Monday Night Raw. This is gonna be a really quick episode, by the way. I know if you're tuning in and you want to hear a lot more, you're gonna get our review of WrestleMania all next week. Uh everything that I've done that I'm doing out there in Vegas, and uh and white people are upset at me too. We'll get to that in just a couple minutes. Um, all right, so let's go ahead and down Monday Night Raw. I I think one of the big takeaways from Monday Night Raw was Oba Femi really kind of speaking for the first time and and building up. I think you know it's funny because I've seen a lot of different podcasts and shows on YouTube that are saying that this match itself doesn't really even need anything, it's already built up so big that this is the one that you know people are waiting to see.

Your thoughts on this goosebumps, right? Goosebumps. The second that he grabbed the mic, I'm like, he's about to have his career defining moment. Yeah, and he did. And I was watching, but I was also watching Hunter Triple H to in the back. And he just I'm sorry, he looked like a proud parent because remember, Hunter was the one that basically found him through NIL, the next in line through um WWE Recruit and going to campuses from Alabama. Um, he basically found Oba, he invited him to do the PC, and he helped make the wrestler and superstar that he is today. So he was thrilled, but watching that back, listening to what Oba had to say, wow. This just wow. Wow, wow, wow.

It was amazing, but you bring up Hunters, like how many times do we need to see Hunter? Like, I don't, I'm tired of seeing Hunter for the fourth time in a row.

I know, but remember this this class, this so I'll look at it this way this this class that's up now, and when I say the class, I mean the Oba, the trick, Javon. These are people really that well, maybe not so much Javon, but even like Last Legend, these are the people that Triple H found. These are the people that were in NXT when Triple H was still kind of in it. I think uh Shawn Michaels had slowly taken over at this point. But these are a lot of the people that Hunter went out, he scouted, he brought in, he invited them in, um, and kind of helped just show them the the way of WWE and how to turn them from NXT or even I don't know if they ever got too evolved, but I think it was straight from to NXT or from M NXT straight to the main roster.

But here's the thing you have to remember like how many times did Vince McMahon intervene in one of the big matches? You never saw him jump in for CM Punk and Taker, you never saw him jump in for Taker and Sean, you never even saw him for you know uh I'm trying to think Hogan and Rock. You know? So it's like you have to remember that's a new era. And that's the thing too. It's like dude, Triple H, people are hating you. Just stay in the back. That's the thing. If you stay in the back, I think that people will be okay with it because you know, the more FaceTime and screen time that you're giving yourself, the way that fans are looking at it could be the fact that you're taking away the spotlight from somebody else. And it needs to be all about you.

See, I I feel like Vince did that back in the day. Vince Mr. McMahon was the character, and obviously Vince is the person. So Mr. McMahon was on camera a lot. So you could say he was taking the spotlight away from other superstars at that at that time. I feel like Hunter's not doing that too much because Hunter's obviously he can't wrestle anymore, but he's not throwing himself in the matches. He he's around, and I think the more and more we hear about this whole TKO thing, I think more fans are realizing a lot of the shit that's gone down lately. It's not Hunter's fault, it's not Cody's fault, it's not Pat McAfee's fault. Yeah, it is, it's not Orton's fault. This is basically TKO. Hey, we're paying your bills, this is what we want, you're gonna do it. And I think more and more people are are learning that, and maybe they might be giving Hunter some slack. I know I am at this point after seeing everything has come out lately. I'm not. Damn, that's where we differ. All right.

Yeah, and and and I will just speak on this real quickly. You go back to saying Mr. McMahon, Mr. McMahon was a character that helped bring the ratings up. So he was on there weekly, uh if not like multiple times. But yes, he did take the spotlight away from others, but Triple H is just in the ring and he's just there. It's like you don't need to be there. You I would have been happier with Adam Pearson, a bunch of security guards.

I get you. But remember when it turned into basically the Triple H era, whatever it was, two years ago or After Mania, people were loving because he was booking everything that was the way that fans wanted it to be booked.

In four, yes, for WrestleMania 40. I think after that, I think it was basically Hunter's show. Um, and I think he was doing a lot there, and people were really appreciating everything he was doing in the product he's bringing to the TV screens. I think once the deal with TKO happened, when we that's when we really started to see that turn. And I think now, as of eight you know, February, March, April of 2026, we are slowly realizing that no, every all these storylines, Hunter, W, they're starting them, but TKO is calling the shots. They said, no, uh, we we don't want that, you know, we don't want maybe Kevin uh Kevin Owens on the on the on the phone with uh with Brandy Orton. Let's make it Pat McAfee.

Yeah, because the star power, quote unquote. Um speaking about the main main events, uh the main event for night number two, uh Roman Reigns and CM Punk, they squared off in the middle of the ring going toe-to-toe with their words. Your thoughts on the promos that were given by both men?

Not what I expected. I don't think anybody expected them. I yeah, horrible. Um I I also don't think there was anywhere else for them to go. They they have been at each other's throat, they've said a lot of shitty things to each other, they've been fighting. So why not have the last one be uh I apologize? I hate you because I envy you, and so on and so forth.

Where where else were we going? We we know their backstories, but I think in the way that they spun this, is like they're almost looking at these people that may have been tuning into Raw for the first time before catching WrestleMania on ESPN because you heard more backstories about Roman and how he kind of came up, and same with Punk. Yeah, Punk didn't have that silver spoon, he went through the indies. Roman was brought up in the company because of his family, so it was almost like a backstory, though, is for maybe not your typical WWE viewers.

Well, you definitely have to check out Roman's Instagram and social media because he did deliver a promo there on I believe it was yesterday, it dropped and and he's pretty much just saying that he's gonna end punk and uh how much more he does hate him. And he I can't remember word for word, but I heard it and it was actually a really great promo. And and the way he ended it was amazing. And I'm thinking to myself, like, how come this wasn't in front of a live audience? Because this could have spoke volumes compared to him being in his car and doing a promo. Clickbait, yeah, clickbait, yeah, and that's what it is, and that's what we have to realize, but at the same time, I'm like, man, this would have been so good, so good.

Um, and that's we have that clickbait, and I don't know if we're gonna get into it like super quick, where um this whole Pat McAfee, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton were McAfee is bringing this to the Pat McAfee show on ESPN. Right. He had the title uh over his shoulder live on ESPN where he I broadcast and also the channel. And then of course, um the other day they had Cody breaking in. Uh yes, quote unquote breaking in. Yeah, destroying it, uh ripping the title, uh patting the little uh the mopper guy, the security guy on chess, and he walked out. And they're they're bringing the storyline to ESPN and they're bringing it to the people that don't typically watch.

So yeah, they're trying to capitalize on whatever they can at this point. It's almost like I feel like they're throwing shit to the wall and whatever sticks sticks because I think that they need this because the ticket sales are horrible for WrestleMania right now. The right now, the projected date are I mean, sorry, the projected numbers were about 40,000 on Saturday, 42,000 on Sunday. And this is so low compared to last year and the years before. I think this they're saying that this is the lowest performing ticket sales in WrestleMania two-day history. So that kind of shows you exactly what they're doing. And maybe that is TKO throwing in too many celebrities. I mean, today we saw the rapper uh Cameron Cameron and uh Jay Uso get. I want to ask you about that. Go ahead, tell me.

It is what it is podcast, and he was taping it, and he him and Jay were going back and forth, kind of like you know, throwing jabs at each other, and then at one point uh Cameron told the producer or maybe co-host, like, why do you keep bringing me these talents? Like, isn't isn't when's the main event? And somebody's like, Sunday. And he's like, Well, then why are you bringing me somebody that's on Saturday? Like, you're not bringing me A-list talent, you're bringing me pretty much, you know, I I want Monday Night Raw Stars, you're bringing me uh Velocity star. You know, so yeah. So uh Jay didn't take offense or took offense to that and said, Hey, hey, oos, I'm out, oost, I'm out. He called everybody oost, by the way, on that podcast. Check it out if you can. But then he got up and he jumped over and attacked Cameron and you know, got on top of him. He threw a punch and Cameron was knocked out.

Uh Jay was on, I think, another podcast um shortly after that, and they did quickly ask him about that, and he just said, you know, I felt I felt uh disrespected. I told him to be uh I told him to be to be respectful, yeah, and he wasn't. So you know, and that's kind of and that was that was the whole thing. So now you told me a photo coming out, I'm like, God damn it, because I wanted it to kind of be real.

Uh Darby Allen is your new AEW heavyweight champion defeating MJF and what some of them are calling a squash match. Did you happen to see any of this? Did you catch it?

I saw the highlights um because I I saw it on my Twitter feed, and I'm like, what? Like how what? Yeah. So I went back, I watched some of the clips, and yeah, I mean, I d I don't know why. Um I I think Darby had won some match to guarantee him a uh world title match. Um, and somehow, some way it was set to go on Wednesday night dynamite, not sure why it was on TV. Good for Uncle Tony over there. Yeah. And yeah, I mean, Darby Allen won. And I don't know why. I don't know if there's backstory. I don't know if something's up with MJF. Uh who knows? I don't know. Do you know anything? Yes, I do. So I know a couple things. Whatever it is. Always in the scoop. I love it.

Um and then the other reason why that I had heard that this title change also happened on a Wednesday because to take off some of the focus of WWE and WrestleMania week and put a little spotlight on AEW, whether it could be good or bad. And a lot of people are upset because here you had MJF defending his title in all sorts of crazy matches. Remember, we went to Revolution with him and uh Adam Page and the Texas deat match, and then uh at the last pay-per-view, he defeated Kenny Omega, and so it's like you had all this all this hype, and then all of a sudden here comes little Darby Allen winning the championship. And so I know a lot of people are upset about that. I mean, it I think it's fitting, it's the right time. I think why not go ahead and do it because yes, when else is he gonna get that title? Honestly, think about it. He'll never buy it. He'll probably never get it, in my opinion. I don't think he'll ever get it. I think that's the right time. You go ahead, you shock everybody to have that attention off of WWE for the week, even if it's just a small little glimmer for AEW, at least it's something. We wouldn't be talking about it. Let's let's be honest.

So I will say this as we kick off the WrestleMania weekend, people are upset at me. Gary, I don't know if you have seen this on our social medias on our TikTok or our Instagram at Towers of PowerPod on both. I decided to go ahead and help out the wrestling community. I thought I was doing something fantastic. There were so many different Papa meet and greets with wrestlers and superstars ranging all over the place in Vegas, Nevada. So I decided to go ahead and get a compilation of all those and make a list. And I posted it on our social. Has has the time and the date. Thank you very much for reposting that. You got it. And I got so much slack for it. Okay, not even, well, maybe not a lot, but maybe about one or two that were very upset with me. And one guy had in particular had said, he's all what's up with the errors and the the order. Okay, so I want to go ahead and say this. There were a couple errors on there because what I was doing was I was going through what I thought were reliable sources and postings, and it happened to be a couple of them were from last year. So I addressed that real quick. I'm like, hey, Damian Priest is not happening at the hotel, that was last year. Uh Bailey at the hotel, not happening, that was last year. So I kind of go, I I kind of like did some troubleshooting, but at the same time to this individual who said, like, hey, like, what's up with the order? I'm sorry, but it's like I just put some stuff on a note, I copied and pasted. I didn't care about the order. I was just trying to help out, and I went by the day. But yeah, uh, sure, one might be like in the afternoon of the first one, and the second one might be in the morning, and the third one might be in the evening, whatever it was. But I'm just like, yo, stop being so fucking picky just to fucking appreciate that somebody actually went out of their way to make a compilation so your fucking bitch ass knows where to go.

So the problem was I packed everything that I thought I needed, and then I started driving. And then I realized, and I'm by the way, I'm at my parents' house, okay? So full disclosure, that's where I'm at. But the thing is this, I forgot my Wing Eagle WWE replica title. So that means I don't have the championship that Macho held that I normally wear with this costume. Okay. But I came to my parents' house and I found this toy version. I don't think you can. I don't know if you can see the plastic version. Um that the Miz actually had in the real world. Uh back to New York, he has the same one. Um the wing eeled. So I can take out this plastic janky looking one that's falling apart and has uh dog hair all over it. Or I can find uh, I believe I have my big gold, uh the WCW esque replica um championship that I have here and wear that one. Which which title should I wear?
