Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the Jillian Gray Show. Today we are talking about something that quietly shapes every part of your life, your decisions, your boundaries, your relationships, and your direction and your identity. And that is self-trust. Not the kind of trust that you try to talk yourself into, not the kind of trust that you write in a journal, not the kind of trust that you think your way through. I'm talking about the kind of self-trust that lives in your body, the kind that shows up as a pull, a knowing, a sense, a shift, a yes or a no. The kind that says, I know what I feel, I know it's right for me. I don't need to explain. I don't need permission. When self-trust
Why Self Trust Shapes Everything
is strong, your life feels clearer. When it's weak, everything becomes harder than it needs to be. And here's the truth that people struggle with. Self-trust isn't a mindset, it's a relationship with your body. So today I'm going to give you three grounded somatic steps to rebuild that relationship in a way that feels human, doable, and supportive of who you become. By the end of this episode, you're going to feel more connected to yourself than you have for a long time. And you're going to know what self-trust feels like, not what it sounds like, what it actually is. So let's begin. What self-trust actually is. Self-trust is the ability to feel what's true for you, to hear your own signals, to stay connected to yourself and to act from that place, even when your mind is scared, even when others disagree, even when the path is not fully clear. Self-trust isn't loud, it isn't dramatic, it isn't forceful, it's quiet, it's steady, and it's embodied. It's the moment you feel a pull and you follow it. It's the moment you feel a no and you honor it. It's the moment you feel discomfort and you don't abandon yourself. Self-trust is a relationship between you and your inner

signals. And most people don't lose trust because they're broken. They actually become broken because they don't self-trust. Most people lose trust because you've been taught to override what yourself feels like. If you think about everything we've been taught since we were children, it was to ignore your feelings and to move forward with action. That countericts everything that your trust is based on. So today we're gonna undo all of that. So why self-trust breaks down. Before we rebuild self-trust, we need to understand why it's missing. So there's three core reasons. First, we just talked about this. You were taught to trust your mind over your body. Your body speaks in sensations, it doesn't speak in logic. But most of us were trained to ignore that. Most of us were trained to center all of our emotional base on logic only. You were also taught to prioritize others' comfort over your own truth. This teaches your system that your needs are negotiable. Not only that, they're not important. They're not in the forefront. And last, and most importantly, you were taught to fear being
Why Self Trust Breaks Down
wrong. So you hesitate, you overthink, you second guess, you disconnect from yourself. Self-trust is not something you learn, it's something you rebuild. And today we're gonna rebuild it step by step. So here are the three steps to rebuild that self-trust in your body. First step, somatic truth, learning the difference between fear and knowing. This is the foundation. If you can't feel the difference between fear and truth, then you are always going to second guess yourself. So let's break this down. Fear contracts, truth steadies, fear tightens, truth softens, fear spirals, truth grounds. Fear is loud, truth is quiet. Fear demands urgency, and truth gives space. Your body has a signature for truth. For many
Step One Fear Versus Knowing
people, truth feels like warmth, it feels like openness, it feels like a grounded heaviness, it feels like a quiet yes or a sensation of, ah, this fits. Fear feels like a tightening, a buzzing, an urgency, a pressure, a chaos emotion. So let's do a quick somatic check-in. I want you to place your hand on your chest and take a slow deep breath in and ask your body, what does truth look like for me? Don't think, just feel. Now I want you to ask yourself, what does fear look like for me? Feel the difference. This is the beginning of self-trust. It's learning your body's language because your body never lies. Your mind does, your conditioning does, and your fear does. But your body never. It doesn't know how. Step two, your internal boundaries. Stop handing your power to other people's opinions. We are all guilty of this. And this is where most people lose self-trust. Self-trust collapses when you outsource your truth to other people's reactions, other people's expectations, other people's comfort, other people's approval. Every time you ask someone what you should do, every time you pull your friends, every time you wait for permission, every time you shrink your truth to avoid conflict, you teach your system, my truth doesn't matter. Internal boundaries are not about keeping people out, they're about keeping yourself in. So
Step Two Internal Boundaries
here is the truth. You can't rebuild self-truth if you're constantly scanning the room for validation. So the first step in this boundary practice is the pause. Before you ask anyone else's advice, ask your body first. See how that feels. The second step is to hold in that space. When you feel the truth rise, don't share it immediately. Hold it. Let it settle before you expose it to others. And the third practice is to be non-negotiable. When your body says no, you stop explaining, you stop justifying, you stop apologizing. Your no is a complete sentence. Get used to it, get comfortable with it, and allow it in. Your internal boundaries are how you stay loyal to yourself. Okay, so step three is all about microalignment, taking small actions to prove you can trust yourself. This is where self-trust becomes embodied. So not only are you going to stop sharing every decision you make with everyone around you to grab their opinion, not only are you going to stop ignoring the way your body feels in the reactions it has when you're presented with something, you're going to step back and you're going to take small actions to prove to yourself that you can trust yourself. Because this is where that embodiment really starts to pull in. You don't rebuild trust through big leaps, you rebuild it through microalignments. So when you're bridging that gap between your mind being the major decision maker to allowing your body to have its say in the process, you have to create tiny actions that tell your body, I
Step Three Microalignment Actions
can hear you, I honor you, I follow you. When you do that, reactions that you have are going to become more predominant. So it's going to be easier for you to tap into them because as you focus on something, you allow it to grow. So some examples are if you feel pulled to rest, rest. If you feel pulled to leave, leave. If you feel pulled to say no, say no. If you feel pulled to reach out, then reach out. If you feel a pull to stop talking, stop talking. If you feel a pull to change directions, change directions. Every microalignment action strengthens your internal trust. You start telling yourself, I'm listening, I'm going to be there. And that shifts your own self-love and opens you up to being able to become more connected to your truth. Every time you follow your body, you trust more. Every time you ignore your body, you trust less. Self-trust is built through repetition, not through perfection, not through certainty, and definitely not through confidence, through repetition. So next, we're going to chat about the self-trust feedback loop. So when you start to practice these steps, something powerful happens. Your body starts giving you clearer signals. Your decisions become easier, your boundaries become cleaner and clearer, your direction becomes obvious, and your life tends to become simpler because you just have this idea that you know what to do. This self-trust loop starts to create a feedback. The more you trust yourself, the more clarity you receive. The more clarity you receive, the more aligned your life becomes. Self-trust is not a skill, it's a relationship, and it's something that you're building. And more importantly, it's something you have to learn to rebuild
The Self Trust Feedback Loop
because that self-trust piece has been taken from you. And all of the conditioning and everything that we've seen occur in our society that have brought us away from that piece leave us in a state where we cannot trust ourselves. So therefore, we become followers, followers of the fear, followers of the thoughts, and followers of a logic that does not lead us to our truth. It doesn't lead us to our authentic selves. That authentic self sits on the bridge between your awareness of what you need to do and what your body is telling you to do, and how your mind helps you build upon those skills. So you need both together in order to really move forward and live the life that you're designed to architect. So last, we're going to do a guided somatic reset. We're going to take a moment to tap into our body, to be soft and grounded, and to step into our own truth. And I'm going to invite you to come back to this reset anytime you feel like you're losing your way. And we're in a culture right now, we're in a time period on this planet where it's pretty easy to lose your way. So having those check-ins on a regular basis is important. When you move through a body technique like this, where you are telling that somatic frequency within you that it matters and that you're going to pay attention to it, you awaken it within you. So as you're building these little micro tools to become closer to your own truth, it
Guided Somatic Reset Practice
flows faster, it becomes more apparent. And you start to step into it in a way that cannot be swayed. So I want to invite you to do this practice on a daily basis and allow this part of you to waken up as you're stepping into that self-trust and that self-knowing part that your soul has been calling you towards. Take a deep breath, close your eyes, and place your hand on your heart. Feel your body. Feel the quiet intelligence inside of you. Let that sink in deeply. And as you breathe in and out, I want you to repeat to yourself these words. I trust what I feel. Let that truth move through your chest. Let it settle into your stomach. Let it anchor into your spine. The version of you that doesn't second guess. It doesn't shrink. It doesn't abandon. See that part of you. Feel that part of you. Let that presence steady you. Let it anchor into your root. And let it become your new baseline. Feel the difference in your body. Feel what it feels like to trust. That inner knowing. That deep peace. That awareness. That remembrance. That is where your truth is. And breathe out as you invite your inner truth in. And you release the noise. Anchor your body in place. Come back to external awareness. And open your eyes. Thank you so much for being here with me today. This was an important topic I wanted to cover because I think we're getting, as a culture and as a community, a little far away from our own truths because so much noise is out there. And that noise is designed to pull you away from that truth. So being aware of how you center yourself, having the skills so that your own intuition can awaken is going to be huge as we move through these next several months. And as we move through these years together, as everything on this earth continues to evolve, you having a connection with your somatic frequency means you've got a connection with your soul.
Closing Perspective And Weekly Invite
And that connection is one that can't be faked. So I welcome you to step in your power as we move through and we open up and expand our energy together. And join me each week, Tuesday mornings at 5 a.m. as we open up to a new expansion of our own inner blueprint to become the architect of the life that's always been calling you towards it. My name is Jillian Grace, and I'll chat with you soon.
