The Approval Trap Athletes Fall Into
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
🎙️ Many athletes wait for approval before they feel confident. They look to coaches, teammates, or results to decide how they should feel. In this episode, Tyler explains why confident leaders operate differently. They decide first. Their belief is built on preparation and identity — not reactions. When confidence depends on feedback, it fluctuates. When it depends on self-awareness and preparation, it stabilizes. The strongest leaders don’t need validation because they’ve already validated themselves through the work.
Takeaway: Confidence rooted in identity doesn’t need approval.
