This is the only miracle in the Gospels where Jesus heals someone in stages. At first, the man can see—but only partially. People look like trees walking. Then Jesus touches him again, and his sight becomes clear.

Why would Jesus heal someone in two steps? In Mark 8:22–26, we discover a powerful truth about how God works in our lives: Sometimes the miracle isn’t instant.
