June is here, summer is in full swing, and STL is packed with things to do this weekend. ☀️🎶⚾🏳️‍🌈

From professional pickleball and Cardinals baseball to IndyCar racing, concerts, art fairs, Pride celebrations, live theater, and wine festivals, this might be one of the busiest weekends of the season around St. Louis.

Hey everyone, welcome back to This Week in St. Louis. I'm Bryce, and if you're looking for something fun to do around St. Louis this weekend, you're in the right place. June is officially here, and it feels like summer has finally arrived. The calendar is packed this weekend with everything from sports and concerts to festivals, pride celebrations, and outdoor events. Whether you're looking for a family outing, a date night, or just an excuse to get out of the house, there's plenty happening around town. Let's get into it. Major League Pickleball is taking over Shea Fitz Arena throughout the weekend, bringing some of the top professional pickleball players in the country to town. Whether you're already obsessed with the sport or just curious what all the hype is about, this is a great chance to see it at the highest level. The Cardinals are back at Bush Stadium this weekend, taking on the Cincinnati Reds. Friday features Pride Night at the ballpark. Saturday includes a Jim Edmonds bobblehead giveaway, and Sunday is packed with family-friendly activities for Kids Sunday. Over at Worldwide Technology Raceway, the Bomarito Automotive Group 500 returns for a full weekend of indie car action. It's one of the biggest racing weekends of the year in the region and always draws a great crowd. Soccer fans can head downtown Saturday as Panama takes on Bosnia and Herzegovina at Energizer Park, with St. Louis being home to one of the largest Bosnian communities outside of Europe. This should be a really special atmosphere. And on Sunday, the Battlehawks are back at the dome looking to keep the momentum rolling in front of one of the best fan bases in football. Now, if you'd rather spend your weekend outside, there are plenty of festivals and community events happening around the area. Lafayette Square Art Fair returns Saturday and Sunday with local artists, antiques, live entertainment, and a chance to explore one of the city's most beautiful neighborhoods. Saturday evening, you can stick around for the kickoff of the Lafayette Square Summer Concert Series in the park. In Kirkwood, the Route 66 Cars and Guitars Festival celebrates the upcoming Route 66 Centennial with classic cars, live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities throughout downtown. Speaking of Route 66, Ted Drews is kicking off their centennial celebration with special Route 66 themed treats, including their $2.66 microconcretes. If you're up for a short drive, Augusta is hosting its annual wine and jazz festival. Between the wineries, live music, and scenic views, it's a great excuse to spend a day in Missouri wine country. And if wine is your thing, but you don't want to leave town, the Clayton Music and Wine Festival is happening Saturday evening with live music, food vendors, and plenty of wine available for purchase. Speaking of music, there are some big performances happening this weekend. Country Star Hardy brings his country country tour to the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater Friday night for one of the largest concert events of the weekend. Over at Powell Hall, Ben Rector joins the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra for a unique performance, combining his music with orchestral arrangements. Then Sunday night, the symphony celebrates country music with country hits, songs from Nashville. If live theater or performances are more your speed, you've got plenty of options there too. Blue Man Group takes over the fabulous Fox Theater all weekend long with its signature blend of music, comedy, and audience interaction. Circus Flora officially opens its 40th anniversary season this weekend under the Big Top and Grand Center. It's a St. Louis summer tradition and always a fun option for families. And over in Forest Park, Shakespeare and the park continues performances of The Tempest. You've never experienced Shakespeare under the stars in Forest Park. It's one of those classic St. Louis summer experiences worth checking out. Art lovers may also want to stop by the St. Louis Art Museum for the Antiquities Updated, a unique event that combines chamber music with artwork from the museum's current exhibition. Since June is Pride Month, there are also a few events happening this weekend that are worth highlighting. Pride Shabbat takes place Thursday evening at the Jewish Community Center, bringing together members of the LGBTQIA Plus community, allies, and families for a celebration featuring music, activities, and community connection. On Saturday, City Winery hosts Sip and Serve, Drag Brunch, Pride Appalooza, featuring performances, brunch, and plenty of Pride Month energy. And don't forget that Friday's Cardinals game also includes Pride Night at Bush Stadium, making it another great opportunity to celebrate while supporting the home team. Before we get to our final segments, here are a few unique events happening around town. Comedy fans can head to the pageant for a comedy Bang Bang, the live version of the popular improv comedy podcast. Helium Comedy Club is hosting Almost Perfect, featuring America's Got Talent finalists Samuel J. Comro and Ryan Neemiller. And if you're looking for something a little different Sunday night, City Winery is hosting Shrek Trivia. So if you still know everywhere to All Star by Heart, this might be the event for you. Now it's time for our Flavors at the Lou, and this week we're talking Indian food. First up, Taj Palace is in Chesterfield serving up classic Indian dishes packed with flavor. Next is Gold Bowl, with locations in Delmore Loop and Maplewood, known for its customizable bowls and Indian-inspired favorites. And finally, Namaste Curry Lounge in St. Louis Hills, offering a menu full of rich curries, specialties, and traditional Indian cuisine.
