Ready for some Spring cleaning?! What hidden dirt/struggle is there within you? Like dirt under the stove, no one else can see it, but you know it's there.

You don't need to always scrub harder; you might need to find the joy and let more light in!

For this episode, I went with the Fantasy Cats Oracle by Paolo Barbieri & Sasha Graham.

The card is summer. Wild, radiant, midday energy. And that tells me something important. We don't cleanse the soul by force, we cleanse it by light. Think about the places in your home that go untouched, under the stove, behind the fridge. It's not that they're impossible to clean, it's that they're hidden. And so it is within us. But when the light comes in, real light, joyful light, alive light, nothing can stay hidden anymore. So maybe this season isn't asking you to fight your shadows. Maybe it's asking you to shine so brightly that they disappear. Love it. Welcome everyone to episode 37 titled, if you haven't guessed it, Spring Cleaning. I was trying to uh, you know, decide. Well, we're on spring break, so tomorrow, guess what, folks? Oh my god, I don't have school. I don't have school all week. So I said, you know, overall for spring break. Ooh, spring cleaning. And then I said, oh, perfect. You know, it's when you pull out the fridge and you pull out the stove and you clean the crud that just creeps underneath somehow. And I said, ooh, I'm gonna tie that into what inwardness, you know, what's inside, what struggles, what dirt do we need to clean? Do we need to be, I guess kind of talking about shadow work, but um I love how the card pull, which is the summer card, and I'll get into that in a little bit, but how it's spring cleaning, but the summer card came up and just flooding it with light and to where the shadows have to disappear. So anyway, so we'll get into that. So let's see. So this weekend was great. Um, we had the big garage sale, it's like a Beta Springs garage sale. Um, Nathan and I sold a few things, sold a few items, just less stuff to move. So we did that, just starting to kind of clean and you know declutter, things like that. And and tomorrow I have to go to I have to go to central office because guess what? I got a new teaching job. I am so excited. I had the one interview, one interview, and boom, that was it. And that just uh so exciting just to have that check off the list. So once again, something else, spring cleaning, something else extra to do, something I have to extra take care of this week, just to just to kind of get everything nice and clean and tidy, like I like it. Let my OCD kick in. Um but so I just I wanted to share that good bit of news with y'all about the job. Just so excited. Um, it doesn't make it feel good though, just doing that extra cleaning, like taking down the the curtains and the drapes, and you get those washed and dried and just going a little extra, just making things neat, makes you feel good about yourself, knowing you wake up to a clean room, clean home. But um, but anyway, ooh, also before I move on, I wanted to do a shout out. Y'all, I got some listeners in Canada. I don't know who they are. I hope they're still listening, but I use Buzzprout. Uh, that's what I use to get my podcast out there. And so obviously, behind the United States, Canada's the next in line as far as most listeners. So I would love, love, love if y'all are still listening to send me an email at lessons with Wesley uh uh to lessonswithwesley at gmail.com. That would be so fun to hear from y'all or anything. Oh, and also, folks, I've had a couple of people reach out to me about how much they love the last episode. Um Lady Whiskey shared her uh automatic writing, that five minutes of what message does love want to receive. So it was great. So if any of y'all have any uh messages you want to share, please, please, please email me. I would love to share uh just what the listeners, what y'all are getting out of it. But anyway, so take the time to share. And also don't forget to take the time to just click that hot dog right up there, those three dots, those three horizontal dots, and click that share link and share it to your friends. But anyway, I just want to give a shout out to the folks in Canada. So, as I was saying about this episode, I just wanted to tie it into cleaning, what inwardness do we need to clean? What is it that we know like you know, company comes over, you clean the house and but we don't pull out the fridge and the stove all the time. Company can't see it, but you know it's there. So what is it that you, and I say you, I'm talking to myself, so they might not see that dirt, filth, or struggle inside, but you know it's there. So where do we need to shine some light within ourselves to let those shadows go away and let that dirt go away? Alright, you ready to jump in? Let's get going. Okay, so for this episode, I decided to use the Fantasy Cats Oracle deck, and so the card that ended up coming out is the summer card, and that stands for the wild energy of midday. I know, wait, Wesley, aren't we talking about spring cleaning? Yes, we are, but hey, the summer card popped up. Now, if the spring card had popped up, that would have been amazing. But hey, this one popped up for a reason. So, summer doesn't clean by removing, summer cleans by illuminating. So, what I want to do is I'm going to read, I want to read the uh, you know, what the card stands for. So we've got Summer, the wild energy, enjoying the moment, living fully, giving value to what you have. Um, your desire is fired up as the air shimmers with sunlight and sparkles of noon echo the rich sounds of summer and the glamour of midday. Vulnerability and openness unfurl. Expansions and manifestations appear in all things, delight, laughter, romance takes center stage. Um, fun replaces work, uh, releasing the struggle. So I was talking about like that. Maybe that dirt, maybe there's a struggle, allowing light to expand your intent at a perfect pace, make your desire known and release it. Trust the day's magic as sunlight falls through leaves like drops of dew. Play and let pleasurable actions bring joy to the body and soul. Trust the beauty within. I love that one. Trust the beauty within, light yourself up from the inside. So, um midday, summertime, hot, the shadows shrink away, the dust is visible. Good god, I can't stand it. That time in the day, it's like four something, and we've got uh like we'll have the drapes open in the window, and you just see all those dust particles, and it's like, good grief, I'm not a dirty person, I clean, but you just see all that stuff in the sun rays, and I'm like, I I'm like, Nathan, close the curtain, close the drapes. I don't want to see all that that I'm breathing in. It's like, oh my gosh. But the truth is revealed. So, where do we need to what what do we need to have revealed? And so, what dirt do we need to find and scrub away? So let's what do we need to shed uh that where does that light need to go so that it just can't remain anymore? And folks, it's about giving yourself permission to stop, look inwardly. Where's the struggle? Where are you struggling? And give yourself permission to shed light on it and vanquish that darkness, vanquish that fear, that struggle that you have. Give yourself permission because you know what, folks, you've got the power to to say goodbye. You've got the power to get it out of there. Is it some old guilt? Is it some uh self-doubt? And once again, we've talked about the shedding of what done belong. So is it still some old belief or pattern that you know we've just outgrown or tolerated? And we we're now coming into our power. You know, we've been riding on that fire horse for a few days now, so it's like, look, I'm running your butt over these old beliefs, these old patterns, this old guilt, this old self-doubt. I'm not gonna struggle with it anymore. Because not only am I atop this wonderful, powerful fire horse, but I too am powerful. And and enough's enough. Stop struggling, stop wrestling, stop giving it so much weight. What do they say? Something like in school or or psychologists, it takes I'm gonna mess it up here, but it takes what like 7, 14 positive to to replace a negative. Why? Why do we allow that to why do we allow that to be like that? Why do we have to take so much man? Why is it why do we allow it? Because we give it too much power. We give it too much power. So play, folks, find joy, lighten your path, light yourself up so brightly that that dirt, it's gone. We gotta be gentler with ourselves, folks. We gotta be gentler with ourselves, not be so hard on ourselves. And with everything, with all these past episodes about shedding and running towards those goals. I love the last episode about love. What does love want you to hear? And it wants you to hear, well, mainly you gotta love yourself first. Get rid of all that dirt that's hidden. No one can see it when they come over to your house, but it's there. Love yourself first, find those victories. That's what that card pull was last week. That's the first victory. So take those little victories, folks. Let that light shine on it. Take those victories and just run with it. And that's when you start seeing those changes. So that's that's the episode today, folks. Shine that light and let that stuff be gone. Alright, folks. Thank y'all for joining me today.
