Alright everyone. Welcome. Welcome to episode 47. Discernment. So welcome to Lessons with Wesley. I hope y'all are doing well. I hope y'all have had a good two weeks. I didn't do an episode last week. I was working extra in my classroom. Y'all, it's almost done. It's almost done. I'm so excited. So tomorrow, well, tomorrow, the I'm recording this Saturday, uh, Monday coming up. That'll be my first day. So that'll be my first full day. But I've been working in my class already for two weeks. Um, I've had a couple of workshops I had to go to this past week, so it's been busy. But so if you noticed, if you're listening to this tomorrow, so if you're listening to this, it is Sunday. So I have decided, I was talking to a couple of people, and I will just, because my goal was to kind of record on Sundays and then release it on Monday for the beginning of the week. But then I was like, you know what? Some people's like for a teacher, you know, Sunday is kind of like the beginning of the week because that's it. Sunday night, you gotta wake up and go to work. And then I said, you know what? And Kay um was telling me, she said, and if I'm a teacher or getting ready to work, I'm not really, yeah, I might be listening, but I'm my mind's on lots of other things. So I said, you know what? I think I will start releasing lessons with Wesley on Sundays from now on. So folks, look for it on Sundays. That way you do have a little time to maybe sit down or with a journal or notepad or have your cards ready if you too like to do a tarot or oracle for an extra divination. So I think Sundays might be better, and that way that gives you a chance to maybe sleep on it, do a ritual or something, and you know, to get ready for the upcoming week. So that is what I will do. Okay. So, yes, the title of this episode is Discernment. Now, Nathan had his first, um, it was his first Sunday last Sunday at the his new position, and oh, it went great. Lovely place, lovely people. Um, he did so well, and the pastor's sermon, and and I went with him obviously to support. I don't yeah, I don't really go to church much. Um, but that's just Nathan wants me to play or sing or do something. Um, but anyway, I went and support, and I'm going to mar too. I'm looking forward to it. But the pastor's sermon, the gist of it is basically discernment, but the gist was back then knowing when to separate the I guess the weed from the wheat or like the shaft, separating the shaft. Um, so they were the weed they were trying to separate is called a Darnell. And the reason I remember that name, because I'm I love Andy Griffith, there's an episode where Opie finds money, and Andy's like, look, if you can uh um just I forgot what it was, three uh three, four days or 72 hours, I don't know what it was. But anyway, anyway, the man ended up coming back, and Andy dropped it back off, and the man's wife was going, Darnell, Darnell, Darnell, Darnell, Darnell, and I remember like, good lord, did it was it really written down that many times in the script for you to say Darnell like five, six times? But anyway, so it was uh and the Darnell plant looks exactly like the wheat. So that was you see something that looks good for you, you need to be wary of it. It might look like it's good for you, or something that's gonna be nutritious or beneficial for you, but it's not, it's only that for itself. So that that's what the whole um that's what the sermon was about. And I said, you know what? That is what I am going to do too. I said, I love that. And and and then I got to thinking as um I was sitting there, I was like, ooh, because we're into this new season, season two of Lessons with Wesley, and so that so I'm like, that's perfect, coming into a new season of our life, my life, your life, um, coming into it with this new gift, or amplifying this gift of discernment, knowing to look through different eyes or points of view and looking at things just differently and having knowing when something might look good for you, but it's not. So positive, negative people that you work with. So, and especially me. I mean, this is a new not even uh not just a new season of lessons with Wesley, but good lord, this is a whole brand new season of a job. So I really need discernment, and I'm pretty good. I usually kind of have a pretty good sixth sense about I meet someone, I'm like, mm-mm. Nope, scratch you off my list. Just something there, and just if I could put my finger on it, I could. Then I would have to wash it. That's what Sophia said on Golden Girls. But so I'm talking about discernment. I am in a brand new school, brand new state. I mean, I lived here in Hattersburg, but a brand new place. I got lots of people. My discernment gift needs to be kicked up. So, anyway, that that's my whole point. So that was my whole um intention and energy behind the card pool. So before we um excuse me, just a second, let me have a little swig of water. So before we get in our, you know, get in our headspace and get in a meditative space, uh, state of mind, I wanted to share about the new Oracle deck I got. I was so excited. Uh Nathan and I went to um Books a Million the other day, not sponsored. We went to went to there and looking around, and I was just like, just looking in that section, not really wanting to buy anything. But man, this one just what do they say? Did you thank it? Did you say thank jumped off the shelf? You are right. Good job, kiss your brain. There you go. But this one just jumped off the shelf at me, and it is it's an Egyptian oracle deck uh deck. So this is the Egyptian Star Oracle, and it is by Travis McHenry, and it came with the um and it came with the eye of Horace and Eye of Hor. And it's a really cool amulet. I just kind of have it sitting amongst my uh stones and crystals and rocks. It's on my altar right now. But the eye of Horace, there's a story about his eye being plucked out and then restored and made whole. So that that's what the eye stands for, seeing things clearly, more clearly. Oh, and then all there you go, seeing things more clearly now ties in with discernment, doesn't it? Awesome. Um, and the and the so the amulet stands for protection and rejuvenation and wholeness. So that's what that stands for. Well, all right, y'all. Well, if you're listening to this on Sunday, I hope the rest of your Sunday goes well. And y'all, I hope this uh Lessons with Wesley's episode and the rest of them to come out there in the quantum. I hope they get you ready for the week coming up. May our discernment be true. May we be able to separate the wheat from the weed. Looking for that Darnell? Darnail! Darnell!

Y'all don't hate me. Okay, here we go. Y'all ready? Okay, here we go. So I shuffled the cards like I always do. Of course, before I lit my Palo Santo wood, and I got into like, you know, I called in my spirit guides, my astral companions, my higher self. I just called in my earth dragon, Teranok, to protect me and keep me safe. So if you wanna, as you're breathing in through your nose and holding it for four and out for four, do that a few times. As you're thinking and being mindful, calling in your protection, whomever you want to call in, go ahead and just do that right now and just and keep that intent. If your intent too wants to be discernment, maybe you have a certain situation going on that you need some extra extra discernment or to give a little bit more thought towards. Keep that in mind as you're breathing. So the card pull is the nephthys. This is one of the god cards. So nephthys, this is it says E colon Dephi birth of Nephthys. Card meaning the security offered with this card is the gentle nurturing security of an infant in its mother's arms. It means you will be safe and unafflicted by troubles. If Nephthys appears in a reading with her sister Iris, representing salvation, this is an extremely fortunate pairing. The best in the deck. It means good things are coming your way, and that the dual influence of these goddesses is upon you. And the nephthys card stands for uh security, and it also says the goddess Nephthys, she's the goddess of childbirth and um and mourning. So the history a little bit, it says Nephthys was the goddess of childbirth, and she kept her children secure with a safe home. The daughter of Nut, the child or newt, the child who was in his nest, the glorious falcon who is in his nest. So if any of that rings true, or some little koinky dink, what I'll call a coincidence, something about a bird or a nest or a falcon. Um says now I haven't I've only used these cards once before. It has something in here, it says ritual. Like Isis, Nephthys may be invoked for protection and for a general request. She is also a healer and has concern for the welfare of children and new mothers. As the goddess of beer, drinking alcohol was a traditional way to connect with Nephthys, and this may be done with a ritual invocation to her. Okay, so well, y'all, let's have a little ritual for Nephthys. Have a little drinkle doodle-doo, as he said on Modern Family. Oh my goodness. Well, y'all, that is the card pool. Nephthys. So I hope, I hope this card pool has spoken to you. I hope you've received something, or I hope you were able to dwell on this for the rest of your day. Discernment. Nephthys. Alright, about childbirth and protection. So what do we need to be seeing clearly here? So it sounds like we're gonna be protected by two Egyptian mothers. Alright. I'll accept that wonderful, that wonderful blessing they can pour on me right now. Um but anyway, I hope the rest of y'all's week goes great. I hope you've, like I said, enjoyed this. Obviously, if you've enjoyed it, please share it. Just do that like, just that press the hot dog there, those three dots, and just share it with someone. Y'all, I wanted to do something. Uh, the way I post this is via Buzz Sprout. That's the the platform that I use to get these out to all the different places. Buzzsprout.com. They have something on here called location, and I can click on all episodes to see all the different countries and territories that have downloaded some episodes, and it goes in order from the most to the least. So I I got some music going. This is something that I always kind of have in the background. Something I created on Ableton Live. But I'm reading through these countries now. Obviously, I want to bless blessings for everyone, you know. Reiki Universal Energy, may everyone be blessed. But I said, you know what? I'm gonna do something different here. I want to do something. I'm gonna go through this list here and just speak an extra blessing. Maybe it be something for the week, maybe something with discernment. I don't know, and you know what? I don't have to know. Their spirit guides can know, and may that Reiki energy go where it is needed.
