Yo back again, we talking about the NBA,summer league trades and rumors. The Caitlyn Clark situation and why no one should care about her outside noise. Detroit players upsetting me. UFC & pro wrestling Turnbuckle.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, it is your boy, JC. I am can you hear me? Yes, you can hear me. I am about to make a shorter version of this episode. I was gonna write a lot more stuff, but I think I'm just gonna keep it condensed. A little short and sweet. Tell you a few thoughts, and then oh that's new, but yeah, uh, keep it short and sweet. Uh I know it's been a while. I know that I've kind of taken a little bit of a hiatus hiatus again. Um that's because even though the news has been consistent, I've also been very, very busy. And yeah, so that's where we are with that. My name is Javin Canada. This is SportsLogic. Let's get it going. Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, it's the it's your boy, the one and only, Java in Canada, and this is Sporletic. I'm always keeping your mind on sports, baby. What's going on? How are you guys doing today? I feel spectacular. Um after a long day at work, I really wanted to talk talk to y'all about some sports today. At least some of the more I don't know, important topics that have been circling my mind as of late. Um that being said, let's get right into it. How do I feel about the NBA? I miss it already. 100%. The New York Knicks won a championship. We've already talked about that. We've given their congratulations. Uh yay. It took them forever to win a championship. Hey, whatever. I don't really care. Um That being said, hey, hey, there has been a lot of movement and a lot of stopping of movement and a lot of things that have changed over the past um over the past it's been a couple of weeks since free agency, since the draft, um, since major trades have happened. It's it's been at least a week. Um okay. I'm getting man, my phone is blowing up right now. As soon as I start recording, that's when it wants to blow up. Isn't that crazy? Yeah, let's get into it. This is how I feel about the huge trades that have happened. Uh Giannis to the heat. Um, I really like the trade for Giannis. I'm not gonna lie. Uh it's a it's I don't know who's center, who's at center. And one of my coworkers told me, well, Bam can play the center. No, he can't. He's a four. You need a center. And you'll see when the season starts, season starts back up, that yeah, you need a center and you need a five, and you need it bad. You need somebody who Giannis can play the three, even though he'll be a bigger three, and Bam can play the four, or they can switch between the both of them, because Bam can also shoot the ball a little bit better. And Giannis is very athletic still. He's in his prime, and he gets to the rim with ease. Now he dealt with injuries last season, but I don't, you know, I'm not really too focused on that. I do know for a fact that things will change, especially with his time away from the team and everything that he's gun gunning for since then. Um, so on and so forth. So there's that when it comes to Giannis. When it comes to BAM, I like to say I'm I'm interested. Um, there have been LeBron rumors to Miami. I don't like that idea because there's that would immediately put pressure on the Miami Heat to win the championship, not just to be in contention, or not just to be good. I think that there will be a very good team. Obviously, it's Giannis and Bam, and then whoever else winds up signing there. Very interesting, very intriguing. However, I don't know what to make of this team quite yet. They've added some shooting, and we'll see how they fill out the rest of this roster. They don't really have, I mean, they they have young talent, but I don't know really what to make of it. So that's just I don't know what to make of it yet. Uh Jalen Brown. My goodness. Jalen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers. Again, my goodness. Tyrese Maxie, VJ Edgecomb, Jalen Brown. That's that enough. That that's crazy. In and of itself, that's insane. Vijay Edgecomb coming off of a great rookie campaign. Tyrese Maxie, very good young guard. Um then Jalen Brown, former finals MVP. Like, that's crazy. Now I didn't know that now. I didn't mention Dean Wade. It was a great signing, it was a great pickup by um Philadelphia, and I didn't mention Joel Embiid. There's a reason for that. Though the guard and the wing spots look amazing with Jalen Brown and VJ Edgecomb and Tyrese Maxie, I don't like Embiid there. Um it's gonna come down to when he's when he's doing these play. Now, it's a difference between Maxie and Edgecomb. When Embiid's on the floor, he can kind of command the offense. Now, when you add a Jalen Brown into that, he can't just sit in the paint anymore. He can't, you know, hey, I'm about to post up and do this crazy kick out move and try to shoot the ball. I'm not interested in that. Like, I don't want to see that. Um, also, there's an issue with his health. The reason that the Philadelphia Philadelphia 76ers got eliminated amidst the Knicks who were on fire is Joel Embiid just getting hurt again, not being able to play, and they didn't really know what else to do behind him. Um, as soon as Jalen Brown got traded to the Sixers, I said to trade Joel Embiid because this is getting irritating. It's amazingly irritating. Um I don't like the idea that it's I just don't like that idea that hey, it's it's it's Jalen Brown and Vijay Edgecomb who they're both kind of slashers to the rim. They need that free-flowing offense to go from the three-point line if they feel like shooting threes to the paint where they feel like getting a dunk or a layup off. They can't do that if Joel Embiid's just sitting in the paint, waiting for his post move, waiting for his opportunity to shoot over top whatever big is out there. Defending him. I don't like them. I don't like the idea. Now, I do love the move for Philadelphia. 100%. It creates crazy depth. Um, I know that people have said, I don't, I don't, I don't know what Boston was doing. From top to bottom, left and right, I have no clue. I don't know why in all of this time it has been. Oh my goodness. Well, we we tried to trade for Giannis, that didn't work. So here, that's not what you do. Finals MVP in his prime and you trade him. What were you thinking? Why was that why was that the ultimate outcome? And I understand, well, we had to choose between the Jays, and if we had to choose between him or Jason Tatum, we're gonna choose. You didn't have to do that. I still don't understand the trade. It's been a week. It's been a little over a week, maybe even two weeks, since Jalen Brown has been traded. Today is the 14th. It's been it might have been two weeks since Jalen Brown has been traded. I still don't understand to this day why you could not reconcile with Jalen Brown. That man is very smart. I don't understand what the plan was there. Hey, I'm gonna. We did this and we did that, and then the Bucks asked for Hugo Gonzalez, and y'all said no, rescinded the offer, and then created this situation, I think in your own minds, this is on Brad Stevens, where you're just thinking, oh, we can't bring him back. We got to do something different. Like, at least talk to him. I know you're irritated by the Twitch stuff, but at least talk to him. You traded him within the the division? An in division trade? Why did you do that? Not only an in-division trade, you traded him to the team that knocked you out of the playoffs. You traded him to the team. I I just didn't, I don't, I still don't get it. I still don't understand after all of this time. That's so crazy that y'all would do that. That's insane. Uh last but not least, uh well, I mean LeBron. LeBron's rumored to five teams. I don't care. It's Cleveland or Golden State to me. Most people, well, what about Philly? But what about Miami? It's Cleveland or it's Golden State. It's Cleveland because he can still contend while he's doing his farewell tour. 100%. He can still contend. If he's more serious about contending, in my opinion, go to Golden State. I don't know what Miami is. If you throw LeBron in there, it creates a team of monsters. Great. You have no guard play. LeBron's not a guard. Like, we're not going to do this whole thing where oh, LeBron's a guard. LeBron can also ball handle. I understand that. LeBron's not a guard, though. Can you please stop? 100%. Um, and then John Morant got traded from the Memphis Grizzlies to the Portland Trailblazers. Um, I don't know why Portland did this. I'm sorry for speaking so weirdly monotone. But yes, I I really I'm really confused by this move. It was confusing to me in and of itself. I have no clue why they did this. Um they have four guards, they have, I think, a four and a center, and then they have bench fours and bench centers. They don't really have a wing because they gave up Jeremy Grant and somebody else to get Ja Morant, which I'm con again, Damian Lillard, Scoot Henderson, Ja Morant, Shayden Sharp, Drew Holliday. I don't know why you have all of these guards. I'm still very confused. I don't I don't know. I just I don't know. I have no clue. Uh keeping a basketball. I love what the WNBA is doing. Um, I love the games that it's promoting. I love that the Elena Dream are taking over. I love what I'm seeing out of the Minnesota Lynx. Oh my goodness. Olivia Miles is still going crazy. She's still having an amazing rookie campaign. And I am so excited for Nafesia Collier to be returning. That being said, there's a little bit of craziness outside of the other teams. And I just wanted to point that out that there's a little bit of insanity with the other teams. Like, for instance, um the Caitlin Clark situation. I don't know what it is anymore. I have no clue what it is. I don't know what I don't. It's the it's the fans in Indiana. Um some guy was being racist. I think it was a Hilton manager. He was being racist towards Chelsea Gray, and he got fired from his job today. I like you don't know this woman. You don't know these people, and racism is expensive, and it always has been and always will be. So being racist is never the move. I don't know why that even occurred. Um, and that in and of itself was crazy. But the crazier notion that I'm seeing is like it's it's the lawmakers who are standing up for Caitlin Clark. Stop being so rough on Caitlin. This isn't college, guys. This isn't NIL deals, and she doesn't, she's not going to classes where there's like, hey, they're just recruits and there's no, you know, storylines unless you're a really good team and this, that, and the third. No, there's this is the WNBA. She's amongst the best of the best in the world. Caitlin Clark, number one, has to play defense, has to play better defense. She has to play defense like a small guard. I don't know who's telling her to play defense like a big. What is she doing? Also, man, I don't like the flopping. I don't, I don't like the flopping. I don't like the embellishment. I don't like the oh my goodness. I don't even know what to call it. The crying. Mind you, she's fouling people and then immediately collapsing to the floor. Like, what are you doing? And then is she also doing load management? Like, what is this? Why is she doing load management? Like, she's this is her second or third year in the league. Like, what is that? She's she's got a crazy shoe drop, you know. I'm saying, I don't know how her offense looks. Some games are hit, she gets like 15 to 20 points, some games are missed. She's getting like nine with and she's one for seven from three. The Caitlin Clark that I seen in Iowa, now this isn't Iowa because it's the WNBA and it's Indiana, but the Caitlin Clark that I seen in Iowa was making plays. She was a playmaker, but she was also playing defense. She has to play defense like a small guard. Like, hey, if they're gonna barrel through you, pull the chair. If they're posting you up because you're smaller than them, again, pull the chair. If they're doing crazy cross moves, figure out the path of the ball and try to get a steal. Stop like you being a cone or zero on defense is really detrimental. Oh man, they're just they're being mean towards Caitlin. This is the best of the best women in the world from national championships to national champions to overseas champions to professionals on every level. Here they are stateside and overseas. This is not Iowa, this is not the NCAA. You're not gonna skate through your schedule, especially this. Like, what is this? You're arguing with coaches, you're flopping every time somebody touches you, you're flopping when you're defending someone. Like, what is this? You reach for the ball and then threw your head back? Like, what what what are you doing, Caitlin? Don't do this. Don't do that. I don't like that. I've never liked that. It's weird that you would do that. It's even weirder that you would go through with that. It's it's so weird that you would do that. It's so yeah. It's it's it's so weird that she would just she's doing that, and then the first thing you're saying is oh, is oh my god, somebody help her, and these lawmakers are coming out of nowhere, and you have to protect Caitlin. The thing I the thing I don't like the most, right, is that you're seeing Olivia Miles, and this is how I know you're not a WNBA fan. You're seeing players like Asia Wilson, you're seeing players like Olivia Miles, you're seeing players like Nafisa Collier, you're seeing players like Paige Beckers, you're seeing players like Sonia Citron, you're seeing players like Kiki Irifin, you're seeing players like Angel Reese. You are seeing the best of the best Ray Burrell, the best of the best Kelsey Plum, the best of the best. And the and everyone's saying, well, Caitlin Clark's the Michael Jordan of the WNBA. We don't know what she is yet. We don't know what she is because she cannot consistently score, nor can she defend good. Please stop. I beg you to stop. I beg you, I beg you so much to stop. Please stop. She's the Michael Jordan. She hasn't won anything, she hasn't done anything, she hasn't broken a single record. And she's doing load management and flopping and whatever. And then whenever and then whenever anybody plays defense and she falls to the floor, her rabid fan base goes crazy. Guys, this is professional basketball. This ain't the NCAA. Grow up. Stop being racist, stop being unprofessional, stop being dumb. I don't like that. I don't like any of that. I hope that doesn't fall on deaf ears. 100%. But at the same time, it's like, come on, bro, what is this? What do you mean? No, I don't want that. I don't want any of this. Let's take a break. I'm gonna talk about the Detroit players. This is sports logic. Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo. It's the host of the most challenge of post job in Canada. Again, thank you guys for listening to my podcast. I really appreciate it. Um, I do I don't do this for the money, I don't do this for the fame, I do this for the love of the game. Also, I want to make this my job one day. So, um, please follow me on TikTok. Please follow me on Twitter and follow my YouTube page. I will be posting. Um, at some point, I will be making a live episode of Sports Logic going live on TikTok, and hopefully y'all can see me there. Um when I'm not super duper busy. But yes, 100%. Um I will be making a a live episode of Sports Logic. Unfortunately, I couldn't do it today. I've been very, very busy this summer, but yes, I will do that very soon. Now back to the show. These Detroit players are making me angry. Derek Skubel, Dylan Larkin, Jill Endurant. Not really Dylan Larkin. He called for his trade. Um, Steve Iserman has been doing a terrible job as I don't know if he's president or GM of the Detroit Red Wings. And I've been sitting here just bummed out. Um, hometown kid, love Detroit, loved the Red Wings, loved everything about the Red Wings, wanted to be a Red Wing, and for him to just sit back and go, you know, I'm sick of this. I want to be traded after going to play with a lot of other um. Hockey stars. I kind of understand where he's coming from 100%. I'm not gonna sit back and be like, oh my goodness, he should be, he should, he should be traded. Matter of fact, after actually, after giving up some time, Dylan Larkin actually isn't a man that's pissing me off. It's more Steve Eiserman. I don't know how you're running this team. He needs to do a better job. Or I'd fire him actually. I would not keep Steve Eserman. I'm not I'm not joking. This isn't, I don't know how many years this has been. Six years, seven years. It's been a decade since the Red Wings have made the playoffs. This this a team that used to have a dynasty. I don't know how, how we've gotten to this point. And that and that is just one of the other problems. Um I listened to 97 won the ticket today, and they were asking who's the one that's making you the most annoyed? Is it Durin, Larkin, or Scoobyl? Um, Larkin's the least. Larkin is the least. He he demanded a trade because his GM is failing him. Completely understandable. I can't fault you for that. Um but when it comes to Tarek Scoobyl, sign the extension, get traded, or shut your mouth. I don't want to hear from Tarek Scuble anymore. Now the Tigers have done better over these last few weeks of games. I know that their schedule gets a lot easier, and I know that things get a lot better for them. But here's the one of the multiple paths that you could take. You could keep Terek Scuba. Hey, we're all in, this, that, and the third, but you still have to make trades for a better bet. I don't, I didn't, I'm so glad they traded Jamai Jones today. They traded Jamai Jones to the Boston Red Sox, and I'm so glad. He was terrible. When Javi Baez comes back, trade him. Oh, what Javi Javi Baez, trade him. When Spencer when they come back from the All-Star break, because the All-Star game is either today or tomorrow, I think. Um trade, please trade 100%. Um Spencer Torkelson. I just don't see it anymore. It's the strikeouts, it's the hits into players, and it creates a double play or just a single out. It's just bad. It's the fact that we just need a base hit, and he doesn't even swing for the fences. And then a lot of times more often than not, it's a strikeout. And I'm sick of him. Riley Green has taken over. Carrie Carpenter has taken over. I don't want to see Spencer Torquelson anymore. I need somebody else in this rotation big time. And I need Spencer Torkelson gone, please. For the love of everything that is holy, please. Um when it comes to Tarek Scoobel again. If you if you want to go all in and keep him cool, you need bats. If you trade him and you get a King's ransom, you could still contend for the rest of this year, maybe even make the playoffs. You're not a championship contender. And I but I'll be proud of the fact that you made a major move and you stuck with it. But I don't trust that Tarek Scoobel wants to be in Detroit. It makes me mad to no end. I have no clue how we've gotten to this point, and it's been very weird, to say the least. But Scott Harris has to do this, do his job, and I'm really tired of him. Like enough with these. Oh guys, we just gotta stand, Pat, and then we're gonna win. And then we go through the rest of the season, we make the playoffs, and then we lose. That's not what we're not, we're not that's not what we're supposed to be doing, Scott. You said we'd win. You forgot the win part. So Scoobyl's number two. The number one player that's been making me really upset is Jalen Duran. Jalen Duren, for the last couple of years, has made the playoffs and basically just disappeared every time. Um, and it's it's only been two years. His playoff debut was last year. Ugh. He was bad defensively, his points weren't that high, whatever. It was much worse this past postseason. 60 wins, 19-11. Guy does good, third team all NBA, and you're thinking, okay, we're ready. I know Cade's got this collapsed lung, but he's coming back and he's ready to play. And this is it, and we're gonna win, and we're gonna go far. Well, the go far part went like that. Was 100%. We went pretty far. The problem was Durren went from 19 to 11 and 11 to like eight, uh 8 and 5, 8 and 4.5, 5? I don't know. One or the two. Piss me off. You've been absolutely terrible in the playoffs. We get eliminated by Cleveland, a team we could have could have beaten. And I still believe that to this day, a team we could have beaten in the playoffs. Probably gave New York at least one or two games and then got eliminated. Hey, we went out to the champions. That's understandable. But then the but then the offseason starts. Trajan Langdon wants a lot of stars. He wants star power. He needs somebody to take the pressure off Cade. Completely understandable. Got you. What do you want? We know that you're due for a huge extension. We want to keep you cheap. Because we know for an absolute fact that we need to fill out the rest of this roster with good players who can shoot, somebody else next to Cade who can also score, and Cade and the SAR who can really bring their own. But Durin demanded max money immediately, red flag number one. Then when they were so far apart on trades or so far apart on the money aspect, you demand for a sign and trade by two teams. No. So you want to go from a possible playoff perennial, possibly if with added talent, championship level contending team to Sacramento? The Kings, who just drafted a rookie point guard, who still have Zach Levine on payroll, who just waived DeMar DeRozan, and for some reason still have Damonis Sabonis on the team, who has been looking. He has been demanding that he leaves from Sacramento. Keegan Murray, who went from a really good coach learning, learning the ropes, looking really good, to I I I don't know. What Keegan Murray's disappeared. I haven't seen anything from him. That's crazy that you what you demanded a trade to Sac. See the LA stuff, I didn't care about the LA stuff. Oh well, he they said he could be a max player. And then they traded for Walker Kessler. Yeah, they didn't believe in you. They didn't believe in your ability. They didn't believe in the things that you could do because they would have offered you the max money. And immediately, at that set point in time, you I don't even know what to make of this anymore. This is why Durin makes me the most angry. You sat here with best intentions to, hey, we're gonna win a championship, this, that, and a third, and I'll really look good next to Cade, but I did it. No, you didn't. Because if Cade was not here, you don't do that well. People have questioned your motor, your defense, and the fact that you rebound and don't sometimes. Sometimes you're not you're not this elite rebounder. You're a rim runner who doesn't play defense, who gets blocks occasionally. That's not that's not good for a 6'11 big. And then terrible playoff performance. And then the offseason starts. I want Sacramento. What? What are you talking about? But then the piece day resistance is that all of his suitors went away with the realism was the fake stuff was the Lakers were like, hey, we can offer you the max deal. And then the Lakers went and traded for Walker Kessler. What? Oh, junk. What do you mean? No, I no, that's no, why'd you why'd you do that? Because they didn't want you. It's as simple as that. They wanted a legit possibly elite big who could either stretch the floor, rebound, play defense, or get blocks. Who, if one person boxes them out, they can they can still grab a rebound. Because you, Duran, can't do that. From time to time to time in the playoffs, you were getting boxed out by Wendell Carter. What? You were getting boxed out by I'm sorry, Evan Mobley, not even Jared Allen. Jared Allen was there, confused. He's like, I'm seven foot. Why is nobody out here? And then here's Jalen Duran getting boxed out by Evan Mobley. And then to make matters worse, Evan Mobley can stretch the floor. He can shoot the ball. And you refuse to play defense on somebody who's out there shooting the ball. Your jumpers whack. You have no handle. You can't pass the ball like that at all. And you barrel into the paint on every possession. That's why they have to get shooters around you. Because yet again, we're faced with an Andre Drummond type situation. And no, not the Andre Drummond today, where he's standing in the corner and hitting threes. No, we get we get Andre Drummond when he started out in the league. Except you're not an elite rebounder. And now we're at this point. He has not signed a deal. The Pistons won him back. But you know for a fact that they're going to sign you for cheap and they're going to keep you for cheap. And I don't know why you thought you were going to get crazy money when you didn't do anything spectacular. You are not the cornerstone of this team. No, that's Kate Cunningham. That's Asar Thompson. We need you to improve your offense and be able to rebound the ball. Also, we need your motor to improve. So you might need to lose a little bit of weight. Jalen Durham made me mad because of the simple fact that he has not signed this deal yet. I don't know if he's still out there looking for suitors. I don't know if he's in hiding or anything of that nature. Come back to the Pistons, sign this stupid little contract, and get to it. Because you're creating a distraction to a point where Trajan Langdon can't do his job, like try to get a star player next Decade. Which is what the Pistons desperately need. The Pistons need a Kyrie. The Pistons need a Trey Murphy. The Pistons need a tr uh uh Peyton Watson. Somebody who can either play defense, ball handle themselves, or anything of that nature. Anything else of that nature. But yeah. Someone who can space the floor, someone who's a microwave, somebody who can feed you the ball while you're sitting in the paint and doing absolutely nothing. Hopefully, not getting three second calls. I like what Trajan Langdon did so far. He traded for Isaiah Joe, really good player from Oklahoma City. He traded for, or traded for, signed for John Collins, really good player. He's been linked to us for years. We finally got him. He can also shoot the ball, and he's still really athletic, so he can also dunk it. So we so we'll just see what happens there. But I didn't like that he committed to Asar and Jalen Durin. I would have moved off of one of them. One of them, probably being Durren. Asar Thompson has a really elite defense. He has an elite defense. He has a good handle. He has an ability to shoot, even though he chooses not to. He has an ability to shoot. Jalen Durin doesn't have that. He barely has a handle. He can shoot from time to time, but it's iffy. And his defense is wavering. Asara Thompson's so good at defense. Jalen Dern got defensive votes. Jalen Dern didn't do much of anything. What did he do? He didn't he didn't do anything. Anyways, come back, sign a deal. My goodness. Sick of this. Um France lost in the World Cup today. Dang, Mbappe's gone. That was a lot of people's odds on favorite. I was actually gonna make the bet today that uh that they would win. But that's not happening, so we move. Um outside of that, UFC happened this past weekend. Let me just tell you about it. I didn't watch any of the lower cards. Um I had missed a lot of it. I was with my girlfriend, my loving, caring, and sweet and beautiful girlfriend. And I we watched a few matches, we were hyped about the fight. A lot of he there was a lot more energy. The crowd was on fire, this, that, and a third. We get to the cult main event. And Patty Plint Pimblet puts what's his name, BSD, uh Benoit Saint-Denis, um, in the craziest submission I think I've ever seen. I don't think I've ever seen a submission like that. Um completely he slips, he looks like a guillotine, he rolls around, he puts a leg up, rolls around again, he's flipping over, he has his neck already, he has his arm tangled with his neck, he's latching on, the guy's trying to get away, he can't, he rolls, Patty rolls with him, he can't. Patty wins via submission. Craziest submission I've ever seen. I don't I don't know. All of his pressure was on his neck and his head, and he just choked him. And Patty asked him, he was like, hey, ask him if he's I think he's out. And the ref saw that, he moved his arm. Hey, it's over. That's it. That was the fight. Yes, so that that was that. Yeah. Um, very great performance by Patty Plimbett Pimblett. I think he should be in line for a championship opportunity, but somebody on Twitter said, no, he needs one more fight. He needs one more fight, then he should challenge for a championship. And I was like, okay, either way, he's in the picture, he's on the graphic. That's all I that's all I need to know. Patty Pimblett has been fighting for years now. He hasn't really held gold yet. I really want to see him hold the gold. 100%. The very next fight was Max Holloway, Connor McGregor. Everyone's hype about Conor McGregor returning. It's been five years, it's leg injury, this then a third. Um, that was one of the worst fights I've ever seen. I can't sugarcoat it, guys. I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. I'm not gonna make it sweet for you with 60 seconds of absolute bullshit. It was the it was one of the worst fights I've ever seen. Umor McGregor steps into the ring, the match starts, Connor lunges at Max and throws a kick. Max kind of ducks, kind of blocks, you know, steps to the side, Connor slips. Okay, he slipped to the floor. I mean, it was a crazy lunge. Obviously, he's gonna fall to the ground. But then Connor threw another kick and another kick, but he couldn't hold his balance. He kept slipping. He kept slipping all over the floor, all over the ground. Um what? I don't what's going on? Max is like, whoa, what's going on? And he points at his leg. Connor steps forward again, he throws a punch. The ref's confused. Max is confused. He kind of throws a punch again, he throws punches on the ground. He lets Connor stand back up. Connor's up, he's on his feet, and then there's a limp. The ref steps in between Connor and Max, waves the entire fight off. Um, the only happiness I got from this fight was the fact that after I had bet on it the first time, it was like it was like a four-legg parlay. I bet on it again because one of my legs lost. I bet on it again, and they both won. The fighters I picked won. And I was like, oh, hey, money. You know what I mean? Hey, you know, uh, but if you have a gambling problem, hey, I don't promote that. Don't gamble. Um, I don't have a gambling problem because yeah, I just I don't gamble that much. One, I don't gamble much, two, I don't gamble a lot, and three, I know my limits. So 100%. Um, that being said, yeah, that was the worst fight I've ever seen. 100%. I'm not gonna sugarcoat that. That was very much not what I've wanted to see. One of the worst fights I've ever seen in my entire life. I was very um disappointed. Um, I wanted to see Connor McGregor get his head taken off. It's been five years for Connor, guys. Five years. He's 37 or 38. Um now it's between two different leg injuries. He's dealt with civil cases, he's dealt with drugs and alcohol, he's dealt with um the craziness on the outside, um, him being an actor for five minutes, um, multiple appearances. He's trying to do boxing again. I'm not into that either. I'm off. Connor McGregor's done, guys. If you if you haven't heard it anywhere else, you heard it here. Connor McGregor needs to retire. In his prime, one of the great champions I think I've ever seen out of the UFC. One of the one of the greatest two two class champions I've ever seen. Um, but I didn't like the outside stuff. The fighting, the old man, the the SA charges, the just so much controversy. Oh now the racism, so much controversy on the outside. Uming that for an absolute fact, this was supposed to be something fun, this was supposed to be something good, and it just turned into not, and I was very disappointed by it. Um, I was disappointed by the fight, not the outcome. The outcome was that I got extra money. So I was happy over that, but unfortunately, yes. Um And I feel like the UFC should refund people their money back. That was a really quick main event. One of the fighters destroyed themselves. And it really, it really just destroys credibility in the UFC when in back-to-back events you've had a UFC White House event, which you got fighters talking stuff about Michelle Obama. It's all over the White House lawn. I heard that there was threats. I don't know. Just all of this stuff about everything that was going on with the UFC White House event, which was con that was controversial in and of itself. And then you follow up with Conor McGregor hurting himself within the first few seconds of a major fight after a five-year hiatus. And now he has to go back, heal up for a year, and hopefully try to make a return next year. Nah, I'm off that. Nah, we're done. You know, he said he found God. Um, you know, he's praying and this, that, and a third. He came back to UFC. We're done. We're done. I I hear so much, oh, but I want to do boxing. No, we're done, Connor. We're done. We're done with it. We're done with all of it. You can stop. Um I don't want to see it anymore. No one wants to see it anymore.
SPEAKER_01We're really tired of seeing it.
SPEAKER_00I'm really trying to, so uh Yeah. Well we're just gonna wait for a while until the voice thing goes off and then continue to record the last, um the last statement from me, which is the pro wrestling turbuckle, ladies and gentlemen. Sorry for the deep voice. So my theater. Um I watched WWE Monday Night Raw last night.
SPEAKER_01It's Tuesday, so yeah, I gotta do that. Um Yeah, that's just I don't know what to make of that.
SPEAKER_00This news table, it's it's just terrible. Hold on one second, we're gonna take a break.
SPEAKER_03My bad. Um if you didn't hear from Darth Vader over there, we uh we had the we have the pro wrestling turbo buckle. Obviously, it's my takes, uh my two small takes on pro wrestling for this week. NXT's on right now. I'm missing it, unfortunately. Dang, I know. Uh there's an I guess there's a number one contendership uh tonight. Uh I missed it. Where is it? There it is. Number one contenders match for the women's championship. One of the more popular championships in WWE is the NXT Women's Championship because they've made it so prominent over the last few years. Uh, last but certainly not least is that um I watched Monday Night Raw last night. We're gonna skip over the Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins stuff. I don't really, I mean, it's gonna be a good match. I think Roman Reigns is gonna win because yeah. Um this stable, this new stable, um, or it's not even a new stable. They just took a stable and then just added a person to it. Looks absolutely gross. Uh, Maxine Dupree, um, a wrestler that you've had in the wings looking like the next, you know, she was on her own for a while and she was really good, and she could really wrestle and she can do her thing. We're seeing a pattern, though. Like, hey, she looks like a model type, cheerleader type, this, that, and the third. She's also married. Again, like we're doing we're doing this with married wrestlers. I don't get why we're doing this. It's the it's the Dominic Mysterio Liv Morgan angle. Gross. I don't like it. Dominic Mysterio's married. He's been a heel forever and a day. I don't they have to break up the judgment day. I'm so sick of them. But then the vision without Seth Rollins, Braun Breaker still a part of it, should have been a world champion by now. But then it's Maxine Dupree. You added Austin Theory later, and then you added Maxine Dupree later. You still have Logan Paul. Paul Heyman is no longer part of this. Gross. This whole thing is gross. And then they cut a whole segment where it's it's this new vision in the Alpha Academy where Otis is getting dissed by Maxine Dupree and it's another low blow, but the low blow is thrown by Austin Theory. Um, Tazawa gets speared, speared by Braunbreaker. Why did you do that to him? That was not fair. That's not fair. Tizhawa's so little. Why did you do that to him? Um that group looks gross. You know, Maxine Dupree jumping into Austin Theory's arms, and they're making out. People have said that Maxine Dupree is married, and you're just like, ew. Like, trips, what are we doing here? Like, this doesn't build on anyone's character. I don't know how good or bad this is. I just don't know. Why are you doing this weird pattern? And it's just like it's hard to watch. You don't want to see Logan Paul. Austin Theory comes back, less hair. He's only wrestling for the tag team championship, but we don't know how far that's gonna go. Braun Breaker should be a world champion by now, but you're wasting his time with these segments. Paul Heyman's in and out of the picture. Seth Rollins isn't even a part of this group anymore. It's all gross, ladies and gentlemen. The vision is gross. It's it's just that vision. And it's not even the vision, just that vision is absolutely just yuck. There's no other way to put that. Last but certainly not least, Kenny Omega um uh battled MJF for the AW Championship. Love to see it. Um, it was a hellacious battle. I didn't get to see it last week. I did see a few clips though, um, and they made they made it look really good. Um, and I like what they're building with um Kenny Omega. I hope it's not a short title reign, but I love that Tony Khan is pulling the trigger on championships. He's pulling the trigger on championship reigns mid midweek. He knows that his shows are few and far between. You gotta do something to build towards that. And maybe your champion losing a title is part of the story. And I really like what Tony Khan's doing. AEW Loki has been on fire as of late. The women's divisions, the men's divisions, what the what Moxley's doing, what um it's not the combat, it's the Death Riders. Death Riders are doing, what Willow Nightingale's doing, Tecla's doing, Mercedes Monet's doing, um uh Chris Statlander's doing, even if it's house shows. I think she was at a house show and some fan was like, F you, Chris! F you, Chris Statlander. She was like, What did I do? I don't I don't know what I did. I'm very confused. What did I do? Uh, but it's very entertaining. I'm I'm I'm liking what I'm seeing. It's a lot of creativity out of AEW. They're using their talent very well, even though some wrestlers might take hiatus, might come back, might return, this, that, and the third. He's creating like newer and newer storylines, and he's he's on fire with it. Don't kill the fire, Tony. Don't kill the fire out. I know I was really uh critical of Tony Khan a few years ago. Don't kill the fire, fire, Tony. Excuse me. I like what you're doing. I like what you're doing. Um, ladies and gentlemen, do you like do you like what I did? Um try to keep it short and sweet. I know I play with the voice thing a little bit. Um, so don't be scared by the voice thing. Uh yeah, I'm gonna use that a little bit sometimes. And a little bit of the stuff that I saved on my on my on everything. Um other news that comes up, I'll I'll bring it to you guys as soon as possible. If not, then you know I'll see you guys next time. Um, I love to keep your mind on sports. My name is Javin Canada, and this is sports logic. Ladies,
