificing money. I did it, I've done it before, I'm not doing it anymore. I'm getting what I'm worth. And there's more to it than just there's more to it than just playing the game as well, right? There is from from a businessman? From a yeah, from a business perspective, right? Like he is uh he is a he draws it to the game.

SPEAKER_01

The new documentary from uh 50 Cent comes out on LeBron.

SPEAKER_04

It's gonna be interesting to see how it's gonna be interesting to see what happens to viewership when he goes. Because as much as everybody like has their own favorite players and everything else, there's a huge contingent that all they do, and we're we're we're just as guilty of it. We spend a lot of time talking about it.

SPEAKER_01

Well, it's not just that, it's because he's been playing for 20 years. Yeah. So it look at how many people have seen him play.

SPEAKER_04

Skip Baylor's gonna have to retire at the same time. What's he talking about? Good point.

SPEAKER_01

I was just thinking that Skip Yes and So today, what? Hang on. Yeah, LeBron retired. Me too! All right, I'm done. Yeah, that'd be it. I have nothing else. You don't need any more money either. Skip, you probably get 20 million a year as well.

SPEAKER_04

Because wow, let's maybe let's be honest, he probably would have been well. If Bronny stays in the league, I'll stay in, because then I can shit on Bronny as well, right? But good point. Yeah, good point. Fuck you, Skip Bayless. Skip Bayless.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, uh, you anything else to add today? No, I don't think so.

SPEAKER_02

I think ending it on fuck you, skip aylus was good.

SPEAKER_01

I'll end it on one more thing. Safe driving, everybody, late tonight and tomorrow morning. So we don't want to see any injuries or read it anywhere. Yeah. Oh, I didn't tell you this though. Uh a couple of days ago, uh, I was driving on the uh 102, and dude, there was an 18-wheeler

Remembering Catherine O’Hara

SPEAKER_01

upside down in the ditch. Oh, shit, eh? Yeah, and it was such a what on one of the storm like the no, not on a storm day at all. No, it was clear. Yeah, yeah, a little windy, but uh there was like four different wreckers and six police cars. It was down to one lane from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at night. Oh shit. That's how long it took them to get that 18-wheeler out of there and whatever was in it. It's unbelievable. Yeah, but it might I figure he maybe fell asleep. Cosmic. You know, and went on or the wind, because boy, the wind is strong on that 102 open by the air. It's pretty pretty crazy. But yeah, so I don't know. I didn't read anything about anybody passing away, so he's lucky. No, that's good. Yeah, good for him, you know. But yeah, all right, everybody, that's it for us today. Uh, with uh Bobby D and Mikey D. So you can catch us on Spotify, which apparently we're blowing up uh on Spotify. So thanks for everybody that's watching, and thanks for all the uh comments and stuff. We got some weird ones again.

SPEAKER_04

And listening, yeah. I don't know. I don't know if you can watch on Spotify. I think you can only listen, can you? I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Well, no, I used to watch Rogan on Spotify.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, did you?

SPEAKER_01

Okay, well there you go. I guess it depends. Yeah, so uh uh Buzzsprout has all the other options as well, and you can watch us on uh my actual channel, uh Muscle and Fiction with Coach Bobby, and that's still uh doing well. I got uh really weird comment the other day. Somebody said something about oh man, you don't look that good. I'm like, bro, I'm 60. Yeah, I think I look good for 60, you little piss ant like 15-year-old kid. Where's your shoulders? Where are my shoulders? Are you kidding me? Go look in my pictures on my bio, bro. Yeah, that with these young kids, like, oh, you're not on the stereos. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Liver king looks makes you look small. God, what did you say? I said the liver king makes you look small.

SPEAKER_01

The liver king makes me. Well, I'm gonna outlive the liver king. I'm surprised he's not dead and he's purple. That's not the right color, unless you're Bernie. Right. Right, yeah. Anyway, all right. So on that note, all right, peace everybody. Take care tomorrow in the snowstorm.
