Welcome to Rema Bible Study. We are here again to share with you some word on you. Now, why is it? Because we are continuing our um subject matter, which is loving all of you. We think it's important that you love yourself and loving all of you. Now, our previous lesson um dealt with that quite a bit, to point out why is it that you need or you should really love all of you because of how uniquely special that God created you. So loving yourself is more than just a state of mind. Sometimes people just think that it is to do with your emotions. And that is why so many people speak about heartbreak. I remember I was writing a quote um on my TikTok account, and I it it um it stems from someone saying how heartbroken they were because of her failed uh relationship. And as I begin to think about it, and I'm thinking, why would they be heartbroken? And what exactly is it is heartbroken to have this notion that you your heart is breaking. And I realize that a lot of that is state of one's mind. That's what it really is. So I asked a question: what is the difference between losing someone to death or actually losing someone who you have a relationship with? Do what you call losing someone to death the same heartbreak. You're losing that person. But why does people you never hear people say, oh, I am so hurt and I'm so heartbroken because your loved one dies. But they would say that in a relationship. And you begin to understand that it is a conflict between the physical, the mental, and the spiritual. And oftentimes, people do not fully grasp what their mind is really all about. So loving yourself is to understand the workings of your mind, and I call it the state of your mind. Now, why is it a state? Now, when something is just once or a few times, you call it an act. When something is permanently, you know, in a certain area or being involved with certain activity, you call it a state. And so for a lot of people, their mind is in a state of confusion based on past experience. And oftentimes it is that which triggers and drives their emotion. And when you really stop to think about it, what people call, a lot of people call heart broke, it's really a state of their mind, what state their mind is in, and how they feel. Breaking up a relationship or losing a loved one, what impact it is going to have on them. And that is often times where many of the issues come in. Yes. So loving someone, it's not possible for you to ever stop loving someone if the love in the first place was true, if it was born out of a divine nature. Of course, we know that there are different definitions of love, some more important than others. For example, love that comes from God is called agape love. Love that is between two individuals, two spirit, it is called, they call it filia. Love that is after what it can get, and more self-centered, erratic, they call that heiress. Love between mother, father, son, daughter, they call it storage. So you have these different kinds of emotions that is driving individuals. But the truest of all love is the divine love. And whenever time genuine connectivity takes place between two individuals, yes, it's not just emotion. See, emotion is like the weather. It can change, it can go up one day, down the next day, warm one day, cold the next day. See, that's emotion. And for a lot of people, that's what is driving their perception of love. When you truly love someone, and as I said that, for you to love other people and fail to love yourself is a travesty. It really, it really is. And that's why so many people have what they call broken heart, because it's all to do with their emotion. It's a mind condition. If it's if if everything is going well, I'm happy. If I get everything I want, I'm at them satisfied. If people eat praises on me, I feel affirmed. And the list goes on, but is that really love? I is just state of one's mind and emotion that is at work. True love, it doesn't care whether you're in the valley or on the mountain, whether you're up or you're down, whether you're sad or you're glad, it don't matter because it is consistent. It's there at all times. And that is what when when the Bible defines that kind of love, it tells us in Romans 5 and verse 8, it says, for God commended his love towards us, that while we were yet everything that God hates, while we were sinners, God caused his love to come to us. What is he saying? He's saying that his love is not based on the emotion of your good or your bad. His love transcends the emotions. So even though you're a sinner, he's saying that his love still is there upholding you. So while most other people's love is based on what they do to suit each other. So if you if a person does what you expect, great, we are absolutely in love. If they do what you don't expect them to do, oh we are broken out of love, and if it cannot be reconciled, each party going their way, and you'll hear the word, he hurt me, or I'm dying from a broken heart. You see, it's all to do with the emotion. Because true love would have taken each other in arms and says, I understand what happened, and I will never hold it against you. Because true love will neutralize anything that is not in line with its nature. It is the difference between something that is acidic and something that is alkaline. See now, when you look at them, your love got to be like that. So if a person becomes acidic, you have to have the alkaline so that you can neutralize what is going on. See, that is what true love is, you know, and when you have that, you're going to find everything working according to plan. So therefore, not only, as we said before, it's a state of mind, it is a series of action and habits that is embedded in your daily life. See, that is what it really is about. Now, your superpower are your extraordinary power, are your ability to demonstrate love, because that's what love is. It's extraordinary. Love is a superpower, and this love breaks down anything. That's why when you truly love someone, do not fool yourself in thinking that because I have an emotional attachment to somebody, it's the same as being truly in love with someone. Yes? Now take yourself. Can you can you can yourself give you a broken heart? See, let me let let's let's let that settle for a moment. Can yourself give you a broken heart? No, it can't.

Yes?

Even when you find you've done something that was never your intention, oh yes, you get mad, oh yes, you have a tantrum, oh yes, you think, oh, why did that, why did I do that? Well, guess what happened? You don't go around saying, I've got a broken heart because of my stupidity. You don't do that. You quickly rebalance and keep on moving. And anybody asks you, are you okay? Yes, I am okay. But I did something that was really not very wise. So what are you gonna do about that? I'm gonna move on. Why? Because I love myself.
unknown
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01
What happened to the broken heart? What happened to the disappointment? What happened to lack of you know, meeting expectation? None of those comes into play. And it's the same thing when you have uh you're dealing with true love, everyone has their own unique exceptional ability, right? You've got yours. Oftentimes you don't see it because you're busy looking at somebody else's. I once told somebody that if you are truly made to be a beggar, you can be a millionaire beggar. Well, in fact, most people are beggars, they just don't think they are. You're begging for jobs, you're begging for business, you're begging for a house, you're begging for a car, you're begging for so many things. Yes? You're begging your bank. See? But let's say, let's look at the lower form of begging. Where a person is on the street, you know, is on the street, but they have the ability to beg. In the first place, you're going to find the right place to beg, the right environment. Because that will determine whether you succeed as a beggar or not. You got to have a perspective on yourself. What is it you want? When do you want it by? You see, and God is so balanced, he's so equal in his ways, that the same way he looks after the guy with the business, the guy who's got the CEO job or the guy who is managing a company, is the same God who is over the beggar getting his bag. And if he applies himself to wisdom, he would see incredible things happening. So when you have this unique and exceptional ability, you know, this quality that defines you will bring you into your proper perspective. Because you are not waiting to be affirmed by anyone. You are doing what you are called to do, chosen to do, and that will affirm you. That's what will affirm you. If you're good to someone, your goodness will affirm you. If you give out your bread to the hungry, your goodness will affirm you. See, that is what is so very, very important. So you are as a person, you know, I mean, this person that you are, goodness, love, peace, joy, and all of these wonderful things characterize your life. Because why? You know how to love. Love the Lord your God with your spirit, with your soul, your mind, your body. This is what the word of God says. And imagine loving your neighbor as you love yourself. So your love is not something to be taken lightly, because it has the potential to love God, it has the potential to love you, it has the potential to love your neighbor, so you can appreciate how important it is for you to love all of you. All of you. Yes? So this goodness that you bring to the world, because remember I said to you that every one of us is created for a divine purpose. So this goodness that you bring to the world, to schools, to works, to society, to family, to friends, and all other people that you come across, all of course will try to keep you in their power and limit you to what they think you should be. And more than likely, most people conform, they allow themselves to be confined to somebody somebody else's prison. And it's important for you to know that you are more than what most people think you should be. So, what do you have to be? You got to be sensitive, you have to be bold, you have to be caring, you have to be someone who is ready to be everything and more than God said you are. You have to be honest, you have to be reliable, you have to allow yourself to expand into the greatness for which God created you. And this is where some people confuse self-love with endless positivity and optimism. You see, that is where a lot of people missed it. Irrespective of whether you've got positivity or whether you're skeptical, it does not change who you are. Your life existed before the influence of your environment. Positivity and all of these wonderful things, whether it is optimism and all of these, they are impact, they reflect your environment. If you are in an environment where people are extremely negative, you're gonna find yourself being like that. If they're positive, then you're gonna find yourself, okay, yes, I am positive because my environment says that I should. And before you know, you become trapped in this. And more than anything else, rather than living the life you should, you find yourself living the pain of your environment and not recognizing that you're created for greater things. That is why you have to grasp the concept of the inside versus the outside. See, that's what is important. The inside versus the outside. Because every good thing, your destiny, your purpose, your gift, your talent, everything is on the inside of you. And your mind, your spirit on the inside of you. So when you consider, if all of these wonderful things are on the inside of me, then what is on the outside? And why is it so many people are influenced by what's on the outside rather than what is on the inside? In most cases, is the lack of commitment to sacrificing to get to who you really are. That's where many people. It's no different than the archaeologists who go out to dig for certain artifacts. But if he's not prepared to take the risk, if he's not prepared to go out in the cold, you know, with the dangers that surround those kinds of work, he's going to have nothing. But he's already make up in his mind that this is what I'm going to do, this is what I'm going to be, and he sees the end from the beginning. So I want you to know today that you are who God said you are. You are truly marvelous. You're truly incredible. God made you like that, made you in his image, made you in his likeness. Today we want to say thank you. Thank you for joining me today. We come to the end of this session, and we are very, very happy and excited that you were able to join us. And um we want you to know that we want you to know.
Well, let me stop. No, I'm just gonna do it with you. Go on, tell him. Okay, so we just want you want you to know that we just arrived to close out and seeing that he's here, he's gonna pray us out.
