Conditioning to Consciousness
Conditioning to Consciousness explores the journey from inherited conditioning to embodied awareness â honoring personal healing as a catalyst for collective transformation. Itâs for those peeling back layers of stress, people-pleasing, burnout, and self-silencing â and learning how to reclaim autonomy, self-trust, and purpose in a world shaped by systems that keep us disconnected from our bodies and intuition.
Hosted by Jess Callahan, this podcast blends thoughtful conversations with experts and change-makers alongside solo episodes informed by personal healing, post-graduate studies in transpersonal psychology and consciousness, and years of study in nervous system regulation, intuition, astrology, and somatic awareness.
Each episode connects back to five core pillars of healing and awakening:
- Nervous system regulation
- Deconditioning the mind
- Reconnecting with intuition
- Self-discovery
- Integration and embodiment
Rather than bypassing hard truths, Conditioning to Consciousness approaches healing through compassion, curiosity, and grounded awareness â recognizing that personal healing ripples outward into collective change. When even a small percentage of people elevate their consciousness, the world around them begins to shift.
This podcast is for cycle-breakers, system-seers, creatives, and deep feelers who are doing the real work â not to fix themselves, but to remember who they are beneath everything they learned to survive.
Just because the systems are broken doesnât mean we have to be.

Thanks for listening â Iâm so grateful youâre here.
The conversation usually goes something like this. It just feels like something's missing. I'm so grateful for everything that I have and who am I to want more? But it just feels like something's missing, like a part of me is missing. There have been so many times that I felt this way myself, just going through the motions, checking the boxes, always working towards something, grow bigger, make more money, reach the next big goal. And then one day I just asked myself, what am I working for anyways? Is any of this actually going to fill the void? This like chasm that deepens the more I try to ignore it? What's actually missing here? And then I realized it was me. I'd lost myself somewhere along the way. I had no sense of purpose, no deeper meaning. I had no clue what was next for me because I didn't even know myself anymore. I'd been an entrepreneur for more than a decade at the time. I started two successful businesses, and then I experienced a burnout spiral that led to a chronic pain diagnosis and ultimately the decision to walk away from everything in order to heal, shift, and realign. And this podcast is about finding that road home. I see this road home to ourselves as a never ending journey. We're constantly changing, shifting and evolving, and it takes real commitment and vulnerability and courage to know ourselves deeply. The Becoming You Project is a collection of tools and stories that are meant to inspire and challenge and guide you on your own path to meaning and purpose, and whatever it is that this idea of more means for you. In this podcast, I'm sharing some of the tools that I've found to be most useful on my own journey, but it'll also include real reflections as I dig into my own trenches at times facing my own shadow. from time to time i'll nerd out on what i'm learning in my post-grad psychology program but most of all i'm really excited and honored to interview and share the stories of others who have redefined success on their terms they've broken cycles realigned their lives found themselves and i hope that through my stories and the stories of the incredible people that we'll talk to that you'll find some comfort and community and guidance on your own path back home to you so let's get started
