A Woman's Power "Unfiltered" With Victoria E Strange
A Woman’s Power Unfiltered is not polite. It’s not quiet. And it sure as hell isn’t here to make you comfortable.
This is where power gets personal. Where voice, body, sex, and truth stop being secrets and start being fuel.
Hosted by Victoria E Strange, this podcast is bold, intimate, and magnetic as hell. It’s the sound of a woman who’s reclaimed every inch of herself and is now teaching you to do the same.
If you’re ready to walk like you own the street, speak like you own the room, and fuck off every rule that ever told you to shrink, press play.
Because once you turn yourself on… there’s no turning back.
New episodes every Monday.

Hello everyone, it's Victoria here, and welcome back to a brand new season of A Woman's Power Unfiltered and also a brand new year. Happy New Year! Happy 2026. It is the 5th of January today, and it is the first day of the first full week of the new year. Do you know I timed that pretty good, didn't I? I actually timed this up really, really good. So today we are going to be talking about getting stuck. Now you can get stuck at any age because maybe you're waiting to feel ready before you start something new, or you apply for that job, or you go to the gym, or it could be anything, but the thing that makes you feel ready is starting. I hate doing it, and what makes it worse is it's absolutely freezing outside. So the episode, a bit of a weird analogy, but you know, it makes sense. So the episode uh that we're gonna be doing today is uh or you're gonna be listening to today is a straight talking look at how fear hides when you're trying to move forward, and it's such a pain in the ass. And how to get yourself moving again without needing a massive big life overhaul. I felt that I needed this morning to go and get the car cleaned, which I am gonna do after this. And the thing is, fear doesn't always look like panic, it really doesn't. It often looks like I'm just doing more research first, or I just need to get a bit clearer before I post something, apply for something. Um, maybe you're starting a business, launching something, it could be anything, or it also comes across as I'll start when I've lost weight, or feel confident, or a little bit, you know, less messy, or I'm more organized, and then follows, you know, I don't want to look silly, or I don't want to do this, or I don't want to do that, so I'll wait. And the truth is that waiting actually does it becomes a trap. So obviously, in January, a lot of people go to the gym, don't they? But I think people find it a lot more easier to go to the gym in January than maybe if you started in I don't know, maybe June, July, March, even. And then all of a sudden it becomes well, I'm not quite ready to start now, but I'll start then. But January is a different thing, isn't it? It's like, nope, I'm starting and that's it, and maybe that is just because it is the beginning of the year, so you know, it is that much more easier that your mindset's different, and a lot of waiting and deciding that you will do it when is to do with mindset, and why you know why starting feels harder when you know more because you can see the risks, the judgment, and the consequences. And the three ways that fear disguises itself is overpreparing. That's oh god, if you over-prepare something, sometimes you can actually talk yourself out of it because you're overthinking, and it's like you're editing yourself. Who's edited themselves so much because they want to be a certain way or they want to look a certain way, and that doesn't really build a lot of momentum, does it? But what actually does build confidence is not the motivation so much, but the evidence doing the thing, maybe in small repeatable steps, is like motivation, and I talk about this um on my other podcast, Business Built with Strategy. Motivation can get you to a certain point, but it's doing the thing that is what that's what shows you the evidence that you can do what you are trying to do. Motivation it doesn't do it, because the thing is motivation dips, doesn't it? You can be in a really good mood, you feel really motivated, but then the next day you can feel you know maybe a little flat. So motivation will get you to a certain point, but it has a lot of dependence, but evidence by doing the thing that's the game changer. So, what I want you to do this week is a really short ep this week because we're just gonna ease ourselves in gently, is pick one small action this week that proves I trust myself to follow through. Just one thing, it could be anything. I mean, it it really could be. Mine is going swimming. Um, I joined the gym quite a while ago, and with the year that I had last year, I just I I mean literally it was time for me, but I knew that I needed to move more because, as a lot of you know, I'm on a weight loss journey, bit cliche, isn't it? Weight loss journey. But the thing is, it is a bloody journey, and you know, I I really do feel like it is a bloody journey. Um, but I suppose when I first started to try and lose weight, it was more about vanity, but now it's about health and being able to move more, and just the you know, the reasons have definitely changed. And I think that how you show up as overthinking and waiting, and how you you move again without needing to feel ready first is the game changer. So I'm my my my one for next week is I'm gonna start swimming on Wednesday, and then every week I want to do Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and I know that I can do this, and once I'm in the pool, I'll be absolutely fine. But have I got a little bit of a fear of getting in my costume and getting in that pool? 100%, but I know that I can do it, and I know that you can do whatever you want to do as well. You just have to get out of your own way. So, in the show notes, I'm gonna put uh a few links where you can contact me if you want, you can follow over our Instagram. Um, let us know how you're getting on because this this is what it's all about supporting each other. Okay, so have a really, really good week. Remember, it's the first day of the first full week of 2026, and I am a massive believer that to a certain point you can write your story for this year, you know, maybe not completely because some things that we you know are beyond our control, but we can certainly do it to a certain extent. So have a great week, and I will be back with another longer ep next week. Take care, everyone.
