Hate Stikes Out

In this episode, we uncover the incredible true story of the Wichita Monrovians, an all- Black semi-pro baseball team, who played a 1925 exhibition game against a team representing the Ku Klux Klan.  We explore the social tensions of the era, the courage it took to step onto that field, and how this little-known game became a powerful act of defiance and resilience in the face of hate.
