Alright, everybody, welcome back to another episode of the Towers of Power, a Pro Wrestling Podcast. I am Hollywood Chris, otherwise known as Chris Martinez, and joining me right now is absolutely nobody. Gary and Brian are both working right now, and so I decided to go ahead and drop this podcast on my own. Why not, right while we're here? Because SummerSlam is happening this coming weekend, Saturday and Sunday, live from Minneapolis, Minnesota. We are talking about a huge card. We will run that down in just a couple minutes. Also, I do have an exclusive interview. We kind of teased it last week on the show, or two weeks ago when we had our last show, which was uh the interview that I did with Paul Heyman. So this uh dates back to the year 2012. Myself and the the uh the advocate Paul Heyman back then uh was managing Brock Lesnar. So we will go ahead and jump into that in just a couple minutes. We do have to talk about what's happening in the world, the professional wrestling, because there is a lot of stuff that you need to know happening right now, including what's happening at SummerSlam, the rumors that are people are leaving, possibly, maybe somebody even left already. Also, who showed up at TNA, who showed up at AEW, and so much more. Plus, we're gonna get to that interview nonstop. But one thing we do have to go ahead and cover is that Comic Con happened here in San Diego. A lot of new releases from Mattel and uh AEW as well. So WWE and AEW drop new figures. So you could go ahead and go on to our Instagram at Towers of PowerPod. Go ahead and check out all the stuff that happened that I just happened to stumble on when I was at Comic-Con this past weekend in San Diego. It was amazing. There were so many great things, so many new figures coming out. So if you're a collector, you definitely want to check it out. The very first time that we are seeing Cindy Lopper drop her own figure in the line of WWE, it was super cool to see that. She is coming out also with the old school LJN type of figure. So not only that, but there was the exclusive Comic-Con figure that included her, Captain Lou, and Roddy Roddy Piper in what looked like a decorative TV box. So that looked that was really cool. You jump on Mattel's website. I do think that they do have some available still, but check out our Instagram at Towers of PowerPod because we were there. We got to see everything up close and personal. You know, one of the coolest things was the the ringside collection of Don Mysterio coming out with the mask, you know, the John Cena, his last uh match uh gear that he had in his action figure as well. I'm trying to think what other other ones that kind of caught my eye. Let me just look through my photos because uh I will be posting these up. Uh Towers of Power Pod. Oh, there was uh sensational Sherry, if you know her, dressed in Harlem Heat. There was uh Shawn Michaels, uh, you know, when he had his little uh his little shorts, his little biker shorts on. There's a lot of Roman Reigns coming out, new CM Punks. Uh and the uh Bray Wyatt, the Fiend, is gonna have a three-pack with the Firefly funhouse that you're gonna get as the background. So all that will be coming up available very soon. LJN style figures, new Roman Reigns, the British Bulldogs coming out, Cindy Lopper, like I said, and also for the very first time in this new line of Mattel, the tag team of Bret Hart and Jim the Anvil Nightheart, the Heart Foundation. If you remember the LJN figures back in the day when they were a box, this is gonna be the same exact thing. That looks incredible, by the way. So check it all out on our Instagram at Towers of Power Pod. Posting that very soon. Uh, so also speaking of Comic-Con, not only was I able to book a big guest on a local radio show, but uh it was it was so huge. There was a studio audience for this as well. We're talking about uh Kyle Fletcher from AEW and all elite wrestling. He stopped by Rock 1053's live broadcast there in San Diego at the Margaritaville and and talked about like you know why what he's doing here. It was his first Comic-Con and how excited he is to be involved in the Comic-Con world and kind of what to expect. You know, they were kind of briefing him on things and how people were there. And big shout out to our amazing listeners, Noah, Oscar, and Maria that showed up to there. I believe Ishmael showed up as well. Ishmael and his family were actually at the Mattel uh panel that saw CM Punk, AJ Lee, uh Pent uh no, not Penta, Bray Mysterio, and uh Denhausen. And I'm trying to think Sam Roberts was there too. But I will say this. So shout out to all everybody sending me stuff and and really promoting the podcast. Noah talked to Kyle Fletcher about the podcast, which is amazing, and he had his Towers of Power um podcast sign that they made for AEW. So he took that there and he had him like hold it up. It was a great photo. I'll post it up as well. And then Ishmael told me that he actually had a one-on-one conversation about Ray Mysterio because he was wearing our our t-shirt, our uh powers towers of power pod t-shirt that he received at our first ever meet and greet. And he was telling us that, you know, I talked to Ray. Ray was like, hey, what's up with this shirt? Like, what is this? And so he was kind of telling him about like, hey, this is the podcast that my friends started, and like, yeah, I'll take a listen. So it was really cool, you know. Thank you so much to everybody, you know, really supporting the podcast, just listening, downloading it, like I said, sharing it, doing all that fun stuff, and giving me feedback as well. You know, anytime that you want to go ahead and chime in, feel free to at Towers of PowerPod on IG, send me a DM. Oh, one other cool toy that is coming out action figure, I should say, not toy, action figure and collectible, is gonna be the the the two-pack of CM Punk, AJ Lee with Larry the Dog. So that's gonna be a Mattel exclusive. We don't know exactly if it's gonna be Ringside Collectibles or what exactly, but it is the ultimate edition figures of those two for the first time. Alright, so I mean Comic-Con was great, so many superstars were in town for that, but then we have to go ahead and jump into what happened Saturday night's main event. You know, the biggest rumor out there was Bailey is done with WWE, and we don't know if this is true or not because she did lose to Lyra right there in Madison Square Garden, and a lot of people were saying this was her farewell. You know, she posted a very emotional post on Instagram with her sitting behind uh or right in front of the MSG wall and kind of just like looking up into the sky, and people were commenting, don't leave, I can't believe you're doing this. There was a lot of WWE superstars uh currently that were saying, like, uh like don't let this be the end. So the lot of rumors that she is gonna be done with WWE and that she will be showing up in all elite wrestling because her best friend Mercedes Monet Monet is there, and we do know they do have history, so we don't know if it's a fact or this all is, you know, they like to go ahead and swerve us every now and then. Remember Seth Rollins, you know, about the the leg and stuff like that. Speaking of which, that is on WWE Unreal. If you haven't started watching that, I have not really caught up on Unreal this year uh or this season. I can say I don't know what it is because I'm hearing so many different things about Unreal. Because obviously you want to go ahead and believe that it's real, that it's this is true behind the scenes, but if it was, then they wouldn't be mic'd up. Let's just be honest, they are mic'd up for a reason. They want you to go ahead and see what they want you to see. It still is a produced show at the end of the day. Hate to burst your bubble, but at the same time, I'm just like, man, I really wish it was raw and uncut, but that's not what we're gonna get. We're gonna get the produced elements of what they want you to see. That's why it's like, you know, we're seeing you know Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green at their house talking about his toy collection. That's why we're seeing certain things and certain cameras following each other because they want you to go ahead and have this idea of whoever they might be pushing, or maybe it's like, hey, you're not getting a push, but we're gonna feature you on real. So, you know, maybe that's a little of like, hey, you're you're working very hard. Obviously, we can't give you the TV time of a Raw or SmackDown or NXT, but we could go ahead and showcase you in this limelight, which is a different way to connect with the audience. So that could be the way that they're selling it to some of these wrestlers. You know, CM Punk says he's not a fan of it. Paul Heyman, my guest later on, said that this is not and he's not a fan of it, that he hates it, but he's gonna do it because that's what the company wants, and TKO, that's their that's their thing, that's what they want to do. So Unreal, check it out on Netflix. I still gotta catch up. If you have any recommendations or maybe something that I should watch, or maybe I should something I should be like on the lookout for during Unreal, let me know. That's Hollywood Chris on IG. Also, speaking of which, you know, um Dark Side of the Ring has come back out, and there's there's a great one. If you haven't caught up on Dark Side of the Ring on Vice, you have to go ahead and see the Jeff Jarrett TNA history and seeing how everything unfolded from Jeff leaving WWE, and at the time he was just unhappy and he wanted his own thing. And finally, when the merger happened with WCW, he went back over to WCW, got cut, he got fired, went live on TV, and then started TNA wrestling. And just hearing the birth of all that and where Dixie Carter comes in, and a little fun story about that, was TNA wrestling was in Irvine, California, doing a show at uh the University of Irvine, and it happened to be right there on the college campus. I got a ticket, and I remember that day because not only was it I think it was lockdown, or I can't remember which pay-per-view it was, but it was a pay-per-view that was held there on a Sunday, and I believe that's still the same day. I want to say that I got the news that Eddie Guerrero passed away. I remember being around I I'm almost positive that was the same day, because I remember walking into the car, leaving the arena, and just being in shock that I got that news. Um because uh the news hadn't hadn't made headlines yet. And backstory about me, in case you don't know, I used to work with Rey Mysterio doing ReyMysterio.com and things of that nature with my friend Ed and Brian as well, who's on the show. And we were supposed to have dinner with Ray, Eddie, Chavo, um, myself, Ed, and I can't remember who else at the time. And so the everything was planned that hey, we're gonna do this, uh, we're gonna do this dinner. Unfortunately, the um, you know, our friend Ed suffered a loss, so we had to postpone everything, and the time was coming up, like, hey, we're gonna do this, hey, we're we're all in talks, you know, because I was doing stuff for Rey Mysterio and hey, let's all we're all gonna go out to dinner, we're all gonna hang out. And then I got the news about that, and then happened within like a couple weeks. So I just kind of remember being around Irvine and TNA. So I'm almost positive that it was the same day. But you know, don't quote me on that. You can look up Google if you want. But um, but going back to my TNA story, so my friend at the time uh told me, or he was working at the time, I should say, at one of the hotels that we're on Irvine. And he texts me, he's like, Hey, all your wrestling people are here at the hotel. And I'm like, What hotel? And they so he told me the hotel, I don't remember. Say we'll say it's like the the Hilton or whatever, I don't know, Holiday Inn. We'll call it the Holiday Inn. Well, I mean it's TNA, they probably have the budget of that. So I go over there and everyone's at the bar, and there's Dixie Carter. And at the time, I don't think a lot of people knew exactly her role within the company. So I happen to be at the bar, she came over to like where I was sitting because like there was empty seats, and I was like, Oh, hey, you know, let me introduce myself, blah blah blah blah. So I mean I'm really doing this pitch about me to Dixie Carter. I'm like, hey, you know, I would love to maybe collaborate and maybe talk about joining the team and doing something with media because I've been media for X amount of years, and I was still young at the time, and I'm just like, you know, I I could really help you guys out and grow and blossom and all this stuff. So she's like, Great, let's take let's exchange info. I got her email, she's like, email me next week, and I'm like, okay. So I'm I'm gearing up to write my email to Dixie Carter, and I'm and I go home, you know, and I meet other wrestlers too. So I go home and I write this email and have it ready to go. So the next like couple days, I was like, okay, all right, I think I'm gonna send it. So I hit send. The day after, immediately I hit send was the day they announced Hulk Hogan was coming to TNA wrestling. And I thought, well, there goes my chances just because I'm like, oh, there goes their budget. Their budget's blown. Not that I make Hulk Hogan money, but I mean at the same time, I'm like, they're probably gonna cut whatever they don't need, and thus being one of them was me. So I never had a conversation afterwards with Dixie Carter, but I think I do still have her email somewhere. I should shoot her no and just say hi. Maybe get her on the podcast. That would be something, right? Man, because Dixie Carter actually said no to Dark Side of the Ring. She did not want to be on that for whatever reason. So yeah, that was very interesting too. Now that I'm thinking about that, and also Kurt Engel did not want to be involved in that as well. And I wish that he would have. I really wish that he would have actually sat down because like you do hear that for the first time Karen Engel, um, or no, Karen Jarrett, Jeff's wife, who was previously Kurt Engel's wife, um, she talks about it because there was a lot of rumors that you know that she left him for Kurt. I mean, he she left him for Jeff, and that uh that she cheated on him and all this stuff. But uh, she tells a side of the story was no, they were already separated by the time that they walked into TNA. So she was more like his his life of sobriety coach and almost accountability coach to his pill addiction and alcohol, and she was just really there to kind of make sure facilitate everything was fine. So, and then that's when feelings started developing definitely check it out. Dark side of the ring on vice. Alright, so we do have to jump into some other rumors happening right now and other things that just made the news. Uh Motor City Machine Guns are all elite wrestling now. They are yes, they have joined AEW. So if you are a big Motor City Machine Guns fan, you are gonna be excited that they are now in AEW. So that's uh actually that was really cool just to see it. Just happened just a couple minutes ago, by the way, uh, or actually it was released on Instagram. Uh by the way, this is being taped on Thursday, July 30th. We are just two days away from SummerSlam coming back into the fold, right? And so let's see, let's go ahead and talk about SummerSlam. Let's jump into the card right now because SummerSlam to me here's my thing. I've been a part of a few SummerSlams by being press and media, and one of them was actually really cool. It was being uh it was the one with Triple H and Brock Lesnar when they went in the ring, and that was the time I think he broke his arm and whatever else. So that was really cool um to be there, and I got to experience a few SummerSlames because they were, I think it was like four in a row in LA. So to me, SummerSlam is very is very nostalgic, but we do have to run down the card because I don't know how I feel about the card. I kind of feel like the card's just being thrown together and rushed. You know, let me know your thoughts at Towers of PowerPod on Instagram. But let's go ahead and run it down, alright? We gotta have my old music writer, SummerSlam. You remember the song? Like I'm gonna say, man, it's SummerSlam. Alright, so here we go. Saturday, night number one. No, hold on, I gotta lower that spill. Alright, so there we go. So night number one with SummerSlam happening live on ESPN and of course Netflix internationally. If you're VPN, that's all I'm saying. Alright, we are looking at the Fatal Lines taking on Nikki Bella, Brie, and Paige. Night number one, yes, that is a six-woman tag team match. Then we jump into a six-man tag team match. The Usos in FOT 2, taking on Royce Keys, LA Knight, and uh Sokoa. Wow, that's gonna be interesting. What's gonna happen with the bloodline? I think, oh, by the way, the first match, I think Fatal Influence will probably win. I think they have to win, or if they give it to Paige, I think that'd be great, or Nikki's return. You know, one of those. I think no matter what, I don't think there's gonna be really any big losers. The Uso Zenfot 2 definitely will take this over LA Knight, but I think that LA Knight should have its moment. Along with Royce Keys, why not go ahead and give them something to go ahead and shine for? The Women's World Heavyweight Championship is on the line. Liv Morgan taking on EOSky, and I think it's uh I think it's EO's time, but I don't know, for some reason I think Liv will be the one walking out of SummerSlam, still the champion. The match I'm really looking forward to, and I know a lot of people are Gunther versus Nick Aldous. Yes, Nick is coming out of retirement, but then again, he said he never really was fully retired, and we finally see him in a WWE ring competing. There's been so many rumors that he was gonna be a part of the Royal Rumble in WrestleMania, but finally we are seeing Nick Aldous lace up the boots and walk into a WWE ring. Ah, but unfortunately, I you you gotta give it to Gunther. And the reason why is like you build up Gunther so much, and it's like for him to lose against somebody that's essentially, you know, semi-retired, I don't know. It's like if if they if they let Nick Aldous win, that'd be great. Every I think everybody would be cheering crazy for that. But if Nick loses to Gunther, I think you have to do that because you spent so much time building up Gunther, taking out Cena, taking out Goldberg, taking out AJ Styles. So, is Nick Aldous the next legend that he does take out? In my opinion, the answer is yes. We'll have to wait and see. That is night number one. Happening Saturday, depending on when you're here in the spot, guys, maybe even past. Night one at SummerSlam also continues with Hell in the Cell. Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi, that's Omar's brother. What's gonna happen when these two behemoths walk into Hell in the Cell right there in Minneapolis? A lot of rumors are that saying that Brock Lesnar, this is it for him. This is his final last match with WWE, and I think it makes sense because it'd be right there in his hometown, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Why not, right? Alright, who's gonna win that one? I gotta say, it's gotta be Oba. If this is Oba winning, this is definitely Brock's last match. Without a doubt. The WWE Undisputed Championship is on the line. We are talking about CM Punk defending his title against the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes. A lot of rumors about this one as well. Is The Rock gonna show up? Okay, so this is me also hoping that The Rock will show up. Give me one second. Excuse me. See what see what happens when I have nobody to kind of bounce off if I can't lower my mic? Just gotta do that. Anyways, I think that the rock will show up. And are we seeing the rock finally turning Cody into corporate Cody? If so, I think it's gonna be great. I think I think a lot of people are over Cody Rhodes being that that QB1. A lot of people are over tired of seeing him just being the babyface of the company. So now I think it's time that Cody does finally turn. And why not do it with The Rock? It'd be perfect right there. SummerSlam, that is night number one live from Minneapolis, Minnesota on ESPN. Now we jump to Sunday, August 2nd, night number two. Alright, we're gonna kick things off with the I don't know if this is by the order, but I'm just looking at the flyer, okay? So don't kill me if this is not the order. But the Intercontinental Championship title is gonna be Defender Penta is taking on Chad Gable in his hometown. I gotta give it to Gable. I think this is time for Gable to go ahead and shine. I think it's his time to go ahead and kind of put all those rumors to rest saying that uh he was not good as a solo person, that he can never make it. I think winning the Icy title will do so much for his career. Speaking of titles, the U.S. Championship title is on the line. Trick Williams taking on the returning and shocking reappearance of Baron Corbin. Yeah, um, that kind of came out of nowhere in my opinion. And I think Baron Corbin, I don't think he's gonna win. I think it's gotta be Trick. But I think it's a great contender for him to go against at SummerSlam. So I guess. See, I'm coughing again. See? Nobody here. Nobody here, just by myself. Uh all right, so Finn Balor, uh ticket on Sammy's Ain. And the this is gonna be the number one contendership for the WWE championship. Is it gonna be Finn? Is it gonna be Sammy who held the title less than like what four days? Something like that? One of the shortest raids in WWE history. I think, without a doubt, it's gotta be Finn Balor. Finn has to go ahead and get back what he rightfully deserves, which is the Undisputed Championship. Remember, he never really technically lost it. He had to relinquish the title, never really got that title opportunity once again, and I think after all these years, I think it's just time for him to go ahead and get that title rematch once and for all. All right, one of the biggest matches that is happening right now, and we do have to talk about what happened on Monday Night Raw. In case you missed it, there was a live concert on Monday Night Raw. Joe Henry Denhausen. Uh yeah, a lot of people have a lot of things to say about this. If you didn't see it, you have to just look it up online, Google it, YouTube it, because a lot of people are saying it was the worst segment in WWE history. I believe Coachman had even said that this is like watching WCW. The whole thing just did not hit. Um, was it as bad as what they're saying? I don't think so. I think a lot of people were judging so quick, but I think like I see where they were going. Did it miss the mark? Yes. But did it completely miss the mark? No. Log on to YouTube, watch it for yourself, the Den Housen, Joe Henry. Uh we will be cursed. I think I think that's how the song went. I can't remember. Yes, you are still cursed or something. I believe that you are cursed. That's what it is. Yeah, that's in the song right there. But Den Housen is taking on Dirty Dominic Mysterio. We all know that Denhouse will probably win, but I don't like how they're not using Dom correctly. In my opinion. I don't know. Alright, the uh interim WWE Women's Championship ladder match will be happening between Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stretton, and Chelsea Green with the mystery opponent as well. Well, who's gonna be that person? We don't know what's gonna happen in this ladder match, who's gonna be that champion right now? Because Rhea Ripley is on the shelf, in case you don't know. She is injured, she had to relinquish the title for right now. So we're gonna have this interim WWE women's champion. In my opinion, you go with Chelsea Green. Why not? She's earned it. I think she's worked the hardest. I think that'd be great to go ahead and surprise the crowd right there in Minneapolis. Sunday night, SummerSlam. And of course, it all ends with the world heavyweight champion, Roman Reigns, taking on Seth Rollins. This feud has been building for years. What is gonna happen? Are we gonna see? A lot of people are saying we're gonna see John Moxley, but I think Moxley is currently signed with AEW officially for a very long time. I could be mistaken, I don't know. But uh quite honestly, don't want to see Moxley. Don't think we need Moxley to be added to this. Do you want the shield to reunite and be one more thing? Eh, not really, in my opinion. But that is all streaming live on ESPN app with the ESPN Unlimited plan as well in the United States and Netflix everywhere else. Alright, so if you're outside the US, you definitely want to jump on Netflix. And don't forget that we do have everything up on our Instagram at Towers of PowerPod. We'll kind of we'll be reporting right there. So much is happening right now in the world of professional wrestling, like I said. I'm trying to think of the other rumor that I saw. There was a lot of other stuff that was happening right now. You know, um, if you're in the Southern California area, yes, WWE is coming back into town. Uh, they're in their their California world. They were just in LA, you know, they're gonna be hitting San Diego very soon. Oh, um, let's see. We are talking about Grayson Wallen, uh, Waller showed up on NXT and he got an amazing promo. You gotta check that out right now up on Instagram. I'm trying to think of anything else that we need to talk about before we get into this amazing interview with myself and the the advocate, the manager at the time, Paul Heyman. Okay, let me go ahead and tell you this. Alright, I think that's it for right now. We'll just jump into this podcast or this interview. So this was a never-released interview, and keep in mind I was doing media for so many years, and what happened was that uh there was no outlet for me to go ahead and share this podcast, but finally I'm sharing this exclusive interview with you right here, right now. So set the pill uh set the picture 2012 SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar taking on Triple H. And this was gonna be an amazing fight. Remember broken arms and all that stuff leading up to it. So not only did I get to interview, I was just looking at all the footage, because yes, there is footage of this interview, but it's myself, Paul Heyman. Uh, I got to interview AJ Lee, Vicky Ground, Dolph Ziggler, Seamus, the WWE tag team champions at the time, R-Truth, and Kofi Kingston. And I'm trying to think if there's anybody else. And leading up to that, I had gone to the WWE pre-party, SummerSlam party. That's where I met Triple H, Stone Cold, Jim Ross, Stephanie McMahon, Jericho. Oh, the Miz is also on this interview as well. But the interview that we are highlighting is Paul Heyman. And we were at Lucky Strike Lanes. I built my little set to look like a fun TV show. So I had my sign in the background for my radio station I was working at. On top of that, I had like a desk in front and like toys to display the new action figures that they were coming out of. I can't remember what they were. I think they were the uh Bashin Crawl or Bash and I don't remember. They look like old school wrestling buddies, if you remember those. So that's what they look like. There was a John Cena one and somebody else too on the other side. Oh, it's Randy Orton. John Cena and Randy Orton ones that I had. And so uh Paul Heyman came in. Keep in mind I'm representing the Ryan Secrets morning show. So my mic flags that I have, you know, the little the little like little squares on the microphone that show what outlet you're at. It said on air with Ryan Secret. Right away he stops me. And that's where we're gonna begin this not awkward, but I would say very um not controversial, but very engaging conversation between myself and Paul Heyman. Alright, with me right now as we celebrate SummerSlam turning 25. Where's Ryan Secrest? But where's Ryan Secrest? I'm Ryan Secrest? You're the Latino Ryan Secret. I can be. I mean, he works me just as much as people work him. That's okay. Okay, all right, but too bad I don't make that money. But no, Ryan, uh, Ryan is gonna be watching this, and uh actually we have a luncheon with him right after this, so he will definitely be watching. Okay, well you you can ask him right now. I'm asking about you. So with me right now, if you case you don't know who this is, this is around air gigs. I think he needs a job with you, Ryan.

SPEAKER_01

That's right. I'll Simon Cowell ain't no bad guy. You come hang around with me. That's exactly what's what I want to talk about. American Idol, would you would you want to be a judge? Would I want to be a judge? They should want me to be a judge. What am I auditioning here? Why not? Come on, don't you know these things? Let's go. Get up to date, man.

SPEAKER_02

So, okay, let's say let's say you were on American Idol.

SPEAKER_01

How'd that work out, huh? Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Look what happened with J-Lo.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, look what exactly. Look what happened with J Lo. See, hang on with chicks from the Bronx, man. This is what you get. Hang on. And with the New York Jew, those ratings go right through the roof. And in Israel, you have no idea that syndication you can pick up with me around. Wow, that was a great audition. I will have to say that. Do you want me to submit that to Fox? Please.

SPEAKER_02

Because that was unbelievable. I'm waiting. Okay. Have you done it yet? Uh no. Gotta get on the ball, man. I'm actually kind of trapped over here in the corner. That's all right.

SPEAKER_01

We're all trapped in a corner in life.

SPEAKER_02

That's a great metaphor, yeah. Thank you very much. I'm very philosophical at six in the morning. I can tell. And you've been up for how many hours? Uh three days. Oh, three days? Okay. I don't even want it.

SPEAKER_01

So, SummerSlam. At the Playboy Mansion. Have you really? No. Oh. But I dream about the grotto. Have you ever been? Drew Hefner, baby. Drew Hefner. Have you ever been there? No. We gotta take you. Anytime? Yeah. Let's go. We should. I'm sitting there banging on Larry Flynn's store. Oh, watching one on the front of me. You know, and I'm trying to you want to take me to Playboy Manson.

SPEAKER_02

Why not, right? We're in like Flynn here. So with me, Paul Heyman, SummerSlam, this Sunday on pay-per-view. Yes. Brock Lesnar, your client, taking on Triple H. Yes. What are your thoughts on the whole match and everything that's going down right now? Triple H taps out within 15 minutes. Within 15 minutes.

Within 15 minutes. Vegas odds? Bet the ranch. Bet the ranch. Bet the ranch. That's a lot. Actually, the ranch isn't that big. Bet the house. Bet the car. Bet bet the condo. Brock Lesnar will force Triple H to tap out within 15 minutes. The game cannot compete with Brock Lesnar. The cerebral assassin gets assassinated this Sunday on pay-per-view. Okay, so you hadn't been seen on TV in years.

SPEAKER_02

Right. And all of a sudden you you just came bolting down that stage, down that ramp and into the ring. How did it feel to come back onto WWE TV?

SPEAKER_01

I think WWE was very honored to have me. I think it was very fortunate of WWE to have me. I'm sure WWE felt great to have me come back on the air. I mean, let's be honest. Before Brock Lesnar came back, WWE just plain sucked, didn't it? And then Brock Lesnar came back. The first man to hold the NCAA Division I Heavyweight Wrestling Championship, the Undisputed UFC Heavyweight Championship, the Undisputed WWE Heavyweight Championship, the most decorated athlete in the history of UFC, NCAA, or WWE. And let's be honest, man, buzz around SummerSlam. Why is there such a buzz around SummerSlam? Brock Lesnar. Brock Lesnar. There you go. He said. See?

SPEAKER_02

I I already know this. Good. Thank you. You know, I'm just working off of you.

SPEAKER_01

There you go.

SPEAKER_02

It's truly an honor to guys. See, Mr. Secrets, these things can work out very well on American Idol. Very well. Very well. I actually can't. I can see it too. I can do it. I'm not lying. You shouldn't be. Okay, let's say let's say you had to sing a song on American Idol. Won't happen. Okay. I don't sing.

SPEAKER_01

Not even in the shower. I don't sing, I don't dance, I don't do hair products, I manage people like Brock Lesnar.

SPEAKER_02

And then with Brock Lesnar, you were in the ring with Triple H and his wife, Stephanie. Right. And she just slapped the out here.

SPEAKER_01

How did that feel? Wonderful. How many men in life through get to walk through their existence and say, I had Stephanie McMahon on top of me? The billion-dollar princess who straddled me like I was a pony and she was nine years old. I mean, let's be honest with each other. Who wouldn't want that? The nine-year-old or the pony? I don't do nine-year-old. So I don't do nine-year-old jokes for very PG. Very PG. The straddling is about as far as I push the envelope right now.

SPEAKER_02

So, SummerSlam on pay-per-view. And now, if if you could go ahead and pinpoint one match that defines SummerSlam throughout the history, what match would that be?

SPEAKER_01

The one that's going to happen this Sunday between Brock and the Buddha.

SPEAKER_02

I know you were going to say that because everyone else is telling me the same thing, too.

SPEAKER_01

Well, let me ask you this. Are you a fan of Triple H? Be honest. Uh I was at one point. Okay, and you think the guys had a great career? Correct. 12, 13, 14 WWE heavyweight championships, multiple time tag team champion, a legendary career that has DX and everyone's gonna be. Definitely Hall of Fame. Definitely Hall of Fame. First ballot Hall of Famer. Of course. If you ever want to see Triple H wrestle, you ever want to see him live, you ever want to see the man compete, this Sunday's your last chance. Because it's over this Sunday. It's done. This guy is gonna get beaten into retirement. Brock Lesnar will do the Triple H, the same thing he did to Heath Herring and UFC. He's gonna break his face, he's gonna take him down, he's gonna tap him out into retirement.

SPEAKER_02

Within 15 minutes, that's where this man is.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, if it goes 1501, big deal. You get the point, right? He's gonna beat him down, he's gonna take him out. That's it. If it takes 1501, you know, don't bust my chops about it. It's gonna tap him out. That's it. Heyman predicts Lesnar will tap out Triple H. The rest is 15 minutes, is just my prediction.

SPEAKER_02

The rest is back. I'm telling you what's happening. If it goes over 15, if it goes like say 20, I'm gonna be tweeting you. Like, Paul, what the hell happened?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but if he taps out, are you gonna really be in the well then my answer is gonna be he tapped out? That's true. Brock Lesnar took his time, tortured him a little more, wanted to see the animal wounded before he threw the straight through his heart and took him out into retirement.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So go ahead, tell everybody your Twitter, that way they can tweet you as this is going on. At Heyman Hustle. H-E-Y M-A-N-H-U-S-T-L-E at Heyman Hustle. And just for the advice of Brock Lesnar tapping out Triple H, you're welcome. Let's create a hashtag right now. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

What is that hashtag gonna be for SummerTam? Triple H taps out. I want to see that. Paul Heyman, thank you very much. SummerSlam live on pay-per-view this Sunday. Make sure you order it. WWE.com for all the info. And uh Seacrest, uh, he really wants a job. I'm just saying. Well, there you go, man. Mr. Paul Heyman himself, right? There's one, there's only Paul Heyman, alright? So it was so much fun just being there and kind of just talking to him a little bit. I talked to uh each of these people off camera, and it was just so cool. Just he was very nice, very humble, uh, very respectful, honestly, believe it or not. And so I'm sure he probably didn't want me to say that, but no, great guy, great interview, and I absolutely loved any time I could talk to him. And that was like the very first time that I talked to him. I ended up talking to him maybe like three or four more times throughout my career in radio, but that one to me was great because we're we're right there, we're face to face. Other times it was on the phone, so it was so much fun. Um, I will go ahead and post the picture up at Towers of PowerPod.
