I Hear You, Babe
I Hear You, Babe is your weekly voice note from someone who overshares for a living.
Hosted by Dino Malvone—founder of SaltDrop, full-time feeler, part-time hater—this pod is where we unpack the mess, the magic, the spirals, and the stuff you should probably still be talking about in therapy.
Some episodes will make you laugh so hard you snort. Others might have you crying in your car outside a CVS. Either way: you’re not alone. I hear you. I got you.
Let’s get into it.

23. I Put Them on a Pedestal and They Did Not Deserve It

This week we are talking about pedestals. Not the Greek kind. The emotional kind.
The “I met you three times and decided you are flawless and spiritually elevated” kind. The kind we build out of vibes, fantasy, loneliness and pure delulu energy.
I get into some of what has been happening in my own world with pedestaling inside friendships and what it does to you when people turn you into a symbol instead of a person. We talk about why pedestals are not love, they are projection, and why I would rather be known than worshipped.
And then we let the comedy special begin.
You sent me your best fall from grace stories. The exact moment the pedestal cracked and the ick moved into your body like a permanent resident. We cover baby talk at the dinner table, dusty moon water, empath frauds, angel number boys, giddy up taxi commands, sideways string cheese, and so much more chaos.
It is unhinged in the best way and honestly a tiny bit healing too.
