No matter where you are on your journey, let's grow together Under Heaven. Well, hello and welcome back to Under Heaven Podcast. I'm your host, Trish Hodges, and today we have Lynn Laffine joining us for the second time because we just talked so much the first time, we missed a whole lot of stuff that she's got going on in her life. Lynn has had quite an experience uh of you know good things, bad things in her life, but today she's coming to us to tell us a little bit about something she created called Lynn Logic. So let's welcome Lynn Levine. Welcome, girl.
SPEAKER_01Okay, thank you so much for having me back.
SPEAKER_00I'm so glad you could you had the time to come back. That's awesome. Today we want to talk a little bit about what you're doing now. We talked about your past and where are we today? And how did you start Lynn Logic and what is it?
SPEAKER_01So um after my husband passed, I spent two years uh closing his estate and having to remain silent and everything. And I had started um releasing his estate was closed in May of 2025. And um on June 27th of last year, I released the website. Now it's not up right now, so I don't want to release the address of it, but I made it in memorandum for my late husband. And it was it's his page, and it the only reason why it's not up now, right now, is because of financial difficulties. It's that simple. Um, but I still have it. Um, it's Drew and Drag. Um and he had left with so many videos and pictures and everything, and I wanted a platform where he could talk, and I still have all the videos. I mean, he made a di a three-day diary of being drunk, and it was during one of our wedding anniversaries. Um, you know, he talks about his, he talked about his demons very openly. We were very open in regards to communication. And so I started with the release of the website, and on that website, I had written a document that was um called My Narrative. And it was an 11-page document I wrote in like a day. Like I was like, I just had a lot to say, and so I wrote it all out, and I was reading it to a client of mine, just the intro, and she goes, you know, I'd I can I can hear you reading this in your voice and how you speak and all your mannerisms. You should just read it and you know, so people can listen, you know, and do it as um do it as just the audio. Now, I like video better because, you know, I make a lot of, you know, a lot of things happen along in my world. And so, you know, I figure people want to see my face and hear me talk and see how I talk to really kind of delve into the details of how I write because I am very detail-oriented. Um, and so I started all of this with one question Is going viral a formula? It was that simple. I have a background in accounting and operations. Um, I do have the degree in psychology. The reason why I went into psychology is because I wanted to go into neuroscience. I love patterns and categories, um, all those stuff. And so I never really did the social media stuff prior to this. I mean, yeah, I've been on the social media doom scrolling for years and never really played around with it or anything. And so, you know what? I was like, I'm gonna try this. I like algorithms. Me and algorithms and formulas, we are like this. We are so close. And so I created Lynn Logic and this social media platform and all this stuff, and it's been exactly a year as of June 27th. Um and I am now at 250,000 views a month.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_01Um I am I am rocking it across. Uh let's see, for video, you can find me on um uh Spotify and YouTube and another place, which I won't mention here. Um for social media, for the audio, it's on Dystopia, YouTube, Amazon, Apple, Patreon, iHeartRadio, Pandora. Um I always forget some. And then I also run um social media on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and LinkedIn. So um I have a pretty rigorous, rigorous posting schedule. I operate on alarms. Um my my alarm song is Elton John. I'm still standing. I needed to pick something uplifting, and so I take that. Um, but I created Lynn Logic as a platform to not be silent. I was silent for a very long time. I was silent a lot about what was going on inside of my house. And I was silent after he died. And after that, I decided to get loud. And turns out I have a lot to say and I won't shut up. So good. Yes. I'm like, okay.
SPEAKER_00That's what we're about speaking out and being ourselves.
SPEAKER_01And so I'm on season three of Lynn Logic now, and I have, you know, I think 23 episodes in my first season and 20 something episodes in my sex second season, and I'm on season three, and it's still the first it just finished the first year. Um, you know, I've got so much that I'm working on. I have a women forged in fire series. So Lynn Logic is comprised of three different things. We've got Lin Logic, which is my stories, it's the stuff that I, you know, I I did a defense mechanism episode. Defense mechanisms and Winnie the Pooh was the episode. Um and so that was a Lynn Logic episode. And then I also have the Women Forged in Fire series, um, and that showcases what I call badass women. It's those women that have survived, that have been put to the fire and came out stronger. I remind people all the time that being called strong is not a compliment, it's a recognition. There you go.
SPEAKER_00There you go.
SPEAKER_01Um and then now I have a new series coming out with my next episode that's coming this weekend. Um, it's called The Soul of Music. And the new series is called Dude, and that's with three U's. Lynn Logic. And so this will have male guests on it. So you know, I can showcase um I my first guest is um DJ Queensbridge Clash. I always have a hard time saying the word Queensbridge, I don't know why, it just doesn't roll off my tongue. Yeah. So, and he's gone through a lot of struggle and he came out on top through God and faith and everything. And so, you know, I showcase him and he does a lot of gospel music these days. And um, you know, it's it's showing he, but he came through. What's what's funny about the episode is that um he came from one of the largest ghettos in New York in New York and um left. Left and came down to Charlotte, makes beautiful makes awesome music, and I forgot where I was going with this.
SPEAKER_00You might have to cut this part out because I feel like I had a moment where your new soul of music, and you were saying that you you have male guests on that, and you were telling us.
SPEAKER_01And so I had Queensbridge Clash. Um, Queensbridge Clash actually worked with Marley Marl and L O Cool J and kind of like those um 90s, like uh no, don't get me wrong, they're still amazing today, but when we first got introduced to them was and for for me was in the 90s. Oh, yeah. So, you know, he he in my mind, he's worked with royalty.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01And so I get to showcase, you know, you know, I I get to showcase him, and he in my mind is also royalty because he's just this, you know, just loves the music. He's an amazing sound engineer, and I get to introduce him to everyone. And I met him at um, I had done a Women Forged in Fire series for Blue Star Mothers, which are military mothers. Okay, and I did a three-part series, and um, the last part of the series was the Militarian Veterans Kids Ball, which was on my birthday this year, April 25th, and it was so much fun. The kids did everything, they had a blast, there was so much going on. The food. The food. Let me just say, I'm a Taurus, I love the food.
SPEAKER_00That's a whole other video. That's a whole other podcast, isn't it?
SPEAKER_01The food. It was so good. Some of the best mac and cheese I think I've ever tasted. I think I last time I had mac and cheese that good, it was from Quincy's.
SPEAKER_00Um, family's a mac and cheese. I mean, the kids growing up and their dad, mac and cheese, mac and cheese.
SPEAKER_01It was easy to get oh, my late husband could cook. Like, that's the the one thing I miss about him the most, I think, is probably his food. And he made a mac and cheese that dish that he called the mac mac and cheese. And that's exactly what it was. So they have like six different types of cheeses in it. Like it was just diabetes, you know. I mean, yeah. So, but yeah, I do miss his food. But yeah, I mean, with Lynn Logic, I mean, obviously, I've got a bigger picture in mind that I don't share with people because you know it's dreams and you know, I keep my dreams secret. But but I mean, I have so much more that I have in me to do, and I'm just getting started. I took a test once and it told me that I am operating at 43% of my potential. And when I saw that number, I said, yep, that's fair.
SPEAKER_00We gotta get it, get it enlarge it a little bit, right?
SPEAKER_01Make it bigger, make it bigger. So, you know, I mean, at this point in my venture, I'm looking for sponsors and investors, you know. I'm my new episode's gonna showcase commercials from sponsors this time, and so I want to broaden that realm, you know, and so you know, and obviously I'm always looking for guests and you know, to be guests on other podcasts. I mean, and and Trish gets to come on my podcast, so I'm so excited because we're gonna have so much fun. So, I mean, you get to catch more of this story because we'll continue it on LinkedIn.
SPEAKER_00Okay, we'll just go we'll just go on and on.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I'll shut up on that side.
SPEAKER_00And you know, I want to mention, I want to mention your little four-footed friend to those who were with us last time. We we have somebody who's matching my sweater today.
SPEAKER_01Yes, we do. We have the boogie.
SPEAKER_00Aw, and boogie is her little little close cuddly buddy, huh?
SPEAKER_01He is my ESA. There you go. That's it. Yes, oh the big stretch. I know big, big stretches, even though he's deaf, you know you have to do big stretches when a dog stretches. Big stretches. And he makes some of the cutest noises. He grunts when I get up. That's interesting. I'm like, how does he know that I grunt when I get up?
SPEAKER_00Right. Oh my goodness.
SPEAKER_01But he does, he's a loud deaf dog. In fact, one of the signs that I taught him was this, and that stands for loud. When he's being loud, I tell him that he's being loud, but he doesn't know what that means because he doesn't know what loud means.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00So he doesn't use his library voice, he just barks, right?
SPEAKER_01Yes. And I mean, when he gets upset, he sounds like a squeaky toy.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01Which, by the way, it is so difficult to find deaf dog toys. I don't want a toy that squeaks because he doesn't get anything out of it and it annoys everyone else. Yes. But find finding specifics for small dogs, I mean, yeah, big dogs, it's easier. You can get them the rope toys and things like that. But for a small dog, I buy cat toys.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_01I'm just gonna tell you. I mean, and and you know, we went to the dog in the park, and so he gets little, yeah, but I mean, literally cat toys.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I did that for for one of my dogs, yeah. Aw. And now uh before we get off of Lynn Logic, tell me about when will the soul of music come out? Do you have a date yet?
SPEAKER_01It'll be this weekend. This weekend, okay. This weekend.
SPEAKER_00And that would be the 4th of July, 5th of July.
SPEAKER_01Okay. 4th of July weekend. I'm putting out the soul of music. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Um, I'm well, this won't bear for a couple weeks, so they can always go back and look at it.
SPEAKER_01You can go back and watch the soul of music because it's gonna be out now, and you've already missed it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm gonna try to catch it if I can.
SPEAKER_01I will definitely text you a link to the YouTube.
SPEAKER_00Yes, and make it easier. And and and Queensbridge sounds like so awesome. I would would love to hear him.
SPEAKER_01Oh, he is awesome. He is so awesome. Great. I met that when I met him that night at the ball, I met his wife and his and his mother-in-law, and I have to tell you, his mother-in-law reminded me so much of my mom that I was like, look how cute she is. Because my mom's four foot nine, and I think she was about the same height. So I was like, they're so cute. You just want to boot their noses, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I that's how I felt when I saw your mom, and I'm going to your mama, who you live with right now, correct? I do, and I got to meet her last time we talked. I got to meet her. She is an amazing woman. She is. You guys did something special together last year.
SPEAKER_01We did. She's she's hovering in the doorway. I just want you to know that.
SPEAKER_00Well, Mom, you can come on and say hi.
SPEAKER_01You want to come in and say hi? There you go. There you go. How are you? Would you like no, yeah?
SPEAKER_00How are you today? Keep it cool. Trying to. Yeah, I see the fan going there. That's a good thing. Um, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's just for her. Yeah, just for me. Yeah. Did you want to get a you want to see our tattoos together?
SPEAKER_00Yes, let's see your tattoos, ladies.
SPEAKER_01Is that a better view?
SPEAKER_00Okay, and can you explain what they are, please? Yeah, there we go.
SPEAKER_01Oh, there we go. There we go.
SPEAKER_00There we go. Now we see them together. Oh, little bunnies. Oh I want to ask your mama, did it hurt? Not at all. No. Okay. Because I know my daughter's trying to get me to to get a tattoo, and I'm like, You gotta do it. I had mine what, a year and a half ago?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00About a year and a half ago.
SPEAKER_01About a year and a half ago.
SPEAKER_00My first tattoo, 79. Well, there you go. I can get mine too, then. Thank you, mama. Thank you.
SPEAKER_01Um, it it took me that long to convince her to get a tattoo. I've been trying since I was 16.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, that's my daughter too. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So, you know what? You need to get her because we try that it does not hurt. It's fun. Depends on where you get it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, where you get it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. I've got my entire spine tattooed as well, and that hurt.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01More than this. This feels like sunburn.
SPEAKER_00Okay, let's see. Well, we talked about your four-footed friend, we talked about your mama, we talked about your program. Is there anything else? Because time is gone already almost. Is there anything else you would like to share with our viewers? Maybe about your podcast or anything?
SPEAKER_01Check me out. You know, check me out. If you just Google Lynn Logic, you're gonna find a whole bunch of stuff.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, yes.
SPEAKER_00And Lynn, I'll tell you, and and it it but it's so funny because she's the numbers mind up here, the Anna, what do you call that?
SPEAKER_01Analog analytical, very analytical and very numerical.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I'm like, absolutely, those of you like numbers. There you go, rational.
SPEAKER_01I love it. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I am not a rational person. No, oh when I zipline through the rainforest in Costa Rica, I saw the guide hang upside down, and so I was like, can I do that? And I totally wanted to hear him say yes, and so that's what I heard, and I almost broke my leg. Oh my gosh, girl. No, no, I am not rational, not at all. I like numbers because those are easy and zero always is zero.
SPEAKER_00That's true. You got it. One plus one will always be two, no matter what they try to tell us, right? Exactly.
SPEAKER_01In that simple form, there is no way that that ever will equal or change the outcome in that equation. Not changing the equation.
SPEAKER_00We like the truth in that.
SPEAKER_01Exactly.
SPEAKER_00Well, Lynn, I thank you for coming on again. And for those of you who missed her first interview, I encourage you to check it out. She talks more about the things she's gone through. She hasn't always had this happy, what appears to be happy go-lucky life. She's gone through some issues from brain, from blood clots in her brain to her husband, her marriage. And, you know, just check out her first one if you didn't see it, because you got to get caught up a little bit on that. And I will definitely have Lynn back again because she is such a joy, such an example that life does not need to stop us from being ourselves. We each have a uh we've each created with gifts and talents and personalities, and we're here to show the world that. So thank you, Lynn. Thank you again to my guests. And I'm just going to say, contact Lynn, watch for the soul of music. It's coming out this weekend, and so it'll be already on when you see this. Catch her podcast, look her up on the internet, and get in touch. So I thank you, my friends. Remember to speak life, choose hope, and remember you are always loved. Bye-bye. Thank you, and thank you again, Lynn.
