What if magic isn't something that you find? It's something that you remember how to see. Something that your childlike version of yourself knew so intimately. Something that we know so deeply if we just allow ourselves to take a step back out of the busy society that we live in and actually look around us and notice that we are living in magic. We are magic. We can bring magic into every aspect of our life. And we're gonna break down in this episode all things magical, all things whimsy, everything to embody in your life to make you feel like you're living in a fairy tale because you quite literally are. You are a miracle, and living this life, living this experience, living this version of you on earth is magic. So let's explore how to bring it into our life and ensure that we never forget that this is such a precious experience and we need to make the most of it. So, hello and welcome to the Good Girl Rebellion Podcast. I'm your host Izzy, the founder of Cyclica, and thank you so much for joining me on another episode. The Good Girl Rebellion is all about reclaiming your rhythm in mind, body, and spirit. Each week we are unraveling years of conditioning to reclaim our wild, rebellious, and intuitive truth. It is my mission to help women break free from society's expectations, help them reconnect with their feminine power, and live in alignment with the ebb and flow of our cyclical nature. So if you're ready to reclaim your power, reconnect with your wildest self and rise as the woman you were never taught to be, you are in the right place. Welcome to the rebellion. This is something that I feel like is really taking off on Instagram at the moment. Everybody's talking about whimsical living, being whimsy, bringing magic and just the whimsical way of life and magic into every day. So I thought I would share my point of view and some things that I do to bring more magic into my life and to make me feel like I'm living in a real life fairy tale. Because, as I mentioned in the intro, life is beautiful, life is something to be in awe over, something to be just so grateful for and to enjoy. It's not a burden, it's not something to be kind of bogged down with. Life is magic and it is beautiful, and it can be something so positive and so wonderful if you allow yourself to see it from that point of view. Because magic isn't fantasy, magic isn't something that lives in books and films and TV series and something that is outside of us. Magic is real, magic is presence and perception. It is the ability to see the meaning, the beauty, and the synchronicities in the ordinary moments. It's your ability to notice what's around you and choose to see the magic in it, to choose to see it in a positive light rather than seeing the negativity and rather than seeing the burden. It is your ability to go into nature, to notice the sunsets, to see the magical colours in the clouds, to notice the moon and how she shines every night, to notice the seasons, to look around you and see how the world comes back to life. In spring, for example, like in England right now, where I am, it's spring, and everything is blossoming, all of the birds are alive and flourishing and coming back to life, and the bird song in the morning is beautiful, all the plants are coming back to life, the trees have got green on them again, the flowers are starting to bloom. It is a really magic time of the year. But if you're not awake to the magic, you will miss it. So it's about understanding what is around you. Can you notice the twinkle of the sun on the ocean? Can you notice how the tree in your garden or out of your window is now coming into bloom? Can you notice how the so the bird song is more prominent? Can you notice how the sun is warmer on your skin? Can you look to nature and find the magic? And can you look at your body? Because your body is a part of nature. We are nature. And can you look at her and notice your cycles? Can you see your cycles as magic? Can you see how you go through this death and this rebirth and this re-emerging and reawakening and then retreating every single season, every single month, every single cycle? Can you look at that as magic? Can you understand it is nature's way of giving you an opportunity to restart, to try again to as well bring life into the into this world? Because your yoni, your womb, your cycle, they are all gifts from the earth, from the universe to bring another soul into creation. They are your gift and your ability to bring a child into this earth, and that is magic. The fact that you have the ability to grow a human being inside of you, and then the soul comes from wherever it was in the world, in the universe, it comes and it you birth it into creation. That is magic. Can you look at your intuition and notice that your intuition, this voice inside you, this voice that guides you, that is magic. That is your highest self talking to you, your future self, talking to you, giving you guidance on ensuring you follow the right path. And can you look at your emotions as magic? Because the whole point of the human experience is to experience everything, to feel every single emotion, the ups, the downs. Can you find the magic in your tears, in your pain, in your happiness, in your joy and bliss? Can you find the magic in every single feeling that you can feel? Because being able to feel is such a beautiful thing. Being able to cry and laugh with happiness and shed tears of sadness or tears of happiness, it is such an incredible gift to be able to feel those feelings. And then can you look at the unseen? Can you look at things like the energy of a person you meet? Can you meet somebody new and notice that your energy is really attracted to their energy? And can you just see the magic in the things that you can't see, the things you can't touch, those kind of pools you have to certain places, certain people, certain destinations in the world? Can you see those as magic? Can you see magic in the timing when you maybe forgot something and you had to go home and then it meant you had to make a detour, and then that detour led you somewhere, or this pool you had where you got on a plane at this certain time and you went to this cafe at this certain time, and then you met one of your soul tribe, or can you notice the beauty and the magic and the synchronicities in the coincidences? Because nothing is a true coincidence. Can you see them for the magic that they are and understand that you are exactly where you're supposed to be at every single point in your life, and you are learning lessons and experiencing things you need to in order to grow in order to evolve into the best version of yourself if you choose to follow that path? So, can you see the magic in every single day? Because there is so much magic around us. Children are a really beautiful example of this because children live in the magic, and we as adults are pulled away from that magic, we're pulled away from our intuition, we're pulled away from that kind of deep inner knowing and pull to do things that light us up when children do this so freely, and we allow them to do it freely. So, why do we not allow ourselves as adults to do these kind of things freely? Why do we not allow ourselves to express and play and create as we did when we were children? Because it's about remembering, not learning to find the magic, it's about remembering how to find the magic. Because magic requires us to slow down, requires us to be present, it requires us to be open, requires us to let go of the constant logical control we have on our life. Because magic doesn't make sense. Magic isn't something that you can put a label on, it's not something that you can get a hold of and control and manipulate. It is something outside of you, it's something that only allows you to see it when you surrender to the possibility of it. It's something that needs to be seen with an open heart. You need to be open to receive it, and if you open to receive it, you will be shown it. If you're open to see it, you will be shown it. If you slow down enough to receive it, you will be shown it. Because magic is what life feels like when you're fully in it. Life is magical, and when you allow yourself to slow down enough to see it, you will experience it in your everyday life because embodying magic is all about living in the now, romanticizing your life, embodying that kind of main character energy, but in a soft and grounded way. It's about leading with curiosity instead of certainty. Can you allow your intuition to guide you? Can you allow those pools you have to these people, to these destinations around the world to guide you? You might not have a reason to go, you might not know the next step, but can you allow your intuition to take you to these places and can you trust that the magic of life will unfold and you will know where you're supposed to go next just because you arrived? Can you let yourself believe that things are working out for you? Can you allow yourself to know that everything is happening in your best interest? Can you truly embody and believe that and know everything is happening for your best interest? Everything is falling apart so it can fall back together the way it's supposed to. You are lost because you are going to be found in the right way. Can you understand that everything happens for a reason? Can you honor your intuition as something sacred and not silly? Can you stop shaming it? Can you stop squishing down that voice inside your head that gently whispers for you to make the other decision? And can you listen to her? Can you allow her to guide you? Because allowing yourself to follow that guidance is where your life unfolds in such a beautiful way. And can you create space? Can you create the space in your life for magic to appear? Can you allow yourself to sit for five minutes and drink your morning tea or coffee or cacao and look out the window and notice the magic? Can you allow yourself to stop and admire the sunset rather than rushing from A to B? Can you tap into your senses and understand that magic is felt? It's not thought, it's not created, it's not controlled by the mind. It is felt in the body. Can you drop into the body and allow yourself to feel it? Allow yourself to be it. Allow yourself to experience it. So I'm gonna share some magical ways that you can bring more whimsical, magical essence into your life. Things you can do every single day to embody magic, to bring it into your life, to understand that you are living a beautiful creation. You are a beautiful creation, living in a beautiful creation. So can you embody these practices and can you allow yourself to slow down and experience the magic in life all around you? Because once you see it, you then understand that it's been there all along, and it's just up to you to embody this version of yourself who allows it to come into your existence, who allows herself to see the magic in every day and know that it's there, and love it and welcome it and invite more of it in. So the first one is romanticizing the mundane, romanticize everything. I'm gonna say that again. Romanticize everything in your life because life is magic. The thing about life is that we quite often live in a repetitive, unconscious cycle. We quite often go through the same routine, the same habits, the same things over and over and over again. And the rep with repetition, the more times you do something, the more unconscious you become, the more habitual it becomes, the more you lose that sense of presence and it becomes something that you just do because you just know how to do it. So can you romanticize the mundane? Can you turn your morning coffee into something beautiful? Can you allow yourself to sprinkle those extra little bits of magic onto your breakfast? Can you sprinkle some seeds or some edible flowers? Can you add a pinch of cinnamon to your cacao? Can you allow yourself to take a deep breath before you drink your coffee or eat your meal? Can you allow yourself to just spend one moment in that sunshine that's coming through your window before you move on with your day? Can you allow yourself to light a candle and set an intention in the morning? Can you play music while you cook, while you create? Can you play music while you're in the shower? Can you bring something romanticized into every aspect of your life? Can you spice up every mundane thing you have to do? Because life is repetition. Life is making your morning drink, making your food, doing the washing up, driving to work, going to see friends. Like it is a kind of as a repetitive, you do the same kind of things over and over, but can you bring more magic into them? Can you, instead of maybe going to the same place with you that you go with your friend every time, can you do something different? Can you do something creative, something playful, something joyful? Can you bring more joy into your life by romanticizing the everyday? Number two is can you spend more intentional time in nature? Don't just go for a walk in nature because it's like a tick off your to-do list and you feel like that's just what you have to do. Can you go and be in her? Can you go with no distraction, no phone, no headphones, no noise, just you and nature? Can you allow yourself to notice the details? Notice the way that the light hits the leaves, the way the sun shines through the green? Can you notice the smell of the air as you move through the forest or the fields or on the mountains? Is it different? Can you notice the smell of the ocean breeze versus the dampness of the forest? Can you notice nature? Can you notice the magic in nature? Because nature is inherently magical. Nature is, I believe, our greatest window to the magical world. It is our greatest reflection of how we view the world. If you go into nature and you decide to see the magic in nature, it's a reflection of the magic that you can see within yourself and within your own life. If you go into nature and you just see trees and plants and green and just not much at all, it's a reflection of how you see yourself. It's a reflection of how you allow the magic to show up in your own life. So can you go and find it? Can you go outside and find the magic outside to then in turn find the magic within you? Can you follow your intuition daily? This is a great way to bring more magic into your life. Even in the small ways, can you follow your intuition to maybe take a different route to work? For what to wear? Can you allow yourself to maybe just tap into your body and see how she wants to be dressed today? Maybe you don't want to wear the same thing that you wear every single day. Maybe you want to wear something different. Can you follow your intuition to see what you want to eat and what you want to drink and how you want to speak and how you want to show up in the world? Can you allow your intuition to guide you? Because your intuition is your greatest gift. It is your greatest guide in this life. And number four, can you create ritual? As women, ritual is something that is so yummy. It's something that's so grounding and soothing and brings us back into the present moment and back into our bodies, and it makes things feel yummy and juicy and not like we're ticking things off of our to-do list. Can you ritualize everything? Can you ritualize a morning routine instead of having a routine that you have to tick off and it's mundane and it's the same every day? Can you ritualize it? Can you allow your intuition to guide you to see how you want to do it and what you want to do? Can you have a collection of things that you might call upon and allow your intuition to pick each one you want from them every day? Can you ritualize your evening routine? Can you put your skincare on with care and love and maybe light a candle and do it in candlelight? Can you have a candlelit shower? Can you ritualize making your food and nourishing your body? Can you maybe bring in seasonal rituals or cyclical rituals as you move through every element of your cycle? Can you bring a ritual, maybe light a candle or have a cacao or do something to call upon the magic of your cycle? Can you bring in some rituals with the moon, with the seasons? Can you allow yourself to show up and do something, some kind of ritual, set an intention on every full moon or every new moon? Can you allow yourself to notice the seasons changing in nature around you and bring in a ritual in that part as well? Ritualize everything, make it big, small, minuscule, things that you might not even notice. You could ritualize, you could make everything a ritual, make it special. Number five is dress how you want to feel. Can you allow yourself to drop into the body, embody your highest self, and dress like her, show up like her, allowing yourself to dress how you want to feel is such a beautiful reflection of your inner magic? It's a beautiful reflection of how you see yourself and how you value yourself and the time that you are willing to put into adorning yourself with maybe jewels and beautiful clothes and showing up how you want to feel. Can you show up maybe flowy in a beautiful flowy dress? Do you want to be cozy in a cute like loungewear or PJ set? Can you be sexy in a really beautiful outfit that makes you feel like you're in a goddess? Can you allow yourself to reflect how you feel on the inside with how you dress and how you show up on the outside? And number six, can you add beauty to your space? Can you add flowers, soft lighting, textures? Make your environment feel like a sanctuary. It doesn't have to be sterile, it doesn't have to be minimalistic, it can be beautiful, it can be a reflection of you. Can you allow yourself to bring and collect anything you might find on a walk in nature? Can you create an altar somewhere you can put these items? Somewhere you can maybe bring flowers or crystals or gifts that people have given you? Your jewellery. Can you bring special sacred things into this space? Can you bring beauty into your space? Can you bring fairy lights maybe into the space to make it feel that extra bit more magical? Maybe a salt lamp to bring that really warm light, that warm glow. Allowing yourself to live in a beautiful environment then again is another reflection of you. You feel this beautiful environment, so you then embody this beauty within you. Number seven is can you look for synchronicities? Can you look for repeating numbers, for chance encounters? Can you look for the things that don't make sense but just have happened? Can you see them as little winks from the universe that you're on the right path, that you're doing the right thing? I know that every time I make a wrong decision or I ignore my intuition, I stop seeing angel numbers. And I know some people don't resonate with angel numbers, but it's something that I really, really resonate with. Like 555, 1111. They are massive numbers for me. And I know that when I make the right decision and I'm doing the right thing, I see them. I see them all the time. Like as I was recording this, I saw 222, I saw 111. It's like you can notice, you can see what you want to see, and you can believe what you want to believe. But this is again can you see those and can you see them as winks from the universe? Can you decide to see the magic in them? Can you decide to see them that you are on the right path? Or that you're maybe on the wrong path. Can you allow The magic to come out in every aspect. That maybe chance encounter you had with somebody who's now one of your closest friends or your soulmate, can you see that as magic? Can you see the synchronicities as the magic that they are? And number eight is can you protect your energy? Because your magic fades when you're constantly overstimulated or drained. Can you put yourself in a protective bubble? Can you allow yourself to hold the energy that you've created in your morning ritual and lock it in for yourself? Can you allow yourself to return to sender anything that doesn't resonate with you? Can you allow yourself the time and the space to check in with yourself and to keep your energy high and keep your energy protected? Can you put yourself in places that nourish you, that nourish your energy, that nourish you in mind, body, and soul so that you don't deplete your energy for things that aren't going to bring you any joy in the long run? This is something so massive in my life that I used to put myself in situations where I had to be drunk to enjoy myself. And then I realized that I don't want to be there. And if I have to be drunk to have a good time, then I don't want to put myself in those situations anymore, and I'm not going to show up. And yes, I lost friends through the process, but the people that remained in my life are the people who are always meant to be in my life. I believe that when you put yourself first and when you allow yourself to protect your energy for the things that nourish you, you will find those people who resonate, and those people who are supposed to be in your life will appear. Because you are never going to make space for what is meant for you if you're constantly wasting your energy on things that are not. And number nine is can you do things slowly? Can you walk slower? Can you eat slower? Can you speak slower? This is where magic becomes visible. This is where you can actually notice the taste of your food. You can notice the texture of it on your tongue. You can see the beauty around you. You can notice how that little pause in between when you say something brings in space for reflection. It's the moments between the moments that hold the magic. And that is something so wonderful. If you can allow yourself to embody that essence and allow yourself to be slow enough to see them and slow enough to share them. It's not just about seeing it in your own life, but when you have a conversation with somebody, can you slow it down so that they can see the magic? And number 10 is can you reconnect to your inner child? Can you allow yourself to remember what used to bring you joy? Where you used to find magic? Can you do something playful or creative, something pointless just for fun? Because this is where we find our true happiness. This is where we find our creative spark. And usually where you can find complete flow and those moments that you just tap fully into the creative flow of the universe and you can express yourself in ways that you never really maybe thought possible. Can you roll out your mat and reconnect with your inner child in maybe a yoga flow and moving in a more sensual, in a more creative and more expressive way? Can you allow yourself to paint something just for the sake of painting something or expressing yourself? Can you keep a diary? Can you maybe draw something that resonated with you every day? Make it like a scrapbook, stick in train tickets or receipts or little pictures that you found along the way. Can you do things that make your inner child happy? Things that bring you joy just for the sake of it. And number 11 is can you believe that life is happening for you, not to you? This mindset shift alone is everything, and it's something that brings so much more magic into your life. Understanding that everything is happening for you is the biggest shift you can have. Understanding that that relationship that broke down, that friendship that disintegrated, that job you didn't get, that thing that went wrong, that health concern you're having, those things are going to be your greatest gift. Because it's through these struggles that healing ourselves and coming out the other end, we then can share this magic and share this hope and share this joy with others in the world. This is a kind of random example, but like when I was away, me and one of my girlfriends got really close, and I had just gone through a breakup, and she was with her boyfriend at the time, and she saw me heal, she saw me go through this journey of coming back home to myself and healing myself from this breakup. And then she went through the breakup, a breakup of her own, and she turned around to me and she said she was like, But how do you know that it's gonna be okay? And I was like, Because I've been through heartbreak before, and I understand that everything happens for me, and she said that watching me go through that and knowing that I had such strong faith in knowing that everything was gonna be okay, gave her the strength to know herself that everything was gonna be okay, and everything has been okay. She's thriving, she is absolutely thriving, and this is the thing: everything happens for you. Those things in the moment they may not make sense, you may be down and heartbroken and sad and lonely and lost, but those negative emotions will be some of your greatest gifts. I know it doesn't feel like it right now, and it might not feel like it right now, but I promise you you will be able to look back in hindsight and understand that it put you on the path that you're supposed to be on, and it got you exactly where you are you needed to be, and it will be your greatest gift because everything is happening for you, nothing is happening to you, nothing is outside of your control, and everything in this life is magic if you decide to see it. So even the lows are magical if you decide to see them as that. Because magic isn't about changing your life overnight. Noticing the magic in your life isn't about just waking up one day and deciding that oh everything is magical and you can see it everywhere. It's about slowly noticing, it's about embodying it bit by bit and then allowing it to become your life, allowing it to be part of your everyday. It's about changing how you experience your life, about noticing it, and the more you notice it, the more it grows, and then the more it grows, the more it becomes a part of every single day. Because there is so much magic to be experienced in the world, but if we don't allow ourselves to see it and we don't allow ourselves to tap into it, then we will never notice it. The magic you see outside of yourself is a reflection of the magic within you. So allow yourself to see the magic outside of you so the magic inside you can grow. Because you, my friend, are a beautiful blessing and you are here for a reason. You are listening to this podcast for a reason, you are listening to this episode for a reason, and I truly believe that if you're here and you have made it to the end, it's because you know you hold a really beautiful, innate, powerful magic within you. So allow yourself to see that magic outside of you as a reflection because it is the magic you see in your everyday life is a reflection of what is within you. Because the magic isn't out there somewhere waiting for you, it's already here in the way you choose to see, feel, and move through your life. It is within you and it always has been. So allow yourself to bring it into your life and embody what it truly means to live in a magical, whimsical, beautiful existence. Thank you so much for listening to the Good Guy Rebellion Podcast.
