Embracing your authentic self is a journey worth celebrating at every stage, not just when you reach some imagined "perfect" endpoint. This path of becoming your true self is about making decisions in the present moment rather than waiting for permission or perfect circumstances.

• The power of starting your reinvention immediately, not waiting for ideal conditions
• Recognising the subtle shifts that signal authentic growth—saying no without explanation, yes without guilt
• Understanding that becoming your authentic self isn't about transforming into someone new, but returning to who you always were
• Giving yourself permission rather than waiting for external validation
• Celebrating progress along the journey, not just at the destination
• Finding beauty in the everyday moments of authenticity that aren't always Instagram-worthy
• Recognising that feeling comfortable in your own presence is a form of power

Take a moment today to place your hand on your heart and say: "I like who I'm becoming." Share this episode with someone who's in their own process of becoming.

Speaker 1:

Everyone. It's Victoria here. Welcome back to another episode of A Woman's Power, unfiltered. And before we dive in to this week's episode, I just want to say thank you, because you know what. It's been five or six weeks now since this podcast launched and, honestly, I really did wonder how it was going to go down. It's a little risque, it's a little raw, but we have had the most amazing feedback. So I just want to say thank you. We are in I think it's like 10 different countries now and I just love reading your messages, your DMs, your emails. So keep them coming because I'm loving them and you can email the email address is on the show notes and you can also follow me on socials and the link is in the show notes as well. So let's dive straight in.

Speaker 1:

There's this moment, quiet but solid. You realise, I like who I'm becoming, what a feeling. Not because everything's perfect, nothing's perfect. I don't believe it is. Anyway we have, I think we have our own idea of perfect, but it's not on the whole perfect, if that makes sense. Not because life's suddenly easy because, let's be honest, it's not. It really isn't, life is not a straight line but because you finally feel like you're showing up as you unfiltered, clear, grounded and real and honestly. Becoming her feels absolutely fantastic. It feels so damn good.

Speaker 1:

This episode is a celebration of that feeling, the one that sneaks in when you stop waiting to be ready and just start living as the woman that you are, you were always meant to be, and that actually, maybe you're becoming as well. You know reinvention I love that word. A lot of people wait to reinvent themselves. What they actually don't realize is that you want to reinvent yourself. You can do it now. You can do it in this actual second, because when you say things like oh, yeah, when I'm oh, I don't know when I'm slimmer, when I'm healthier, when I've done this, when I've done that, when things start to calm down, no, it's a load of it's a load of rubbish. You want to start being the person that you want to be. You do it now, in this, this actual second, and it's very possible. The shift always love a shift. There's a shift that happens not all at once, but slowly. Then suddenly you start saying no without explaining. You start saying yes without guilt. You stop chasing people who never really saw you.

Speaker 1:

You know you can't be liked by everyone. I used to think that you could. But I mean, don't get me wrong, that was a long time ago, but you can't. You know, not everyone likes you. You can be the nicest person in the world and even that's not a good thing. You speak not to impress, but because you've got something worth saying. It's not a performance, it's not reinvention all of the time sometimes it is, but not all of the time it's a return.

Speaker 1:

And also, I think, if you choose to reinvent yourself, a lot of people think that you have to kind of like, burn everything else away in your life, and you don't. You're building on the foundations that you already have. You know that amazing experience that you have behind you and you're not becoming someone else. You're becoming her, the version of you, who was always there. Under that, you know, under the doubt, under the pressure, under the noise there under that. You know under the doubt, under the pressure, under the noise. And here's what I've learned about becoming her me, the real, full, whole me, whole you. You don't have to wait for permission, and you will hear me say this a lot on this podcast don't wait for someone to give you permission to do something because, believe me, it's not coming. You give yourself permission. You don't need a green light from the world.

Speaker 1:

Becoming her, becoming you, is a decision, not a reward you earn once you've ticked every box. It doesn't work like that. You don't need to be finished to feel powerful. You're allowed to celebrate mid process. So someone says celebrate every, every aspect, each goal that you achieve. Celebrate. And it's so true. You're allowed to enjoy the view even even if you're still climbing. You know, I mean these people who climb mountains. They don't just climb to the top and then celebrate. They celebrate each bit that they climb. I mean, I've never climbed a mountain. I'm not really, I'm not really planning to the nearest I get to. Climbing a mountain is that song you know. Climb every mountain. You know the one I mean. Now what becoming her? You looks like.

Speaker 1:

Becoming her might not look how you imagined. It's not always glamorous or loud or instagram worthy. Sometimes it looks like waking up and not hating your own voice, having hard conversations, then walking away, feeling so proud, sitting in your home and feeling safe in your own presence. There's a lot to be said for that. And moving through the world without shrinking for certain people. Sometimes it can be a little messy, but it's yours and it's honest and that that is the most beautiful kind of power.

Speaker 1:

So if you're listening to this and you're somewhere in that becoming stage, let me tell you you're not behind, you're, you're not unfinished, you're becoming, and that's a whole mood of its own. Celebrate it, even if you're tired, even if no one sees the work that you put in to being the best that you can be, even if you haven't shouted it from the rooftops yet, just sit with this truth. You're growing into someone who feels like home, who feels comfortable, who feels confident, and that is something worth holding tight, as tight as you can. So here's what I want you to do today if you fancy it, take a moment, put your hand on your heart or your hip or wherever you, wherever you damn well want, and say I like who I'm becoming. Say it twice if you need to, but say it like you mean it I like who I'm becoming.

Speaker 1:

And if this episode landed, share it, send it to someone who's mid-becoming too, and keep showing up, not as the world world expects you, not as your family expects you, not as your friends expect you, but as the woman you were always meant to be, the woman that you are. She's already here. You're already here and it feels so good. I'll speak to you all next week. Have a fantastic week.
