Where R the Adults
We grew up in Reardan, Washington. Tiny town. Middle of nowhere. Population: us... and some cows.
Met in high school. Got into some trouble. The kind of trouble that makes a small-town cop sigh real loud before even asking questions.
Now? Somehow, we’re the adults. Like... mortgages, kids, taxes...
And I keep looking around — at the news, at social media, at PTA meetings — and asking the same damn thing: Where R the Adults

This week, we are the adults. Nate and Paul pull back the curtain on life as single dads, swapping stories, survival tips, and the kind of unfiltered honesty you only get from guys who've had to Google "how to do a braid" at 7am on a school day. Paul brings the divorced dad perspective; Nate brings the widower's lens. Two different roads, same destination: figuring it all out one day at a time.
Presented with Minimal Edits!
What We Get Into:
- How each of them landed in the single dad life — and how those paths feel different (and surprisingly similar)
- The moments that hit harder than expected, and the ones that turned out weirdly okay
- Parenting wins, parenting failures, and the blurry line between the two
- What nobody tells you before you're doing it alone
- Finding humor in the chaos — because what's the alternative?
