Hey everyone, my name is Ryan Ware. I am the host of Activating Curiosity. Since this is episode zero, I want to give a little bit of information on who I am and why I started the podcast, as well as the goal of the podcast, so that each of you as listeners will be more informed and being ready to activate your curiosity. My background uh began in architecture, leaving architecture profession in 2013 to focus on construction and manufacture. I then left to found my company Connective Consulting Group and Connective Coaching, where I am an executive coach as well as a change management consultant and a coach and a keynote speaker for the construction industry focused on change. Enough about me. Let's focus on all of you and the reason for the podcast. So to do that, I have a question. What is the most important problem you are trying to solve? But more importantly, why? You see, this is going to be the question that we explore during each episode of Activating Curiosity. This is a new podcast aimed at construction leaders who want to build a stronger relationship with change for themselves as well as those in the construction industry. So in each episode, I'm going to sit down with individuals that are taking on some of the largest problems within the construction industry. They're going to be forward-thinking innovators and creators, problem solvers and change makers. We are going to discuss a wide range of solutions, technologies, methods of construction, and delivery models. This is going to be aimed to help each of you as listeners to better prepare to address the challenges that the construction industry faces while also addressing the resistance and slow adoption of many of these solutions. We're going to go beyond the solutions themselves and we're going to focus on our mindsets around change. You see, this isn't about finding quick fixes. It's not about easy buttons or silver bullets. We're going to have to dig into why these problems are worth solving and the cost of not solving them. Because the purpose of the conversation is to provide each of you as listeners with more confidence while activating enough curiosity that you will become a willing participant in the meaningful changes that need to happen for the construction industry, as well as being capable and having more confidence to go lead those changes within your teams, your companies, and the industry as a whole. So if you're ready to activate your curiosity and you want to explore new possibilities, then this is the podcast for you. New episodes will start this September. So subscribe now to Activating Curiosity and let's get to building through Curiosity.
