đ Welcome #RDDC and #FDS Familianz! You are now tuning in to #HeckvsHell Ep. 90 â #TheStraightAndNarrow...
Many of us have heard the phrase before, but few ever stop to consider what it truly means. Is it simply about following rules, or is it something much deeper? More often than not, life tempts us toward one extreme or the otherâfear or rebellion, control or chaos, discipline or complacency. Yet God continually calls us to something different: a path marked by wisdom, discernment and spiritual balance.
#TheStraightAndNarrow explores how our upbringing, life experiences, pain and even culture can quietly shape the way we think and respond to the world around us. Whether through generational cycles, past wounds or our reactions to difficult seasons, it's easy to begin living from survival instead of purpose. Throughout this episode, we discuss the importance of healing, renewing the mind and allowing Godânot our circumstancesâto become the foundation for our decisions. Because true freedom isn't found in reacting to life... it's found in walking the path God has prepared for you.
This isn't about choosing sides. It isn't about proving who's right. It's about learning to discern what is good, what is true and what draws you closer to the person God created you to become. Sometimes the narrow path isn't the easiest one to walk... but it's the one that leads to life.
That, is #TheStraightAndNarrow...

What's going on everybody? Welcome back to another episode of Heck versus Hell where the truth we tell. That is correct. That is right. That is it. Handling business. Y'all know what it is. I hope you are having a wonderful day, wonderful week, wonderful month. Y'all know how we like to get down. So if you need anything, you want to check out anything, always go to www.real double dose channel.com and check out the blog at www.real doubledose channel.blogspot.com for any updates, information, details on things that we are dismissing. And I apologize for the background noise. I'm recording outside, and you know, some people have struggling cars. Nothing wrong with that, nothing wrong with that at all. You know, everybody's on their own journey, but uh that's why we got a little bit of loudness, uh a little bit of different animation. Uh, however, to get right into this video, I want to uh speak about this specifically because this is a perspective that I hold very strongly, and it's one that a lot of people may not agree with, especially people of color that are coming into wokeness or being awake, and even people in Christ that have a certain perspective. Now, I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm saying this is my perspective, okay, and this is how I approach it. So, what I'm speaking about is coming into the terms of certain systematic oppressions, which is absolutely true and absolutely right, and there always has to be a sense of acknowledgement for it. Now, the way I operate about it is different than others. There's people that either just completely dismiss it, say it's not a conversation that needs to be had, or you are so gun-ho for it that it actually makes the oppression that is systematically put in place be a part of you. Now, this is something that I actually had an epiphany with, and and in the way I operated even before I came into Christ. Now, I had this epiphany after coming into Christ, but I was operating this way before. Now, this comes from a very simple aspect of balance. Okay, there is balance that needs to be had in everything, right? That's the narrow path is perfection, the balance. So, in balance, right, and I'm not talking about oh, you're you're you either gotta be uh you know for me or against me. That's a completely different story. That is, you know, only two sides, black and white, but there is a balance, right? Just how Christ was speaking about if you're not hot or cold, I'll spit you out. It's still a balance of those people that had to be had, that had to have that perfect combination of not being either to be able to spit out. But whenever it comes to a lot of different elements, I've spoken about it before in my own testimony of how my parents created and cultivated that balance within me. My father was very strict, uh, I was grounded like a lot during my childhood, and it was like to the point where we couldn't even go outside and play. Uh, you know, it was me for my siblings all in one room, uh, with my dad being in the same room as well. But we would essentially have to be and stay in there, not being able to do anything but sit there and not silence, you know, we would speak to each other and stuff like that, but it was such a seclusion and such a strictness that he carried and upheld in terms of how he wanted to upbring us the values that he wanted to place in us. Uh, you know, so many different aspects of his cultivation, put it that way. Now, my mother, on the other hand, she had the complete opposite, she was full freedom, full live as you will kind of lifestyle, just absolutely loose as a goose in the sense of uh, you know, discipline in the sense of uh corresponding to correction, like anything that had to do with any of that, it was not there. You know, they had a better balance when they worked together, but ultimately they split up whenever I was very young, and I had both sides of the spectrum. Like, one of the things that my daddy used to say too was that if I ever got a tattoo, he will personally get a knife, sharpen it right in front of me, and cut it off my skin. Now he, you know, obviously was just saying that as a little bit of a tactic or whatever to try to get us not to do something, uh, but regardless, it was still something that he had said, it was something that he was trying to invoke, a certain sense of what not to do, right? When we didn't have that balance with my mom, so it cultivated a certain type of knowing of a perfect balance of the understanding of love in the sense of looseness and discipline. There has to be a balance in it because I resented my father for a very long time. My mother, I loved her because she gave me freedom, but ultimately it was my mother that got me to the point of from being raised that way, it got me in certain situations, and I don't want to say it was her fault, uh, because everybody's responsible for their own life, but it was due to the upbringing of not having that discipline, and then even more so through a deeper journey of you know the the testimony that I carry with my father, and essentially not disowning him, but stepping up to take his position in the little facet that I'll bring up in another another time or another aspect of it. But the point of it is is the balance that came with it. Now, I say that to say it was the same way whenever it came to COVID, and I had an awareness about it. When COVID happened, I still wasn't in Christ, and I was moving around like that, you know. I was over here doing things that I was not supposed to be doing, I was over here getting in situations that ultimately put me on house arrest, right? Um, but I still was not wanting to go through the mandates of quarantine and wearing masks, and I consciously made that decision. This is what I mean by the balance. Because if something or someone has control over you, you move according to that. Subconsciously, you make the decision, you don't make a conscious decision. You either hate the government and you're like, Oh, yeah, screw that, I'm not doing that, boom, boom, boom, or you're in such a fearful state to where you know the government has cultivated that in you, to where you go and you become a victim to the system, and you rely on it. So there was people that did it just because the government said to do it, and there was people that didn't do it because the government said to do it, but regardless, what I truly believe is that they were still seeing who their sheep are and who they can still control through saying one thing knowing that that group is gonna do the exact opposite. I believe that was a big test. I believe that was a big test of seeing where the population is at. Um, call me a conspiracy theorist, call me whatever you want, but there's much crazier things I've heard that are true, and in that same aspect, this is an analogy I've used before, but think about it like this. Think about it as you grew up in a household where your father was drunk, father was drunk, and he was very abusive to you and your mother, maybe your siblings too, and due to that, it caused you to one of two things. Either one, it made you believe that you were no better than him, and that is all that you can come into, that is all that you can become because you are your father's son, you are your father's daughter, so you go drink and you do the same thing and you repeat the cycle, right? Generational curse. But on the opposite side of that, there's people that go and they say, I'm never gonna do that to my children, I'm never gonna go and and be able to drink or touch a bottle, and you build such a hate for it. Now, yes, it sounds so much better of like, okay, that's great, you know. You have a discipline to where you're not gonna touch a bottle, to where you're not gonna enter any alcohol into your system. That's awesome, but it still has control over you because imagine if that person that is living in that way, that due to what they experience and due to aboring it, they pass up on a blessing or pass up on saving somebody's life, or whatever it may be, due to alcohol being as part of an equation. So, regardless, the alcohol still controlled them, regardless if you chose one path or the other, that's where the healing has to take place. That's why healing is so important, that's why we talk about it so much at Real W channel, is because that is how you unprogram yourself from the program that was set unto you from the experiences that you experienced that you were not properly able to see at the time, that you took a mental note and a subconscious note into your soul to attach an emotion to it, rather than one understanding that everything is for the good of those who love them, and two that it had a purpose for why it happened in the first place, and that sounds very you know harsh to say to some people because there's people that get molested at a very young age, there's people that lose their children in the horrific ways, and regardless, it's it it shows yes, absolutely free will how evil this world can really be, how we are not of this world, it shows hope, you know, it allows us to have hope in knowing that the kingdom of heaven is awaiting us and that we have a lot more people to bring to the kingdom of heaven, but it shows us aspects and it be makes us become people who we were created to become. It allows us to go to through those situations and compassionately, truly, and wholly be able to uplift a brother or sister that was in the same situation. So the balance is healing, okay? But I'm gonna make it that conversation. I'm gonna make it that conversation so completely forget what I was saying at the beginning. The balance of understanding that there is still control, regardless if you feel what you are doing is right. What is right is not always good, and what is good is not always right. That's one thing that took me a while to learn. Most of the time, I would say 99% of the time, doing the right thing and the right thing is good. But there are certain situations where the right thing doesn't exactly equate to good, it is still a right decision, but it doesn't mean that it is a good decision in that same way for that example that I was using. If you make that decision inside of yourself to say, hey, I am never going to do that again, that is the right decision, absolutely. You probably saved some lives, you know. You probably avoided drinking and driving and having other people lose some lives, but in the sense and the ultimate will of your purpose and your journey with God, now it may have already been over with, you might have needed it for that experience, right? Like, for example, with Joseph. I don't believe, and I don't think God writes it down to be that it was good for Joseph to be imprisoned, it was right because it was exactly where God needed him to be to put him as the second most powerful man in the world at that time. So, in that same position, it's it it doesn't always coincide. There's a difference from right and wrong, good and bad, and they don't always collide, they have overlappings, and that's where balance has to be placed. This is where discernment comes into place, being able to truly and consciously see decisions, and I'll be honest, I I gotta get a lot better at it myself, you know. I've had and been put myself in situations that I should have had so much better discernment, better vision to see what was going on plenty of times, even recently, you know, not as major anymore, but I've still been able to put myself in those situations. Hindsight definitely is 2020. So if you constantly evaluate your life and evaluate the decisions that you make in order to weigh out and discern what is right, how can you not walk in the will of God? There was a passage that Paul wrote, and correct me if I'm wrong, and please look it up, please look it up because I don't know which one of the letters it was that he was writing, which one of the epistles, but he was saying to conform to the word, right? To renew the mind. That's the one that it was is the renewing of the mind, and it continues on to say, in order to discern the will of God, isn't that beautiful? You have to renew your mind, you have to reprogram your mind in order to understand and discern the will of God. It it gives us the keys, it gives us the answers. This is literally the ultimate guidebook, the guide to humans, the guide to mankind, whatever you want to call it. It gives us that layer above so many others, and just believing in the foundation gives you already a huge step up because you have an advocate helping you walk through that path, but actively taking the steps of faith and walking in it so that you can complete the purpose and point aspect of your specific purpose within the will of God, the keys are right there. I mean, I don't know how much more I could express it, but balance, healing, renewing. It is the foundation for becoming a new creature in Christ. It is the foundation for becoming kings and queens under God, under the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords. It is one of the main basis that we must understand in order to, as Christ said to Peter, feed my sheep. In order to feed his sheep, these are the foundations that we have to go through, and there's so many people that that again, like I said, this is why I'm still choosing to do Hagver's Hell and going about a more unorthodox way of the natural religious confines of how they preach in this way, right? This is the stage right here, Hagver's hell, and it comes also from the point of knowing that I'm always growing, I'm always growing myself. And that, of course, is what Christ embodied. How he was able to walk on water, how he was able to move through people, even through crowds, even to where they couldn't touch him. How the spirit raised them from the dead, how that same spirit and even just the authority gave the disciples the ability to rise other people from dead, to heal the blind, cure the sick. It all stems from faith. But who we become in the process is one of the beautiful most beautiful things about it. Because that is where we start mending that mirror back together with the help of God to become the greatest reflections that we can be. And the exact fullness of what God intended before He sent us into this world. I love you all. I hope you have a blessed one, and as always, we will catch you on the flip side.
