Before the miracle happened, Jesus noticed something. The crowd had been following Him for days, and they had nothing left to eat. Before anyone asked for help, Jesus said, “I have compassion on the crowd.” The feeding of the 4,000 is more than a miracle about bread. It’s a window into the heart of Jesus.

He sees needs.

He cares deeply.

And even when the disciples then get it wrong AGAIN, his compassion abounds.
