Work Out Your Salvation: Jesus Makes Us Whole

We were never created to live apart from God. Sin caused separation between humanity and our Creator, leaving an emptiness and brokenness within us that the things of this world can never truly heal.

Many of us spend years trying to fill that void through relationships, success, possessions, distractions, or our own strength. Yet lasting healing begins when we are reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the way back to the Father. Through Him, we receive forgiveness, restoration, purpose, and the wholeness our souls have been longing for.

Philippians 2:12–13 teaches us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, remembering that it is God who works within us, giving us both the desire and the power to fulfill His purpose. Working out our salvation does not mean earning it. It means continually surrendering to Christ, growing in obedience, and allowing God to transform our hearts and lives.

We are only here for a little while, and none of us knows how much time we have left in this world. Today is the time to turn back to God, receive His grace, and walk faithfully with Jesus.

The void can be filled. The brokenness can be healed. The lost can be restored.

Jesus is the way. Work out your salvation in Him.

Hello, hello, hello, great people of God. Thank you for tuning in to Women in Christ Podcast with Annika Miles. Today's scripture focus will be Philippians chapter two, verse twelve through thirteen. Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for his good pleasure. O gracious Heavenly Father, O God, we approach your throne of grace, Lord, first to say thank you, Father. Thank you, Father God, for your grace and your mercy and your loving kindness towards us, O God. Lord God, I pray, Lord, that you rest your spirit upon me, O God, and put your words in my mouth, Father God, that you desire for your children to hear, O God. And I ask, Lord God, that you open up their hearts, O God, to receiving your word and your message and your love. In Jesus Christ's name, I pray. So the scripture focus we're looking at, Philippians chapter two, verse twelve through thirteen. Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for his good pleasure. Let's take a look at what it means when it says, work out your salvation with fear and trembling. No man knows the hour when their soul is going to be required of them. We are here but for a little while, and then we're gone. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. And for God sent Jesus to die for our sins, that whomever shall believe in him shall not perish, but will be saved and have eternal life. As Jesus has bared our sins on the cross, and whoever shall believe on him, it's not by the deeds that we are saved, it's not by the good deeds that we do, the work that we do that we are saved, but it's by believing, believing, believing in the Son of God, believing in the Son of God, our Savior, our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, that suffered, that was prosecuted, because through one man, sin came into the world and separated us from God, made us feel broken, wandering in this world, seeking to be made whole, seeking to be made whole, not understanding why we feel so broken, why we feel so empty, why we feel a void inside of us. Many speculate as to why they feel why they feel empty. We think of many reasons to make us to make us believe this is the reason we feel empty. We feel empty because sin came into the world through one man's disobedience and separated humanity from God. We were not created to be apart from God. We were created to be on earth walking with God. We can do nothing apart from Him. So the emptiness we feel in the inside, that longing that we feel to be made whole, that wandering that we have, that we seek all different things on the earth, but cannot find nothing to make us whole in it. There's various things we have tried, but we cannot seem to find what that thing is to make us feel whole. But it's understanding that we as humanity were never created to be apart from God. We long for Him. Your heart long, your soul longs for your creator, not your mother and your father, not your brother and your sister, not your aunt or your uncle or your cousin, not alcohol, not various drugs, not various lovers. Your soul, our soul longs for a relationship with the Creator. And so Jesus came into the world. God sent his only begotten Son, that whomever shall believe on him shall not perish, but have everlasting life and be saved, be made whole, to have salvation in him, through believing in him, through our faith in him. Because as you look at um, it says, For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for his good pleasure. It's the Spirit of God that gives you the will and the ability to perform the will. But before we can even get to that, you must have faith. Faith is the evidence of things not seen. But the assurance of hope all through Jesus Christ. That's where our salvation lies. He sent his son to die for us. While we were still sinners, before we even knew what we were doing was wrong, before we even understood anything that we may even believe to have understood or understand. Many have the answer. But if the answer was what really was helping you, why is that emptiness and that void still there? Why do you not feel whole if it's alcohol helping you? Why do you not feel whole if it's your marriage or your husband or your uh wife or your girlfriend or your boyfriend helping you? Why do you still feel that longing inside of you? Why do you feel that longing inside of you? If alcohol is what's helping? If anything that we're trying is what's helping us, why do we still feel empty? Why do we still not feel purposeful? Why do you still not feel fulfilled? In order to obtain salvation, you must believe. You must believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Son of the One and Only God. And you will be saved. You will be saved. He died to redeem us, to redeem us back to God. What sin did when it came into the world and separated us from God, he redeemed us, delivered us, and then reconciled us back to our Creator, who we were never supposed to be apart from. He made us whole again, bringing us back together with him, bringing us back together with him. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for you do not know the time or the hour when your soul will be required of you when your time on earth is done. Where are you going when you leave the earth? Where are you going when you die? I urge you to work out your salvation with trembling and fear. Believe on the Son of Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Accept him into your heart. For he has already died for our sins. Salvation is a gift of God's grace and mercy and love towards us. That we have a Father that loves us so much, that loves us so much, that thought we were worth saving, that thought we were worth fighting for, that thought we were we were worth um coming for. He sent his son that knew no sin. That knew no sin. Jesus did no wrong. Was no evil found in his mouth and died for us. So work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

We can't thank you enough, Father God, for we are so undeserving of your love, your mercy, your kindness towards us. But you love us anyway. We ask that you help us, Lord God, to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling, Father God. Help us, Lord God, in the name of Jesus Christ, Lord God, help us, Lord. We need you in this world, oh Father God. We need you, Father God. Help us, oh God. Help us, Lord. Help us, Lord. We cry out to you, oh Father God. I ask, Lord God, that everyone listening to this, Lord God, you'd come into their hearts, oh God. You you um comfort them, Father God, you strengthen them, Lord God, in their journey in this foreign land, oh Father God. Help them, Lord. In the name of Jesus Christ, oh God. Help them, Lord.
