Mulroney shared personal stories from private meetings, international summits, and late-night phone calls with Reagan, which offered a rare insider perspective on the partnership between Canada and the United States during the final years of the Cold War. He also reflected on Reagan’s relationships with leaders like Margaret Thatcher and Helmut Kohl, and how their alliance helped reshape the Western world through free markets, deregulation, and strong opposition to Soviet communism.

Mulroney also opened up about Reagan’s personality off-camera, his humor, humility, discipline, and extraordinary presence, while explaining why he believed Reagan embodied the very definition of leadership.
