Have you ever wondered if that gut feeling was real guidance or just your nerves in disguise? What if the “intuitive nudge” you’re so sure about is actually just anxiety talking? This episode cracks open the truth about intuition, exposing the subtle ways our emotions (especially fear and fight-or-flight) can hijack the signals we think are coming from within. Through a real-life horseback riding story, you’ll discover how even the most deeply trained intuition can be derailed by an unsettled body, and what you MUST do before you trust any inner guidance again. If you’re ready to learn the honest difference between authentic intuition and emotional noise, don’t skip this one.

Topics Discussed:

  • The most common mistake: why people misinterpret anxiety for intuition (and how to spot the difference in real time)
  • Real-life application: what a horseback riding lesson gone sideways teaches us about emotional triggers and intuitive accuracy
  • When NOT to trust your gut: the counterintuitive rule that overrides almost 50 episodes of intuitive teaching
  • How to reach a state where true intuition finally comes through (with step-by-step breakdown)
  • Practical tools: the power of the pause, actionable scripts for buying time, and why self-reflection is non-negotiable for decision-makers

If you’ve ever asked yourself, “Is this fear or is this my true path?” - this episode hands you the filter you’ve always needed. Rewire your relationship with your own inner guidance, so you can act from clarity, not confusion.

Welcome back to another beautiful episode. Today we are going to be talking about our intuitions and when not to listen to our intuitions. And you guys might, if you've been following along, I mean, we have 50 podcast episodes out. We have hours and hours and hours of free webinars, free Q ⁇ As, free series, like so much video content. I truly don't know what to do with myself. And how much we give back to you guys to follow along to keep up with new spiritual understandings, advanced concepts about the way our energy fields work and how our bodies work and the obstacles we're in and our souls and so much content. And you probably have never heard me say that before, right? You have heard, if you've been following along, any of my OG originals here, that you should always listen to your intuition and you should always tap into your intuition and you should live an intuitively led lifestyle. I have shared how I do things from my business intuitively led to home life, to parenthood, to wealth, so many things. Every aspect of my life is intuitively led. Now, what I want to get into is when not to listen to your intuition. And this applies for if you have a trained intuition and you've invested in some of our remarkable, world-renowned intuitive training programs where, again, I teach you how to tap into this inner wisdom that you have inside of you that each and every single one of us have inside of us that is our birthright. I teach you how to tap into that and how to be able to get yes and no answers, to be able to tap into the skills of yes and no answers, to be able to tap into multiple forms of intuition and not just relying on one. There is so much to intuition. It's pretty much like you have a car and you're trying to go somewhere. You're trying to get to a destination, and there's like 16 different ways you can get there. Each of those 16 ways are different ways you can utilize your intuition and have a different roadmap. It is pretty much having that set destination point, but different ways to get there. That's going to have different scenery and be a different type of road trip than if you were to take any other direction to there. So intuition is the same way. You can pull past consciousnesses, that's intuition. You can look into past lives, that's a form of intuition. You can talk to the body, that's a form of intuition. You can reach the Akashic Records, that's a form of intuition. There's all these different forms that you can utilize to get to the same answer, to get to the same destination, if you will. And we teach that. We teach that within our programs. I watch you and I mentor you to watch your form, to watch your emotional blocks, to make sure that your accuracy levels are at high, high, high levels so that you can go out and you can change your entire life and change those around you and change those that you love and the people that you're around, change their lives as well. We teach all that. We have some of the best programs in the entire world, and the students that come out of them are some of the most accurate, again, world-class intuitives that are existing on this world, existing on this earth right now. However, with all that being said, there are certain times that accessing your intuition or the answers that your intuition will give you will lead you astray and will be inaccurate. And I want you to know that because one of the biggest questions that come up is how do I know what is an intuitive hit and what is anxiety? Or how do I know what is an intuitive hit or what is fear, right? Because we are so conditioned, we are so programmed. We are not truly when we first enter into spirituality or understanding intuition or understanding our soul self or understanding our blueprint, we aren't typically anywhere near where our higher selves have created us to be. This is actually one of the first numbers that I pull for students that join our level one intuition program, is I ask the question, I use my intuition to ask, how much is this person acting as their true core self? And the numbers vary between 15%, 20%, 30%. They're very low because without an intuition, without the ability to have filters and definitions and intuit what choices in life are closest to your true core authentic self, there is no real way of knowing. There's no real way of knowing if the reason you're going carnivore is because your body actually is designed to eat that way, or you've been influenced by someone on Instagram. There is no way to know if the career that you chose as a teacher is because the last three generations of grandparents or women figures were all teachers. Or if it's because it's what your soul really came here to do, you have a divine spiritual gift with children, moving the needle, reflections, all of that, you won't know without having a trained intuition and having that to a dialogue with your soul. That is exactly what intuition is. It's being able to converse with your soul self and ask all sorts of questions. But one of the biggest things I think we focus on within our business is coming up with intuitive questions to see who you truly are and inching your way closer to fully embodying that true core authentic self that your higher self designed you to be, which again, like we talked about last week, is going to be so different than everybody else that you see. You are so unique, so bioindividual. And again, when you can access that true self, core self, you feel free, you feel content, you feel like you're not chasing materialistic things, relationships, and trying to fill all the voids and wounds and holes that you have developed and created throughout your existence so far. So, of course, training your intuition, best thing you could ever do. I always say, I don't know how you guys are living your life without it. But there are times and places where using your intuition and listening to the answers your intuition gives or the way that your intuition is speaking to you will be skewed. And I would not recommend listening and following through on those answers. Okay, for a little story time for you guys, I have this experience that I've been having with my horseback riding. You guys know that I have just moved to Utah, have just started horseback riding, and I'm more than a couple months in, but I am still very much learning the ropes of how to be a cowgirl. Okay, I have no real experience prior to coming. So this is all really, really brand new to me. Now, in just the last couple weeks, I have been working my way up to having my horse canter. So that's like faster than a trot. It is going into pretty much like a medium-sized sprint for a horse. Some of you horse girlies are like dumb Aggie. And the rest of you that have no experience when she was first using these terms, I was like, I don't know what you're saying. So that's a canter. And now I've been working my way up towards a canter because it has felt really unsafe and scary in my body to have the horse that I am on basically be in a mid-level run, like a very mid-sized sprint. And again, if you're just starting out in this, it is a very terrifying feeling, very unsettling, and your nervous system is extremely uncomfortable because there's a chance and there's a lot of balance. First of all, I never knew that my thighs would be so clenched together. There's so many different muscles that are contracting to keep you on this wild animal or this tamed animal. There is just so much more to it than I ever thought. My daughter actually said this the very first time, her very first horseback riding lesson. And I'm like, yeah, baby girl, that's so true. She said, when you look at other people, horseback riding, it looks so simple. It just looks like they're on this like precious little walk with their horse or this run or whatever. It says it looks like they're not doing anything besides like gleefully and smoothly riding this wild animal. And she's like, when you get on it though, she goes, it's actually so much work between the commands and the emotional intelligence between you and horse and your electromagnetic field syncing up, and you know, really reading the horse and the horse reading you and your reaction times and all this sort of stuff. She goes, It's so much harder than it looks. And I was like, Yes, so true. So, so true. And I didn't know that either, right? Like I didn't know that after every single horseback riding lesson, I was going to be so sore. Like my body hurts the next day. It's getting a lot better as I'm getting used to it, but I had no idea. I literally had no idea. And if you guys remember this part of my story, I was looking for a passion hobby probably a year ago. And I was bouncing around between different passions and hobbies. If you are new here, we have a really good episode about why it's important that you have a passion hobby. If you don't, and you have nothing to look forward to, you're not doing anything for fun, it can do a really big number on your energy field. It can make your hormones imbalanced. Like there is so many different negative impacts on your body and in your reality when you do not have a passion and hobby. It's one of the biggest areas of life that women just completely don't follow, or they don't do it enough, or they don't think it's necessary, or they put everyone else first and not themselves. And yeah, it's something that I have to course correct all the time in my one-on-one clients and students. You have to have a passion hobby. And you should go listen to that episode if you haven't yet. But I was looking for a passion hobby, kind of trying to intuit what my body would like. Now, with intuition and with having the ability to do this, your higher self will really put some like out there things in front of you, right? So I was thinking along the lines of like watercoloring or ceramics or Pilates. Those were some of those, like, this will be really fun to learn. I don't know, just what was my other one? Oh, self-defense I did for a little bit. Going to a class and learning self-defense. I've done firearm training. Like I have really dabbled a lot. And my intuition came up with horseback riding. And I was just kind of like, okay, like I have really grown to love horses. When we first came here, I remember making the statements, which I think I've shared before, that I thought it was so dumb people owned horses because what do you do? They just like sit out on the pasture. I would literally rip on them. And lo and behold, my higher self is like, that's gonna be you. You are that gal. So I decided to take up horseback riding, and I remember feeling super excited about it, right? I was new into the trainings and I was just doing the kissy sounds and the different things, and it was like a jaunt and super fun and blah, blah, blah. It was really easy, kind of. It was tough and out of my comfort zone, but overall it was like nothing jarring. And then I got this horse that I was supposed to be riding because my trainer has me ride all sorts of different horses so that I can gain experience with different temperaments and can really get an overall mastery, which I very much appreciate. And I was riding this horse, and she was telling me, Oh, he has, you know, some PTSD. And I was like, oh my gosh, this is my love language. Like, do you know what I do for a living? And we got to talking, and she was telling me that this horse had arthritis in his back right leg. And she was telling me where it was, and my intuition was just like rocking in a roll. And I was like, no, it's not right there, it's over here. And, you know, I was telling her a little bit about it. And anyway, she goes, so when you're riding him, he sometimes can have moments of PTSD and flashback, and we'll kind of start to buck the rider, or if he's just by himself, kind of buck and become uncomfortable because he gets scared about the pain that he used to feel when his arthritis was really inflamed and really bad. And I was like, oh, okay. And so she's getting him ready. We have to really fully exercise him before hopping on him in order for him to get his body loose and his muscles and joints loose and all this sort of stuff. And so she was doing that with him, and all of a sudden I start to see him like buck and get a little sassy. And I was like, oh, hell no. Like I got really scared, and I was like, I don't know if I want to ride this horse. Like, I'm so new to riding, I don't want to be bucked off this horse. And she was telling me some things, and she's like a very blunt, blunt trainer. I do love her personality and her overall willingness to completely share and you know, let you in. She doesn't sugarcoat stuff, which is very similar to my personality. So I was like, this is good, this is good. Anyway, so she's telling me that, you know, she's gotten bucked off a horse and broke one shoulder, or her husband had this happen, or one kid won't ride. And I was starting to be like, oh my gosh, like it was the first moment, and you guys probably that have horse experience are going to laugh at me. But until this moment, I had truly thought that like horses were just these mystical, magical creatures and they could do no wrong. I didn't really have the reality check that they are indeed wild animals and they can hurt you if they get spooked. They can also get spooked just from everyday stuff, like a snake coming in on a trail ride or just anything and not intentional, they can really do some damage on you. And so she's telling me all this, and I'm all of a sudden starting to go inward. I was like, okay, like that's okay. I didn't share that with her, but inside I was like, I am really anxious to ride this horse now. Like, I don't know if I really want to ride him. Like, can I not just pick the other one that's like a grandma horse and so mellow and so low-key? But I didn't say anything and I just kept on. Now remember, my intuition told me from the get-go that I was going to absolutely love horseback riding. Like I was going to be obsessed with it. And there was an image that kept coming to me that I kept feeling inside of myself as I have been more embedded in the community, more around horses. And it's like this feeling of the wind blowing my hair back, right? We all know now after this last episode that I love my hair. But it's like the wind was blowing my hair back. And I was riding fast on this horse, and I was seeing the mountain landscape around me and like the creek and the water, and it was like this overwhelming sensation of just freedom, like fast fun, like nothing can touch me, like invincible freedom. And every time I would have this mental image that I had not yet experienced of riding really fast on a horse, holding on for dear life, the winds blowing in my face, my hair's everywhere, like this very insane sensual moment. I would have these and I'd be like, that's what I like want to experience. And obviously, I have to go through all the baby steps of like learning how to put on a saddle and getting cowgirl boots and all the stuff that have to lead to this moment. So, anyways, I knew my intuition had told me over and over and over again that I was going to have so much fun with this, that it was going to be a true soul love. And it's also showed me some other glimmers, too, of using horses to help people heal, like down the line. I'm talking like 20 years. It's has shown me different glimpses and timelines where we have property and I have horses and almost like retreats type of energy. Anyways, I haven't fully depicted that because we're not there yet. So I knew that like horsemanship and understanding horses, having this skill set, it was gonna be a soul love. So I kind of knew going into it that it was gonna be that. So, anyways, I am having this moment and my intuition, I was listening to it and you know, did all of the precursor steps of signing up for lessons and avidly going to them and paying for them and all this sort of stuff. And it was this moment where my nervous system kicked in, my ego kicked in, and it was like, we should retreat here. We should call this a day. Like, I think it's unsafe for me to hop on this horse. I had all these thoughts going through my head, like, it's unsafe to be on this horse. This horse doesn't know you, you could get really hurt. Do you want to have a physical injury? I was even going further, like, are you high energetic? Match to getting hurt today. Is it safe for your daughter to be on this horse? Because she was going right after me. All of these different things. And I was really starting to talk my human self out of it with a logic, right? And I was going, Oh, hold the brakes. Like, I don't really know if I need to be riding this horse. And I was really having a lot of these thoughts. Okay. So when I checked into my intuition when I was having these thoughts, it was prompting me to really share how I was feeling. And it was prompting me not to ride the horse. Like it was prompting me to go get a different horse, to advocate for myself and all these different types of things. Now, in the moment, it was like a split-second moment, right? So it was a moment where she wasn't really asking me if I want to ride the horse. So she had no idea I was going through all these thoughts and these emotions and all this stuff. But I kind of felt like it's either now where I like have us to go strap up a new horse or I'm going to try and ride this horse today. Now, again, I was using my intuition, right? And my intuition was telling me, go get a different horse, practice your safety, put yourself first. Like all these other different thoughts was telling me to go grab a different horse. Now, in true Maggie fashion, I was kind of just like, nah, it's gonna be okay. And I didn't want to kind of ruffle any feathers. I didn't want to make a big scene. I didn't want to tell her I was a little scaredy cat. I didn't want to tell her that I was having all these intrusive thoughts. So I ended up just riding this horse. Okay. And it ended up being fine. He did not buck, he did not go down and try to stand up on his hind legs. It was totally fine. And I actually ended up truly loving this horse. Now, after I was done with that lesson and I was able to just ride him, and we didn't do any fancy tricks that day or anything, but I felt this connection with him and almost the start of a relationship with him, and felt confident by the end of that lesson that I kind of knew his temperament, I knew what he was capable of a little bit to some degree, and I felt a lot better about it. As I was going home and I was riding home, and my daughter had finished her lesson with him, and he was safe for her lesson and all this other sort of stuff. I was like, why was my intuition wrong? What was going on? I had intuitive if I should go get another one. It ended up being a really incredible ride. I'm so happy that I decided to stay with him. I would have missed out on such a big opportunity if I went with another horse. Like, why was my intuition wrong? Or why was my intuition off? Intuition is never wrong. It's off. And I was replaying and I was noticing, like, yeah, I was highly emotional. I was like 99 out of 100% emotional. My ego was kicking in. My fight or flight response was kicking in. And you guys, that is the number one reason when that happens, when I would not listen to my intuition, is when you are emotional, when you are in fight or flight. So when I was getting those answers to get off, get a different horse, protect yourself, that was coming from a fight or flight response. That was not coming from a balanced response of really what the energy in that situation, in that experience, was really guiding me and telling me. It's kind of like I always give this analogy, but when intuition, if you are not tapped in, or even if you are tapped in, it's very subtle. It's kind of like a pin drop. And you have to understand the relationship with your specific intuition, which we teach in our programs. Also, it's a conversation, so it's a dialogue. So it's like learning a new language, I always say you have to understand the nuance, the tone, the different terminology that's used, all of these different dialect, all of it with your intuition, you have to form this relationship to be able to really understand it and hear it. But the minute that you become emotional, the minute you tap into a fight or flight response, it's kind of like heavy metal music turned on, turned up at loud levels, volume 100. And during that heavy metal music, you're still trying to hear the pin drop, which is your intuition talking to you. Your intuition is very muffled, it is very sluggish, it is very slow, and it is not as obvious to what your intuition is telling you, to where that conversation is going, to what that dialogue is saying. It takes great skill and mastery to be highly emotional and still listen to your intuition, which I have felt like I've put a lot of time and energy and dedication towards that. But in this specific experience, I was too emotional. My body kicked right into fight or flight. And biologically, physiologically, we cannot access our intuition. It will not be accurate, it will be skewed, it will be filtered through the lens of high emotions. So again, going back to that story that I was sharing, when I was asking those intuitive questions, they were muffled. The answer my intuition was giving me was skewed. It was filtered. I was putting on yellow-tinted glasses and not really seeing clearly about what the energy around the room was sharing with me in order to keep my body safe. Now that would be a really good recommendation for you guys, is when you are highly emotional, when you are fearful, when you are in anxiety, I would never listen to what your intuition is telling you. It is skewed, it is imbalanced, it is not accurate. Now, had I had in that moment when I was starting to feel those feelings where I was starting to go, I don't want to be knocked off this horse, I don't want to do this, like I'm scared. When I started having those feelings, what would have been important would be that I take some time aside, right? This would be the most high frequency thing. Take some time aside, take space. Go, I'm gonna go take a five-minute break, I'm gonna go to the bathroom. That would have been a great excuse. And then it would have been taking my emotions down, getting me out of fight or flight, which we talk about, all the ways you can do that within our emotions program, how to get out of fight or flight within five minutes, two minutes, understanding your body, learning when you're in fight or flight. We have a whole six-week program on it, where again I watch your form, I make sure you can do the protocols, I make sure the energy is working, I make sure that you can actually do it, I tell you your blocks if you're getting hung up. But I would have taken myself down, reassessed by asking the intuitive questions again and gotten a really clear answer. Now, because I didn't do that and I just kind of let life continue to spiral on. I, with my higher self orchestrating this experience for me, chose in that moment to continue on with the horse, which ended up being the right thing. And had I again balanced my emotions, I would have gotten to that same conclusion. But my higher self stepped in, she's like, we're gonna make this a great experience, and that's kind of how it unfolded. Now, the point of me bringing all this up is that again, your guys' questions of if I have anxiety, is it my intuition or is it anxiety? If there is any question, if you are emotionally imbalanced, if you are invested in a story, if you are feeling negative feelings, uh, scared, fear, anger, all of those things, you cannot take what your intuition is saying at face value. Your intuition will be skewed by your subconscious programming, your conscious programming, and the layers of fluff that you have put on yourself to fit in and to feel safe, right? Your nervous system will always, always want you to feel safe. It will always want you to feel secure, it will always want you to be in familiarity. The minute you step outside familiarity, the minute you take a risk, the minute that you feel uncomfortable, the minute that there is an unknown is when your nervous system will ping alert, alert, alert, red flag. We shouldn't be doing this. We should crawl back to our comfortable space, our nervous system being settled. And it takes looking at that and going, hmm, I'm in this situation. Am I truly in a state of red alert? Or is my nervous system in a state of red alert because I am out of my comfort zone? So it is one of those two options, and it's so important to be able to pull yourself out of fight or flight to be able to see things clearly. You will not be able to see things clearly until you truly pull down your fight or flight response, become balanced, become neutral, and then you can reassess the situation. Now I can already hear a lot of you guys go, okay, what does it look like to be neutral? What does it look like to be balanced? How can I tell if I'm in that? If I don't have intuition, I can't use intuition because it's inaccurate and I'm emotional. How do I know? What are some signs? So when you are balanced and neutral, you will be able to see the pros and cons of the situation very clearly. Okay. So going back again to my horse story, if I was balanced and emotionally neutral, I would have looked at the situation of, okay, if I ride this horse, I could have the best ride of my life. I could have a really big emotional connection to this horse. I could be introduced to a new skill set that I haven't yet learned, like how to handle if a horse is bucking. There are so many different things. I could feel strong and empowered with learning a new skill set that I was once afraid of. So it's coming up with the list of the pros and then going over to the negative side and also listing out the negative. That's neutrality. It's seeing both sides and being in duality. So then I would go over to the negative side and I would go, okay, so if I ride this horse and it doesn't go right, maybe I get bucked off. Maybe I feel scared. Maybe this scars me for life. Maybe I start to feel really down and disempowered with my horseback riding. Maybe I never horseback ride again. It's seeing both of the options and feeling okay with both. It's feeling neutral in both. It's seeing and going, this could go both ways and I'm okay with both ways. And I can't wait to see what happens. But either way, I'm going to figure it out. It's this underlying tone of I am capable, I'm going to figure this out. I've got this under control. I am okay no matter what. I have the power no matter what. So if that would have been my mindset and those thoughts that were going through my mind, that would have been a neutral approach, an emotionally balanced approach where I could have looked at that and been like, okay, now intuition, what should I do? Right? Keep me safe. What should I do? I'm okay with either, I'm really sitting in a neutralized state. What do you think the best option for me is in this moment? So I hope you guys can kind of see the stark difference of my panicked fight or flight reactions and thought processes. And then what it would have been like if I had a more balanced approach, I would have taken myself out of the situation, which we kind of forget that we can do that. This is something that also comes up with a lot of clients and students is the pause. We've been kind of playing around with this in our live interactions, where one of our students, shout out girlfriend, always goes, There's a power in the pause. There's power in the pause. And what that essentially means is we forget that we can take ourselves out of situations and really reflect. Whether you're in an argument and you need to extract yourself and take five minutes to take a deep breath and recollect yourself. Whether your kids are repeatedly asking you the same question, you're about to lose your cool and lose your shit on them. You can take the pause and be like, whoa, I love that you're asking me this. I haven't came up with an answer yet. I'll get back to you in five minutes, or an hour, or a day. Like in the situation, right? I noticed that my fight or flight system was ticked on and it was rocking and rolling. I could have taken the pause. Like I said, went to the bathroom, pretended my daughter needed something. I could have taken the pause or just been honest, right? And been like, I just need a minute to think. We don't say that enough. And it's honestly so great to take the pause. And it also, we talk heavily about this, it gives other people permission to also see the power in the pause. This is something we've implemented in our marriage within our parenting, right? And going, hey, I love you. I love you're bringing this to my attention. I haven't had a full minute to fully dissect what you're asking of me or what you want from me or what you want this evening to look like or plans or whatever. I haven't been able to fully realize or tap into how I feel about it yet. But give me 24 hours. I'll give you an answer tomorrow. I just need a minute. And when we say that, it gives our kids, it gives our spouse, it gives our friends, it gives our people we are impacting the ability to do the same. When I've started implementing this, I've had in real life friends and family go, hey, I love that you're asking me this. I'm gonna get back to this in a week. You know, I'll give you a date for what we need in a week. And I'm like, yes, I love that because so much of our existence is in this rush. It's in this hurry up and go, like such fast-paced, masculine energy. And it's like so empowering to be able to take that back and be like, I hear you, I see you, I need a minute, and share how much you need, how much time you need, and then be able to give yourself the time and space to reevaluate, understand what you need, solve reflections, get your emotions down, all of it before you come back to them in a balanced place where you definitively know how your body's feeling and you can move forward knowing that you're putting yourself first. And it was a really solidified answer that you just gave them that came from a lot of thought and intention versus again what most people do, which is rush and give answers that they don't really want to give, which leads them into all sorts of problems, like plans, they don't really want to commit to relationships, they don't really want to commit to saying stuff just to appease people. It's a lot of people pleasing energy instead of being like, no, this is what I want, and I'm excited to be a part of this with you. And going back to that story, I should have taken the pause, right? I could have shown my horseback riding trainer that the pause is great, right? I could have shown and role modeled to my daughter the pause is great. And it's okay. I'm not gonna beat myself up over it, but just looking back with intuition when we are getting answers and we don't see them fully come out to fruition, we always want to go back and dissect and go, okay, why was that? Why was this a really great experience? But my intuition told me no. And the reason we want to do that is because your intuition is always right. It is always right. Whether you interpret it the right accurate way is where lines can get blurry if you don't have adequate training, emotional mastery training, dark force training, all these different types of things that can come in and kind of blur the lines for you. But your intuition is always right. Forever and always, your intuition is always right. It is our interpretation, it is our inability to see and read energy clearly in that moment that can sometimes take us off track. So it is always important when we have those kind of like skewed intuitive answers. It's important to go back and be like, why? Why was that a little bit skewed? Why was that a little bit emotionally manipulated? What could I have done differently in that moment so that I had access to my intuition stronger and clearer so that I can continue to rely on it in tough moments, in moments where I need an answer immediately. And we're talking about the power and pause and stuff. Sometimes I'm thinking of like medical needs or instant, you know, dire medical situations. Maybe somebody's bleeding out, maybe somebody's having a heart attack. You don't necessarily get to like power the pause. I'm gonna like duck out of this for a second. You have to immediately react. So having your intuition and training it in those types of situations, more cutthroat situations, is super helpful too, to kind of see where your intuition is, see what you can do differently so that you can continue to advance yourself. So take the power of the pause when you can, right? For all situations, know that is the most high frequency thing, but then also know there might be situations where you need instant intuition. And again, it's good to be able to train for those types of environments, right? Those types of accidents, emergencies, etc., to be able to still use your intuition. So I think it's important to know that your intuition is always there and to never get into this mindset of, oh, if I do this, I can't access it. Oh, if I have this, then I can't access it. It's just knowing the proper steps and protocols to go through and putting yourself in very uncomfortable situations and more out of the box situations, too, if you will, so that you can train in harsh environments, right? It's kind of just like fitness and exercise. You want to be able to put yourself in situations where you don't know what to do or you haven't had to utilize it in that sense that much, but you can see how you react. You can see what areas need tweaking, you can see the weak link of your body, your mindset, your neural pathways, and then, you know, get back to training based on that data that you just collected. So again, I'm not beating myself up over this situation. I mean, if you're not constantly evaluating your life, your choices, your emotions, your intuition, and upgrading your life and getting better, I have no problem telling you guys all my mistakes, all my flaws, all my quote-unquote failures, which are not real. Mistakes are not real. They're all just data points. They're all just data points for past programming that is still creeping in at times. They're all data points for different ways that you can get sucked back into past programming. They're just data points, just data points. And if you look at it from that very scientific analytical lens, you can stop the self-shame, the self-sabotage, the critiquing yourself because it's just a data point. It's just a point of evidence that you can course-correct what you've been doing and keep on keeping on. So again, didn't beat myself up, but looked at it and was like, ooh, like for that split second, for those five minutes I was watching him, the immediate fight or flight response that turned on, I didn't catch it, I didn't do the power of pause, I should do that next time. That's okay if I didn't, because no matter what, at the end of the day, I had an incredible experience with this horse. So incredible. I love this horse. I feel very emotionally connected to this horse. And fun fact for you, since this day that I'm telling you about this story, it was just a couple weeks ago that him and I were able to canter together. We were able to ride really fast together. And that was something that really freaked me out because I haven't, like I said, been familiar with horses and I didn't understand how much muscle and intention it took to ride a horse. And so when I got the trotting down and then we went into a full-blown canter, you guys might have seen the video I did post one. I had my trainer take a picture of it because it had been a skill that I had been working up to for quite some time and that I kept feeling my nervous system pull me back. It was a battle, quite honestly, of my nervous system and my fight or flight response going off when he would begin to canter. If you don't know this, it's like when you're trotting, it's very bouncy. And then when you're cantering and they go faster, it's like a smooth up and down. It's not smooth at all. It's like an up and down, it's a different motion. It's a completely different motion. And every time he would try to get into that, I would get nervous. He would feel my edginess and he would immediately go back to trotting. So it was a couple weeks of me doing that, being like, I'm gonna do it today. And then I wouldn't because I would chicken out and I would get nervous and he would feel my energy and he'd go back to trotting. And then I would try again, and it's like I was really nervous. It was trying to understand the balance of being on the saddle, understanding my own balance on the horse, the emotional connection piece, and all of this stuff, up until the last couple weeks when he got into the most beautiful canter and I was riding him, and I finally got it. And I told you guys this on Instagram, but I'm probably gonna cry even right now and just I do that all the time. I felt for the first time that feeling that I had envisioned that I told you guys about earlier of my hair blowing in the wind and feeling free. Like I was free, I was invincible, I was powerful beyond measure. I tapped into a soul piece of myself in the form of riding that horse fast like that. Like to the point where I got teary-eyed because I was so shook with the energy change within my body of experiencing that feeling that immediately my eyes welled up with tears, and I had to actually stop him after like a minute because I was so moved by the energy change within me, and I couldn't see because my eyes were like watery and glossy, and I couldn't see where I was going and I was starting to freak out again. So I was like told him to stop, and then I did it. I did it over and over and over again throughout that whole lesson, and I just kept feeling that feeling, and it was, you guys, one of the most empowering moments of my life thus far. And I just was so freaking excited. But again, I wouldn't have had that experience and felt those feelings, and it was exactly what my higher self showed me when I was envisioning all those months or a year prior of me riding really fast my hair, like that whole thing I just told you in the beginning of this podcast episode. And it told me I was gonna have a soul love for it. But as you guys have seen throughout the course of horseback riding, and what I've told you throughout this episode is that my nervous system kept going into fight or flight, which is great. We did an episode on this too. You don't ever want to have the lens of like, I don't ever want to be stressed again, or the lens of fight or flight is bad. You don't want that. Fight or flight is great. It keeps you alive and well, and it is so needed. I'm so happy for my fight or flight system. It's just, do you know how to take yourself out of it, right? Do you know how to take your emotions back down so that you can access your intuition and your logical brain again? That's the kicker. But as you guys have seen throughout this podcast episode that I'm telling you, my nervous system kept getting kickstarted when I felt unsafe, when I felt uncomfortable, when I felt like I was in unfamiliar territory. Great. That was amazing, good job. And then I overcame it, right? I overcame it and moved through it and it ended up having this amazing, incredible experience that I started off envisioning and it was just a visual and it was just a feeling I thought I could get to. And I ended up having it in the 3D. I ended up having it in my reality because I was able to push through the highs and lows of this journey and understand when my fight or flight system was talking and when my intuition was talking. That's the key difference here. I would not have had that experience that I had of cantering and getting to go really fast and understanding and being empowered and feeling the feelings of being free and all of that good stuff invincible, if I had not taught myself and mastered the skill set of understanding when my intuition is talking and when my fight or flight system is talking. And this is something that I see people get tripped up on all the time, is that they tend to think that their fight or flight dialogue with their body is accurate, is intuition, right? I just read this the other day. Somebody was saying they were pregnant and they were saying they were having premonition they thought was premonition daydreams and nightmares and signs, quote unquote signs of them dying in childbirth. And they were like, is that my intuition? Is this premonition or is this anxiety? Okay. It is so important to be able to distinguish between the two. Because when your fight or flight is activated, You cannot fully trust and rely on your intuition. Like I said, it's distorted, it's muffled, it's not speaking clearly. You can't fully access it. Again, unless you're training for those types of rough conditions and those harsh environments, you can get to a point where you do that. We've had a lot of stories here at home where I've had to access my intuition when a kid was bleeding or was falling out of a tree or all these sorts of different kids' stories and scenarios. We've had so many of those actually. Like, should we go to the hospital? Should we not? Is this medically needing attention? All of this sort of stuff. So you can train for those harsh environments, but if you don't have those trainings, which we haven't taught yet, it's not in level three training, the highest program we have right now. I haven't taught you yet how to train in those harsh environments. So again, if you're just starting out, if you're going through level one through three, you are going to have to learn the difference between fight or flight response intuition, which I would not listen to, or your true authentic intuition that's crystal clear, loud, and obvious. Okay. And it's important. I would say that it's really, really important and a big skill set that I would recommend investing time and energy on because it will skew you, right? So this girl who is having visions of dying in childbirth, intuitively looking in, I could see that that was her fight or flight response. And she couldn't hear her intuition above it. It was just too loud. Her emotions were too big. And also with how our electromagnetic fields work, she was recruiting in and attracting in all these situations, circumstances, events, and quote unquote signs that were making her feel like that was her reality. Because she was in fear, she was recruiting in more fear, right? That's how our energy fields work. And again, if you guys have health anxiety, if you guys are feeling like bad things are gonna happen, if you feel like your anxiety is talking, if you feel like fear is talking, if you even have that nudge of like, ooh, could this be intuition? Could this be anxiety? I would always, always veer towards that imbalanced emotion speaking at that time and not intuition. Intuition is obvious, intuition is clear, intuition is neutral, is what I would say too. Like the hits you have come in are almost just like a dropping of information into your body at times, or when you ask an intuitive question, it's neutral. It doesn't have fear attached to it, it doesn't have emotional imbalance attached to it, it doesn't have anger or ego attached to it. It is just neutral. And so if you're even guessing if it's intuition or fear or intuition or anxiety, always, always assume that you are emotionally imbalanced and do what you know right now with where you're at to learn how to drop your fight or flight response so that you can access your intuition better. And I would even play a little game or a little challenge with yourself as well, where you go, is this intuition, is this fear? Okay. You're sitting with like, is this real? Is this not? Is this what my intuition really wants me to do, or is this fear? If you're asking those questions right, you're gonna assume it's fear, you're gonna assume it's anxiety, you're gonna assume it's an imbalanced emotion. What I want you to do is I want you to go and use the tools that you know, drop your emotions down, okay, and then go back in and re-ask and see how different the answers are. And the more that you do this and you play around with that dialogue, you play around with that intuitive conversation, you access fight or flight, you know what it feels like to be in fight or flight, you know what it feels like to have clear, intuitive answers, it's going to become really obvious what is speaking to you at which time. So going back to my horse story, there on a subconscious level, the fact that I decided to blow through my intuition and continue to ride the horse most likely was because that I knew my intuition was skewed. I didn't have like the conscious thought. It was a subconscious thought of me being like, I don't think my intuition is spot on right now. I'm gonna go ahead with this experience, anyways. Because subconsciously I have had so many experiences that I know what my fight or flight response is, I know what my intuition is. And even if I didn't have this step-by-step thought process going with it, I subconsciously knew that my intuition was not accurate in that moment and decided to blow through it. Because I don't normally blow through my intuition. I'm very good about following all the things my intuition has to offer. And so dissecting it a little bit further, that is actually what happened. Okay, so as you go throughout this week, I wanted to clear that up for you guys. Intuition versus imbalanced emotions. When not to listen to your intuition is when you are emotional. Okay. Just plain as day, it's a pretty black and white line. If you are emotional, to the degree you are emotional, is going to be to the degree that you skew your intuitive answers. So if you've trained your intuition and you want that next step, I would focus how to have mastery over emotions. Because emotions are going to be what dictates how accurate your intuitive answers are. If you have already nailed the training, the mentorship, the different ways to grab intuition. If you're already kind of learned intuition and you went through the levels, the next logical step is harnessing in your emotions, because that is going to really play a key piece into the accuracy. And again, when you can decide when to listen to your intuition and when not. If you are new here, we have a intuition five-day challenge, which is where I walk you through what intuition is.
