God often works through unsettling and confusing circumstances to accomplish his purposes. In the middle of suffering and injustice, God is preparing a deliverer, but not through the means we would expect. While we look for a perfect hero to arise, God instead shapes a life through rescue, privilege, failure, and a season of exile.
