Episode Summary:
In today’s episode of Wake Up, My Daughters: A 7-Day Return from Drift, we turn our attention to the heart. Spiritual drift often begins quietly—not with rebellion, but with hearts growing less responsive to God’s voice. Using the story of Eli’s sons and Psalm 95:6–8 as our anchor, we explore the difference between a soft, attentive heart and one that has hardened over time. You’ll be invited to notice where your heart may be drifting and take one intentional step to respond to God today.
What You’ll Hear in This Episode:
- Biblical insight from Eli’s sons (1 Samuel 2:12–17, 22–25) and the warning of drift
- Anchor Scripture reading from Psalm 95:6–8
- How drift can quietly happen even in faithful routines
- Guided reflection to notice where your heart may need softening
- A practical, short action step to respond to God today
Scripture Focus:
“Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if only you would hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as you did at Meribah, as you did that day at Massah in the wilderness.” — Psalm 95:6–8
Reflection Prompt:
Pause and reflect:
- How am I responding when God speaks?
- Where might my heart be drifting, going through motions without true engagement?
- What small, intentional step can I take today to respond to His voice?
Action Step:
Today, choose one moment to respond to God’s voice intentionally:
- When you sense a nudge to pause, pause
- When Scripture comes to mind, return to it
- When you feel prompted to pray, pray immediately
