Ariana:

Hello, lovely listeners and welcome back to the show. Do you ever feel like slowing down means you're falling behind? Like if you stop everything that you've built might crumble? Today we're talking about something that runs deep for so many of us, especially as women juggling careers, businesses, kids, relationships, work life balance. It definitely shaped so much of who I used to be. And we're talking about the hustle mindset. That belief that we have to earn rest, that our worth is tied to how much we do. That constant need to do more, prove more, and keep going, even when every part of you is begging for rest. You might have subconsciously built your identity around your achievements and how well you care for others. But the truth is that you don't have to earn rest. You deserve it simply because you exist. Now I am so, so incredibly grateful for everyone who takes a moment to share how Reclaiming Me has impacted them. And to show my deep appreciation, I have a special gift for you. When you leave a review on Apple Podcasts or a Podchaser, you'll be entered into a special draw to win your choice of either a private Reclaim Your Energy Session, which is a 30 minute experience designed to help you identify where your energy is leaking and how to begin replenishing it. And during our time together we'll explore the patterns that are keeping you stuck in burnout, uncover what your body is truly asking for, and create one or two simple shifts that you can use to feel grounded and clear again. So you can think of this kind of like as a reset for your mind, body, and energy. It's a chance to reconnect with your inner rhythm and remember what balance really feels like. Or you can choose the Reclaim Your Energy Digital bundle, which is a heart-centered collection of tools to help you rest, reconnect, and replenish your energy, no matter how busy life feels. Inside of this bundle, you will find a guided audio meditation to calm your nervous system and bring you back into balance, which will also help with your energy flow. And increasing your energy throughout the day. You'll find a reflection journal sheet with prompts to help you release overwhelm and tune into what your body truly needs. And a beautiful affirmation wallpaper for your phone with a couple different variations, which is a daily reminder to slow down, breathe and remember your worth. And this bundle is designed to remind you that you don't have to push to be powerful, and that peace is something that you can return to at any given moment. So this gift is my way of saying thank you for helping this message reach more women who need it. All right, now it's time to grab your favorite drink, settle in and let's get started. You are not too much. You are not too sensitive. You are not too late. Welcome to Reclaiming Me, the podcast for the woman who's ready to stop shrinking and start coming home to herself. Whether you're driving home from another long shift, walking your dog under a quiet sky, or trying to outrun the voice that says you're not enough, this space is for you. I'm your host Ariana Reinhart, speaker, coach, and your guide on this journey of undoing the noise, shedding the pressure, and rising into who you were always meant to be. This show explores what it really means to heal from toxic patterns, rebuild your confidence, and reclaim the love and life you actually deserve. Here we talk self-worth, healing, boundaries, power, and the sacred process of becoming. Because you were never meant to fit in. You're on the journey back to who you were before the world told you who to be. This is your invitation. Let's begin. Okay, so I wanna share a bit of my story with you because I know so many of you are living this too. Especially the women who are always giving, always striving and always showing up. When I first started my business, I thought success came from putting in like 13 to 14 plus hour days. I was exposed to successful entrepreneurs who were discussing how you had to be ready to put in like ridiculously long days. Be ready to stay up until 3:00 AM and then wake up around six or 7:00 AM and start all over again. They would talk about how exhausting it was and how you weren't doing it right, if you weren't doing all these things, if you weren't putting in the hustle and if you weren't literally working yourself to the freaking bone, to exhaustion. So I would stay up late and fill every moment with something productive. I thought that if I just worked harder, then I'd finally feel successful. It didn't matter if I was tired, drained, or uninspired. As long as I was doing something, I felt safe. I felt like I was moving forward. But what I didn't see was how that constant pushing actually disconnected me from myself. What I was doing didn't always feel aligned because I wasn't working from inspiration or co-creating with my spirit team and Gaia. I wasn't working with my inner child to bring out the fun and the playful side. It felt so serious all the time. And then eventually I ended up realizing that I was constantly working, but I wasn't really doing anything to move the needle forward. So, in other words, I was doing busy work. I wasn't feeling fulfilled. In fact, the harder I pushed, the more overwhelmed, lost and confused I felt. I was exhausted, anxious, and I was constantly chasing that next goal. It was like, okay, got it done now onto the next one. And I felt like I was never doing enough. But I was working from fear. Fear of falling behind, fear of not being enough, fear of not being able to have that success and to build a successful business. And the honest truth is that hustle culture rewards those fears. It praises exhaustion. It tells you that your worth is tied to your productivity. It makes you believe that rest is lazy and stillness is unproductive. But the cost of the hustle culture is huge. It costs you your peace, your joy, and your connection to yourself. It took me a long time to realize that rest isn't a reward for doing enough. It's actually a requirement for becoming who you're meant to be, and sometimes it's honestly the most productive thing that you can do for yourself. And I'm really good at understanding that I need rest in my personal life and that I need that time to replenish. But when it comes to my business, it took me a long time to understand that I can't push and push and push. I need to relax and allow myself to regain that energy and I need to learn that you know, like it's not gonna change anything if I don't get this done today. Some things, yes, but I don't need to get those 50 million things that I have on my list done. They're still gonna be there tomorrow. And I feel like, I feel like this is so common nowadays. Like we work and work and work and everyone's putting in more hours and then we're all feeling so burnt out, so exhausted. Like we never have energy. And overworking isn't just about ambition for many of us. Overworking actually comes from a deep desire to feel safe, seen and worthy. It's often about validation, about proving that we're enough through our achievements. It's about control, believing that if we just keep doing that, we can avoid failure. We're we cling to control because uncertainty feels terrifying to us. And if that's not the case for you, then consider yourself lucky because you are one of the very few who does not feel that way. But that uncertainty, it goes against everything that our ego stands for, which is keeping us safe. Our ego thinks that anything new, anything out of the ordinary for us is scary, and that it puts us in jeopardy. It kind of puts us into that fight or flight. And overworking is also about fear. The fear of being seen as lazy or uncommitted or replaceable because we're not providing enough. We feel like we're not providing enough and so we're scared that that's what everyone's going to think. So we stay busy a lot of the time too, because slowing down means facing the feelings that we've avoided for years. This is a big one. It means having awareness around our triggers, our flaws, and our vulnerability. And a lot of the times we as people don't like to be vulnerable, but that is actually one of the bravest things we can do. And if you wanna learn a little bit more about that, I highly recommend reading some of Brene Brown's work. She is absolutely incredible. Slowing down means sitting through the uncomfortability of learning and understanding those parts of ourselves that we're not necessarily proud of, like the shadow work, the shadow sides of ourselves. And in a world that celebrates the grind, that part of you that wants to rest, kind of starts to feel a bit like a threat. Like she just might ruin everything that you've worked for. All that hard work that you've put in could just be gone in a moment. But she's not the problem. She's that part of you that's trying to lead you to who you really are. She's trying to lead you into being able to express your authentic self. And healing the hustle mindset starts with compassion. You don't have to fight it, you just have to understand where it comes from. When I started allowing myself to rest, and I mean like real rest, not just collapsing on the couch after burnout, binging tv, something beautiful happened. I started to hear my intuition again. I started listening to the cues that my body was giving me and learning how to understand those before my body was screaming at me and creating ways to slow me down. When we rest, it allows us a chance to reconnect with our intuition. We make space for creativity, clarity, and inspiration. I noticed that my ideas started flowing in ways that they never could when I was constantly pushing myself almost to my breaking point. Because you see, creativity doesn't thrive in chaos. It thrives in that stillness. It needs that space to breathe. And I know that can feel uncomfortable at first. Rest can feel like you're losing control, but rest is actually how you regain it. Because when your body and your mind are nourished, you stop reacting and you start creating with intention. Right now, like if you're in burnout right now, then you're probably, you've, I'm sure got 50 million things going through your mind. Your mind is always on. You're probably always thinking about the next thing that you have to do, and wondering like, did I get this done today? Like how many of you sit up at night thinking about your problems or thinking about the things you have to do the next day or being worried that you forgot about something or you did something wrong? You sit there and you worry about all your problems and your struggles and all the things you have to do. Our mind is always going, and so we don't take the time for ourselves, for self care. It is so common for us as women to sit there and worry about like, you know, what do we have to do for this other person? But we're not sitting there worrying about what is, what should we be doing? I don't like using the word should, but to take care of ourselves. What is the best thing that we can do for ourselves? What does my body need? My mind need, my soul need in this moment? We need to start taking the time to replenish our own energy. Because when we don't, that's what leads to burnout. It's not always about working ridiculously long hours. It is about not giving ourselves that time to truly regain our energy. And the more you can activate your capacity to be passionate and to enjoy life, like really truly enjoy life, the more you're able to access your creative life force energy in its purest form. And that passion will allow you to have this creative force inside of you, as long as your nervous system is regulated. But if we don't do anything with our creative energy, it can actually start to invite in, like destruction or things that we don't want. Self-sabotage. And as soon as we believe that there's nothing left for us to do, to learn, to create, or like there's no new way to experience self-growth, or we don't want to experience self-growth, that's when our energy completely plummets. That's when that life force energy is not flowing through properly. That's when it feels stuck and like we just can't move forward. Usually writer's block or that feeling of being stuck is that we have this creative energy that we've been stifling, and we need to just let it out. We need to use it in productive ways. So if you've been feeling off or like your energy is really low, you can ask yourself, have I allowed myself to be in my creativity lately? Am I allowing myself to just create, just to enjoy the process, to have fun doing it for my soul's craving? And a great thing to do for this is to invite in your divine inner child to create with you. She will bring that fun and that playfulness. You don't want the wounded inner child, but your divine inner child. She'll make it more fun for you, and you guys will make much better creations together. Now, one of my favorite things to do in the summer is to go to the lake or go on a trip and just unplug. I forget about my to-do list, I live in the moment. And then come Monday I have a new sense of clarity about my next project. And that's the magic of rest. It opens the door to flow. Rest doesn't take you away from your goals, it brings you back to yourself so that you can create from alignment rather than exhaustion. It allows you to, like when you're creating from alignment, it gives you almost like this more energy, this bigger, deeper passion. Rather than making you feel tired. So I want to invite you to take a moment right now. Take a nice deep breath in and just sigh it out. Take a couple of them actually. Let your shoulders drop. Notice how your body feels. Loosen your jaw. What would it be like to trust that rest doesn't mean that you fall behind? What if slowing down was actually the thing that helps you rise? I want you to repeat to yourself. It's okay to slow down. And you might feel ridiculous doing this, but I highly recommend going and looking yourself in the eyes in the mirror and repeating this affirmation a couple times to yourself because it hits differently when we're looking ourselves in the eye and saying it. It is okay to slow down. Healing the hustle mindset isn't about never working hard again. It's about working from wholeness rather than from fear. It's about remembering that your worth isn't measured by what you produce, but by who you are when you are at peace with yourself. Okay, now for our self-worth shift today, I want you to reflect on this. What would it look like to work from flow, not force? Where in your life are you confusing busyness with worthiness or your achievements with your worth? And what would change if you gave yourself permission to rest without guilt? That's the key. Resting without guilt. Write these down, sit with them and notice what comes up for you. No judgment. Just notice. Awareness is where the healing begins. Okay, lovely. If this message spoke to you, I want you to know that you are not alone in this. So many of us are learning how to unlearn the patterns that once kept us safe, but no longer serve who we're becoming. You deserve to live a life that feels sustainable, that feels good and pleasurable and fun. Not one that constantly demands your energy just to survive it. Now, if you're ready to explore this deeper, if you are longing for an energy reset to just replenish your energy, I have resources that can help, starting with my free energy cycle tracker I created. It is a simple way to start tuning into your body's rhythms so that you can lead and create from alignment instead of exhaustion. And for the woman who still get their period, I have a page on tracking your energy with your menstrual cycles, and it gives you guidance on what is suggested to do, or kind of what to try to stay away from during the different parts of your cycle. It's honestly a game changer. And you can find this cycle tracker in the show notes. And if you're ready to start healing your relationship with work and rest, I invite you to join Lacy and I for our Break Free From Burnout Workshop. It's a space to reset your energy, reconnect with your purpose, and learn how to build success that feels good. And you can also find that link in the show notes. It'll be taking place around the beginning of January. Take care of yourself today. If you do nothing else, please take care of yourself. Rest if you need to. And remember that you don't need to prove your worth. Thank you for tuning in today.
