My Little Children. An Introduction to 1st John.

Pastor Dustin Clegg "introduces" us to 1st John and outlines 4 purposes of 1st John:

1) That our joy may be complete (1 John 1:4);

2) So that we sin less, and learn to repent when we do (1 John 2:1);

3) To refute false doctrine (1 John 2:26); and

4) So that we may have assurance of faith (1 John 5:13).

Dustin also shares 2 observations from the text:

1) Redemption, not perfection, was the plan from the beginning.

2) John saw complete joy as a necessary fruit of those following Jesus.
