Covered by the Blood | Exodus 11:1-12:28

Athens Church

Today's message looks at the night of Passover, when God brought justice on Egypt and rescued his people. After nine warnings, Pharaoh still refused to listen. Judgment came, but God also made a way of mercy.

God told each family to sacrifice a spotless lamb and put its blood on their door. When judgment passed through, every home covered by the blood was protected and Israel was ready to leave slavery behind.  This night became the foundation of their story.

Centuries later, Jesus celebrated Passover with his disciples and revealed its true meaning. He is the greater lamb whose blood brings freedom and new life.
