Scripture Focus: Proverbs 22:6
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

As parents, grandparents, mentors, and members of the body of Christ, we have been entrusted with a priceless responsibility—to intentionally disciple the next generation. The world is constantly trying to shape our children’s identity, values, and beliefs, but God has called us to lead them in His truth.

In this episode of Woman in Christ, Aunica Miles shares a heartfelt message about the importance of planting God’s Word into the hearts of our children while they are young. Together, we’ll explore what Proverbs 22:6 teaches us about spiritual leadership, biblical parenting, and the eternal impact of faithfully sowing seeds of faith.

The Bible reminds us that one plants, another waters, but God gives the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6). We may not always see immediate results, but every prayer, every Scripture, every act of love, and every lesson about Jesus is a seed that God can use to transform a life.

Hello, hello, hello, great people of God. Thank you for tuning in to Women in Christ Podcast with Annika Miles. The scripture of focus will be Proverbs chapter 22, verse 6. Train up a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart. O gracious Heavenly Father, O God, reapproach your throne of grace, Lord God, first to say thank you, Father. Thank you, Father God, for your grace and your mercy and your loving kindness towards us, Lord God. Heavenly Father, Lord God, I ask, Lord God, that you rest your Holy Spirit upon me, Father God. Put your words in my mouth, Lord God, that you desire to speak to your children, Father God, and open their hearts, O God, to receiving your words and your message, Father God. In Jesus Christ's name, I pray. Amen. So as the scripture of focus today would be Proverbs chapter 22, verse 6. Train up a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart. So I'm gonna read a section to you in my book called Saving Our Children. We must stand in the Gap. In a world filled with such despair, I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. I love you. I created you to have dominion over all. By my mercy, you will overcome. By my grace, you will be strengthened. I have not left you. I will protect you. Do not fear. I am your God. So that is a um that is in a poem in my book, saving our children. We must stand in the God. Children are our gifts from God, they're our seed. And the enemy seeks to destroy them. He seeks to take um their life, their hope, their future, their identity. And so as the scripture of focus, Proverbs chapter 22, verse 6, train up a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart. It is our responsibility to equip our children with what they need in order to make it, in order to live out their God-given purpose, their identity. And what they need is God. Who they need is to be brought into their lives is Jesus Christ. It is important to teach our children about God, to teach them about their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our children today are not equipped for the things that are taking place in their life. They're not, they don't know how to pray, they don't know that they have God to turn to, to approach, to approach his throne in holiness. So they're just operating aimlessly. It's very important to train up a child in the way that they should go. So when the things that um come upon them, the stresses of life, um, pressures of life, the ungodliness that we are surrounded by in this world, when they are um faced with it, they will be able to um live by what God has taught them, what um Jesus has um instructed them, guided them. But without knowing God, without knowing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they are defenseless against the attacks of the enemy upon their mind, not knowing that they have someone fighting for them, that they um have Jesus Christ and they're redeemed and they're saved and they're delivered, um, and they can turn to him when things people try to come up against them, when situations try to arise upon them, when their emotions um try to get the best of them. It's important to train up a child in the way that they should go. And when they when he is old, he will not depart. Children must be our allies and not our enemies. We must stand in a gap for them, we must fight for them, and um, my book, Saving Our Children, We Must Stand in a Gap, is available on Amazon, and I've also created um a series of books, A Mere Sincere, God is always with me, Arya Cooper, I am capable of so much. These this but these um series of books are are there to help our children learn about God, to plant the seeds, because one plant, one waters, but God give the increase for them to learn who God is and who they are in God, their Christ-given identity, their purpose, so they can stand in that in the time when the enemy tries to overtake them, when he tries to come up against them, when he tries to um cause them to not know who they are when trials and tribulations arise. Man cannot live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. And the different series and collections that are on Amazon, um, American Cere, there's a coloring book for young kings, and also a book God is always with me, to teach our young men that they have God. God is always with them. They are not alone, they're not alone. Jesus Christ is with them everywhere to help them to build confidence, to help them to be build up their faith, and to help them in their journey in this world. The Arya Cooper, I am capable of so much, is to teach our young women, our young girls, that they are capable of so much. That they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them in a world that tries to tell them and limit them and try to tell them they're gonna be nothing. The book instructs them, gives them guidance and confidence and helps them to understand that they are something. They are created for a purpose. They're not left in this world as orphans. God created them, and they have their unique gifts and talents that God has placed inside of them. It's our job to equip our children with what they need in order to be able to um be sustained, they must be sustained by Jesus Christ, and can't be sustained if they do not have um, if they do not know God, if they don't know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. So um the book Saving Our Children, we must stand in the Gap is available on Amazon, and it helps you to also understand the attack that is upon our bloodline, our children, the things that they are facing, how the enemy creeps in to try to um destroy them. I urge you today that we must stand in a gap in saving our children. As Proverbs chapter 22, 6 says, train up a child in the way that we should go, in the way that he should go. And when he is old, he will not depart. Oh, gracious Heavenly Father, oh God, we approach your throne of grace, Lord, first to say thank you, Father. Thank you, Father God, for your grace, your mercy, your loving kindness towards us, Lord God. Thank you for your children, Heavenly Father, Lord God. Lord God, we ask, Lord God, that you help us, Lord. As your word says, train up a child in the way that he should go. And when he is old, he will not depart. Help us to train up our children, Father God, in the way that you would have for them to go, Lord God. Help us to stand in the gap, Lord God, against the attack of the enemy that's coming up against them in their minds, Lord God, in their spirits, Lord God. Help us, Lord God, in the name of Jesus Christ, Lord God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, Lord God, to pray for our children, to intercede in prayer for our children, to bring back you into our children's lives, to into to let our to teach our children your ways, Lord God, to live as an example of what you require of us, then live as an example of the truth before them, Father God. In the name of Jesus Christ, Lord God, have your way in our children's life, Lord God. Help them, Lord God, when they're feeling lonely, Lord God. Help them, Lord God, when they're feeling in despair, Lord God. Help them, Lord God, when they feel, Lord God, that they are an orphan, Lord God, they are abandoned, they are forsaken, Lord God. For your word says, Lord God, when your mother and father forsake you, Lord God, you will lift them up, Father God. Rest your Holy Spirit upon them, Lord God. Comfort them, Lord God, wrap your arms around them, Father God. Blow your breath upon them, heavenly, Father God, in Jesus Christ's name. I pray, Father God. Have your way in our homes, in our families, in our children's lives, Lord God. And help us, Lord, to stand in the gap for them, Father God, to save our children, Lord God. In Jesus Christ's name I pray. Thank you so much for tuning in to Women in Christ podcast with Annika Miles. Have a great day.
