The Matinee Touch
Our first episode premieres! Charles and Jonathan go over two forgotten classics-Matinee (1993) and The Medusa Touch (1978) while discussing the modern state of the industry and where it could be heading. Matinee is a period piece dramedy about a small town dealing with the Cuban Missile Crisis when a conman film director comes to town to promote his cheesy B-movie. The Medusa Touch is a supernatural thriller about a miserable writer who slowly discovers he has telekinesis and how he uses it to destroy the lives of people around him Death Note-style.
