Who are we?
Al-Mahatta is a media platform established by a group of journalists and content creators. It is an independent podium that is not funded by any political party or financial institution; neither local nor foreign. Al-Mahatta is independent; but not neutral. We have a clear political, social, and cultural position. We stand by the people - all of the people, and we oppose all forms of dominance and occupations around the world; be it political, economic, cultural, or through direct military force.
Our platform aims to tell the truth as it is through a series of programs, panel discussions, reports, and exclusive document leaks. We say what the mainstream and the “alternative” media - funded by dominating regimes and their institutions - won’t say.

تتناول الحلقة جذور أزمة قانون الانتخابات في لبنان منذ تأسيس دولة لبنان الكبير عام 1920، مروراً بكل المراحل التي جرى فيها تفصيل القوانين على مقاس الزعامات والطوائف. تكشف كيف تحوّلت الانتخابات من أداة ديمقراطية إلى وسيلة لتقاسم النفوذ وترسيخ النظام الطائفي. وتُظهر الحلقة أن كل تعديل انتخابي في لبنان كان انعكاساً لموازين القوى المحلية والإقليمية، لا لحاجة إصلاحية أو تمثيلية حقيقية.
