Oh my goodness, my dog. I don't even know. I'm praying and I'm hoping. But you know how me and technical difficulties go. It either works or it doesn't. My last episode, I think, I don't know. I think I think I tried to make an episode and none of my music played. And now I'm about to put brand new music on this. So um don't worry, guys. It's not copyrighted. I'm using YouTube for it 100%. And I just hope that it works. Anyways. Boys, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, my name is Job in Canada. I am the host with the most trying not to boast. You already know my name. You already know the game. Or games that I'm about to talk about, or the multiple leagues that I'm about to talk about, or the multiple players I'm about to talk about. And so on and so forth. Um so yeah.
SPEAKER_01What a few weeks.
SPEAKER_00Dog. I can't believe I listened to a radio station today talk about if it's a rookie player's first home run. Now, you already know how I feel about baseball. And if you don't, then well, you're you're gonna have to start to get used to it. So if and of itself, I am not that much of an advid baseball fan. I would say that I'm a casual, but I actually root for the Tigers. I root for all of my Detroit teams, and you guys know this 100%. Um 100%, and that's not to say that hey, I'm just gonna follow blindly some random team or be a polyteamer like some of these fan bases really are. But that is to say that I am not a blind follower of teams. Uh that's not me. I've never been that way. Um, I've never been that. I've never like followed that. I've never I've never had that idea or that notion to randomly follow a team and just be like, oh yeah, well, I'm cool with this team or that team, whatever. But let's just say, for instance, this is the scenario that the radio stations put in for today, which is crazy in and of itself. Um Kevin McGonagall, rookie player, just came out of a lot of training on you know, different AAA or double A baseball teams, comes up to the Tigers, looks like a really good kid, looks like he's gonna be um in the rookie of the year conversation, just recently had his first home run ever in Major League Baseball. The question that was posed was you're a fan that bought tickets, sat in, sat down, you're there to watch the game. Kevin McGonagall hits a home run. The fan catches a home run. Now, here's where it gets crazy. Do you want to be the person that catches the home run and gives it back to Kevin McGonagall so he can save it for the rest of his life? And that fan, I think, received a signed baseball, a signed bet, a signed jersey, and that was it. Or do you want to be the fan that just keeps the ball? Because, hey, I'm gonna hold on to this for a few years, get some money off eBay for it. Now, if you ask me 100%, if you would ask me, I wouldn't keep the ball. If it was like someone's 500th or 1000th or 2000th home run, however high these home runs go, home run, and I catch the ball and I hold on to it for a few years, and then I decide, hey, I'm gonna sell this on eBay or some auctioning um place that vi really values baseball memorabilia. Um, I'm not giving you the bob. Once you're in those high numbers, you know, you're already stapled as a superstar, you're already one of the best in the league, you're already, you know, this, that, and the third, whatever, then you have the option and the opportunity of holding on to something very valuable. And once you do that, you're not gonna give the baseball back to the player. Whatever. I don't care about that. I'm not doing that for you. Superstar, you got millions of dollars. You probably, you know, you've you're you're reaching the high thousands and hitting home runs, this, that, and the third. I'm not about to turn around and be like, oh yeah, let me give this baseball back to you. Absolutely not. That's not what I'm doing. Um, I'm not doing that. And that's that was always confusing to me. But Kevin McGevin McGonagall, sorry if I say his name wrong, um had his first home run ever in Major League Baseball. Very proud of the kid, 100%. I'm gonna give that baseball back to him. That's the baseball I'm gonna give that give back to him. There might be a few home runs that if I'm if I'm even lucky to be sitting in a baseball stadium and somebody hits me a home run. Nine times out of ten, I'm gonna give it to some kid that's around me, or give it to some parent to give it to some kid that's around me. Whatever. There's so many unwritten rules in baseball. It's crazy. Um, I'm gonna give it to that, I'm gonna give it to them so they can do whatever with that, you know, uh, and just and just do that however you want to move forward with that. His first base, his first home run, here you go, Mr. McGonagall. And then in return, you you know, you get the jersey, you get the baseball bat, you get the baseball, a new baseball, but it's signed. All three of those are signed by the kid who just started his career. Um, and there are people that are like, no, I actually want a thousand dollars. No, like I heard that on the radio today. You cannot be that person. What is wrong with you? If you're in the stands, hey, I bought tickets for a baseball game. Why are you asking for money? For like, what are you doing? Here's signed memorabilia. Also, here's this jersey. You'll probably never wear it again. I'm gonna hold on to it for about five to ten years. Go to some auctioneer place. Hey, do y'all sell off, you know, or eBay? Hey, here's this signed jersey by this player. Here's the signed baseball by this player. Take a bunch of pictures, do that. Here's the same signed baseball, whatever. This is authentic, whatever. What like, and I'ma set the price at like 15 grand 100%. You cannot be the person that, like, hey, I caught a baseball, sat back down. Here comes the actual player. Like, hey, this is my first home run. Like, this would be really authentic to me to like hold this, like hold on to this for the rest of my life. You cannot be that fan that goes, yeah, well, I want five grand for it. What's wrong with you? Like, no, that's not how that goes. I'm not like, I'm not one of those fans that were ever like tell, I don't care how much, like, it makes you look like a bad fan. Why are you asking for money? Have you lost your mind? Why are you doing that? That's just that's weird in and of itself. I don't know why you would do that. So some of the guys were like, Yeah, man, I'm asking for money, or I'm asking for season tickets, I'm asking for lifetime season tickets. Like, here's a signed baseball, here's a signed baseball bat, here's a signed jersey from the legitimate player. Oh, well, it's fake because like you don't know if it's fake or not. There's real, a real signature on this, and I know it's gonna go for a lot of money, and I can hold on to this forever and keep it clean. I'm not about to sit here, I'm about to frame it. Well, number one, like frame this, take this to a place to get framed, like have a little cash, take this to a place to get framed. I'm never wearing that again. Like the same thing with the baseball bat. I'm getting it sealed and something. I'm never like letting people like touch the baseball bat. You know what I mean? Like ever again. Like I touched it, he touched it, he signed it. It's going in a carrying case. I'm holding on to it for about 10, 15, 20 years, and then I'm taking it to a place that sells baseball memorabilia. What however long it takes, you know what I'm saying? I'm I know it's gonna take forever. If I haven't lived that long, I'll pass it down to my kids. What whatever. I'm not one of those people that's gonna be like, oh yeah, I want a thousand dollars and free food from the stadium. I want season tickets for like you're asking for too much, you're going above and beyond. That's too much. Oh, well, we don't have to give you that. Well, you don't have to take this baseball that like now. You just like I understand the rule of hey, if you catch a baseball in a stadium, you get to take it home, but that's weird to ask for money. I don't, I don't know how far that goes. And it's even it's weirder, it's super weird to ask for money whatsoever. I don't know why you would even ask for any cash and then turn around and be like, oh yeah, well, you know, I'm I'm good because you know you get paid millions of dollars. It's like that's that's a little much, my guy. Okay, that's too much. You don't have to do that, okay. Geez, you don't need that's that's weird that you would even have that. That's weird. That's just weird. And nine times out of ten, you look like a bad fan. It's like it's like the guy who takes the baseball from the kid. That's just like you know, the kid catches the ball, but he wrestles it away from the kid. That's that's that's that's gross. Anyways, start the music. This is sports logic, JC. What up? I hope y'all hear something. I don't know what I don't know what it is. Um again, this is YouTube, uncopyrighted, non-copyrighted music. So I'm hoping y'all are hearing something. Uh, if y'all can't hear anything at all, please let me know. 100% if you're listening to this episode, anywhere you might be listening to this episode at, please let me know if you can't hear anything. I do have to re-listen to my episodes, which is crazy. Um, what up, what up, what up? It is your host with the most, try not to boast, Java Canada, and welcome to a brand spanking new episode of Spoon Leggy, the podcast. That's 100%. Hey guys, how's it going? I know it's been a while. Uh, we are two weeks away from the NFL draft. Actually, we are 40 minutes away from the WNBA draft, which is tonight. Um they are predicting Ozzy Fudd to go number one overall to the wings. Um, there's a bunch of news flying around, this, that, and the third. Um, and with everything going on, let's just go right into the show because I got so much to talk about between college basketball, the national champs of that, how I feel, how I felt about it, the whole, you know, everything between um the NBA regular season just ended. The playoffs are starting this week, the plan is starting tomorrow. Um, we got major league baseball starting just a couple of weeks ago. How I feel about Major League Baseball. And of course, we always end the show with the pro wrestling turnbuckle. Ding ding ding. So let's go right into it, ladies and gentlemen. Congratulations are in order to the UCLA women's basketball team. All right, good job, ladies, and the Michigan men's basketball team. Um I feel like certain teams could have made it a lot further. Most people are gonna say it was luck that Yukon made it as far as they did. 100%. Um that coach out of Yukon has got to be well, like there are two coaches in Yukon, and I'm gonna talk about Gino, who he's made his own crazy statements. But I'm very proud of the UConn team. I'm very f proud, also proud, mind you, of the Yukon fans who really flooded my comment section and my one of my TikTok videos. Um, I was letting people know that people shit hate on Yukon a lot more, and they responded in kind. They were like, Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, hold your horses there, guy. We know we know about you. Hold your horses, okay? Yukon deserves deserves respect. We're a top-tier program. 100%. That's not where I was coming from on that. Um, I was giving when I do those um you should hate on videos, and I haven't done them in a while. You should hate on videos. One, I don't respect or I don't expect, sorry, I don't expect a response um from any fan base or any fans whatsoever. So to flood my comment section and be like, no, no, no, UConn is number one. Yeah, we're number one. 100%. Uh, shout out to the UConn Huskies. Um, good effort on both brackets, making it as far as you guys did. Dan Hurley and Gino Ari Ariama, very great coaches. Um, Gino, I didn't like what he said about Don Staley, like the the comments you made. You didn't have to do that, Gino. That was a little, that was a little much. And then to come out with a statement afterwards, a written statement, not really necessarily like an on-camera or like a press conference type style of an apology towards Don Staley. That was very off-putting. Um, it was very rehearsed. It was very just in the box in the square. 100%. Um the women's bracket. I thought South Carolina would be I thought they were run rough shod. Um, I thought that they, you know, with Don Staley and they did make it to a national championship, but man, the UCLA women just stepped up and stepped out and balled out and did what they did the damn thing. Uh 100% respect to UCLA. Um when it goes to the Michigan men's basketball team. Uh yeah. Um respect and you know, disrespect at the same time because I'm a Michigan State fan. Um 100%. I am proud of them. They had you know a lot of talent come in, and uh Dusty May has done an amazing job coming from you know a different school, getting them into the Final Four, and just hey, we're I'm gonna take this job at Michigan and quickly getting them up up the ranks um last year really fell short, and then only to this year to build on that, and then overall win a national championship is really respectful. Um so how do you build on that? Continue to continue to get recruits, continue to use the transfer portal, continue to use NIL as only I know Michigan can. They have the money and the resources to do that, to win national championships and bring bring up bring that pride to the University of Michigan at the same time. Screw you guys. I don't like Michigan, I've never liked Michigan. Um I also didn't like the ending of Michigan State season, if you were to ask me. Um you didn't get any banners. Uh Michigan State. Michigan fans called you Little Brother after they beat you once again to sweep the season, to sweep the season because it was Michigan, Michigan State twice that twice this year. Um only to go to the tournament, make it out of the first weekend, and then lose to Yukon in the fashion that you did was really disappointing. Um The fashion that you did was you were down huge in the first half. You really had to scratch and claw, you missed terrible shots, and then you fell apart late, obviously, against Yukon, who kept balling out. Um, so of course I'm a little sour, and on one of my videos, I actually called for Tom Mizzo's job. I'm a little more clear-headed now. I'm not sure if I want that. I don't think I want that anymore. I don't think I want that anymore. Um 100%. I do not want that anymore. So I just wish that you would use more NIL and use the transfer portal a little more and really go after some of these higher recruits who are trying to make make it to the league or just be a one and done, or I don't know, whatever, but you might have to alter your offense however you run, however, you run that weird, fast paced, like everybody's passing the ball around instead of it. I'm not saying to slow the tempo, but control the tempo. You know what I mean? You don't have to be sprint fast break team with every every time, and you don't have to get this weird um three-star point guard who can't make shots but can kick players in the nuts for some reason. I don't know why, I don't know why they do that. It it was, you know, very weird. That was very weird. Um, AJ DeBanza didn't make it far. Um, he's one and done. He's definitely going to the NBA. The Boozer Twins didn't make it very far. They're definitely going to the NBA, if not one, both of them. Um who am I? Who am I? Oh, Darren Peterson. Very crazy season. I know he's probably a great point guard, but the narrative on him is he skips games. So I don't know how far he goes in the NBA. If he like, you know, if he even goes this season, I would understand him going back to college. Um just to kind of do that. And there are so many other names. There, you know, we could talk about the NBA draft all day. Excuse me, once we, you know, get closer to the NBA draft season, I'll I'll be talking more about, excuse me, again, I'll be talking more about the NBA player, NBA draft uh prospects that are going into the NBA. And we'll just build on that, ladies and gentlemen, 100%. Um so yeah, that's I mean, that's it to a T. Um UConn did really well. I really respected what Arizona did. Um who else made noise? The women on the women's side. There was a lot of noise from Michigan. There was a lot of noise from uh TCU. I kept seeing Olivia Miles. I think that's her name. Um if I'm not mistaken. Let me see. I could be wrong on that. Uh uh from TCU. UCLA women's team was on fire this year. I think they lost one game. Um UCL UCLA was on fire. Oh yes, Olivia Miles. Um we'll get back to that. I'm gonna talk about the WNBA in a little while. But yes, very, very proud of them. Um, very proud of you know, UCLA, very proud of TCU, very proud of um L L S U. Um Flow J Flau J. I can't, I don't know if Flow J Flau J Johnson. Uh I could be wrong on that. I'm so sorry if I pronounced her name incorrectly. Going from LSU to the WNBA, she'll be drafted in just a little over 40 minut 30 minutes from now. Uh, where she will go, I have no clue. Um, 100%. This is like this group, uh, there's a bunch of new people. Players, there's a bunch of new, you know, there's a couple of new teams. The Tempo and the Portland Fire. The Toronto Tempo. Excuse me. The Toronto Tempo and the Portland Fire. Yes, 100%. Brand new teams. They've already had their. If I'm not mistaken, they've already had their expansion draft. But like I said, we got a lot more to talk about. This is SportsLogic. My name is Javin Canada. We'll be right back after this music break. I am back. It is your host with the most shot of the boss. I know that y'all hear me through those music breaks. I don't care none. It's my music. It's my show. Hello. Anyways, I got thoughts on the NBA regular season into the play in into the playoffs. Um, number one, first and foremost, I am very proud of how the season went. I'm very proud that there was a record breaker in Bam Audio. I'm very proud that there was craziness all year. Um the Western Conference is as tough as it ever as it's ever been. The Eastern Conference is as tough as it's ever been. Um there's a lot of good teams out there. There's a lot of there's a lot of brand new everything. Everything's brand new. Everything's, you know, it it seems newer, you know. Here come the Pistons, here come the it's it's like the Pacers were the finals team last year, but here come the Knicks and the Celtics and the Cavs. And but here's Atlanta again. People thought after Trey Young was gone, hey, who's gonna be the point guard? Who who's who are they building this team from? Who are they, you know, what are they doing with this group? And then all of a sudden, they're right back in the playoff picture. And you're like, what? Hold on, what's going on? And now you now you have to talk about, you know, you have to talk about everything that Atlanta's doing. You have to talk about the play-in teams, the Hornets who have been on fire, um, the Heat who are you know still in the play-in. Hey, you got you gotta knock them out to knock them out. The Sixers who are in the play-in, um, and so on and so forth. Um, the breaking news out of say New Orleans and Milwaukee is both of them are looking for new head coaches. So the Pelicans just started their head coach search. Um, and Doc Rivers stepped down. So that's that's you know, brand new. That's a whole lot of um everything. If I was to go team by team 100%, my favorite to make it out of the East is Boston and Detroit. 100%. Um, I feel as if the Cavs have a lot more questions and answers. Um, I don't know how this team is oh, but it's history with Harden. It's like it's a new team. Once Harden gets into those playoff situations, now it seems to be an issue. I don't know what Harden we're getting. You know, can he alleviate the pressure from Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, Jared Allen? Or is this the same Harden that is breaking key shots in key moments and you don't know what you're getting? Are we gonna fail with this group or are we gonna succeed with this group? No clue. If you were to ask me about the Knicks, what Knicks team are we getting? Um in regular seasons, sometimes they perform very well. This team is very much built to beat a team like Boston, but they struggle mightily against Detroit. That's another question. We don't know. Um, if I was to go back, you know, go throughout again, team by team. The Pistons, great team. People have questions about the secondary ball handler, the the third ball handler, so on and so forth. I've seen a confident Detroit team over these last few weeks because K's injury forced a lot of guys to step up. This isn't the same Detroit team. Um, I feel as if they have a little bit more confidence, 100%. And their defense is still one of the best in the league. It's not one of the best in the conference, it's one of the best in the NBA. Um, and defense will win you games. Defense will stop the other team from scoring, will force turnovers, and all you have to do is rely on your offense. Offense has a lot of questions, but it can be something to build upon. Celtics, Jason Tatum comes back, he looks really good. Um, uh Jalen Brown, but does Jalen Brown take a back seat? Their defense, also very good, still. But the the questions lie between Jason and Jalen. So, you know, with the Knicks team that's able to beat them, they can beat the Cavs, the Celtics can beat the Cavs, the the Pistons can beat the Celtics, the Celtics can beat the Pistons. No one's unbeatable. There's a lot of questions. You know, there's way more questions than answers. And then you go down the list for where is oh the Hawks, can they get can they get it together? The Heat, you know, they're a playing team, but you know, they've made noise from the playing. The Hornets, can they get hot at the right time? Especially, hey, they really need to. The playing games are tomorrow. So if they don't get hot at the right time, the magic, you know, my goodness, the magic lost to the backups in Boston. And then I'm on TikTok, I'm on TikTok live, and it's all over TikTok live, and I'm seeing Magic fans say if they're the eighth seed, they can be Detroit. I don't really have faith in the Magic like that. Um, especially, you know, that this same Magic team has played Detroit and they've lost numerous times. The same Hornets team played Detroit, lost numerous times. Same Heat team played Detroit, lost numerous times. It's, you know, so it really comes down to who are is the better team of the Eastern Conference that can stop Detroit. Um, I didn't even talk about the Raptors yet. You know, if they get hot at the right time, they can stop a team like Cleveland. You know, it's there's a lot of questions in the Eastern Conference. I believe that the Pistons defense and Boston can make the Eastern Conference finals, and that'll just be a good great one-two matchup. Who's gonna win? Uh I lean towards Detroit, obviously. They're my favorite team, but you know, Boston, I wouldn't be surprised if Boston won again and Boston's the team, and Boston's it. Um if we go to the west side, man, if we go to the west side, it's it's I mean, I don't believe the Lakers get very far. I think the Lakers could be a serious and a dangerous one and done team. It's just LeBron now. Um, Luka Doncic and Austin Reeves are out indefinitely. Don't know when they could return. And there's a lot of questions about that roster behind LeBron James. LeBron James is still good, even at 41, 100%. I got you. Luke Kennard, Rui Hachamura, Bronny James, DeAndre Aiton. I have no clue. I just I don't know. Your defense is so so, your offense is worse. Like, that's not that's not something I can hang my hat on. That's not, you know, that looks like a real one and done. And you're playing the Rockets first. So if they get to a good shooting night, KD, he's hitting clutch shot after clutch shot after clutch shot, and then you have Amon, you have uh Tate, you have uh Singoon, you have some like you have Depth, you have Reach Shepherd, you you got all of these names, like that, and that's just off the top of my head. I mean, they could be they could really be something dangerous. Um Suns. I didn't why did I go to the Suns? I have no clue. Um Timberwolves, Ant-Man, Rudy Gobert. I think they could go far, but that first round matchup against the Nuggets is crazy. That is a crazy first round matchup. Um, that's insane. That's an insane first round matchup. Um just dog. That's that's that's a crazy first. Can I see the bracket? Oh, geez. My my computer, man. Um come on, man. It's taking forever to load because I didn't forgot some of the teams that are playing each other. That's a crazy first-round matchup between Ant-Man and Joker, between um Cam Johnson and who am I thinking? I don't know who I'm thinking. Can you load the thing? Okay. Um, and that's on Prime Video, too. That's crazy. Um, yeah, I get I definitely gotta watch that. Julius Randle. Uh Jokic leads the lead, leads the league and rebounds and assists is crazy. I I I've Naz Reed on one side, Jaden McDaniels, Bones Highland. Jokick. They just say they just say a Joker. They ain't even saying no so by nobody else. Cam Johnson, Tim Harder race had a great season. Christian Braun. Um, so on and so forth. It just it looks it looks so good. It just this is one of like my premier matchups. I think this goes seven. Like, I would not be surprised if this goes seven, and whoever goes seven, they play OKC. They play the they play OKC. Um, excuse me, they play either Oklahoma City or the Spurs. Whoever beats one of them, they're gonna be in the Western Conference Finals. So it's either or. But you don't want to be the team that's first and done. That's that's tough. That's a tough, oof, that's tough. Um Spurs, they play the Suns of the Trailblazers. Yikes. That's so that's so San Antonio making that. I have no faith in the Lakers, they don't have the depth. Everyone's picking Houston, and then of course it's Oklahoma City. Uh, dark horse in this could be the Timberwolves, only because they could get hot quickly. Um, they could hit their shots, they play great defense. And man, dog, it's it's so uh I just don't, I just don't know. The Easter's so tough to you know to to talk about. If it's you know, and most people some people are saying if the hey, if the Suns make it because Devin Booker's battle tested, he could play the Spurs play the Spurs and beat the Spurs, and we don't know. I don't know. It is Malawatch playing, maybe he can guard Wemby. I have no clue. Um Trailblazers, I just don't know. Denny of Avdia, he started scoring 30 a game, but I just I don't know their roster, I don't know their depth, and they're the seventh that could possibly lose and be the ninth seed or not ninth, eighth seed. Um it's gonna be it's gonna be tough. Uh how I feel about it, it could be OKC. Um, it really could be the Dark Horse, you know, the Spurs have been able to beat the Thunder over and over again, and Wimby's a monster. I don't, I just I don't think I don't know. So it could be really something. I'm picking OKC. I would not be surprised if the Spurs made it. I wouldn't be surprised if the Nuggets made a run. I wouldn't be surprised if the Timberwolves made a run. So those are my four. That's my whole spiel. This is sports logic featuring your boy JC. What up?
SPEAKER_01I hope it's playing something. I don't know if it is. Hey DJ, turn it up. Yeah, yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah, DJ.
SPEAKER_00I really hope I'm not the only person that can hear my music. That's crazy. That's so insane. Back to the um show. Sportslogic, drive in Canada, the podcast. What up? Um the WNBA. I'm very proud. They are putting pen to paper. They put pen to paper on money. Players are getting traded. There's a ton of movement. A lot of these players haven't signed yet with their teams. Um the tempo and fire are starting up this year. Um, I'm very excited about what you know, you're what are you getting out of the WNBA? I'm very excited that the season's gonna start like within the next few weeks. I'm very excited that the WNBA draft is in literally 15 minutes from now. Or I say 15, but really it's 17. But 15 minutes from now, um, very, very excited. Um, very excited for the WNBA. Very excited to see uh Satu Sabali on the Liberty with Sabrina and Stewie. That's a crazy lineup. Very excited to see Rakia Jackson and Skylar Diggins uh after they just crazily traded Angel Reese on the Chicago Sky. Um very excited. Very excited, very excited to see um what's gonna happen. Very excited to see, you know, every everything that happens with the WNBA. They've come so far. I'm very proud of them. I'm glad they're getting a lot of money. I'm glad they're putting more teams in. I'm glad there's gonna be more competition. I'm glad there's gonna be more players. I'm glad that they don't have to go overseas, that they actually have housing. I'm glad that they're, you know, making deals, but I'm not glad. Here's why I'm not glad. I'm not glad that some really good players haven't signed yet. Because I don't know what's gonna come of uh what's gonna come of everything that happens in the WNBA. Um I I really and this is what I really I really don't like. Um I really don't like that they yanked the Connecticut Sun out of Connecticut um to put them in Houston. Again, I am strongly, heavily, heavily against teams being taken from franchises being taken from teams um free age or free agents. Did I say free agents? My bad, teams being taken from cities and then put into new cities. The WNBA doesn't have that many teams, and you're actively adding more teams like year over year, like a Cleveland, like a Detroit, like a Houston. Cool, okay. But here's the issue. The issue is uh the issue is simple. Um, you just took a whole franchise out of Connecticut. I don't like that, mind you. I just I just signed or signed. I'm sorry, I'm reading stuff. I just um paid attention to Yukon sports. I didn't know that the only teams in that entire state is the University of Yukon, the University of Connecticut. So the Connecticut Sun are gone. They don't have an NFL team, they don't have an NBA team, they don't have an NHL team, they don't have a they don't have a baseball team. Like, what is this? Um very like weirded out by that. Stop taking teams from certain cities and putting them in different cities. I love the expansion, I love the growth of the league. I love that they're gonna start making newer and newer stars because there are a lot of names that are gonna that are gonna be like moved around. Uh like the Dallas Wings getting Alana Smith, the Golden State Valkyries, who are who looked really good in their initial season. That's their first season ever. They got Gabby Williams, really great basketball player. Uh, the Los Angeles Sparks with Cameron Brink, with Kelsey Plum, got NECA and Oguma K. I'm so sorry if I said that wrong. I gotta work on my reading. Um, I like that the Atlanta Dream got Angel Reese, and she's gonna be with a very good group. Um I like the Chicago Sky getting Skylar Diggins and Azure Stevens. Um, and then Rakia Jackson ended up going to the Chicago Sky. It's like there's a lot, you know, there's a lot going on. There's a lot of movement, there's a lot of immediate movement, there's a lot of you know, new teams being created. Minnesota Lynx getting Natasha Howard, Portland Fire getting Bridget, Bridget Carlton, um the Tempo getting Britney Sykes, Marina Mabry going to the uh brand new Toronto team. Marina Mabry, you know, she's you know, she's loved around the league. Um Alana getting Alicia Gray, Ryan Howard, Bree Jones, uh Jordan Canada was signed. Indiana got Ty Harris, Chelsea Gray went to Las Vegas. Oh, they re-signed. They re-signed with Chelsea Gray and Jewel Lloyd. Um, Connecticut signed, but it's this, it's the sun. They're going to Houston, so I don't know. Um, but they signed Kennedy Burke and Brittany Greiner. Great moves. Um, it's a lot of moves, it's a lot of movement, it's a lot of players getting paid. They're getting paid, they're changing teams. This, that, and the third. So I'm very excited for this upcoming season. I'm very excited. Um, sooner or later, I know down the line they're gonna end up expanding the season. So they're gonna make the season a little bit more um with newer and newer teams, come newer and newer players, come newer and newer arenas, come newer and newer fan bases, the growth, the money, the revenue, this, that and a third. Uh, don't tell me about fans who don't watch the NBA time all some well, these women, they don't get the revenue. I don't want to hear that because they're selling out stadiums, especially in the unrivaled league. You know, they're doing other stuff overseas. They're they're they have fan bases, stud buds, and everything. Um, they're doing live shows and everything in between. The women are getting noticed. Y'all need to start paying attention 100%. I'm very proud of what the WNBA is doing. Um, in like 10 minutes, they're about to have the WNBA draft. Guess what I'm doing? I'm turning it on. I'm watching it. You know what I'm saying? Who about to get drafted? Ozzie Fudd. Uh who's who's the The woman from yeah, she went to UCLA. Um Marquez's sister. Um oh, this is this is breaking news two hours ago. Shakira Austin is returning to Washington Mystics three-year deal. Um, she had an offer sheet with the tempo, but Washington matched it. Good job, because they they did not want to lose a young star like her. Um it is it is time. Start paying attention to women's basketball, yo. This is a this is amazing. More women's sports. Start watching women's sports, yo. It's it's really good, it's very entertaining. There's a lot of storylines in the background. I'm not gonna get into the storylines. Y'all do that. Um, but I do know for for an absolute fact. I just love to see competition. I love to see good, great competition, especially in the women's um in women's sports. People are you know talking about Paige Beckers and Ozzy Fudd, you know, they used to play together in Yukon. They're also dating, so I mean, there's that, hey, y'all talk about the dating stuff. I'm gonna talk about the actual hoop. So um, yeah, this is very exciting. Um, in a few years, you're gonna have a Cleveland team, you're gonna have a Detroit team, you're gonna have um, you already have Portland and Portland and Toronto and Golden State, and their fan base is gonna sell out. I know they are. Um, it's brand new teams, it's brand new everything, and I love to see it on the women's side. Um, I grew up watching women's basketball, um, and of course it kind of lost its way because people, you know, these owners kept selling their teams or taking teams and moving them to different cities and then it falling apart sooner or later. Um 100%. So I'm very excited, 100%. This is uh Java in Canada with SportsLogic the podcast. We're taking another music break. What? So my music break is just literally just me. My music break is literally me, me, it's just vibing the music that's playing in my I don't know if I need a new stuff. I don't think so. I would hope not, because I it cost me a lot of money to do this. But you know everything everything that's like brand new in my stuff is still brand new. Um let's just round it up. Let's just round it up. I want to watch the WNBA draft, and I'm gonna talk about that probably the next time I'm on uh within the next week or so. Um yeah, and we're gonna get into the WNBA playoffs and also the hockey playoffs. Um, very disappointing the NHL playoffs, sorry. Very disappointed in the Detroit Red Wings. Steve Eiserman has to be fired. I know that he's a great Detroit Red Wing legend player, cool. Um, not the best president of operations or GM. I have no clue. This has been this is a decade of despair for a once great franchise. Once again, like a decade of missing the playoffs. I don't know if Larkin wants to win. It's crazy because he was just in the Olympics winning. I don't like Mo Sider's a good kid. I keep him. Lucas Raymond, I don't know. Patrick Kane, I don't know. I'm tired. I just want to make the playoffs again. I just want to win. Like for all four of my Detroit teams. But if you go to my Twitter page at Javin Can at J O H V-I-N-C-A-N, it's a banner up top. It's the Tigers, it's the Lions, it's the Red Wings, it's the Pistons. The Pistons have already done it. One seed, 60 wins. We'll see what happens in the playoffs. Tigers made the playoffs, hit or miss. They, you know, they won yesterday. Kevin, like I said, Kevin McGonagall. They had a series win. They don't play today, they play tomorrow. I really need you to win against the Royals. So we'll see from there. What is that? Pistons, Tigers, Lions. Um I'm hoping you're drafting and trading correctly to go offensive line and defensive end. I'm tired of this, you know, run of the mill, whatever you want to do. It's been a few years since we made the NFC title game. Cool. I want a Super Bowl win. That's if you call me a bad fan, I completely understand. It's whatever, whatever, whatever. Um was that talking about baseball? Yeah. Um was that talking about baseball? Yeah, it was baseball. Just started back up. Um, people are saying the Dodgers could go back to back to back. That would be insane if they did that, but they don't seem to be slowing down at all. The Yankees look like the Yankees. Yankees lose. They got swept by the Rays the other day. Um, but again, my I got a whole co-worker in my ear, Tomosum. For the Cincinnati Reds are going to the World Series. Guys, it's 170 games. We're not even in summertime yet. Like, please like slow down. We don't know what's happening. I have no clue. Um, I've been betting like crazy on baseball, baseball home runs. I'm hoping to hit a bet. I don't know if I'll share with y'all because I don't be winning. That's I'm not proud of that. That's you know, I gamble, but I don't win in baseball. I have won once or twice in the NBA, but uh yet again, it's very difficult to win. Like, excuse me. There there are teams or teams, there are fans or gamblers, I'm sorry, that win consistently. And I'm just like, uh, I'm not winning. I am not winning, and it is very sad. Uh, but hey, you know, you you keep trying and hoping and and hoping. That's all you can do is try and hope. Um, I'm using stats, I'm I'm using everything. Uh I'm also like, I could be going to either Oaks, um, Kentucky Oaks or the Kentucky Derby in a few weeks. Um, my girlfriend really strongly bets on horses. I do not partake in that. I didn't partake in it last time. I I'll try this time, but I am not sure about what race to bet on and how much money to bet on it. So we'll have to see. So we'll just have to see. Again, I'm not you know advocating for sports betting. If you don't want a sports bet, you don't have to call the number if you have to sports, if you have a porting problem. I'm excuse me. If call the number if you're having problems with sports betting, with sports gambling or gambling in general. 1-800 gamble. I think that's the number. I'm not sure. I don't think that's the number in Kentucky, but that might be the number in Michigan. Um I'm not sure. You have to look online or look. Yeah, just look online. Don't, you know, take any bets or betting advice from me. Um, Rory went back to back. Uh congratulations to Roy McElroy for going back to back in the Masters Championship. Uh, that happened this past weekend. Again, I also bet on golf. I do not do well at dead. I just, hey, I'm throwing out bets. I do not do well at dead as well. Um 100%. So, yeah, that's that's uh that's that. Um, last but not least is the pro wrestling turnbuckle. Um, I didn't get a lot of news on AEW Dynasty. I think MJF won the championship over Kenny Omega, which I'm like, dang, I didn't think that that would happen. Um, I have to tune in this, I think it's Wednesday, to see um what from that, ladies and gentlemen. Also, it is WrestleMania week. Um, I am very disappointed with the builds towards WrestleMania. Um, there are certain matches that I might catch during WrestleMania. Um, initially, I was not going to pay for ESPN. I have now paid for it because I would like to see one, the NBA playoffs, two, major league baseball. Um MLB TV is on ESPN. Why ESPN has so much going on is beyond me. Um, I know it's 30 a month. That's also insane. And three, that I'm going to watch WrestleMania. Um, not the entire show. There will be matches where I turn it off. Um, it was trending that Liv Morgan versus um Rock Um Stephanie Vicare. I almost said the wrong name. My bad. Stephanie Vacare was happening this weekend. Um, I am a hundred percent for that being the main event of a night. Um, and Brock and Alba Femi being a main event of a of a night. Um that Cody Cody Rhodes Randy Orton build is one of the worst builds I've ever seen. It's one of the worst builds I've ever had the you know um pleasure of watching. Having Pat McAfee having uh Jelly Roll show up as these celebrities that are gonna be in the corner of these wrestlers. I don't we don't need it. Um WWE has a serious problem with celebrities, little Yachty being on, like sexy red being on NXT, um, and so on and so forth. Having Jelly Roll on there for what the second consecutive year, having him wrestle in matches and also beating wrestlers, I'm not for that. Like, that is a hundred percent not what you're supposed to be doing. Um, and like I said on TikTok, you gotta do it like Bad Bunny. If you were to do it like Bad Bunny, do it like Bad Bunny. Bad Bunny um showed up in like two years. He backed up somebody one year, and then he wrestled in the match where he won the match. Okay, cool. You didn't see any, you didn't see him again after that. That was it. Hey, I'm done. I'm not I'm not doing no storylines. I'm gonna wrestle this really good wrestler who's good. We're gonna have all of these other professional wrestlers show up and also wrestle like this, that, and a third. But Jelly Roll being there on back-to-back years, cutting promos, doing storylines, like what are we doing? This is not it. Um, Ari Emanuel, I guess a guy from TKO has apparently been coming down from TKO to put in his two cents and put in celebrities and matches in this dad and a third. Absolutely not. You have no idea how this business is ran, and you're gonna like and everything is very has been very reactionary, and it has been pissing me off as a pure WWE fan. Um, even as a pro wrestling fan, I've I've I'm over the celebrities being part of storylines, wrestling and matches consistently, doing God knows what, winning championships like Logan Paul. We're we're off this. Like this is this does not work for your company, and it is very weird to keep having them show up week after week to take minutes away from professional wrestlers. It's already bad that you shorten the women's matches week over week. You're shortening the women's promos week over week, you're you're giving them three minutes, two minutes. Hey, just wrestle on screen for a solid 30 seconds, and then we're gonna cut to commercial, or have them wrestle in a match for 10 plus minutes, but have that stupid screen and screen thing to like, hey, we gotta play this commercial. I don't want that. I want to see the women wrestle, I want to see the women cut promos. They gave Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquere a little bit of time, they are hitting it out of the park every time. Every time they're on TV, they're hitting it out of the park. Now, what was bad was the the bad spot last week between hey, I don't know why you have Liv Morgan and Roxy and Perez standing so close to each other, and then here comes Stephanie, she's supposed to be attacking them. Cool. That's bad on production, that's not bad on Stephanie. Stephanie did what she was supposed to be doing, and I hate that the internet immediately went to her to blame her for that. That's dumb. Why did you do that? That's so stupid for the fan bases of WWE to immediately blame Stephanie for whatever that was. That was terrible on production, that's terrible on booking, that's terrible on Triple H. Yes, that's terrible on Ari Emanuel 100%. But then you double down, and all these celebrities are showing up, and the rock might show up, and this, that, and the third. CM Punk cuts a promo about hey, we gotta lower ticket prices, guys, and then you say, hey guys, we're gonna lower the ticket prices. You're too damn late. You're way too damn late. We're we're in WrestleMania week. If you were talking about this two weeks ago, are you kidding me? What is this? WWE needs to be sold. Vince McMahon's so dumb for selling the company to TKO, and they have all of these like, oh, we we need less house shows. No, that's how the wrestlers train with the crowds. Why did you do that? That's dumb for you to do that. That's why there's so many wrestlers now hopping into NXT from time to time. Because they want the live crowd, and they want the live wrestling, and they want to cut a promo and learn how to do all of that and be consistent with that. Like, I don't I don't understand. Oh, we gotta get like there's so many people signed to our company, but we have to cut down on on Ross. No, you don't. You don't have to do that. I'm so passionate about this. This has been one of the worst builds for WrestleMania I've ever seen. You got a Cody Randy match that is riddled with celebrities when you could have built off of, hey, they were they were best friends. Randy built him up, the legacy uh uh stuff. Where's Ted De Biassi at? This and the third, like stupid. I don't want to see this match now because I know for a fact here's Cody and Randy wrestling, and you're gonna have these here's Pat McAfee on the apron. Here's Jelly Roll on the apron. I don't want to see that. You have wrestlers like Julia and Tiffany Stratton and Keanu James missing shows, they're not at WrestleMania, they're not on SmackDown. Like, what are we doing? A boring build like Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley. How do you make that boring? Jade has his her own fan base from AEW who have who have followed her career. She comes to WWE. She, I mean, she she doesn't go to NXT. They believe that she doesn't need to go to NXT. She goes to NXT and or not goes to NXT, she goes to SmackDown and is immediately killing it with Bianca Belair and Naomi. Like they're in a group. It works. They're all cutting promos together. You put her in another group, why? She's the champion. It's so dumb that she's the champion. And this is what you do with her? Like this. Hey, we're we're gonna get Meach in and BFAP. Why? No, you don't need to do that. And then Rhea Ripley is like, uh and people are like, oh, well, Rhea Ripley's gotta win. No, she doesn't. She didn't need to win. She doesn't need to win anymore. She can literally ask for a match because her name is a draw. I don't even know how you make that build boring. Uh Brock versus Oba, I'm very excited about. Oba Femi has to win. 100%. You can't have Brock win. Brock's got a lawsuit or is part of a lawsuit. No. Brock's old? No. He's not gonna be with WWE following WrestleMania. What does he gain from winning? Brock has to lose. Brock to me, when he took that first power bomb when Oba Femi came out and the whole crowd was on fire. Oba Femi has to win. If Oba Femi loses, this is 100% on Triple H. You're going to lose fans. I'm excited for Roman and CM Punk. I would say CM Punk has to win that match. And that's pretty much it. I mean, outside of Becky and AJ Lee again, like that's not really. We've already had that match, and AJ Lee won multiple times. I don't know why. It's whatever. I just I don't I don't care for it. I just I'm not really invested into that match because you've already had it. I'm very upset about the Maxine Depree build. You should have made that a triple threat. You know, again, back to the Cody Randy match. You should have made it should have been Cody versus Randy versus Jacob Fatu versus Drew McIntyre. That should have been a fatal four-way match for the title. And the title shouldn't even be on Cody, it should be on Drew McIntyre, who all he did was piss people off for two months. And the and the I'm I'm I'm telling you, here's the worst possible outcome is one match. There's one match that has the worst possible outcome. If you have Sami Zayn win this match against Drick Williams, I'm I don't I don't know what I'm gonna do. You have kicked Mello off the show entirely. He was a so intricate to the build of that championship. I think it's for the US title. Yeah, the intercontinental title is on in a ladder match with Penta. If you have Sami Zayn win that match, I'm out. Like you're your booking is all over the place. Oh my goodness, bro. I just and then and then also, bro, it's this stuff outside. I under I think NXT already had a really big show. I think it was Stan of Deliver. So they're not gonna have an NXT big show. I think it's NXT Revenge, and they're just gonna have that throughout the week. But also, the Hall of Fame is like midnight. I'm not watching that. Like I respect Hall of Fame. Who are going to be in the Hall of Fame 100%? It's very difficult to stay up that late when you're or I'm already working crazy hours and I'm very exhausted, very exhausted and doing stuff. Um, I just don't know. Uh also, I didn't like that John Cena was they were trying to bring back John Cena to be the host of WrestleMania, bro. Just retired. Like, yo, what are we doing? I'm so done with TKO, bro. Like, what is this? This is so this is literally the worst build for WrestleMania ever. I know that there's more matches. I don't really care for them. It's it's gonna be a long weekend. Man, if some of these people win these matches, dog. Sami Zayn has to be in the main championship picture. I don't know why he's still in the damn mid-card. Why is he still in the damn mid-card? He just had a great feud with Kevin Owens. You built him up as the star with the bloodline. You brought him in the NXT. He was an NXT champion. He's won intercontinental titles, he's won U.S. titles, he's won tag team championships. Stop having him in the mid-card. He has to move up. There's so many new talents coming in, and they're winning, they're winning titles already. Stop. Please stop. I get so upset. But, anyways, ladies and gentlemen, I think that's a podcast. Sorry that I went a little overboard with the pro wrestling turnbuckle, but dog, I really had to get that off my chest because it's crazy. Um, I'm gonna get into more of. Oh, and that's official, ladies and gentlemen. The first pick of the WNBA draft, Ozzy Fud UConn to the Dallas Wings. She will be playing with Paige Beckers. That should be a sight to see. Um very excited. Um but as the WNBA draft starts, sports logic must end. My name is Javin Canada. This has been sports logic. Ladies.
