She is certified in special education with post-graduate coursework and professional development in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Social Thinking, and Collaborative & Proactive Solutions and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT). Judith created Just Education, LLC to compile a free resource library for mentors of students who struggle on a wide variety of topics that are all related to education and student success.
About Joan M. Brennan
Joan M. Brennan is the parent of 4 sons, educator, business owner and twice-patented inventor of customizable tools for readers of all ages. Her physical Reading Focus Cardsand digital Reading Focus Cards app for Macs and Windows PC’s provide focusing support for readers of all ages and abilities. Mrs. Brennan’s innovative reading aids can be especially helpful to the many with ADHD, dyslexia, autism and other issues that often impact reading success. Since 2007, her Reading Focus Cards tools, manufactured in St. Louis, have helped thousands of readers both in the U.S. and around the globe.
Mrs. Brennan has taught students in grades 6-8 for more than 18 years. She is also the founder and CEO of Brennan Innovators, LLC, manufacturer and provider of the Reading Focus Cards tools for students of all ages, parents, teachers, and other adults. Her company, founded in 2007, also provides online learning opportunities for schools and other organizations. These opportunities include workshops, consultation and other professional educational services for those interested in addressing the needs of all types of readers and learners.
Since 2006, she has been an instructor in the College for Kids Program for gifted and talented K-8 students at the St. Louis Community College. Since 2019, Mrs. Brennan is also a Continuing Education instructor at the college as well as at St. Charles Community College (inventor and entrepreneurship classes).
