Most athletes and leaders chase results — wins, stats, recognition. But that’s the weakest layer of growth. In this episode, we’ll break down the 3 layers of transformation:
- Outcome (outer layer): The goals you chase — winning games, earning awards, hitting numbers. Important, but fragile if it’s all you focus on.
- Process (middle layer): The systems and habits — your training, recovery, nutrition, journaling, routines. More stable, but still incomplete if you stop here.
- Identity (core layer): Who you believe you are becoming. The kind of athlete, leader, or person who consistently shows up prepared and honors their standard.
When you root your life in identity, the process becomes natural and the outcomes take care of themselves. This is how leaders and athletes build long-term greatness.
