Dreams are something we all have mixed and varied opinions about. Some seek interpretation through conversation with elders, others brush them off as insignificant moments of subconscious fiction, yet spiritually we see many examples of how God used dreams to instruct, warn, commune and even reveal himself to us. The book of Joel 2:28 tells us that his spirit will be poured out, and gifts given will be visions and dreams. We saw in Genesis 28 Jacob’s ladder and his interaction with God. So in this Biblestudies we aim to answer some of your unanswered questions and provide clarity where it may be needed.

God bless you, and it's great to be back with you one more time. I am Bishop Linwall Williams, and I'm here at this Rima Bible study, where I want to share with you part two of the dream series that we have been doing. And it's quite clear that those that were able to see the first one were very excited about it. And I thought, hmm, I think part two is definitely necessary. So here I am. Okay, we're just going to go into again understanding what dreams are all about. Every person has dreams at different different times. In fact, even the animals have dreams. I mean, I when I was back in the Caribbean, um, Jamaica, I used to have dogs and I used to see them sleeping. And literally you could tell they were dreaming. The fidgeting, the different movements, sounds, etc. Sound like people that I know who sleeps, and in their dreams you can hear the different activities that is going on. Okay, now in like manner, every person has dreams. Some people's dreams are very fluid, it just comes, it goes, it doesn't leave much impact, and others are very, very impactful. And so we're going to be talking a little bit about that and why some dreams the best way I can describe it is like having an earthquake and then having a tsunami following it. So you'll have a dream and and it's become so traumatic that it leaves brainwaves of pain, and people would wake up and talk about it, and you'll hear them say, I wake up with this terrible um migraine. Really, what that is, is a deep subconscious trauma. That's what is happening. So deep in the subconscious, um, something, as I said, in in the dream, something happened that is so traumatic that it really creates um this painful situation that so many people wake up with. And what is so interesting about that is because it is deep in your subconscious, many people can't remember it because it's not in their consciousness. And so it makes the pain perhaps even worse because you cannot neutralize what is happening if you can't remember that what you were dreaming about. And we have had instant incidents where people wake up with this terrible uh pain, and they call it migraine at best. And um I would say to them, look, what was it that you dreamt about last night? And at first many cannot remember what they dreamt, and then I uh after a while, either praying with them, discussing it with them, it would then come back to them. And the moment they are able to understand the dream, then of course they begin to feel better about it and begin to able to deal with it. Now, the Bible tells us about the dreams. And before I get into what the Bible says about it, I just want people to understand that there are different opinions on dreams. You've got um opinions from the um psychologists, what's their opinion of what they think dreams are. You've got opinion from the neurologists that they think what is going on in your brain, why it is. You've got opinion from different cultural background giving their opinion as to what they think the ancestors are doing in people's dreams. And then, of course, you have those from the spiritual background who has uh a deep understanding of the spiritual significance of dreams. And so while one cannot refute that the scientists or the psychologists or you know, ancestral uh views uh hasn't got a place, they do have a place in people's lives, and people swear by it, I'm sure. However, the the difference is that their explanation oftentimes conflicts with the word of God. And in my case, I go with the word of God as the first priority. The spiritual aspect of dreams is superior to all other opinions of dreams. So, in other words, the the psychologist would find reasons within the realms of your mental state and your mind. The neurologists would find it within your brain operation and functionality, and of course the ancestors go back with their historical views on it, and naturally you have um, as I said, it's cultural, and you have the spiritual. Now, within the spiritual realm, it is very important that everyone understand that dreams are not subject to people's opinion. It is something that everyone is born with. Everyone has dreams. So long before the scientists, the psychologists, the and the um those who are taken up with cultural belief, etc., was able to put their own opinion to dreams, dreams were already happening. So that is, of course, absolutely significant. And it is that why we believe and know that it is far more spiritual than any of the other limitations that is placed on um dreams. Now, so in the book of Joel, chapter 2 and verse 28, and I'm just going to read a bit of it so that you have an understanding of where biblically we know and understand the operation that is happening where dreams are concerned. And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out of my spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions, and upon uh upon the servant and upon the unmade. In those days I will pour out of my spirit. And you see, this was God who sent this prophecy as to what he was going to do. Now, this prophecy was in fact um given 500 years before the Holy Spirit was poured out upon people. But it is not limited to the to whether dreams happen or not, because long before this prophecy was given, um, people were having dreams. And um and so it it helps us to understand that God chooses to use it as a means of giving messages from the supernatural realm to the natural realms. And that is why dreams are so so very important. Okay, now so we are we are clear that God uses it as a vehicle. Yes, as a vehicle, he uses um uses dreams. Now, let's let's see what he said. He also said in the book of Numbers uh how he in fact let me turn to that and give you an insight into what was happening uh there in um Numbers chapter 12. And it says, and the Lord spake suddenly unto Moses and unto Aaron and Miriam, and come, he said, Come out of the three unto the tabernacle of the congregation, and there um they met with the Lord. And the Lord came down in the pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle and called Aaron and Miriam, those were Moses' brother and sister, and they came both they both came forth. And he said, Hear now my words. That's God speaking. If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. So we see the mythology, the method by which God would speak to people, both in dreams and in visions. And he says, But my servant Moses is not like that. Who is faithful in all mine house? And they went on to say, With him I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark species. See, now that word is important to understand, in dark species, mean and and the similitude of the Lord shall be, shall he behold. Wherefore, when when were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? So here God is um correcting um a brother and a sister who chose to take it upon themselves to um fight with their bigger brother Moses, with their with their brother Moses, and God was unhappy about it. Now they felt they had equal rights, they felt they were on the same wavelength, the same level spiritually and otherwise to Moses. Now, Moses were the younger of the three. And you know, sometimes you have younger siblings who think, you know what, even bigger ones, we're different. Yeah. In their case, they felt that although God was using Moses, they felt they had a right to correct him over the things that he decided to do. Now Moses decided that he wanted to um to marry to an Ethiopian woman, and as a result, they were not happy about that. So they decided to rebuke him, and God came down to address the situation. So he told them the different methods by which he will deal with people. One, he let them know that depending on who you are, he will speak to you in dreams. That's God, we're saying that. He will speak to you in dreams and in visions, yes, and in dark speeches. Speeches. So, in other words, he's letting you know that dream is a place where you meet God, yes, and whether you meet him in the form of a vision, or you meet him in the form of dreams, or you meet him and he doesn't even show himself to you, but can convey messages through different medium to you. So I think that should leave you in no doubt that dreams are a tool that God uses to interact with his people. Now, if you you know, God is so magnificent that it's not possible for you and I to look at him with our natural eyes. You know, we would just smelt if we tried to do that. So it is natural for him to remove us or take us out of our physical body, as it were, and speak to us where there is no danger of his divine presence consuming us. So dreams are very, very important. Now, so we we now establish that dreams is not merely something as the um as the the as the psychologists would say, or the scientists would say, or even some people from their cultural background would say, we are clear that God uses dreams as a means of interaction with his people. Okay, now that's important. And I am going to read another scripture for you so that you are in you're left in no doubt as regarding what dreams really is about and how God interacts, really interacts with people when it comes to dreams. So I really want you to be clear. Now, this is Daniel, and everyone you know who reads the Bible knows about Daniel. Daniel was an amazing prophet, he was an amazing uh prince, and he was just bold. He had great love for God, and as a result, God has great love for him. Okay, now he was in captivity, uh, taken into Babylon. Today we would have called it Persia or Iran or Baghdad, but that is where he was taken from his homeland in Israel. And here God is serving the king. This one is King Nebuchadnezzar, and here the Bible went on in verse um um Daniel chapter 4 and verse 4. And I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at rest in my house, and flourishing in my palace. I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my head and the vision of my head troubled me. Okay. So you remember at the beginning we talk about traumatic situation, deep, deep subconscious traumas. This was what I believe was happening to this king, given the description that he gave. It troubled him, he said, and it didn't only trouble him in his dream, but it followed through that even when he woke up, he was still traumatized by the dream that he had. And in verse 6 he says, Therefore, made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me. Now again, I want you to bear in mind the word decree. Yes, he was not begging them to come. He was not hoping that they would come. He decree. See, that's what kings do. They decree things. And I'm going to show you why you have a right to decree things. Amen. Because God sees you as kings, as priests, is where he's concerned. And as such, you have the right to decree things. So stand by for that one. We want to for you to be clear, because too many people are afraid and they get bothered, they get troubled when things does not seem to be going the way they want it to go. And they begin to find themselves in this rather servant, servant attitude where they want to beg, please beg, beg, beg, Lord. No. This was a man who did not even recognize God. And that's why the dream was so traumatic for him, because he was a pagan worshiper. And here something is happening to him that he couldn't fathom. And the Bible tells us that he made a decree. Yes, that's what King does. When you're acting, walking, talking as kings and priests, you know, you make decree, you decree things. And uh I want everyone who understand their God-given position, know that it is within your author your powers and authority to decree what you want to happen. Yes, the whole universe is waiting for you to make your declaration, what is it you want to happen? Okay. And it says, Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they may, that they might make known unto me the interpretation of the dreams. See, if this was just a figment of one's imagination, then you would not be looking at having interpretation per se. If it was merely activities of the brain, then you wouldn't be looking for anybody to give you interpretation of the dreams. Yes? If it was, as many would think, it was uh a neuro activity uh going on, you wouldn't have that. But in this case, he wanted interpreters who could interpret the dream because he recognized that this dream was outside the physical realm of humanity. And it went on to say, then came he, then came in the magicians, uh, the astrologers, the chaldeans, the suitsayers, and I told them the dream before them. But they did not make known unto me the interpretation of the dreams. Now this is most interesting, that there are a lot of people who dreams, but there's nobody around them to interpret the dream for them. And so it's easy for those dreams to be discoded, because of course there's no one around you they can go to to say, hey, this is what happened, this is how it happened. Can I have an interpretation? And uh if they could get one, then they would have been very happy. Because dreams, in more ways than one, are in from information from the spirit world. That is what is happening. Now, some dreams, of course, are influenced by the social order around you. So, what that means is there are Depending on your activities. And so when you bring it down to the lower end of what dream is about, you can understand why the natural person would, like those who study the physiological side of dreams, would then be saying that it also has to do with your thought process indecision. This is what some would say that during the daytime you may have ideas, you may have opinions of things that you have not properly made a decision on. And so it carries into the spiritual realm or into your consciousness. This is what they call it. Now, many would not call it spiritual, they call it your conscious and your subconscious. This is what they will say. Well, I'm not sure what is the difference, you know, in the sense that in your mind you are thinking, doing, things are happening, and there's no tangibility to it. And if there isn't, then it has to be within the realms of the spirit. It's okay. So here it happens. And when he calls in all of the supposed wise men who the scientists, the uh uh psychologists, they could call in all of the different categories of people. That's what the Bible said he did. He called them in. Now, he uh in our time we may call them different names. Like we just says, neurologists. You may say uh uh this the psychologists, uh uh psychiatric or different names, but in those days they had them in these different and varied categories. Okay, so having called them in, he told them his dreams. Praise God. And uh the Bible says, and he went on to tell us that when he told them, yeah, they could not give him the interpretation thereof. But at the last, in verse 8, at the last Daniel came in before him, whose name was changed from Daniel to Belteshazzar, according to the name of my God. And in whom is the spirit, now notice again, the spirit of the holy gods, and before him I told the dreams, saying, So there is so much in that for us to accept and understand. Yeah, he recognized that the spirit of the true and living God was in Daniel, unlike all the other people that were called in, just challenges the suit says, the psychiatrics, the um the scientist, neuroscientists, etc. But they were not able to give him the interpretation of the dream. And he said he told it to um Daniel, and he says, O Beltichaza, master of the magicians, that's who Daniel was, uh, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee. You see, this is most important to understand why we say in part one that dreams is more than just mental activities. Here, this king is recognizing that this man has the spirit of the of the of the holy God in him, and as a result, he would be able to interpret his dreams. So he says, Men, and no secret, no secret trouble thee. Tell me the vision of my dream that I have seen and the interpretation thereof. Thus were the vision of my head in my bed. I saw and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great. The tree grew and was strong, and the height thereof reaches into the heavens, and the sight thereof to the ends of all the earth, and the leaves thereof were fair, and it goes on to describe this incredible um dream that he had. Yeah. And in the final analysis, you can read it for yourself in chapter, Daniel chapter four. In the final analysis, when Daniel listened to the dream, he began to interpret the dream to King Nebuchadnezzar. And he said, Now, that tree you saw, that's you. You can understand why he was so traumatized. He said, Now that tree was you, and you, because of your position, you are great. Because at that time we are talking about the Babylonian Empire. So he was the head of the Babylonian Empire, a type of the beast that is yet to come. Okay, so he said, now you are the one. You're great, you're powerful, the whole world respects you, but God is saying he's not happy with you, and he's going to cut you down. You know, see that's that root you saw in the ground, that is you. You're going to be cut down. That's the message that God is sending to. So here, how important this is for everyone to know. Don't don't take your dreams lightly. Messages are coming from the divine realm that you need to hear it. And if you don't have an interpreter around you, pray and ask God to reveal to you what it is that He wants to tell you. And as I said, some people don't have anyone to interpret their dreams, and so they just disregard what is happening. Yes? So I want again to reiterate. I think I've shown you how important dreams are and how God uses dreams to interact with people, convey messages prophetically and directly, and in other ways, He does that. So I want you to understand that from today your dream must be taken according as God would intend it. For you to have the dreams, and two things that normally happen when you have a dream. You will either remember the dreams, yes, or you will totally forget the dream. That's what I mean. Now, sometimes people wake up and they remember that they had a dream, but they cannot recall what it is that they dreamt. That is one of the things that happen to a lot of people. They cannot remember what it is that they that they dream. And you it is an indication as to where you are in your spiritual walk with God. Now you can imagine there are those who uh would subscribe to the mental opinion, and there are those who would subscribe to the scientific opinion, and there are those who subscribe to the cultural and the ancestral opinion, and so people are going through this great phenomena each night, but what depending on what is influencing their ideas on it as to whether they reap the benefit of their dreams or it just passes them by. Okay, so I want you to to know that. Now somebody may say to me, I am not spiritual. That does not make any difference. If you say you're not spiritual, that doesn't mean that you're not spiritual. It means that you may choose to disregard your own divine heritage. Yes, because everyone is born with a spirit, and it is what makes you spiritual, whether you follow it or you don't. You just become a very rebellious person, a disobedient person, a person who feels that you rather deny your reality than accept and walk in your reality. So that is what is happening. So let's reiterate what we said about the dream. Because you are on a journey, the moment you lay down, the moment you lay down, you have the propensity to get into that dream. Now, some people love it, and if you are in good spiritual standing where even within your dream, spirits has to respect you. I mean, then there are those who love to get into it. Okay. But otherwise, I will say to you that if you really want to engage and enjoy the spiritual connectivity with God, then you need to do some things. It is a bit like having a shower before you go to bed. You want to be clean. And there it is. So you need to cleanse yourself spiritually. You need to cleanse it. That is why most people who are believers, they would go to bed and they would pray before they fall into sleep. Because they want to purge themselves, clean themselves from the day's activities, the things that have happened to them, where they might have behaved and act and speak out of terms with others, so they want themselves to be cleansed before they fall into this dream where their body, their spirit begin interacting within the spirit world. So what would you what you're required to do? Number one, you're required to heal. Yes? And by healing, we mean you need to look at your day. Look at what has happened. Yes, some say, well, my day, my day is a long day. Now your day is 12 hours. That is your day. Okay? If you choose to go beyond those 12 hours, that's up to you. Yes? But you are encrouching on the time when you should be spending in your spirit world. This is what is going on. And if you shortchange your spirit world, then don't be surprised that you wake up disorientated, don't know what is going to happen, don't know when it's going to happen, and you find yourself at log ahead, at imbalance with your purpose. Yes, with your purpose. Now, why do you think that babies grow so much? Why do you think that, you know, they don't need to worry about anything because they know how to sleep. Yes. Many of us stop sleeping, meaningful sleep. And what I mean is we would go to sleep for the for the for the sake of going at the very last minute when our physical body can't hold out any longer. See, but that is not how you are to do it. You need to be making time where you begin to shut down, shut off, shut out. Shut down, shut off, and shut out. You see, this is what needs to happen. So by healing, this means, you're healing those who offend you, you're healing those who has been uh was traumatizing you, you're healing those who speak evil to you, you're healing those who offend you, you're healing those who oppose you. And all of the negative things that people have brought to your door, you didn't ask for it, you didn't encourage it, but people bring it anyhow. And sometimes because of your job environment or because of where you are, you have to deal with it. And you sometimes suppress all of the anger and resentment and hatred that you feel for what people may be doing. It may be your boss, it may be your manager, it may be somebody who is a supervisor that is causing this. So, what needs to happen? Healing needs to take place. Yes, you need to be healed, and that's why when you pray, you're praying away those things that can only serve to be a vehicle for Satan to come into your dreams. Yes, that's what you're you're shutting out, number one. Okay, so here we have it. Number two, you have to learn how to bless. See, now blessing is very important, yes? You need to know that you have the capacity to bless. Now, what is it? What does it mean to be blessed? It means that you're asking God to cause his kindness, his love, his affection, his joy to come upon you and those whom you desire that it should come on. So you bless people. You need to know that you can bless people, and you carry out the blessing. I bless my mother for being horrible and you know, she was horrible and say nasty things to me. But right now, Lord, I am asking you to heal her, deliver her, and don't lay her sins to her charge. You see what I mean? So I'm I'm forgiving her. I'm forgiving her, absolutely. It may be your husband, it may be your father, it may be your sister, your brother, it may be your neighbor, your neighbors and people around you, but forgiving them, for blessing them rather, is an important part of your moving into the spirit realm. Now let's hear what Jesus said. Jesus said, bless them that curse you, and do good to them that spitefully use you, and turn around and hate you. You see, this is what it says you should do. Bless them. Yes? Be good to them, and you will be amazed how things turn around for your glory, for your happiness, because you have already set yourself to bless those people that are cursing you. Amen. And see, that is really important. Okay, so after you blessed everyone and there's nobody else left out, praise God, because you take care of your teacher, you take care of your bosses, you take care of your family members who is just nasty and like to do horrible things. So you bless them and you forgive them because why you're going on to something better. Finally, it is forgiving, right? And we talk about forgiveness. So heal, bless, and forgive. So one of the greatest things in life is forgiveness. Praise God. See now, God Himself forgiven us. That's why St. John 3.16 says, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. So forgiveness liberates you. Yes. Forgiveness helps you to appreciate what the person has done for you, and that's why it's important. Yes. So never allow anyone to cause you to sink so low as to hate them. Yes. You really got to make sure that that doesn't happen. And once you are able to do that, then it is important that you understand how much God in turn will love you and he will bless you. See, that's what he will do. Not only does he cause his face to shine on you, showing favor towards you, towards your family, but he also wants you to know that everything is going to be all right. Amen. So your dream will tell you so much. And from today, wherever you're listening from, then make it a part of your daily routine to respect and to support and to serve those around you with love, with joy, with peace. God bless you. It has been wonderful. And so before we close out, I just want to pray a prayer of blessing over your life, and that your dreams will be meaningful, and that God will speak to you through your dreams and visions and bring you closer to what He is looking for. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you. And we bless you because of the love wherewith you loved us. We thank you for everyone that is watching today. We thank you, Lord, for everyone that will share it, for everyone, God, that will subscribe, for everyone that will be a support to the ministry. I'm asking you in Jesus' name to let your anointing rest upon them. We are asking you in Jesus' name to bless when they go out and when they come in. Father, we just want to say thank you for what you're doing in our world, in our lives. Thank you. In Jesus' name, Amen. So God bless you. Peace be to you.
