Let's kick things off with this week's Monday Night Raw. I've only just finished watching Monday Night Raw, so it is completely fresh in my mind. We have brand new world tag team champions in the form of AJ Lee. Uh wow, ignore that. AJ Styles and Dragon Lee. And the reason I say I say AJ Lee is because after the fact of them winning the belt, they were discussing backstage what the name of their tag team should be. I like AJ Lee, but AJ Styles uh came out and said, look, we can't have AJ Lee. There's probably somebody who is already called AJ Lee, and he would be correct. What are you guys calling AJ Styles and Dragon Lee? This brand new tag team that's formed over the last couple of months. What a great match between them and the judgment day, by the way. Finn Balor, JD McDonough, Dragon Lee, and AJ Styles put on an absolute banger to kick off the night. And AJ Styles and Dragon Lee are taking home the belts. What a week that has been for the phenomenal one AJ Styles, by the way. Nine days ago, he was wrestling John Cena in in arguably match of the year. One of John Cena's best ever, one of AJ Styles' best ever. It was a love letter to wrestling. I referred to that quite a bit in last week's episode of the podcast. I'm so happy for AJ Styles right now. We know that 2026 is going to be his final year as a professional wrestler, at least in WWE. We don't know what that looks like outside of WWE, but AJ Styles, man, he is having some run at the winner. And him being in my top three favorites of all time, I'm super, super happy. I want to see the continuous run go on and on and on. AJ Styles, Dragon League, brand new World Tag Team titles. What does this mean for the Judgment Day? Does the Judgment Day break up from here? Obviously, there's tension that's been there for a very long time between Finn Balor and Dominic Mysterio. Dominic Mysterio successfully retaining his belt, whereas the other two males in that group, Finn Balor and JD McGunner, do lose their belts. Dom is the only male double champion. Dom is the only champion in the judgment day. What is that going to look like? Speaking of Dominic Mysterio, Dominic Mysterio gets the win. Another cheating victory, may I add? He gets the low blow over Rusev. I love that match. I am loving seeing Dominic Mysterio doing this whole cheat gimmick, right? This whole this whole Eddie Guerrero gimmick, let's call it. I'm absolutely loving it. Like crazy. Um, Dominic Mysterio, double champ, man. Double champ. Who is gonna take any of them belts? Maybe a potential John Cena, but we see, we see Jay Uso becomes the number one contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The night kicked off with Adam Pierce. Adam Pierce told us that Seth Rollins is out. He has had surgery on the shoulder, and we are gonna be missing out on Seth Rollins for some time. He is out of action. The WWE World Heavyweight Championship has been vacated. We opened the show with Adam Pierce. Adam Pierce was cut off by the Vision. Brombreaker, Bronson Reed, and the Oracle, the wise man, Paul Heyman. Uh get out the car. Bronbreaker is holding that big gold world heavyweight title. Uh Adam Pierce takes it off him. He tells us tonight we're gonna have a uh number one contender, Battle Royale, and that is what we had. We have a question on that later on in the show. I'm gonna get to that when I get to that. Um, Kabuka Warriors want gold. They are telling us that they want tag team gold. We're probably gonna get a match between them and Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss very, very soon. Maxine Dupree gets the DQ win over Becky Lynch. Becky Lynch uh is not happy with the Oracle Paul Heyman. Obviously, why would he be? Why would she be? Paul Heyman offered Becky Lynch an opportunity to join the Vision. She said, We still we could still take you on, Becky. Uh Becky was pretty swift to decline that, but nevertheless, that offer still does stand. Maxine Dupree had a great performance again this week. That match ends in a DQ. We're probably gonna get a rematch for the women's intercontinental title in the coming weeks, and I'm excited for that because Maxine Dupree right now is growing really, really well. She's under the guidance of Natalia at the uh the Heart Foundation dungeon or the dungeon, and she looks like she's doing really well. I've seen a lot of training videos of Maxine Dupree, and yeah, she looks like she's really coming on leaps and bounds, and I'm excited to see where she goes with it. I mean, I, in all honesty, if I was her, would be dropping Otis and Tezawa, which is pretty sad, but Otis and Tezawa can go on and be a tag team and and you know try and get towards the that championship goal. I think the division, uh the raw tag division at least, needs more tag teams. Why don't we have Otis and Tezawa go after the tag titles? And why don't we have Maxine Dupree look around that middle card scene? I quite like the thought of that. I like I quite like to see Maxine Dupree really going for it now, whilst also the other two guys crack on with what they are gonna do as well. Overall, I think that was a really good week of Raw as well. I forgot to mention Roxanne Perez versus the women's world champion Stephanie Vaca. That was a great match as well. Stephanie does end up getting the win, gets beaten up then by Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, and then Nicky Bella gets involved. We hear Nicki Bella's music's hit. She runs down to the ring, she takes uh she she takes out Roxanne Perez and uh Stephanie Vicera, unfortunately, trips as she goes for the uh kind of the the the the leap off the top rope. She does trip, bit of an awkward ending there, but nevertheless, a great match. We're probably gonna see uh something around Nikki Bella now as well. We haven't seen her for a series of of weeks or months. Last we saw her actually was in uh Clash of Paris, but another great week for Raw, another great week for WWE SmackDown last week, uh last Friday. Really enjoyable show. The highlight of that show, Dragunoff dethroning Sammy Zayn for the WWE United States Championship. Ilya Draganoff is back and he's better than ever, and he's got a really cool neck tattoo. It's crazy, man. It's crazy. I, for one, did not expect Ilya Dragonoff, and I tried to avoid the all the rumors and speculations that it was Ilya Dragonoff that was backstage. People were coming into the TikTok live and saying, Oh, Dragonoff could be back tonight. And I was just I just didn't want to believe it until I saw it. Sami Zayn comes out first, Ilya Dragonoff's music hits, and what a moment that was, man. I that was a really, really, really good match. Dragonoff took some really big hits as well, a couple of big boots as he was diving into moves. That's just the risk you take when you're Ilya Dragonoff and you are flying into things the way that he flies into them. But I we have to take our hats off here to Sami Zayn. Apparently, Sami Zayn said that he wanted to lose the title to Dragonoff. But let's just go through some of the matches that Sami Zayn had with the United States title. In my opinion, that run with the United States title with Sami Zayn has been the best title run we have seen all year, and nothing comes close to it. He beat John Cena to open up the open challenge. He beat Ray Phoenix, Javon Evans, Alistair Black, Carmelo Hayes, and the final match with Dragonoff. He really did elevate that title. That is the best title run I have seen all year. Every single match was like a oh my god, any of these guys could win it. His match with Cena then turned into a match with Ray Phoenix. Javon Evans from NXT. That boy is bounty. They had a fantastic match. Alistair Black, Carmelo Hayes, the guy, you could we call him, we give him a lot of stick, right? We give Sami Zayn a lot of stick. But when he has done something like that, where he's had six great title defenses, really exciting title defenses, to the point where this has been the best thing on SmackDown for a series of months. We've got to take our hat off to Sami Zayn. He has elevated that title, he has done great things with that title. It's now interesting to see what Ilya Draganoff is going to do with it. He is he gonna continue with the United States title run? I don't think he does. Or the open challenge run, should I say? I don't think he does. I think we have a few more sporadical defenses rather than week in, week out. But I'm I'm very, very interested to see what he does with it. Very happy to see Ilya Draganoff back. He is he is a um he is an absolute world-class wrestler that just looks so seamless in the ring. He looks so comfortable in the ring, and I, for what I'm great, uh really happy to see him back under the WWE banner. Rumor has it he was going to come back a few months later to join the Raw brand, but apparently Friday Night Smackdown needed a shuffle, and I could not agree more. Ilyad Dragonoff returns back on WWE Friday Night SmackDown and wins the Inter, the US title against Sami Zayn. Wow, what a moment. This is a quick reminder that Saturday night main event, by the way, goes down on the first of November. The card yet is not set, and that to this point is eight, nine days away. We better get a move on with that. Let's get ourselves onto the questions, my good friend. We've got some great questions, by the way, today. Some some really, really good questions. Some are a little bit harder than others to answer, but we're gonna try our best. D Pweezy, my friend. He is the owner of the HCW podcast. My good friend Deepweezy. How are you, buddy? I hope you're well. Thank you very much for dropping the question. You are asking who are my top five independent wrestling stars right now, uh, male and female combined. I can't lie to you. I've been sat here thinking about this question more than any question that I have received this week, right? And this is this is such a difficult the issue is is with giving five I'm underselling the work that other wrestlers are doing. So I I made a list, okay? I made a list and we're gonna run through them very, very quickly, okay? You're gonna hear the list that I've got. It's quite a few, okay? I I wasn't sure whether to add TNA talent whilst they are independent. Um they're very much there, right? They're in that North American scene, okay. So we're gonna go, we're gonna go through them, man. We're gonna go through it. Man like Daris, kid like us, like us one, like us two, right? Uh Tate Mayfair, Will Cruz, Rio, Rio is is incredible. Robbie X, we're gonna go Michael Oku, Joe Lando, um Danny Luna. I know we said we weren't gonna go we've gone TNA, TNA, okay. We're going Lana Austin, Drew Parker, Emerson Jane, Kanji. Kanji's a great one. Emerson Jane, absolutely, Sapphire, um, Luke Jacobs and Ethan Allen, absolutely. Uh, did I say Alexis Falcon? Crowley, um, Crowley. I Charles Crowley is is such a talent, man. Such a talent. I didn't mean even to stop on Charles Crowley, but the man is such an entertainer, and that's what I like. He the the he brings the entertainment element into small entertainment, and he is a fantastic wrestler as well. Um, they're just a few. They are just a few that I could think of off the top of my head. Holly Barlow, um uh Ian Skinner, Scott Oberman. Uh, there are so, so many. I I couldn't sit and give you five if I'm honest, because there are genuinely that many. Um, I'm so I'm so passionate about the independent wrestling scene, especially, especially in the UK more than anything in the world. And I want it to succeed. I want all of these wrestlers to go on and do great things. You know, WWE is not the only way anymore. There are some brilliant promotions all around the world uh that I would love to see some of these stars really propelling. You know, there are a lot of incredible independent wrestlers, it's just about them getting their opportunity. And it if it was down to me, every single person would get the opportunity. They really would. Uh, nevertheless, I'm sorry I couldn't pick five, but I hope I hope that gives you a sprinkle of some of the some of the independent wrestling stars that that deserve my props as a minimum. There are definitely a lot more, there really, really are a lot more. The UK independence scene right now is absolutely popping, and I am I'm honestly so proud to watch it grow and get better and better and better. Ethan, my friend, is asking what happens next with the vision. Well, let me tell you what happens next with the vision. I still believe that Austin Theory is gonna join the vision. Um, and that's solely because I think Austin Theory could tag alongside Bronson Reed to take the world tag titles. I've got a feeling that that's the route they're gonna go. That then frees up Bron Breaker to go after the world heavyweight title. He's probably in that place now where he really wants that world heavyweight title. He's saying to Paul Heyman, why did we give up the world? Why did we come to Monday Night Raw tonight with the world title? And why are we leaving without the world title? He makes a great point. He wants the world title, he is not gonna fight for the world title at Saturday night in main event. That is gonna be between Jay Uso and CM Punk. But I've got no doubts that Brombreaker is gonna be up there as well, and that's why I believe that Austin Theory will join the vision. Austin Theory and Bronson Reed will then go after the tag team titles. Another thing that we could consider is Becky Lynch actually could join the vision. Like she she could really go kind of heist of the century against her own husband, the king of heights of the century. Um he could she could absolutely go against Seth and join the vision. I don't know. I like it. I I like it a lot. I can't lie to you. I really, I really, really do like that. Nevertheless, at a minimum, Austin Theory is to join the vision, those two then to go after the world tag the world tag team titles for then Bron Breaker to then be opened up to the world title. I quite like that thought. I'd like to see Austin Theory back as soon as possible, whether that is on his own, going for a go for a mid-title, or whether that is joining an alliance. It is it's a very great question, but it's a very tough question because it's something that my mind is changing on on the weekly. Jack is asking, do you have any advice with regards to staying motivated in the content creation industry? Jack, it's a great question, and I don't even know if I'm if I'm even that qualified to answer the question, but I'm gonna I'm gonna give it my best. Like I I I am a small streamer, I'm a small content creator, I I stay in my own lane, I've got my own people that enjoy my stuff, etc. etc. The thing with being motivated, man, is just is push yourself. Push yourself to do things that get people talking. You see people talking in the chat, like it gets you excited because you know that you've fostered that conversation. But my biggest thing, my biggest thing would be to to be to be consistent. That's the biggest thing out of everything. Like posting several times a day if possible, posting a niche, wrestling is a niche. Try to hone down on one single topic, in my honest opinion. Like if you are juggling many different content pieces, you know, maybe you like football, and maybe you like wrestling, and maybe you like cricket, and maybe you like rugby. Don't try and make one channel four different things because uh people don't know what you're about. People don't know is he gonna cover this or is he gonna cut because if I like wrestling, but if that guy's doing cricket, rugby, and football, and I don't like cricket, rugby, and football, I'm probably not gonna stick around as such because you're only providing what I want to watch 25% of the time. Whereas if you are providing uh football on one channel and wrestling on the other channel, I'm gonna follow the one that I'm drawn to, right? I don't have to bother with the football one because you know somebody else will. I'm I'm only passionate about the wrestling, so I'm gonna watch the wrestling stuff. And I I think really it's tough, it really is tough. But you wanna you wanna ingrain into the minds of the people that when they see their vid your video, they know what it is you're gonna talk about at a minimum, whether that is wrestling, whether that's football, whether that is rugby. It's important to be clear, it's important to be clear and transparent what it is you're about to show them. If I have to get five seconds into the video and I don't know it's a wrestling video before figuring out it's a wrestling video, I'm probably not gonna stick around if I'm if if I'm just looking for wrestling videos, you know, and it's that's kind of trying to figure this out as I as I kind of kind of say it, but I know what I'm saying. It's just trying to articulate it. But being clear with your content it is super important to be in, to stay in motivated. Honestly, build yourself maybe a schedule as well. I don't do this anymore, but when I first started, I was kind of all over that stuff. Was making sure I know, right, I need to post this, this, this, and this. I'm gonna post this on this day, and this on this day, and this on this day. Right now, it's become quite ad hoc for me. I just I just post when I fancy picking up the camera, and I think that's a good way to be as well. Stay in I know I I hone heavily on being consistent, but what I would also say is don't burn yourself out. Don't try and make six videos all in one hour and try and get them all out. Try and also post at regular times, like don't be posting at like three o'clock in the morning, knowing full well that you're based in the UK, because chances are people aren't really gonna people unless the content gets pushed to the US or or you know wherever the opposite end to your location is. Um, Jack, I know you're UK based. So what I would say to you is is try and keep your your my like your daily uploads to maybe in the morning, maybe like 10, 11 o'clock, and then also like six, seven o'clock at night, because they're the times that most people are active, especially your audience. Chances are if you are in the UK, most of your audience is gonna be in the UK. Whilst I'm a UK content creator, I do have a few kind of outside, you know, international, but if you look at the analytics, they are mostly in the UK. Um, and you just got to look at that kind of stuff as well. And all of this will help you become more motivated because your videos will do better, they'll increase engagement, and then people will be, you know, you'll be having meaningful, genuine conversations in the comment section, and that's what my content has always been dead important, uh, has been important to me. Like if I'm making content that nobody's um conversing on in the conversate in the in the comments, then I'm probably gonna get a little bit bored because I I want I want to make conversation, is what I'm probably saying, and doing that is what motivates me. I get motivated by seeing two wrestling fans you know communicate in this in the comment section down below about something they're passionate about. It's fantastic. Honestly, Jack, you're doing great things, man. I just keep at it, keep at it at it, keep chopping away. You are you are absolutely killing it. Um, you know, I'm always here if you need any advice about anything at all. So please, please, please do reach out. That is a great question, Jack. And that's not even just for you. That is for anyone watching this podcast who thinks, wow, I want to get into content creation, I want to do this. You know, how do I how do I get into it? How do I stay motivated? How do I gain traction and viewership and engagement? All of those things. I can do a full podcast on that. My background is in marketing, so I I can honestly sit and talk about that kind of stuff all day. Uh, it genuinely does not bore me. It's very interesting. Learning different things within marketing and then applying it to my own stuff. It's it's it's great to see. It really, really is. Mr. Jay Uso, how are we, my friend? Good to see you. You are asking, who is my favorite general manager ever? Well, let me let me talk to you, Jay. I'm gonna give a couple of honourable mentions first, man. I'm gonna give a couple of honourable mentions. The first, the Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, two-time general manager, by the way. Uh, he did 04 back in uh in the uh uh he did SmackDown back in 04, but the one that I'm I want to talk about most is Kurt Angle 2017-2018, uh, as part of that Monday Night Raw brand. Uh, he offered a more light-hearted, nostalgic choice to to the whole, to the viewer, I guess, which I liked. He was his comedy kind of built the integrity and in building him to be a great general manager. Um, and I also liked him being the general manager that has been in those wrestlers' positions before. You know, he's been around forever, Kurt Angle, as we know, Olympic gold medalist. He has been in TNA, he's been in WWE, but he has worked with general managers, and I like the fact that he was someone who had been in those situations before, you know, trying to get title matches and trying to be a part of storytelling and etc. etc. Kurt Angle is absolutely an honorable mention for me. The second honorable mention is William Regal back in NXT. He he just was a brilliant authority figure, in my opinion. Um, he was someone who was fair, he was someone who was serious, he was someone who would tell you what is what, he wouldn't shy away, he was authentic because of his background as a professional wrestler, one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time, in my opinion, and therefore he also is someone who's been there before. He's got fantastic charisma. He is someone who in that NXT, I think they needed that kind of leader in that locker room because that locker room was wild, man. You think of some of the names that were in that locker room, he was that authentic, orthorian um, I guess, figure in the back that really everyone listened to. They had no choice but to listen to William Regal. William Regal, uh, I'm I I'm conscious he was on Raw as well, but NXT is the William Regal that I'm choosing. Number one for me, my all-time favourite general manager, and he is gonna be a lot of people's favourite managers, and this one right here, it's gonna be Teddy Long player. He is an absolute fan favorite, he is a meme legend. Uh hold it on a minute, player. Hold on a minute, player. You're going one-on-one with the Undertaker. Uh, he was fun, right? Teddy Long was just so fun, he brought so much energy, he brought so much passion to the role, and he made he made the brand feel like its own world completely. He was incredible in the role. I love seeing little Teddy Teddy appearances on over current WWE a lot. He brings a huge smile to my face every time I see him, and he's also someone that you see regularly on YouTube with you know videos where they say like funniest Teddy Long comments, uh funniest teddy long, you know, moments or promos or whatever. Because the guy is is a meme, but he is an absolute legend of the game. Teddy Long, SmackDown, uh 2004 to 2012, one of my all-time my all-time favourite general manager. That is a really good question, Jay. I appreciate you sending that in, buddy. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I really, really like that question. Keith is asking, Keith, I hope you're well, buddy. Thanks for sending in the question. You're asking, do you think Big Jim will get a title push? If so, what title would they push him onto? Or do you think Jay will win the heavyweight title? Saturday night main event and have uh the Jay and Jimmy feud to eventually get Big Jim into the title scene. So, I mean, two things on this, right? I'm gonna first of all, I'm gonna say I thought they would have already pushed Big Jim by now. Jay Uso got his run with the Intercontinental title, uh, he also got his run with the world heavyweight title. Now, during this period, during this period here, there was a time where Jimmy Uso was was like kind of dabbling, he was flirting with the United States title. That moment right there was perfect. Why did they not put the title on Jimmy Uso around the time where Jay was locked up doing his own thing? Jimmy was just there getting beat up week in, week out, but then kind of flirting with the the US title a little bit as well. Like, I would have loved to see him pick up a singles run. Do I think he would be world champion? Do I think he will be world champion? Do I think he's world champion caliber? I didn't think J Uso was world champion caliber, in fairness. Do I think I think Jimmy Uso is the better wrestler? I think Jimmy Uso is the better wrestler. My prediction, and I'm gonna put it out here right now: CM Punk versus J Uso for the world heavyweight title at Saturday Night Main event. We've got nine more nights, ten more nights till that happens. We have got one more Monday Night Raw, that being the upcoming Monday Night Raw. Something's gonna happen there. I think Jey Uso is gonna piss off Jimmy Uso one more time. I think Jimmy Uso might cost J Uso the title of Saturday Night Main event. You have heard it here first. I think Jimmy Uso is gonna cost the title. It's gonna cost Jey Uso of the title. You have heard that here first. If this comes out and other people claim the first, they are wrong. Right here, episode 10, Beyond the Map Podcast. I I I don't know why I think that. Uh well, I do know why I think that actually. Jimmy Jay Uso eliminated Jimmy Uso uh tonight or last night on Monday Night Raw in the Battle Royale for the Morgan contendership for the World Heavyweight title. So I believe that Jay will uh be costed by Jimmy. He is only gonna get more and more pissed off. Something's gonna happen on the 27th uh edition of Monday Night Raw, the 27th of October, which then I think will be the final straw for the costing. That's what I think. Very interested to see how that goes. I really hope I'm right with that one. Uh Keith, thank you for the question, my friend. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Luke is asking thoughts on Jey Uso winning the raw the battle royale on Raw to face CM Punk a Saturday Nightmare event. In my opinion, awful decision. LA Knight was right there. I look, man, I look, I agree with you. I agree with you. It seems like a weird decision, given the fact that there was other opportunities there to push someone else. And I think you're right. I think LA Knight was 100% the right correct answer. But even if it wasn't LA Knight, there are still names within that that match that could have gone on and done it, right? I think it was a huge missed opportunity for LA Knight. He is still champion, still chasing world championship gold for like five years at this point. There have been two occasions where he should have won the money in the bank. He didn't. He could have won the fatal four-way clash in Paris, he didn't. Fans are seeing LA Knight as a much more deserving guy. And in my opinion, Jey Uso is just getting forced down our neck at this point. I mean, he has done for a long time, but the credibility is wearing off as well, right? Because Jay is just bouncing over legitimate, deserving contenders. And I really don't like it. It really does feel forced. I think we're gonna get a lot of fan backlash from this because we are seeing Jey Uso over and over again get these title opportunities. Um is it a name driven thing? Look, I I'm a fan of Jey Uso. I like Jey Uso. But I just think there are some people right now who need the opportunity. Jey Uso! Jey Uso won the world title at WrestleMania. Like, what much more does the guy want? And I it's not on him. It's not on him, you know, but unless Jimmy is going to turn on Jay, I there's no appetite for Campong versus J Uso for me. It's just a match we've seen several times. That can that's the only way we see a different route here is if Jimmy does turn on Jay. And I really do hope that that that's what goes goes on here. In fairness. Luke, that's a fantastic question, my friend. Thank you very much for that one. I appreciate that a lot. I appreciate all of the questions that have come through. I'm so sorry if I've missed any. Luke, thank you. Keith, thank you. J Uso, Jack, Ethan, Deepweezy, I thank you, I thank you, I thank you. It is very, very much appreciated.
