Cooper was a standout pitcher at Mount St. Mary's University in Maryland but didn't manage to find a major league team through the well-documented draft route.
Instead he went to the famous pitching lab - 'Tread Athletics' - and through their pro day programme - managed to find himself a place within the Boston Red Sox organisation!
Cooper began his professional career at Greenville Drive (High-A) before finishing the season strongly at Cal's favourite team - the Portland Sea Dogs (Double-A)!
Heading into 2026, Cooper finds himself in Florida in the big league camp waiting to find out where he's going to start his second year in professional ball!
So join us for an in-depth interview with Cooper as we discuss his career so far and his less traditional route to baseball!
