Today we're going to be talking about the one investment that nobody that nobody on planet Earth can take from you. Let me ask you a question. If somebody emptied your bank account tomorrow, could they take your gifts and talents? If you lost your job. Could they take your gifts and talents? What if the economy crashed? Could they take your calling or your destiny? The answer is no. Because the greatest investment you'll ever make is not into the stock market. It's not even real estate or cryptocurrency. Check this out. It's not even your career. The greatest investment that you'll ever make is discovering why you were put on this earth in the first place. Because once you discover your purpose, you've discovered something that no recession can steal, no competitor can duplicate, no government can regulate, no hater can cancel it. And that's why today we're talking about why the path to real prosperity, and contrary to what social media tells you, prosperity does not begin with money, it begins with purpose. Now, let me tell you about why discovering your purpose, first of all, gives you a competitive advantage. See, one of the greatest truths that I've learned is, and this is what really gets me excited and talking about purpose. I've been talking about discovering your purpose for over a decade, and it just still excites me. And the reason why is because purpose cannot be copied. See, people can imitate your style. Black sheep, come on now. You know, they copy, compete, and compare, talk down, all these different things. They can copy your business, they can recreate your products, they can even steal ideas, but they cannot duplicate you because there has never been and there never will be another person with your exact DNA. See, when you understand that you were tailor-made, your fingerprints are unique, your life experiences are unique, your pain, everything that you've gone through, my black sheep family, it's unique. Your victories are unique, even your perspective, your talents, your gifts, your natural-born talents, that is your competitive advantage. See, this is why I don't even waste my time competing with people, and this is why I also tell you, family, that when you meet people that's competing, they have exposed themselves to be a competitor and not someone that wants to see you win. Because, see, if a person is competing with you, they always want to feel like you're under them. Because nobody, but here's the thing: nobody can beat me at being me, nobody can beat you at being you, and that's why I just laugh at them. That's why I know for a fact when people play that game, they haven't discovered their own thing yet, and they possibly have low self-esteem, but I know they're not around to see me win. See, your purpose is your economic ecosystem. This is what's so cool about purpose, y'all. I'm telling you, you gotta discover it. See, a lot of people think purpose is just about passion. No, it's bigger than that. See, purpose creates an ecosystem when you commit your life to solving meaningful problems. Purpose starts to producing fruit, it produces influence, opportunities, relationships, introductions, it produces wisdom, peace, fulfillment, and yes, it can produce incredible wealth. See, money is the only one fruit on the truth, on the tree, it's only one type of fruit, right? But purpose is the tree, money is a part, money is a fruit, purpose is the tree, and check this out prosperity is the orchard. This is why I always tell my black sheep family don't chase money, you gotta plant purpose because orchards always outproduce single trees. See if you were just chasing a money bag, that's one form, that's one tree. But think about if you're if you are pursuing purpose, now here's where it gets interesting and really cool, right? Because when you start to understand this principle, that your gifts were given to you on purpose. What does that mean for a specific reason? And here's here's another thing once you understand what your gifts are, and listen, everybody has gifts. This is what's so cool, and how we know we have a generous creator because everybody has different amounts of gifts and talents, right? But here's what's so cool: you don't even need multiple, don't believe me? Ask the founder of Red Bull that's one product, a billion-dollar company. Think about five-hour energy shot, right? One product, a billionaire. Think about Amazon. Amazon started with one product. What was that one product? Books. So you don't have to feel like, oh, again, oh, they got five talents, and they got you know six talents, even if you have one, that one will make room for you in so many ways, and you can even imagine. Think about that. See, not your connections, not your last name, not your popularity, your gift will make room for you. See, your gift is your invitation into rooms you've never even imagined. But here's the catch. You ready for the catch? A gift that isn't developed stays hidden. A gift that isn't practiced, it never matures. Think about the fruit on a tree. See, if you get it when it's still young and growing and having developed, it's bitter, it's sour. See, when you how do you know it's your talent or your gift? Because you're naturally decent at it, you're naturally good at it. But guess what? When you want to break through and create a whole different trajectory for your life and your family life, right? When you want to break generational curses, when we talk about creating legacies, you want to develop it. That's how you become the goat, that's how you become top-notch in your class, no matter what it is. You have to practice at it, you have to sharpen it. It's like your tool. And like I said, listen, a gift that is not practiced, it never matures. But check this out this is what's even more important a gift that isn't shared, it's not serving anybody, it's not helping anybody. That's why Les Brown always says, one of the most he said, the richest place that you can go is the cemetery. Because people die with gifts and talents and dreams that they could have done and been, and they never took the chance, they never pursued it, they never practiced. Okay, and like I said, a gift that isn't shared, it never serves anybody. So you must understand that the creator gave you the seed. Your gift, that's a seed, and it's your responsibility to cultivate the harvest. So you're the farmer, you gotta cultivate it, you're the soil, you gotta make sure everything is good for your seed. See, a lot of times we pray for opportunities, and I'm not gonna ever tell you not to pray for opportunities, right? Pray for the things that you need because I do. But don't pray for the opportunities while neglecting the very gift that is designed to create the opportunities for you. Okay, always make your purpose, your gifts and talents to sharpen those. Always make that your number one investment. We've already talked about how jobs come, jobs go. Career comes, career goes. And I promise you, I remember when I first uh I got well, this was my second celebrity client, and this is when I broke the ceiling of six figures. Okay, and when I tell you, I was so excited because, like many entrepreneurs, when you don't really know you know the path and you don't know different things, and even if you have everything, sometimes you still need to go on your journey because somebody could give you a complete roadmap on how to do something, but because your mindset isn't right and things in your life isn't together at that time, you can't even focus on that roadmap enough to level yourself up, right? And you then see that. So, so here I am at this company, right, working for these folks, and they had A-less celebrity clients. I loved it so much, right? And I broke that ceiling, but guess what happened? I was good, and this is what I want you to catch. I worked for them for three years, never missed a day. They were the type of rich that went to Saint-Tropre, France, right, for Labor Day, right? They were the type that went to the yacht parties, the Hamptons. That's what type of rich or wealth they were carrying. Okay, one of their clients was one of the is one of the top three singers in America, specifically RB. Okay. And listen, all of a sudden they started looking at the numbers, even though I was doing everything when I say perfecto, guess what? They decided to bring in somebody cheaper. Because I'm gonna be completely honest, I'm not the cheapest option around. But at the same time, when you want a certain level of dedication to what you're doing, that's not what cheap is gonna get you. Right? When you you get what you pay for, that is very true. You get what you pay for, and a lot of times, my family, I want you to understand while you're out in the world and on your journey doing different things, because I know everybody has different mindsets when it comes to wealth and just investing in themselves and different things. You must understand that depending on where you are in your journey, let's say, for instance, if you know for a fact, let's say you want to get a degree and you know for a fact that you need a tutor. Okay, now you can check out YouTube University for free 99 and you got a tutor, right? But then you might say, wait a minute, I want somebody from a university, or I want somebody that can look at my work and I can ask questions right away one-on-one. That's gonna cost you a little bit more. Why? Because you have access. So I I mean, I was on call for them, right? Stuff would just arrive from Europe. I was on call, but guess what? When it was time to cut back and scale back, I was one of the first people. Do you think they cared about the dedication that I spent helping them integrate systems into their business, setting up their logistics centers, um, coming up there to their their their building at 10:30 at night because a tractor trailer is bringing marble slabs, right? He finally found the location and you need somebody to let him in the building. Do you think they cared about any of that? No, they did not. And with that being said, this is why I want you to understand never ever neglect your gifts. I don't care what type of job you have. When you identify your natural gifts and talents, it could be speaking, writing, painting, cooking, whatever it is, don't ever neglect your gifts because you are you have a certain opportunity or a certain uh job or career. Okay, because your gifts will always make room for you. But check this out, though. This is where purpose can sometimes become uncomfortable, too, because purpose does not have time for pettiness. Purpose doesn't have time for pettiness. So now let me this is let me tell you about this. This changed my life. Because if you're serious about purpose, you cannot be petty. And and being petty, if you don't know what that means, being petty means is almost the root word of petite, small, making minor things major. You know how some people, every little thing, they gotta go tit for tat, they can't let nothing go, even though it's something minor. You know how you go places and people are ready to get upset about stupid things? That's pettiness, that's minor things that when you really on a bigger level of being a boss of your vision, of your purpose, building legacy, you're not petty because you're too big to pay attention to the small things, and it comes down to you understanding that your purpose is bigger than your ego, your pride, is bigger than your comfort zone. Why? Because purpose will introduce you to people who don't look like you, they don't think like you, they didn't grow up where you grew up at, they may vote differently than you. Some of you, they may come from a different culture, another country, they may have another background and another language. Why? Because purpose isn't interested in your comfort zone. See, purpose is interested in the impact you're gonna make. And if you're waiting for your assignment to only involve people that look like your neighborhood, you're gonna be waiting forever. See, purpose. Black sheep, purpose, a lot of times, when you're walking in purpose as a black sheep, you're re you're rejected from your own people. And this is why I always tell the black sheep, I've been telling you this for a long time now, that the reason why a lot of us was rejected so much by people that look like us from our neighborhood that we thought would have really helped us out and supported us, is because you have a bigger impact. You have a bigger impact, and you cannot impact and change what you remain in. You gotta be willing to do like the conductor of the band and turn his back to the crowd so he can he can curate the music, right? He can steer the band, he can orchestrate the music. So for you to have that huge impact, you gotta be willing to turn your back. Okay? Because your assignment, your purpose, and your assignment in life might be global. You don't know, right? It's all about the impact. So when you start talking about, when we start talking about the purpose is not petty, it means don't let small thinking keep you from a worldwide mission because you're looking in small places to make big impact. Okay, have you ever noticed as a black sheep that black sheep are usually rejected? I just we were just talking about it, right? By family, friends, people that were closest to them, their old environments. And like I was telling you, at first it feels like rejection. It does. We're not gonna sit here and sugarcoat it, it absolutely does. But looking back at it, black sheep, if you look back at it right now, you'll possibly see that you know what? It was the redirection. Some of you you didn't make it in the hoods. Why? Because you didn't belong there. Because sometimes the creator has to remove your dependence on a familiar place so you'll discover your true assignment. See that very rejection that you cried about, those people that just would not receive you for no matter what you did, that may have been the push that you needed to go ahead and turn up and tap into your purpose. And if that's true, then maybe what we're calling your greatest setback is actually your greatest setup. Now, let's talk about prosperity here because you hear that word thrown around a lot. People talk about prosperity gospel and all these different things. But first and foremost, let me make this clear to you prosperity is bigger than a paycheck. Okay, so when you hear people talking about oh, prosperity gospel, oh prosperity this you know why? Because they're trying to take cheap shots because they don't even understand that health is prosperity as well, having a great support system is prosperity. See, we've all been we've been conditioned to believe that prosperity means money and that's all, but money is just a part of prosperity, it's not the complete picture. Prosperity means waking up with peace because who wants money and don't have peace? That's not a prosperous life. Prosperity means knowing why you're here, being whole on the inside, you're doing work that matters. Prosperity means building a legacy that will outlive you, right? Prosperity can also be your children and your children's children. And guess what? When you tap into your purpose, they will benefit because you answered your calling, and that's what the definition of legacy is that's wealth, that's purpose, and that is the path that I want every black sheep listening to this podcast to walk. And I know some of you, you may or not may not have kids, but if you got nieces and nephews, but here's the other thing I want you to understand Napoleon Hill. We talk about his book Still Today, Think and Grow Rich, and he didn't have any kids, and we still, and that book is probably almost 100 years old, if not at least 80 years old. But guess what? It's the impact, it is the impact that he made. So I don't want you to feel despair if you don't have like, well, I don't have any kids, or I don't have any family, or I was adopted. Listen, it is about your life and how you can impact with everything you've been through, your gifts, your talents, all of those things. So, family, I want you to hear me on this. When you discover your purpose, you stop competing, and you don't care who competes. Why? Because purpose doesn't compete, it contributes. See, when you know why you were created, you don't have to hate on somebody else's success. And when people hate on you, you know they haven't discovered theirs, so you're not even offended, you just move different. You don't have to be jealous, you don't have to try to copy nobody else's stuff. Why? Because nobody can fulfill your assignment better than you. So even when they think they swipe a job or an opportunity from you, right? It just wasn't meant for you. Because first and foremost, you are called to become the best version of yourself, and when you really tap into that, because as a black sheep, we spend so much of our time um pouring into everybody else because we see the potential in everybody else, right? But when you understand you have to secure your own air first, take that from the airplane when you're flying your safety class. The first thing they tell you is to secure your own air, secure your own bag, make sure you're good first, be the best version of yourself first, because that is a power that nobody can tap into, like they can't take that from you, right? And it's liberating because you're not chasing anybody, you're not chasing applause, you don't care about the validation, you simply want to live out your life purpose and make impact. Okay, here's one of another thing that I love about when you're in your purpose, purpose gives you permission to think bigger, okay. You know, as black sheep, again, we are some of the most creative people on the planet, but you must understand a lot of times because of our environments, we find ourselves shrinking ourselves down to fit in or be around people that we don't want to seem like we're doing too much. But check this out when you tap into your purpose, those ideas they're gonna just roll in. You're gonna be like, Oh my goodness, it's gonna be so much, right? It's not gonna be overwhelming, it's gonna be just like it's gonna energize you. You're gonna be like, Oh my gosh, I gotta get all of this out of me. But here's the thing again, when you're in your purpose, it exposes people who are not in theirs. And when you see people that cannot fathom how big you're thinking, because, see, when you're around people that's in their own purpose and you start having these different ideas, and you want to they get it, they get it because they understand that purpose stretches your imagination. So you might start thinking you're building something for your family, then one day you realize you're Work is helping thousands helping thousands of people. You might think, like, man, you know what? I'm just gonna plant this one seed, but the creator sees it as an orchard. You might think you're writing one book like Napoleon Hill, he'd be impossible about that main book. But guess what? The creator sees generations being inspired. You might think it's just one recording, one podcast. The creator sees a movement. This is why you never underestimate small beginnings. Every masterpiece started with one brushstroke, every skyscraper started with one blueprint, every forest started with one seed, every legacy started with one person who believed enough to begin. One of the reasons I'm so passionate about black sheep leadership is because I know what it feels like to be different, overlooked, misunderstood, right? You feel like you don't fit in, and you know you just want to do something bigger and better than where you're at. But see, I've also learned that those very experiences they prepare you for your purpose. That's why this community is not built around race, it's not built around politics. We talk about all types of stuff, but it's not built on race. You know how you got people they got their different groups and all these different things, it's not built, that's too small. See, think about how people continue to talk about race race this, race that, race this, race that. Oh, this people doing that, oh, that those people are doing that. That's small thinking. You know why that's small thinking? Because we all have a checkout date, so there's no need of arguing about who's doing what. You can go anywhere on the planet and see people doing some stuff they have no business doing. So when you're talking about stuff like race, that's too small. Politics is too small. We only learn from these things, it's not built on status, it's built around assignment, it's built around purpose and impact. And if you're committed to becoming the person the creator designed you to be, and you can feel it. This is nothing that you can face, just like being a black sheep. Nobody wants to be a black sheep. You were called to it. Nobody comes out, nobody grows up, and even if you say it started in high school, nobody goes to high school and says, Oh, yeah, I want to be a black sheep. No, it's an assignment because there's something bigger for you to do. But if you're committed to becoming the person the creator designed you to be and the best version of yourself, there's a seat at this table. Because purpose has no color, no zip code, there is no neighborhood. We global, there is no limits. Limit where we're doing it bigger than Master P. It's no limits. Purpose only asks one question. Will you answer the call? Will you will you answer the call when purpose calls? Now let's talk about these three action moves that you can take immediately. Okay. Number one, identify your natural gifts. Listen, the first thing you always need to do is a black sheet. Listen, I'm telling you, I don't if you don't do anything else, always know what you bring to the table. Any kind of table, work table, at home table, it don't matter. Some of you might say, Well, I am the table, fine. What kind of table are you? Are you stable? Are you a stainless steel table? Know what identify your natural gifts, and you can ask yourself these three questions. Number one, what naturally comes to me? Like some people ain't just naturally good at certain things. Some I remember we used to be in um algebra trigonometry, I think it was it. Was it pre-calculus? Well, one of those classes, but I always used to observe the students. Soon as the teacher put that equation on the board, they knew the answer. I'm talking about as soon as they put it up there, you're like, wow. Because they were naturally good at that. Some people are so good at doing hair, they're good at painting cars, fixing cars. Let me tell you something. I was always amazed by people that could fix cars, and a lot of them couldn't read. They were naturally gifted with mechanical, technical things. Okay. The second question is what do people consistently ask you for help with? A lot of times, people will always ask you to help them with something in particular. For me, people always ask me for career advice, advice on how to do different things, how to level up, you know, what do I believe the best decision they should make? People have always asked for it, specifically like career and business and just overall, like getting a good perspective. That's always been my thing. Okay, now what do people ask you about consistently? Okay, and finally, what could you spend hours doing without getting bored? This is one of my favorite ones. That thing that you can do over and over and over again and never get tired, never get bored, you're not even tripping if you're paying or getting paid. That's that thing. Those answers are clues, don't ignore them. They may be pointing you toward your assignment. Number two, write your purpose statement. Finish this sentence. I believe I was created to blank. Don't worry about getting it perfect, just write. Purpose becomes clear through movement, not overthinking it, my black sheep family. You know, we love to overthink things and try to figure it all out. Listen, this is not like that. Don't worry about getting it perfect. Just write it out. I believe I was created to me. So, for example, for myself to give you an example, I believe I was created to help black sheep discover their destiny, discover their purpose, so that they can go in the world and have huge impact with their life story. Okay, so that's my purpose. All right. So for you, don't overthink it. Don't overthink it. Number three, serve one person this week. And here's what's so cool purpose grows through service. But look, because it's a seed, it don't have to be like you have a huge audience. So you gotta know that I love the black sheep family because this is not a Joe Rogan podcast yet, but we consistently show up every single week to drop these messages. Why? Because it grows through service. Nobody asks me to show up. This is my life purpose. That's whether we have one download, one listener, or a million listeners. This is my life work, this is my purpose, and I know that somebody's gonna get it, it's gonna help someone, okay? And you have to treat your purpose the same way. Your purpose grows through service. Help someone, teach someone, encourage someone. Some of you guys, you got so much encouragement, power because of the stuff you've been through. You could just tell somebody a sliver of your story and they'll tighten up like they was a Navy SEAL. You just tell them a sliver, you and they'll be like, oh man, they'll be embarrassed to talk about what they went through or what they were upset about. But that is another level of encouragement. And guess what? You can't get that at Harvard, you can't pay for that, you can't copy that because it's authenticity, and you can't copy that. This is why when you get in your purpose, man, you're not studying about none of these uh Decepticons trying to compete and compare and act like you know they've been doing, but no, you can't do what I'm doing because this is rare. I'm one of a kind. So encourage someone, solve a problem for someone and listen, don't wait until you're famous. It ain't even about being famous, it's about being impactful. We don't wait until you get rich. This is what I love about the digital age. I know it's a lot of bad things that go along with the digital age, but with the digital age, my family, you can start serving right now. Let's say, for instance, if you um said you wanted to help single mothers um or single fathers learn how to cook good meals or go grocery shopping, right? You can start off with a blog for free. You can start off cooking at home on YouTube, you could create an e-book right now on Canva for free and just start posting it up online, just start giving it away, right? Start serving now. You don't have to wait until you're rich. Remember, at first, it was so many gatekeepers and do everything. I remember I was listening to a New York Times bestseller talk about um his books in the beginning, okay. Um, and he said, at first, and I believe this was in the early 2000s on back, he said you had to come with almost $50,000 or have a certain amount of sales before big publishers would even take you serious. You had to come with a bag already before they would even take you serious. Guess what? The digital age has cut out the middleman. I don't have to come with nothing except my idea and my finished product. And guess what else? It don't even have to be perfect. I can just put it out there. That's what I love, and this is why I'm telling you to start serving now because impact always comes before influence. And let me tell you something, black sheep, don't worry about influence and all those things, just worry about continuing to be the best version of yourself. And I don't even want to say worry about it, just make it your priority to be the best version of yourself. One thing about it, and two things for sure. I'm never telling you anything that I'm not practicing because this is the time for the black sheep and the will transfer. But you have to make sure, just like in a game of life or chess or checkers, you have to position yourself to win. That's why you need to become the best version of yourself. So even if you say, you know what, I want to become a millionaire for my children, children, children, children, you have to become the person that can obtain a million and not just obtain it because you can obtain it by winning the lottery. But guess what? Your preparation is going to help you keep the million dollars and multiply it. And if you don't believe me, research any lottery winner that has not been prepared for that. They lose it within five to ten years, and they're back having a regular life. Okay, so become that best that that the best version of yourself, and people will start to see these things, and impact always you're gonna start impacting people, and then before you know it, you'll be a real influencer. We're not talking about these fake influencers that be fake and stuff, acting like everything is a uh uh a snippet of the good old days. Real influencers can tell you what it was like in hell and pain and how they got up out of there. That's why I'm so convicted in what I'm talking to you about today. Right? I can show you the receipts when we start talking about six figures. We don't ever talk about those things. You know why, family? Because it's about you becoming the person to get up to that point. Because you can do like I did when you get your first when whatever your goals are. Let's say, for instance, if you want to touch six figures first, right? You can do like I did. I went out here almost like MC Hammer and just started getting all my family and friends stuff. Come to find out, some of these folks didn't like me, they didn't even value what I was doing. I'm out here supporting other people's missions, they think I'm trying to clout chase and ride their wave, and my gifts already have started providing for me, right? And so, but here's a cool thing about it though, black sheep. Even when you do things like that, when you are becoming the best version of yourself and you're doing it out of love and great intention, your gifts continue to make new and better opportunities for you, and you can go back out there, right, and do it better the next time around. Okay, now listen, I got a um, we have a great resource for you as well. Um, you got your three action steps. Because clarity is really the first step towards reinventing your life and moving towards a place of purpose. Okay, now, Black Sheep, as we start to wrap up this episode, if there's one thing I want you to remember, is this you're not here by accident or some random deal. I need you to understand and know from the bottom of your heart you were born with something that this world needs. The question isn't whether you have purpose, the question is whether you will have the courage to pursue it. Because purpose isn't always easy, it will stretch you, humble you, it will introduce you to rooms you've never imagined and never expected. It will also ask you to become someone you've never been. But here's the beautiful part when you build your life around purpose, prosperity becomes a byproduct, not just financial prosperity, but peace, joy, influence, meaning, legacy. So it's no need to just chase money or status. We don't even have to chase validation, chase your assignment because when you're walking in purpose, you're walking in something nobody can take away from you. Remember, your gifts were never given to you to make a living, they were given to you to make a difference.
