The 99% Problem - Geology, Scoffers, and the War on Genesis

A new survey reveals that 39% of Americans still hold to biblical creation — down from 47% just 15 years ago. Kevin and Bill discuss the fact that 99% of PhD scientists and 99% of college classrooms are united against the Genesis account. The apostasy of geology has a history...and that has played out in the courtroom battles over creation in the public schools.

This is Generations Kevin Swanson with you, and here's a very enlightening survey conducted by the National Center for Science Education on what Canadians and Americans think about the creation or the evolution of man. Just released a few weeks ago. 62% of Canadians are evolutionists, believing that humans evolved from lower life forms over millions of years. And uh 20% of Canadians believe God created humans in their present form within the last 10,000 years. According to the poll, 22% of those uh polled that believed in uh creation were European. 21% East Asian, 19% Indigenous, and 17% South Asian origins. These were the ones who believed that God created humans. Well, 47% of Americans are evolutionists, and 39% of Americans believe God created humans in their present form within the last 10,000 years. Only 39% of Americans believe in creation. That pretty much accords with what uh Gallup poll has uh been looking at since the early 1990s. That number, 39%, is down from 47% in 1999. But we're about twice as strong as Canada on this basic epistemological issue relating to the Word of God. I've said this before, but America crossed the boundary. Americans tipped into the status of a post-Christian nation in 2006. I chronicled this in my book, Epoch, The Rise and Fall of the West. That's why now only 39% of Americans believe in God as creator, down from 47 to 49% about 15 years ago. Now, second question asked in the survey: do you think creationism, the belief that the universe and life originated from specific acts of divine creation should be part of school curriculum in your province or in your state? Well, 42% of Canadians said that creation should be taught, and 41% said creation should not be taught in the government schools. Among Americans, 51% say that creation should be taught in the public schools, and only 32% said creation should not be taught in the public schools. It's interesting that only 20% of Canadians believe in creation, but 42% would like creation taught in government schools. That means parents are okay with evolution, but they're not okay with godless education for their kids, at least to some extent. They're more concerned for their children's souls or a perspective of a metaphysic than they are for themselves. That's interesting. And yet and yet, 100% of government schools teach the evolution of amoeba to man as fact. They have no mechanism, they have no substantial evidence of transitional forms in the fossil layers. They've never established it by evidence. They have never repeated any meaningful form of speciation in the laboratory. No evidence, no science, and yet 100% of government schools teach the evolution of amoeba to man as fact. This because the U.S. Supreme Court made the ruling. That's right. Louisiana law was requiring creation science be taught alongside evolution back in the 1980s, but the high court ruled in Edwards v. Aguilard in 1987 that this somehow violated the First Amendment because it advanced a particular religious belief. In this case, the court included 50 references to the importance of advancing the religion of what they called secularism in the public schools. That was very important for the American approved-of religion at the highest of the courts of this land. The court insisted on a belief in science rather than allowing for science, quote unquote, rather than allowing for any possibility of advancing a belief in God or a creator. Godless science and godless education was mandated by U.S. Supreme Court dictate for all government schools. Then again, a federal court ruled in the Kitts Miller v. Dover area school district case that, quote, intelligent design is also not science for purpose of public school science curriculum and could not be required as an alternative to evolution. Well, 100% of government schools teach evolution in America, yet 51% of American parents still want creation taught in the schools. But tough bananas. Evolutionary anti-supernaturalism, that religion, is the basic assumption of 99% of working scientists with PhD degrees. According to Pew Research, Pew Research came out a number of years ago, about 10 years ago, 99% of working scientists with PhD degrees believe that humans and living creatures evolved over time. And answers in Genesis also. Recent survey found that 99% of college freshmen are taught old earth evolution in their college classrooms. This puts those who believe in young earth creation in the extreme minority, especially when it comes to higher education. And yet, still to this day, 39% of Americans still hang on to the belief that God created humans some 10,000 years ago, and 51% of American parents want their kids taught creation in the schools. And yet, and yet, only 6% of American parents would pull their kids out of these schools to homeschool them. Couple of takeaways from all of this. First, academia leads the apostasy. That's right, it's been doing that for 800 years. The universities have always led the apostasy. Ever since Christian Wolfe and the Prussian University revolt back in the Enlightenment days of the early 1600s, now 99% of PhDs, let that sink into you for a second. 99% of working scientists with PhDs hold to the evolution of man. And 99% of colleges teach the freshmen all about it. So where does that put biblical creationists in the extreme minority? So either the entire academic world has been given over to an extreme delusion or biblical creationists are extreme idiots. It's one or the other. If 99% of working scientists have effectively misdefined science, misapplied science, and misdirected science, if 99% of working PhD scientists define wild historical guesswork and computer modeling as real science, they've given way to the destruction of science and total irrationality. The Western Christian world has introduced the modern hard sciences back in the 1600s and early 1700s, useful as physics, chemistry, and biology. Now that's been ruined by the perversion of science in the modern pseudoscientific fields of astronomy, geology, and biology, and shall we add, computer modeling. Claiming themselves to be wise, they became fools, as scripture puts it. It's extraordinary. 99% guys and yet, and yet, American parents still want creation taught in the public schools. Parents who are on the road to apostasy, apparently they still love their kids and they don't particularly want to give their kids over to a thoroughly godless education. That's why American parents still drop their kids off for vacation Bible school during the summertime and Sunday school for the rest of the year. There's still some faint memory left in the American psyche that maybe God is a good thing. The question of ancient history and ancient origins can only be resolved by eyewitnesses. There's no other path to certainty here. When attempting to explain the history of the earth and the status of the earth's crust, the fossils and all the rest, one must be sure of his epistemological authorities. The order of authority must carry on in this order. Here we go. Number one, God. That's right. God's revelation has got to be the highest authority and render the highest certainty on historical events. God's inspired words give us the most certain, the most accurate, and the most reliable data. Number two, human witnesses. Practically every ancient culture renders stories of a flood of worldwide or epic proportions, hundreds of stories coming from the ancient Babylonians, the Egyptians, the Native Americans, and on and on it goes. All references to a worldwide flood. Now, the last authoritative source is modern science attempting to line up what is seen in the geological records with a scientific guess. There were no human eyewitnesses in 2348 BC surveying the Earth's surface, nor were there human eyewitnesses watching the surface of the Earth form over 99.9999% of the time over a period of quote unquote four billion years. Cause and effect relationships may be observed on a macro scale, but this didn't happen over the length of the Earth's history, whether from the old Earth or young Earth's perspective. Usually this is confirmed by repeated experiments or occurrences of the same event. But the geological guesswork is still guesswork. Some guesswork is better than other guesswork, but we must remember that it's still conjecture. Nonetheless, there are significant problems for those who believe the Earth's surface as we see it today was formed over billions of years. I want to summarize these issues in the form of some big questions as I wrap up. Namely, where does all this volcanic rock come from? About 75% of the ocean floor is made up of igneous igneous uh basalt, uh volcanic material. How does a 50 million ton rock fold in half or bend around another layer of rock? How does that happen? How do you raise a mountain like Everest from sea level to 29,000 feet, almost nine kilometers high? How did the entire mountain ranges of so many mountain ranges around the world appear to crumple up like a throw rag pushed up against a wall? How does the Colorado Plateau rise up 5,000 feet over 140,000 square miles? How does a tiny river remove 100,000 cubic miles of material from the Grand Canyon and surrounding area? And where did all that material go? Where is the erosion that would happen if each layer is subjected to the environment over periods of thousands or millions of years? And why are common sediment layers found across entire continents? And how did diamonds form under extremely high temperatures and pressures and then work their own little way up through the crust of the earth so we can find them? And how do fossils get buried so quickly within a day or a few days? And how do these fossils climb up to the highest mountains in the world, as in the top of Everest? The best explanation is a tremendous flood of water washing successive piles of sediments over these mountains over a period of days or weeks. Which model best explains this phenomenon today? How did we come to disagree with 99% of the academy of all working PhD scientists in the world today? Bill Jack joins me on this one. And it's interesting you brought this topic up because I just finished discussing this very thing in my class with my students, as I do every week here at Worldview Academy. It's a massive issue. This is the issue that I think is a foundational issue, and I believe the church has been complicit in allowing this pseudoscience, it is a pseudoscience of evolution to dominate the discussion on origins.

Dominate 99%, 99% of working PhDs and 99% of the academies, according to Ken Ham's uh uh surveys, 99% of colleges and universities uh present a distinctively old earth evolutionary perspective in their science classes. That being the case, Bill, it's still a surprise to me that they're though they have chipped away at the percentage of Americans who are giving up on the creation account as uh given to us in the Word of God, we're still at 39%. We're still hanging in there, 39%. Uh, despite the fact that the Emperor's New Clothes uh propaganda machine has been so effective. It's still a shock to me that 99 almost feels like a cartel that demands absolute um uh uh uh commitment to these uh theological and uh pedagogical systems. Uh that, you know, if if you if you if you are the 1%, you're out of the game when it comes uh to the academy.

I'm reminded of a good friend of yours and mine, Andrew Heaster, who for years worked on his PhD in epidemiology. And uh he led a lab for these are doctoral students and postdoctoral students. These are students who have their medical license and they're getting advanced degrees to do research. And he chose as his topic why science education is dying. And his conclusion was it's that we teach science as if everything is random, but we do science as if there is order in the universe. And as a result of that, his mentor, who is a personal friend of Stephen Jay Gould, who was the leading evolutionist spokesman until his death, she wrote on her notes, Andrew is a creationist, exclamation point, exclamation point, exclamation point, and she dropped him from the program and they offered him a master's after seven years of work. That is an insult to someone who is in a PhD program, but they will not broach even the slightest questioning of this doctrine of evolution. It is a pseudoscience. Both creation and evolution are models. You cannot test them scientifically. You can't repeat, study, observe the creation model or the evolutionary model as scientifically. They are matters of history, not science. Because you do science right now, you draw conclusions about the past, you make predictions about the future based on what you observe right now. So we cannot go back and study, observe, repeat, test origins. You can only draw conclusions about what you observe right now. And so they have bought into their religion their story of origins, and it is an evolutionary story, but it has become a unified front. Now, there are seven types of evolutionists. There's the Darwinian evolutionists, the neo-Darwinian evolutionists, the Lamarckian evolutionist, and they fight like cats and dogs, but they put up this unified front, and so it has even crept in to the church to the point where I believe the church is complicit because they will dodge this question on origins instead of drilling down and making sure that their people who sit in the pews rely on the word of God as their way of knowing truth, as their way of knowing history. In fact, you mentioned Romans 1, verse 22, professing to be wise, they became fools. And it goes on to say, and they exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. So they chang exchange the glory of God not for the object itself, but for the image of the object. They get down so low in suppressing the truth that when they do look up and worship, all they can see are sticks and stones. Paul nailed four civilizations in one verse. What civilization elevated man to Godhood? It was the Greeks. They had Apollo as their godman. And then it says they exchanged the glory, the truth of God and worship and serve the creature. They exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man, and then birds. What civilization had a bird as their symbol of death and destruction? In the 20th century, Nazi Germany adopted the same symbol. It was the Roman eagle. And then it says of four-footed animals. What civilization had a bull as their symbol of virility and masculinity and power? It was the Egyptians. And before the Egyptians had the snake on the Pharaoh's crown, the Assyrians had the crawling creatures. Paul nailed four civilizations in one verse, and he goes on to say they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the creator whose name is blessed forever. This is a foundational issue. I have used this story many times, and I used it today. Good friend of mine, Greg Steer, who runs Dare to Share, used to roof houses. And he said, if the foundation of a house is cracked, the house is jacked. I said, Greg, what do you mean? He said, you can put the most expensive roof you want to on that building, but if that foundation is cracked, that roof will leak like a sieve. What is the foundation of everything that we as Christians believe? It's Genesis 1, 2, and 3. From why you and I are now seated here wearing clothes, it goes back to the shame of Adam, and to why there's family, that goes back to Adam and Eve, to why there's government, law, why was there a need for a God man to penetrate time, space, history, hang on a cross, and die in my place because I'm a sinner? Genesis 3, 15. If I can create doubt in the historicity of Genesis 1, 2, and 3, I can undermine every tenet, every doctrine of the Christian faith. And if our foundation is cracked, our house is jacked. It is crumbling. And churches need to regain this foundation. They need to rebuild the foundation. And we see that Christians innately know that God is, and therefore he is the creator. If Jesus is not the creator, then he certainly cannot be the redeemer. Evolution does one thing very well. It is not good science, it is not good philosophy of science, but it does one thing very well. It gets rid of the need for God. And that is why there's such a hatred towards a creationist worldview model being taught alongside of evolution. I believe in education, not indoctrination. I believe you teach both models and tell the students, okay, now which model better fits the evidence? You've listed some evidence already. Which model better fits the evidence? And let them decide. That is true education. Either one alone is indoctrination.

And which model best aligns with the word of God, if the word of God is our epistemological authority. I want to draw in what's happening between Canada and America. 20% of Canadians are still creationists in comparison to 39% of Americans. So you've got almost double the amount of apostasy happening in Canada today. And you think that's going to affect the rest of Canada. Canada's ahead of us on more than one thing. They're ahead of us on this apostasy when it comes to the Creator. But it's also going to be ahead of us in other matters as well. We're in a life and death struggle to retain some foundations for our respective civilizations at this point.

Yes. And what's more frightening to me is not Canada. They're always been ahead of us in leading toward apostasy. It's what you said that we as U.S. citizens, as American citizens, believed 10 years ago. What was it, 47%?

We are reaching very, very rapidly a tipping point. And the the everybody knows, everybody talks about this and bemoans the fact that the greatest casualty of the church are graduating seniors from high school. Because once they hit the college or the university, then they are indoctrinated into this evolutionary worldview in every subject. And when they are challenged by their professors. Who their parents have paid to teach their students, whom their parents have told their students, go to the university and listen to your professors and learn your lessons. Well, is it any wonder that we have students, Christian students, walking away from the faith if they do not have a firm foundation and recognize that God is creator, that Jesus Christ is the creator and therefore he's the redeemer. If he is not the creator, he cannot be the redeemer. And this, this, the only people who are willing to compromise on this issue are Christians. We say, well, maybe these days in Genesis were not days, but they were long ages of time. I went through this period. Now I'm not saying, hear me carefully, I'm not saying you can't be a Christian if you believe in evolution. I was one. What I am saying is you cannot be consistent in your faith and hold to anything other than six days. Now that's a bold statement. I realize that. Let's just go to one verse, Kevin. Let's go to Genesis 1.14. Then God said, Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. Well, if a day is not a day, but a long, indefinite period of time, then what's a night? Well, maybe they mean the whole thing is just an indefinite period. Okay. And let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years. Now, if a day is not a day, but a thousand years or a million years, then what's a year? And if Adam was created on day six and he lived 930 years, did he live part of one day? Or did he live 930 times 365 times a thousand? If you don't understand what a day is, it makes nonsense out of that verse. You cannot understand that one verse. Who defined a day? God did. God did in Genesis 1. This is evening morning, day one. Evening morning, day five. Why don't we take him at his word? We chose, we have chosen generally in the Christian community, sadly, to listen to the wizards of so-called science. And I call them wizards because they are very clever, skillful individuals. And they use their positions to move Christians away from the authority of God's Word. And once you leave that, you're left on a sea of opinions with a million options and no compass to guide you. It is no wonder that students walk away from their faith as freshmen in college. This is a foundational issue.

So, Bill, yeah, the Christians are compromising, and I think that's that's one way we're losing ground. The second way we're losing ground is just simply because you've got a monopoly of thoughts uh controlled by the universities and colleges. If it's 99% of PhDs and 99% of college freshmen being uh indoctrinated into an evolutionary construct uh from day one in their college experience, then uh, you know, we're overwhelmed. I mean, we're just outnumbered. It's just not going to go well for us. Um, but but let's be sure that we as Christians consider this to be a key issue. I think that's part of it, is as you said at the outset of this broadcast, pastors and churches need to acknowledge this to be a fundamental, a foundational issue, that we can't give way on the evolution issue. If we do, then before you know it, we're you know, giving way on the rest of uh Romans chapter one, and you know, you you're you're gonna be as woke as Canada, and everything else is gonna fall apart. So that's I think where we are as a country right now. And the compromise on the on the days, the compromise on the age of the earth is one, but also the compromise on the worldwide flood. I've been studying this matter of geology for the last uh week or two as I'm preparing for putting together a seventh-grade uh science course. And I find that geology from the beginning, with a few exceptions, was effectively an attempt uh to apostatize from the Christian faith. I mean, that's exactly what uh guys like Lyell were doing. In fact, remember, Lyell comes before Charles Darwin, and before Lyell comes James Hutton. James Hutton is one of the very, very first geologists of the 1750s and 1760s, sometimes called the father of modern geology. He was raised in a Presbyterian kind of home, but uh he advocated a millions of years gradual deposit of sediments by natural processes. And in his words, the past history of our globe must be explained by what we can be seen to be happening now. No powers are to be employed that are not natural to the globe. No action admitted except those of which we know the principle. We find no vestige of a beginning, no prospect of an end. That is no God at the beginning, no God at the end. It's very much an atheist. So this is Hutton mocking the idea of God judging the world as well by a worldwide flood. Again, Hutton's words. Now, this is the father of modern geology. That's why geology is the most apostate uh science we have. Here's what he said: surely general deluges form no part of the theory of the earth. For the purpose of this earth, that is, there's no worldwide flood, no general deluge, uh, because the purpose of this earth is evidently to maintain vegetable and animal life and not to destroy them. In other words, mocking the idea that God would destroy the earth because of the sin of man, that he found to be utterly reprehensible. Well, then again, eventually you come with Lyle, and Lyle effectively takes up the same, the same position and uh strongly influences Charles Darwin, advocating ancient earth, prehistoric humans, and evolutionary geology. So that's Lyle before you get to Charles Darwin. These are the first of the major apostates that come to bring about an atheistic world that now we have inherited. Apparently, the majority of uh of people living in Europe and North America today hold to uh the position of Lyle and the position of these atheists.

And this goes back to 2 Peter 3, verse 3. Know this, first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of this coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation. You've you've hit on the doctrine of uniformitarianism, and that's what is mentioned here, that the same processes that we see today have always been the processes. Every person, every Christian that I've talked to who has questioned a day being a day and has landed on it being something other than a day, a longed, indefinite period of time, or merely metaphoric, they will always end up questioning the flood. They will let claim it is a local flood, not a global worldwide flood. It goes on to say, for when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heaven existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, through which this world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. But by his word, the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. So do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved. That with the Lord, a day one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day. Now people will pull that, they will cherry pick that one verse, 2 Peter 3.8, and they will say, See, a day could be an age. And they'll reinterpret Genesis 1, 2, and 3. That's bad exegesis because 2 Peter 3.8 has nothing to do with God's creation. It has to do with two things, his eternality and his patience. And how do I know that? Because of verse 9. Verse 9 says, the Lord is not slow about his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient towards you, not wishing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. Time means something only to those of us who are trapped in it. There is order and sequence to the events in God's plan, but God is outside of time. So it deals with his eternality. It also deals with his patience. We all deserve death and hell right now. And the only reason we're not there is because of God's patience toward us. But 2 Peter 3.8 has been so misused by people such as Dr. Hugh Ross, who has an earned PhD in astrophysics and his ministry, Reasons to Believe, he his goal is to persuade Christians that Genesis 1, 2, and 3 is not literal, but it is somehow a metaphor. Somehow it is a figure of speech of some kind, that it is not true history. And those are people like him who are misleading Christians down a path of rejecting the authority of God's word as authoritative, as the way that we know everything.

You know, it's interesting that as you quote 2 Peter 3, I think to myself, these same scoffers, these mockers are the geologists of Hutton, Lyle, and those who come after them, in that they cannot believe that God would destroy the earth, the whole world, because of his hatred of the sin that was uh countenanced by the world up until the worldwide flood. And uh, and then of course, they can't believe that God would destroy the world by fire. So I think it's the same, the same thing. They're sitting here as the apostate of the modern age. They they can't believe that God would come back to destroy this same world by fire. And so they step up and say there's no way that God could have destroyed the whole world by water some 4,000 years ago. And so I think it's this apostasy. Ultimately, at the heart of all of this is man pressing against God as the holy God who brings his righteous judgment upon the world. First with water, next time by fire. They can't accept either one. And therefore, they become the scoffers. They become the ones that advocate this uh uniformitarianism, this idea that there can't be a catastrophe that God would unleash upon the whole world. Now, the the Bible brings it out in no uncertain terms. Yeah, first of all, that the world was destroyed by fire. The entire world that then existed was flooded with water. That's 2 Peter 3, 5 to 7. But then you you have so many other instances. God promised he would destroy all flesh from off the earth in Genesis 7, verse 7. I myself am bringing flood waters on the earth to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life. God also determined he would save eight humans and animals in whom was the breath of life by an ark. And so that's another uh uh indication that this was a worldwide flood that would come to destroy all flesh from off the earth. And also there are multiple references to the flood waters prevailing over the whole earth. Think of Genesis 6, 17. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. The waters prevailed and greatly increased on the earth, and the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered. The waters prevailed 15 cubits upward, and the mountains were covered. Then again, all animals and all animals died, and the humans died in the flood, except those that were in the ark. All flesh died. This is Genesis 7, 21 to 23. All flesh died that moved on the earth, birds and cattle and beasts, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man, all in whose nostrils was the breath of life, all that was on the dry land died. So he, that is God, destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground, both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air, they were destroyed from off the earth. Uh Jesus brings out the same issue in Matthew 24, 37 to 39, um, speaking of how the flood came to destroy them, took them all away. So also will the coming of the Son of Man be. That's Matthew 24, 39. So I don't know if, I mean, I don't think God could be more explicit. I can't think of another way in which I would be able to communicate the universality, the worldwide character of this flood. You know, and uh so that I to me, a compromise on the worldwide flood, a compromise on the days of creation is a fundamental undermining of the epistemological authority of God's word. Now they're gonna come back and say, yeah, but we all have our different interpretations of God's word. It seems to me God is explicit, extremely clear about the days of creation as well as the worldwide character of the flood, Bill.

Yes. In fact, the opposition knows this very well. Our opponents are very aware of this whole issue, and that's why they go after Genesis 1, 2, and 3 all the time. And when they do, they they they are very clear about this. They're very, very clear in saying that this is a foundational issue. For example, atheist Frank Zindler in a debate said this. The most devastating thing, though, that biology did to Christianity was the discovery of biological evolution. Now that we know that Adam and Eve never were real people, now how he knows that he doesn't say. Now that we know that Adam and Eve never were real people, the central myth of Christianity is destroyed. If there never was an Adam and Eve, there never was an original sin. If there never was an original sin, there is no need of salvation. If there is no need of salvation, there is no need of a savior. And I submit that puts Jesus, historical or otherwise, into the ranks of the unemployed. I think evolution is absolutely the death knell of Christianity. End quote.

And as far as Christianity has compromised uh with evolution in England, um, Germany, um, Canada, and America, I think he's got a point.

Yes. And and and students figure that out. Students are not unintelligent, they're not stupid, but they're they're immersed in a worldview that they cannot counter, they cannot they cannot destroy because we have not taught them the authority of God's word. We have not taught them that geology, for example, is a soft science. It's a pseudoscience. You don't do geology, you do chemistry, you do physics, but you don't do geology. You just observe and you draw conclusions on what you see in the fossil record, and your assumptions determine your conclusions. So these PhDs go to the geologic record, they assume millions of years, and so therefore they see that. There's only two things that Christians, that creationists, and evolutionists disagree on. It is the amount of time and the cause. The evolutionist says it was shallow seas that flowed in and out over eons of time and slowly made deposits. And I say it was one event known as the flood. They say it was a natural cause. I say it was a supernatural cause. That's the two things. And it has nothing to do with science, it has to do with how do you see things. It is one's worldview. This issue of origins has never been a science issue, and never will be a science issue. It always has been and always will be a worldview issue. It is whom are you going to trust? Is it man's so-called science, which is not science at all, or is it God's word? We have to really teach that to Christians because we are creating, we're creating victims, we're creating casualties. I don't like to see wounded soldiers. And that's why at Worldview Academy, we spend a great deal of time drilling down on this particular issue. We only have a week with students, and we spend a good amount of time talking about this issue because it is so foundational.

Well, let me wrap this thing up by saying if we're going to retain the 39% and actually try to build back uh to 44% or 48% of Americans holding to the creation account, we're going to have to radically change the way we educate our children, not just in K-12 schools, but also at the university level. We're going to have to abandon 99% of the universities across this country, especially when it comes to science education and I would say liberal arts and everything else as well. Otherwise, we're going to lose. Otherwise, you're going to continue to lose. Red State parents keep sending their kids to Blue State universities, and the kids' skin comes back tinged blue, and they're asking, how in the world did this happen? Well, we've been doing it for 200 years. It's about time we figure out what we're doing wrong. Get our kids out of these schools and insist upon a distinctively Christian worldview-based education at the K-12 level as well as the higher education level.

I'd say at the Sunday school level. Well that too need to stop showing showing the ark as a little boat with giraffe's neck sticking out. We need to we need to teach students that the flood was a devastating event. It was God's judgment against a sinful world. And yet the ark was there. God had Noah built the ark and he left enough space because Noah preached for what, 120 years while he built the ark? And God is not only a God of judgment, he's a merciful God. There was space enough for people to climb on board, and yet nobody did. Do we have an ark on board which we can climb to escape the impending judgment against this world? The answer is yes. It is Jesus Christ. He is our ark, he is our salvation. And that is what we have failed to make the connection with in Sunday school classes. And as a result, we are crippling Christian students when we send them off to universities that are dominated by an evolutionary worldview. They cannot defend their faith. They are steamrolled. And that is why I think this is a foundational issue. If the foundation is cracked, the house is jacked.

And skepticism and doubt introduced into Genesis 1 and Genesis 7 will result in skepticism and doubt introduced into Matthew chapter 1 all the way through chapter 28. So, friends, you introduce skepticism and doubt about the authoritative revelation of God in Genesis 1 through 7. You're going to introduce some skepticism and doubt when it comes to what's happening in Matthew 1 through 28. And uh and that's the unraveling of the faith that's happened in Europe, Canada, and America over the last 200 years of the enlightenment, of higher criticism, of evolutionism, and all the rest. So let's stand upon the epistemological authority of the Word of God. God speaks his word. We say, Yes, Lord, what would you have me to do? And uh what would you have me to believe? And friends, it's been our job to rebuild the foundations. Where the foundations are destroyed, what do the righteous do? We rebuild foundations. And that is coming back to the fundamentals and the word of God and not being afraid to oppose the antithesis, the ideas that have been so damaging to education and to the church and to various aspects of the Christian uh thought and life. And that's been our job for 22 years of broadcasting. I just want to encourage you to get behind the program. We need some support uh to keep this uh program going. Would appreciate you to uh come behind us and uh provide some support. Certainly your prayers are invited.
