I didn't think the Ravens had a shot at this, but you know what do they always say? Spins? Man, there's always a price. Whoever's gonna be the highest bidder is gonna get the, gonna get the sweepstakes. And there were definitely a ton of teams that were in the questions. Yeah. He probably said every team had a, some stock in Max Pro, but for the Ravens to do this, man, it, of course you have. Lamar Jackson. This is a team that we say should win the Super Bowl every year, and this defense was not performing at his highest, and to get a guy like Max Crosby to facilitate and be a wrecking ball as he is, the only person I feel sorry for in all of this, Vince, man, it's Joe Barrow man. This guy's gotta play Max Crosby two games. He's gotta play Miles Garrett, two games. He's gotta play. TJ Wat two games.

Yeah, that's definitely a huge get for Baltimore. It automatically puts them right back into the top two or three teams in the conference. Now that you've got a certified cornerstone on defense to build around Max Crosby, and he's still got plenty of football left. He's only 28, which is crazy. It feels like he's been around for such a long time. It feels like he's in his mid thirties, but he is 28 years old and he's going to the Ravens in the prime of his career. He wants to win. He's going to a historically great organization that, yeah, all they've ever done is really win. But what's crazy is, as historically great, they are. The Ravens did this trade, and it's the first time in their history that they used a first round pick to trade for a player, and they did it twice. They traded away two first rounders for Max Crosby. That's a guy they believe in and. Man, it's crazy. Can you imagine though, if Dallas had been the one to get him, what that would've mean for the Big D?

Dallas offered a first and a second. It's not a bad package, you just got outbid and what could have been, of course, would Max Croley would've, elevated the d the Dallas Cowboys defense. Yes. Because they were so horrible. But then as we would all say, why would you trade away? Michael Parsons, who was younger and maybe who you may have a ranked higher than Max Crosby and trade for Max Crosby. It wouldn't have looked, it wouldn't have made sense in the logistics, but at least it would've improved their defense for sure. I will say, Spence, we always talk about the teams that always received the star players. I don't know man. Hey, I like, hey, the Raiders getting out and not just, they're already number one pick, but they get the 14th pick man, so they could maybe get a guy, if not, maybe move back, and maybe get some more draft capital. Getting two first round picks this year and next year is nice, man. For the Raiders who can build and maybe be something in the A FC West.

You draft Fernando Mendoza first. Overall, now you have that 14th pick. That is then the perfect range for some offensive line help. That is the way you build an offense. You start with the quarterback and then you put protection around him. You already have guys like Ashton Gente. Brock Bowers to be your skill guys that can get open. Mm-hmm. We still need to figure out at some point what the wide receiver room's gonna look like. Yeah. We are recording this before free agency. But all in all this trade on the surface, I really like it a lot for both teams. So I'm gonna say this is a rare win-win scenario for both sides.

homie? But yeah, we thought the Raiders defense was gonna elevate to it. It just happens. Spence, I always talk about it. I probably wouldn't be an owner or a GM in the football, but man, when you're paying guys big bucks and you're not winning games, you gotta get, you gotta get out of it. And as much as I, you love to have Max Crosby box office selling jerseys, selling suites, at the end of the day, you can't beat three and 14 paying, your top player this much. You're, you mentioned it. They are several pieces away. Get rid of it. Build up this roster, and guess what? Maybe, hey, maybe the Raiders come back in 2029, man, and become the A FC West Champs. You heard it here, man. 2029 Raiders, man.

Yeah, I don't know. That's still a team that I need to see it to believe it, that their management is running this ship correctly. But I will say everyone hated on that management when they. Sat Max Crosby down and he was being real cryptic on social media and everyone was hating on the decision to put him on the shelf when they had no chance and they were trying to tank for this pick. I think we can honestly say it probably turned out to be the right move. If they knew in that moment that, Hey, yeah, he's done here, we're gonna trade him in the off season. And they did it before free agency really even opened. I don't know it's at least something that we should say, Hey, you know what? Good for them. They did right by their franchise and it worked out for them, at least in that regard. Yeah. Maybe Max Crosby leads. The Ravens to a Super Bowl has a strip sack fumble, return for a touchdown in the Super Bowl to win the game for them. I don't know. Yeah.
