The Shepherd's Tent With Mark Casto
The Shepherd’s Tent with Mark Casto is a spiritual formation podcast for Kingdom leaders navigating faith, leadership, family, and calling in a culture driven by hustle and performance.
Whether you lead a church, a business, a ministry, or simply a home, the pressure to produce can slowly drain the life out of your soul.
This podcast confronts the unhealthy rhythms hiding inside modern leadership and calls listeners back to something better:
• beloved identity instead of performance
• Spirit-filled rest instead of burnout
• family-first rhythms instead of ambition-driven exhaustion
• the finished work of Christ as the foundation of life and leadership
Here we remember who we are.
Here, the vineyard within matters as much as the vineyard we lead.
This isn’t leadership strategy.
This is restoration.
New episodes weekly.

UFO Disclosure Anxiety And A Christ-Centered Way To Think
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
UFO disclosure rumours are moving faster than facts, and you can feel the anxiety building in real time. We slow the whole thing down and ask the questions most people skip: What was actually said, who said it, and how much of this is verifiable versus secondhand storytelling designed to spark fear? Along the way, we respond to the viral Charisma News narrative, the talk of “non-human intelligence,” and the claim that future government files could upend Christian faith.
We also name the deeper problem underneath the headlines: fear-based Christianity. When believers are discipled by panic, algorithms, and prophecy entertainment culture, every mystery becomes a crisis and every new clip becomes a spiritual emergency. We talk candidly about how suspicion masquerades as discernment, why constant outrage trains the body to stay in fight or flight, and how that steals peace, presence, and joy in everyday life.
Then we anchor everything where it belongs, in Jesus. Colossians 1 and Ephesians 1 paint a universe that already includes the visible and invisible, powers and principalities, and realities beyond what we can measure. That does not weaken the gospel, it strengthens our confidence that Christ is before all things, holds all things together, and reigns far above every authority. We end with a practical gut-check for any content you consume: is it making you more like Jesus, or more afraid?
If this brings you breathing room, subscribe, share it with a friend who feels overwhelmed, and leave a review that helps others find a calmer, Christ-centred voice in the middle of the noise.

Christ Is Still Lord
SPEAKER_02All right, welcome everybody. Welcome to the live stream. I'm excited. I want to welcome you tonight. I need you to do me a favor as you're jumping on here for this live, share this broadcast with somebody. I really believe that tonight's conversation is going to help people breathe again. I think it's going to help bring stability to people that are honestly living in a constant cycle of fear and speculation, confusion and panic and conspiracy-driven Christianity. And let me say this right up front, right here at the beginning tonight. If tomorrow the government released information about unidentified aerial phenomenon, okay, if tomorrow there was disclosure about unexplained intelligence, if tomorrow humanity discovered that reality is stranger and larger and more mysterious than we previously understood, guess what? Jesus Christ will still be Lord, the gospel will still be true, the cross and the finished work of the cross will still stand, and the resurrection still matters. And guess what? And the kingdom of God will continue to advance in the earth. And that's where I want to begin tonight because I think one of the greatest problems of modern Christianity is that many believers have been discipled more by the spirit of fear than by the spirit of Christ Himself. And I know that sounds harsh, but I really want you to think about it. Many Christians today are emotionally controlled by headlines. They're controlled by algorithms, controlled by panic cycles, controlled by sensationalism, controlled by prophecy entertainment culture. I'm going to say that again. Controlled by prophecy entertainment culture and controlled by breaking news Christianity. And the moment something mysterious appears in culture, people immediately begin to spiral. What does this mean? Is this the end? Is this deception? Are there aliens? Are these aliens or are these aliens fallen angels? Is this Project Bluebeam? Are demons coming from another dimension? Is the Antichrist about to arrive? And suddenly people stop thinking clearly. They stop, they can't rest, they lose their peace, they stop being present with their families, and they become consumed with decoding hidden mysteries instead of becoming transformed into the image of Christ. Now, tonight I want to specifically respond to an article that was given in Charisma that's spreading all over social media. It's gone viral, comes from Charisma News, and it discusses claims surrounding possible UFO disclosure and supposed private conversations involving government-connected individuals and influential Christian leaders. Now, listen carefully to me tonight. I'm not here to mock anybody. Some of the people that I'm going to be showing on this are people that I know personally and I love them and have a respect for them. I'm not here to dismiss every unexplained phenomenon. I'm not here to act like humanity fully understands everything in existence. In fact, I would argue the opposite. The biblical worldview is actually far more cosmic and mysterious and spiritually layered than the modern secular materialism ever allowed people to believe. But what I am here to challenge tonight is the spirit of fear, the addiction to speculation, and the obsession with hidden knowledge that is quietly consuming huge portions of the modern church. Because here's the reality, guys. All right. The gospel was never built on humanity possessing complete understanding of the cosmos. The gospel was built on the revelation of Jesus Christ Christ. That's the foundation. Not certainty about mystery, not possessing secret information, not decoding every governmental file, not understanding every phenomenon in the heavens, the foundation is Christ. And I think one of the most revealing things about moments like this is they expose where people are collapses because there may be realities that humans don't fully understand, then perhaps your confidence was never fully anchored in Christ to begin with.
SPEAKER_01Frankly, I'm extremely interested.
The Charisma Article Goes Viral
SPEAKER_02Every single night, and now every few another story emerges. Government disclosure, non-human intelligence, secret files, hidden technology, mysterious phenomenon. Okay? This is nothing new. And the church often responds in one of two unhealthy ways. Number one, one side becomes obsessed and the other side becomes dismissive. But neither response is rooted in wisdom. And tonight I want to try to model a third way, a Christological way, a mature way, a grounded way, a way that says a way that really says like we do not have to fear mystery because Christ is Lord over all things, both visible and invisible. Now, before we go any further, let me say something that may surprise you tonight. The Bible assumes a far more mysterious universe than modern Western culture does. Don't you think about that? Because modern materialism taught humanity that only physical things are real, only measurable things matter, only material existence counts. But scripture never taught that. The Bible constantly speaks about heavenly beings, angels, principalities, powers, thrones, dominions, invisible realities, spiritual conflict, heavenly realms, visions, dreams, manifestations, encounters beyond ordinary human perception. So the biblical worldview, friend, has always been cosmic. And honestly, this is one reason why modern people are so fascinated with UFOs and extraterrestrial discussion right now, because secularism promised humanity that materialism would satisfy the human soul. And guess what? It didn't. Technology didn't satisfy the soul, politics didn't satisfy the soul, consumerism didn't satisfy the soul, entertainment didn't satisfy the soul. So now people are searching for transcendence again. And that's what's really happening culturally right now, especially in the West, is human beings know deep down that reality is bigger than what they can touch. Okay. Ecclesiastes says that eternity has been written on the human heart. People know there's more. And because people are spiritually starving today, they begin searching for mystery everywhere. Some search through conspiracy theories, some through new age spirituality, some through psychedelics and extraterrestrial speculation, some through occult practices, some through endless disclosure content online. Why do people do this? Because humanity was created for transcendence. But here's the problem: people want transcendence without surrender. And friend, that's the issue. People want awe without repentance, mystery without transformation, spirituality without Christ, wonder without discipleship. And this is why conversations like this become so emotionally charged. So let's talk about not only the article specifically for a few moments. I want to talk about all the claims that are happening on the internet right now. Um, and we'll and we'll come back to the article here in just a second. But um, there is a person that I follow online. I'm gonna share some of his video and I'll kind of comment back and forth in it. Um, his name is Rouslan. Ruslan does an incredible job of bringing some biblical foundation to current events, and that and that's what got me watching Ruslan. Um, over I've probably watched him for the past year and a half, two years. Yeah, probably a little over two years, and following him. Um, I'm sure we don't agree on everything, but I enjoy his take and I love how he's grounded and has wisdom about how we should look into these things and questions we should ask. So he did a great job of kind of gathering some information about all that's going viral right now with this US UFO disclosure issue. And uh, I'm gonna let his video kind of tell you the story, and then I'm gonna come back and I'm gonna teach tonight on the supremacy of Christ and uh especially as it relates to this. So let's take a look.
SPEAKER_06Yes, uh, mail. Let me start over. Okay, it is being reported there's a massive UFO disclosure coming in. It was first revealed to a bunch of pastors. This is being reported by the Daily Uh Mail. Also, it is being reported that FBI director Cash Patel confirms UFO files have been delivered for release. Some people are saying that this could have been preemptive with uh Obama saying some stuff on a podcast a while ago, kind of a soft disclosure. These claims have led many people to be skeptical, particularly folks like Mike Winger. Pastor Josh Howardson said 95% chance this is not a thing. Even if it ever happens, it's demons. Laugh at me all you want. So that was his reply to this. We're gonna look at something Mike Winger posted about this as well, but this is all broken by Pastor Perry Stone. And then I'm gonna show you guys some stuff that some other pastors who claim to be there heard and what this has in terms of implications for the conversation around aliens and uh my my my overall takeaways of this alleged meeting. Okay, check this out.
SPEAKER_02Now, again, guys, I want to I want to before um Perry shares here. Again, I want to say I am not here to mock anybody. I've known Perry for many, many years. I know that his heart is sincere and genuine in this. Um, however, he's the one that really broke the story. That's where the charisma article comes from, and this is this is where all this is going viral here. So just wanted to throw that out there.
Pastors Briefed On Disclosure Claims
SPEAKER_00Large number of pastors that have been invited to go to a certain state to hear some men in the United States government and others share with them a concern that they had. And this particular man, and I'll not name him, and then we may end up doing some teachings with him or having an event at his church, as great church. But he said, Perry, what you're what they're about to release from what we're hearing, there's going to be a release concerning aliens and concerning unidentified flying objects spacecraft that some of the people who were in the meeting were telling us as pastors you need to prepare your people and you need to get ready to answer them for what you're about to hear being released.
SPEAKER_06Okay. So what's about to be released according now? This is a secondhand account, okay? So this is someone we're gonna hear a firsthand account here in a second, but this is a secondhand account of what he was told, and we're gonna get deeper and deeper to the bottom of what was actually said. What do I think of it? Mike Winger chiming in, uh, valid questions and concerns.
SPEAKER_00And some of it has to do with crafts that have been discovered that are not allegedly a part of our planet, and the materials they're made of are not a part of our planet. Very strange reptilian-looking creatures and other things that almost sound like something out of a sci-fi movie or an Orson Wells book.
SPEAKER_06Okay, reptilian creatures. Okay, this is crazy stuff. Now, here is one of the pastors that claims to be there. This is Alan Didio, and I uh I've met Alan before. I'm friendly with his son. Um, and this is what he said to Joseph Z.
SPEAKER_02Now, again, I want to I want to pause here. Now, those of you that have followed Perry's ministry, you know this is right down his alley. So he he's loving this. But Alan Didio, him and his son are I want to say this too, amazing people. I've been on Alan's podcast, and his son is brilliant. He's brilliant, and uh have a lot of great respect for them as well. We we differ, obviously. Me and Perry, me and Alan uh differ on our understanding of the end times, and that's totally fine. But again, I want to just make plain, I know these individuals, um, and and I want to say again, this is means no disrespect to them. I just want to get you the clip so that you fully understand what's happening, what's going viral, what's being said, and then I'm gonna address it here in just a second about why this was happening.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and I need to say the reason why we're being notified about this is that there are people who are working in agencies with agencies who um want to make sure the church is prepared to give an answer.
SPEAKER_06Okay, so there are people working in agencies with agencies that want to make sure that people are prepared to give an answer.
SPEAKER_03We can't be taken back on our heels when this information comes out. We've got to begin teaching our congregations now what the Bible says about non-human intelligence. Because there is a lot of stuff in the Bible about non-human intelligence.
SPEAKER_06Okay, so he is saying that there are people in these agencies that sat down with him, like Signorelli is another guy, a couple other folks, were at this meeting and said, Hey, there's something that's gonna come down, these UFO disclosures. Now, question number one that we all just have to ask is will there or will there not be a UFO disclosure? And that's how we verify the first step of it is was there a disclosure, was there not a disclosure? Uh, I think that this meeting really happened. And I'll tell you what I think was potentially said at this meeting, but I I think that the implications of this could be grave. The question is, how official was this meeting? Were they called to the White House? Were they called into something at the Pentagon? Or was this some people that worked with the government and worked for the government that perhaps are Christian and heard some rumblings of some stuff coming down and wanted to preemptively warm folks within the church about this potential issue?
SPEAKER_02Now, I want uh I I love that take, okay? First of all, love that take that Ruslan just made because that's exactly what we, as critical thinkers, especially Christians, we should be critical thinkers, is we have to stop and ask questions like what Ruslan just said. And and the reason why I say that is because I've grown up around the Pentecostal charismatic Bible prophecy culture for a very long time. And I've uh and when you're in that culture, um, you're constantly getting new stories, new updates, governmental, uh like the government called this secret meeting. That uh there was somebody that worked up high in intelligence that reached out to this pastor and they gave me this information. I mean, I've literally been in a prophecy conference where we shut down all of the um cameras. Nobody was allowed to have their cell phones out, nobody was allowed to record. And and we literally had a gentleman bring out a baby casket saying this is what they plan to do. There's massive persecution coming to the American church, and there's all these things happening, and and and this is a casket, even for children. And I remember just the spirit of fear that came in that room, and uh, and we call these things Bible prophecy. And it's time for us. I'm just over it, guys. I I love everybody, but I'm over it. This is nothing more than Christians who are into conspiracy theories. And now that we have um some things coming down the pike, um, all of a sudden we're so scared it's gonna rattle people's faith. And the reason why we're so scared that it's gonna rattle so many people's faith is because we know in the deepest parts of our heart that people don't really have faith. They have um they have or they've not been discipled into the faith, they've been discipled by fear. And if fear is your is your motivator of discipleship, then when something comes down the pike, anything could rattle people. So um, I love Ruslan's take on this. I think he's asking really great questions. So let's let's keep diving in.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Sure is. And if we wait until the disclosure comes, what these individuals are concerned about is that many will fall away. Yes.
SPEAKER_06And so they're so that I mean that's a pretty big deal, right? That many will fall away from UFO disclosures. Is he is he saying that these folks think that Christians will fall away because of whatever's going to be revealed here? I'll tell you what the article says by the Daily Mail here in a second, but uh that that's a pretty bold claim here.
SPEAKER_03They want us to begin teaching, and thankfully, we're sitting in the room with myself and you. We've been doing series on this, we're writing books on this, talking about this, preparing the church for this. But sadly, there's a lot in the body of Christ who are completely this this is still the ex-files, as far as they're concerned. Yes, it's still fiction, it's still fringe. And we've got to bring it out of the shadows, yep, talk about it openly, and let people know what the truth is about these.
SPEAKER_07And the real truth, and this is this is kind of why we talk about it, is because ultimately this is to deny Jesus.
SPEAKER_06That's what Okay, so that that's a big, that's a big claim, right? So here's what's being reported by the Daily Mail, according to these specific conversations that were had. Influential pastors are claiming that they have been told to prepare their followers for shocking revelation about UFOs, which may upend belief in the Bible. Okay, so these pastors are claiming this. Again, I I uh know some of these guys. I've I've I've hung out with them in person, Mike Signorelli, I call a friend, and that this is gonna be of epic proportions. Okay. Author and teacher from Tennessee warned that fellow pastors, sorry, that's the video we already looked at, Perry Stone, were invited into a secret meeting with U.S. intelligence officials to prepare for the release of Secret Files on Extraterrestrials. And this is now uh Mike Winger put out a video kind of being skeptical of some of this. And I think I have a uh a way to kind of glue all this together in a second. So just bear with me, but let's keep going through this. Uh, in the April 24th video posted to his YouTube channel, the evangelists claim that pastors were told about the existence of reptilian creatures. We just looked at that. President Trump ordered the Pentagon and Secretary of War Pete Heggseth to release all information the government possesses regarding UFOs and alien life. Last week, Trump said that the first files will be released very, very soon and would contain some interesting things for the public. However, officials in this secret meeting allegedly said the information on its way caused some Christians to question how the universe was created and even to lose faith in religion. Okay. Now, again, I think that's a bold claim. I think something perhaps will be disclosed, but to say that these documents that are going to come down are going to be that astronomical, I I personally don't know if the government is officially telling pastors. I think this is an unofficial capacity where people perhaps with with certain security clearances are saying something, but this is a really big, bold claim. So the question is going to be one, is there going to be a disclosure? That should be verified very soon. Two, is the disclosure going to be up to the level of what this these pastors are claiming? Okay. And then three, uh, are are this, is this going to actually cause people to upend their faith in Jesus? Okay, those are those are all the different claims. I think that there may be a disclosure. Trump said there will be a disclosure. Is it going to claim something that is going to explain away the origins of the universe versus what we think aliens are, which is demons? I think that that's a question that we will see play out. Okay. Yeah.
What Actually Happened At The Meeting
SPEAKER_02So let me so I want to stop here real quick and just say this because I know how this works because I've worked in uh ministry like this before. Is let's be honest. People love to feel important and they love to know things that other people don't know, and they love to get information. And so a lot of times we are told publicly that this information came from somebody high up in government, but it was always that it came from somebody else in high up in government that told this person, then ended up telling this person, and now the information's come to me, and now I'm gonna share it with you. And so um, man, um, it's like playing the game where you whisper in somebody's ear, and then by the time it comes all the way around to the end of the circle, it's like is what's being shared actually what was originally shared with? It was first spoken to the first person. Um, I don't know. So I'm just saying to you guys that um I very much am skeptical of what they're saying here. And uh I'm not saying that there won't be disclosure, I'm not saying that there won't be questionable things, but to literally use this as a platform to put fear in other people's hearts and go, man, this could cause a great falling away. Listen, friend, if aliens and unidentified flying objects are gonna steal your faith, what kind of faith did you have to begin with? And so, anyways, I'm gonna let Ruslan keep doing his thing. Also, I just go ahead and tell you right now, once we get to the end of the videos that he shares, I'm gonna cut it back and I'm gonna teach uh tonight and share more on this subject. But if you want to see his take on it, I'll put a link to it in the video below so that you can hear more of his take. Because, like I said, I'm sure we don't agree on every little thing biblically, but I do think Ruslan has a lot of great uh wisdom when he shares about current and cultural events. So uh let's keep going a little bit.
SPEAKER_06Okay, now here's more uh details from Diddyo, uh Pastor Didio, which we just looked at. He says, it seems like half a dozen people were gathered into an Airbnb in the mountains of Tennessee discussing an investigation that's going on in the United States government against crimes they have committed in the process of retrieving and reverse engineering technology from non-human intelligence. Okay, so they gathered in Tennessee, not Washington, DC, not at the White House, not uh at the Pentagon. And it was people who gathered at an Airbnb who claimed to work for the government that are telling this to the pastors. Now, uh I I reached out to a couple sources, couldn't verify who these people were, couldn't verify which branches of government they worked in, nor do I think this they want to disclose any of this sort of stuff, because this is if these folks really work for the government, this is real serious stuff. The meeting also went forward to discuss the propaganda plan. So again, will there be a propaganda plan that was in place leading up to disclosure? Okay, this is on uh March 7th. Another report of the attending American evangelist pastor Tony Merkel added that the government officials who held the meeting expressed concerns about the impact of UFO disclosure on organized religion. I came in contact with these guys more than a year ago, and I've been in touch with them, communicating with them, and their heart is to prepare the body of Christ for what's coming. Okay, so there's something coming. Okay, so these things will be verifiable, right? These guys, a part of it. Let's just say they're Christians in intelligence operations. So this is not an official government meeting. These are Christians allegedly in intelligence operations, and they're specifically geared towards initially uh to, I guess, warn the church. It was to gather evidence and data on what's actually going on behind the scenes within the disclosure community. Okay, before we get into Mike Winger's response to some of this and some valid questions, uh, this is what Mike Signarelli put out about this.
SPEAKER_05Are soft launching conversations about non-human intelligence, UFOs, UAPs, and actual contact with what they're calling extraterrestrials. If you are a born-again believer, I'm telling you, you're not prepared.
SPEAKER_06Okay, so this is the guy that was interviewing Evan earlier, his name is Joseph Z. He's saying that this is gonna cause deception of the masses. Check this out. Okay, first let me stop.
SPEAKER_02Um, I I did you hear that? Like, this is like I even think born-again believers, you're not ready for this. It's like, then what kind of believers are we? But again, everything's rooted in fear. And um, I hate to say it, I think some people, and again, I don't know Mike Signorelli, I don't know a lot of these people, but again, I think people have learned what it takes to get clicks. So just my opinion.
SPEAKER_07We're gonna see that I believe begin to deceive the masses, and they're gonna be propped up as Christians, yeah, they're gonna be propped up as those that really have insight or even revelatory knowledge, but it is all based on esoteric beliefs, it's all based on mysticism, it's all based on these lies, but people are gonna receive it like truth because they don't love the truth. Yeah, and this is what we're here to counter, this is what we're here to adjust. And it goes on.
SPEAKER_06So, I mean, it I think they're kind of insinuating that in the last days there will be deception, uh, there will be a mass falling away. That's where I think this is some of this stuff's going. All the way back to the foundation.
SPEAKER_02The only problem with that is if you have historical eschatology, orthodox uh eschatology, uh, we're not worried about a great falling away when there's supposed to be an outpouring of his spirit upon all flesh. But again, we have gotten so such poor eschatology that now we uh think that that the second coming of Christ is gonna happen because the world gets worse. Man, we've got this thing backwards.
SPEAKER_07The Bible, like you're saying, Alan, so powerfully. We've got to come back to that understanding, we've got to come back to it. But I'm telling you, the world is not ready for what's about to come on the scene, even right around the corner, even in the next months in front of us. I know there's one individual that brought something up that was saying he had a visitation from somebody and he's predicting even Easter. Now they're predicting this. Yeah, we're predicting the glory of God and breakthrough in our time, but they're predicting that on Easter, get this, there's gonna be orbs that appear, or potentially Jesus come back, or the Lady of Light are going to come back around Easter and maybe even solve the Iran war, or it's the second coming of Christ. Either way, something big is getting ready to happen, and we're here to define.
SPEAKER_06So, I mean, that's that's a long ways removed. Next Easter, right? That that's uh Easter is April 2027. So that's a long ways away. Buy that in Jesus' name. Yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER_03Look at the dearth in these stats. So you have what you said seven to nine percent have a biblical worldview of Christians. 37 to 45 percent of Americans believe they're living in the last days. Yeah. Yeah. So think about that for a moment.
SPEAKER_06Okay, so uh, I'll tell you guys my thoughts here in a second, but I uh I want to highlight what Mike Winger said about this, uh, because he's he's skeptical. And I would say rightfully so, uh, skeptical because of some of the language and insinuation of who is or isn't involved. Now, I'll tell you guys exactly who I think is involved. I do think this meeting really happened for the record. I don't think these guys are making it up, okay? Loudly enough, Pastor Alan uh Didio is no fan of Mike Winger. He's called him out before. So let's see what Mike Winger thinks. And uh, by the way, Mike Winger put this video out. Never thought I'd be reacting to a video of Mike Winger sending crisscross applesauce, uh putting styrofoam out. Um, and this is this is some of his uh pushback to some of it. And uh I'll tell you how how I think it all glues together here in a moment.
SPEAKER_04And I just want to ask for some clarity here. They're saying they were at a meeting where people were um uh at this meeting, people were giving them information uh about government coming government disclosures related to aliens. And uh Perry Stone mentioned that they'd be you know releasing info about lizard beings.
SPEAKER_06Okay, so again, it's important to know Perry Stone is a secondhand account of Alan, Mike Sig, or first hand accounts.
SPEAKER_04Lizard-looking beings. And um Alan DeDio said they're gonna be, they're actually calling them, they're not calling them aliens, they're calling them um beings from like I what did you say, another dimension or something like that? Let me just say this this all stinks, guys. This stinks. I'm not saying no meeting happens, but the way that they're talking about it, you would think that this is an official government meeting where the government brought in these guys in order to give them a um a briefing on stuff that's coming. They said, in order to tell the church and help protect the church and all this, the way they talk about it, it's easy for normal people to think that this is actually a government meeting.
SPEAKER_06Like, yeah, so what Mike is saying is not what they said, it's the way normies who aren't paying attention to the details that this is this isn't a government meeting. This is people that work within government and intelligence that are probably followers of Jesus that decided to pull these pastors to the side and warn them about this potential disclosure.

SPEAKER_02Okay, uh, so I I I think you get the point. I think you get the point. And Ruslan is saying exactly what I want like where I wanted to stop, which is we we gotta remember, guys, these are probably like they didn't get invited by the White House, they didn't get invited by President Trump to come talk about these things. Um, so so we don't know where this information's actually coming from. So, anyways, long way to get here, but tonight, this is what we're gonna cover, guys. I hope you're ready for this. Um, this is this is what we're gonna talk about tonight. We're gonna be talking about UFO disclosure, fear deception, and the supremacy of Christ. Okay, this is what we're talking about tonight. So I hope that you bring a pen and a notepad or take in notes right now. Um and guys, let me say this. My wife and I are gonna be talking about marriage and family in there along with other different topics. And then monthly, we do a face-to-face with you on like a Zoom call with a monthly vision where you get to see what we're working on behind the scenes and do a time of QA with our partners. So we're really thankful for our partners and we're trying to build something here online of significance, and it takes resources and partners to make it happen. So let's jump back into the teaching, guys, because I think this is all really, really important. Okay. So those video videos and the articles, references, um, they claims that certain religious leaders were allegedly encouraged to prepare people for possible UFO disclosure and discussions involving non-human intelligence. Now, again, these are claims, not confirmations, and and mature believers must learn discernment. Not everything online is true, not every headline deserves your emotional energy. I was laughing when I was in Detroit not too long ago in the Detroit area where my mom and dad passed her. My mom was showing me a video of one of the lakes up there that was just frozen and in this lighthouse, and then realized it was AI. And so I had to tell my mom, mom, that I don't think that's real. And then sure enough, we found out it wasn't a real video. And so we laugh about it. But guys, not everything online is real, not every headline deserves your emotional energy, not every viral story deserves your obsession. But even if governments eventually disclose information about unexplained aerial phenomenon, that should not create existential crisis or panic for believers. Now, why? Because Christianity has never depended on humanity understanding everything. Think about how moments throughout history people thought Christianity would collapse. If you look at the fall of Rome, scientific revolutions, the um the discovery that the earth revolved around the sun, Darwinian debates, global wars, the nuclear age, the internet age, artificial intelligence, quantum physics, and every generation says this changes everything. Yet Christ remains, the kingdom remains, the church remains, because Christianity was never built on intellectual control over all mysteries. It was built on the person and revelation of Jesus Christ. And honestly, I think modern Western Christians have often inherited an extremely fragile faith, a faith that unconsciously depends on certainty, a faith that says, I feel safe only if I understand everything. But friend, biblical faith has never functioned that way. Biblical faith trusts God in mystery. And I think we need to recover that, guys, because some believers today are honestly more fascinated with hidden governmental files than with becoming the people of love, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, mercy, and transformation. And friend, that should concern us. And here's another thing that I want to say tonight fear-based Christianity is not the gospel. Now, hear me carefully. Discernment matters, wisdom matters, truth matters, but paranoia is not discernment, and suspicion is not spiritual maturity. In fact, many people today have become addicted to fear chemically in their body. Their nervous systems are literally conditioned for outrage and panic. Every day, another conspiracy, another crisis, another plot, another, another hidden agenda, another terrifying prediction. And eventually, when we live like this, people stop living fruitful lives altogether. They become emotionally imprisoned by speculation. Meanwhile, Jesus said, do not be afraid over and over and over again. Now, that doesn't mean that we have to be naive. It doesn't mean blind trust in governments. It doesn't mean pretending deception doesn't exist. Of course, deception exists. Human history is filled with manipulation, governmental lies, corporations lying, religious leaders lying. Friend, that's not new. But Christians are not called to become obsessed with deception. We are called to become deeply rooted in Christ, in love, in truth. And there's a difference. See, some believers today spend more time studying darkness than studying Christ. And eventually, whatever you behold shapes you. You cannot constantly consume fear and remain peaceful. You cannot constantly marinade in panic and remain joyful. You cannot constantly fill your imagination with catastrophe and remain present with your wife and your kids or your church or your actual life. And I think this is one of the hidden tragedies of modern conspiracy culture is it steals us from it steals from us the ability to be present in the moment. People become physically present but mentally absent, always researching, always decoding, always searching, always anxious. Meanwhile, life passes them by. Their kids grow up, their marriages weaken, their peace disappears, their nervous system collapses, and all the while they think they are becoming more spiritually awake. But many times they are simply becoming more emotionally exhausted. And tonight, I want to invite people back into stability, back into Christ-centeredness, back into peace, back into wisdom. Because listen to me the answer to deception is not paranoia, it's maturity. And mature believers understand something very important. Christ is supreme over every realm. Excuse me. Christ is supreme over every realm. And that's where I want to go uh with you tonight. Because if you really understand the supremacy of Christ, fear begins losing its grip on you. And sadly, many Christians today believe in the power of darkness more than their victory in Christ. Friend, that's the truth. They speak more confidently about demons than the resurrection, more confidently about the Antichrist than Jesus, more confidently about conspiracies than the kingdom of God. But friend, the New Testament presents a radically victorious vision of Christ. So if you've got your Bibles, I want you to go to Colossians chapter one, and you can read these verses uh later. I'm just gonna kind of go through them very quickly. But if we go to Colossians chapter one, Paul writes about this um in uh yeah, Colossians chapter one, and this is what Paul says, excuse me, that Christ is the invisible image, or he is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of over all creation. For by him all things were created, and in that are in heaven and that are on earth, listen to this language, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things were created through him and for him. I want you to think about that language: visible and invisible, thrones, dominions, rulers, authorities. See, Paul's worldview, his biblical worldview, was already cosmic. The early church already understood reality involved dimensions humanity could not fully perceive. So but notice Paul does not write with fear, he writes with confidence. Why? Because Christ is above all, not threatened by it, not competing with it, above it. And that changes everything. Okay. Now, I want to stay in Colossians for a little while tonight because I think this is the theological anchor people desperately need right now. Paul says that Christ is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And I'll I want you to take a moment and think about the magnitude of that statement. In him, all things hold together, not just church services, not just human beings, not just earthly systems, all things. The cosmos itself is held together in Christ. And one of the problems with fear-driven Christianity is that it quietly communicates the opposite. It presents a universe hanging on by a thread, a terrified church, a defeated people, a barely holding on gospel, a nervous heaven anxiously reacting to human events. But that is not the New Testament vision. The New Testament presents Christ as enthroned, victorious, sovereign, above all rule and authority and power and dominion. There's no panic in that. And honestly, I think many believers have unintentionally absorbed a worldview where darkness appears stronger than light. But friends, scripture never presents darkness as equal to God. Darkness is not God's rival. Fear is not God's rival. The enemy is not some equal cosmic force battling heaven like two evenly matched powers. Christ has already overcome. Now, I know some people hear conversations like this and immediately think, so are you saying that aliens exist? And my answer is I'm saying we should be humble enough to admit humanity does not fully understand reality. That's what I'm saying. Okay. But I'm also saying Christians should stop pretending the Bible taught a cold, mechanistic, purely material universe in the first place because it didn't. The biblical worldview is already supernatural. And honestly, modern secularism created many of the emotional problems people now have surrounding the subject we're talking about tonight. Because for the last hundred years, Western culture tried to convince people that the universe is empty, matter is all that exists, conscience is accidental, humanity is alone, transcendence is primitive imagination. Okay, that spiritual uh spirituality is irrational. But human beings cannot live long without mystery. We were made for wonder, we were made for awe, we were made to encounter transcendence. That longing is built into us. And if people do not find transcendence in Christ, they're going to search for it elsewhere. That's why you see people obsessed with UFOs, hidden dimensions, simulation theory, psychedelic, secret knowledge, mystical experiences, because modern people are spiritually starving. And because they rejected traditional faith structures, they're now trying to rediscover mystery through alternative pathways. But here's what I want to say tonight the deepest mystery in the universe is not extraterrestrial life, it is Christ himself. Paul literally calls Christ the mystery hidden for ages. Think about that. Christianity is not anti-mystery. Christianity is centered on mystery, but not mystery for entertainment. That's what makes me sick about our current Bible prophecy culture is that we have mystery for the sake of entertainment. But see, friend, mystery is for transformation. And there's a huge difference between the two. Okay. One of the great temptations of the modern age is the temptation to become like fascinated with hidden information while neglecting inner transformation. And that's why I said earlier people want revelation without repentance. They want insight without surrender. They want knowledge without love. But biblical wisdom always transforms. Transforms the person receiving it. That's why I think some of the online obsession around UFO disclosure reveals something much deeper happening culturally. People are searching for meaning because deep down humanity knows something's wrong. We feel fractured. We feel the ache. We feel the instability. The world feels disoriented right now. People don't trust institutions, governments, media, religious systems. They don't trust any of those things anymore. And when trust collapses, speculation rises. And that's exactly what we're witnessing culturally. And honestly, some of it is understandable. Human beings instinctively know that there are things happening beyond surface level appearances. But here's where Christians must be different. Now, listen, we are not called to be consumed by speculation. We are called to become rooted in Christ. Friend, that's the difference. And I think many believers today are honestly exhausted because they're carrying mental burdens that they were never designed to carry. They're trying to decode the universe every waking hour. And hear me, there is a difference between discernment and obsession. Discernment, I want to say this, is healthy. Obsession is slavery. Okay. And I think some people watching tonight, you need permission to step off of the treadmill of fear-based spirituality. Because some believers are emotionally addicted to breaking revelations, okay? Every day, new theories, new secrets, new hidden agendas, new panic cycles. And every title of these prophetic sermons are the mystery of this, decoding this, deciphering this, guys. And eventually their spiritual life becomes completely detached from love, peace, joy, family, rest, presence, actual discipleship. And they know, man, this is just the truth. They know endless theories, but cannot sit quietly in peace for 10 minutes. And friend, that's the problem. Jesus did not die. Jesus did not come for his death, burial, resurrection so humanity could become addicted to conspiratorial anxiety. He came to reconcile humanity back into union, peace, communion, and life with Abba. Now, let's go deeper into the supremacy of Christ because I think this is where fear truly begins to lose its power. Okay. If you go over to Ephesians chapter one, okay, if you go to Ephesians chapter one, Ephesians is one of my favorite books in all of the New Testament, Paul says that Christ has been seated. Listen to the language here, far above all rule, all authority, and power and dominion. Far above. It doesn't say slightly above, doesn't say temporarily temporarily above, it doesn't say anxiously competing. It says far above. And one of the tragedies of fear-based Christianity is that it constantly pulls Christ down in the imagination of people. People speak as though darkness is winning, as though evil is unstoppable, as though heaven is nervous, as though, oh God, there's coming this great falling away. But the resurrection tells a completely different story. The resurrection is God's declaration that death itself does not have final authority. Can we just think about that for a second? The resurrection declares death itself does not have final authority. Think about that. The greatest fear that humanity possesses is the fear of death. And Christianity begins with the announcement that death has been conquered. So why would believers live terrified of every mysterious headline? Now, does that mean we ignore spiritual realities? Of course not. The Bible absolutely teaches the existence of spiritual beings and powers. But notice how the New Testament approaches these realities, okay? The apostles never became obsessed with them. And that's important. Guys, we've got all these demon hunters and demon slayers in the culture today. And I'm here to tell you, the apostles weren't that. They didn't talk like that. They didn't have to go after demons. They acknowledged them, they discerned them, they addressed them when necessary, but their focus remained on Christ. Friend, oh man, don't get me on my soapbox here. I wrote a whole book called Liar, Exposing Myths and Spiritual Warfare, where I just come after this. Guys, modern Christianity has reversed this. People become obsessed with darkness while occasionally mentioning Jesus. And friend, that's not apostolic Christianity. The apostles were overwhelmed by Christ, consumed with Christ, centered on Christ. Friend, and honestly, I think many believers need their imagination healed because years of fear preaching have damaged these people psychologically. That's true. Many Christians were raised hearing everything's deception, everything's darkness, everything's an attack, everything's the Antichrist, everything's demons. And eventually people lose their ability to see goodness, beauty, peace, and hope in the world, which is what the Bible says in Philippians chapter 4 is the things that you should actually be thinking about. Friend, this focus on darkness is not spiritual maturity, it's fear conditioning. And one thing that I've learned over the years is this fear sells. Fear gets clicks, fear gets views, fear spreads fast. I'm gonna be honest with you, some of these YouTube channels of the demon hunters, they're growing just by fear, not because there's an actual move of the spirit. It's the spirit of fear. Do you know what? I'm gonna stay over here and stay rooted. Obviously, I get passionate at times, but I want to stay rooted because wisdom spreads slowly. But can I tell you this? It may spread slowly, but it lasts longer. And tonight I want to speak especially to believers who feel emotionally exhausted from years of panic-based religion. Friend, you don't have to carry the weight of the world in your nervous system. You don't have to spend every waking hour terrified of hidden darkness. You don't have to become consumed with decoding every mystery online. Christ is enough. Guys, and I know some people struggle with that because certainty feels safer than trust. But friend, biblical faith has always required trust amid mystery. Think about Abraham, think about Moses, think about the disciples, guys. None of them possessed exhaustive understanding, they learned trust. And perhaps one of the greatest spiritual disciplines for modern believers is relearning how to live peacefully without possessing complete certainty about every mystery. Okay. Now, let me address another issue tonight because I know some people immediately connect UFO disclosure conversations with the great deception. We heard those guys speaking about it just a few minutes ago. Let me say this, okay? Could deception exist in governments and institutions? Absolutely. Human beings manipulate narratives constantly. History proves proves this over and over again. Could spiritual deception exist? Of course. We've seen it. Scripture clearly teaches spiritual deception exists. But again, the answer to deception is not paranoia, it's maturity rooted in Christ. Friend, some believers become so obsessed with avoiding deception that they stop functioning normally altogether. They trust no one, love no one, rest nowhere, question everything endlessly. But discernment without love eventually becomes suspicion-driven living. And suspicious-driven living destroys peace. Now, let me say something else tonight. I think some Christians, maybe unconsciously, crave catastrophic narratives because catastrophe creates emotional intensity. And our brains, our unconverted, unrenewed brains, are a stress reactor. And so emotional intensity can feel spiritually significant. But constant intensity is not the fruit of the spirit. Friend, let me remind you what Galatians 5 says the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I'm pretty sure in that list of the fruit of the spirit was not perpetual panic. And honestly, I think many believers need emotional healing more than they need conspiracy content because many people are deeply anxious. And it's preachers out there that are using this doomsday end time poor eschatology about the last days and demon-hunting preachers that are helping make America more anxious. And anxious people naturally gravitate toward apocalyptic speculation because it gives structure to their fear. But Christ invites humanity into another way of living, a way rooted in Christ, a way rooted in the presence of God, wisdom, rest, and peace. And I think there's one reason Jesus constantly told people, do not be afraid, because fear distorts perception. Fear narrows vision. Fear amplifies darkness. Fear hijacks discernment. And fear-based Christianity often produces spiritually exhausted people instead of transformed people. Now, again, I'm not saying ignore reality. I'm not saying governments are always truthful. I'm not saying every unexplained phenomenon has a simple explanation. What I am saying is Christ-centered people must refuse to become emotionally enslaved by fear. That's the key of what I'm talking about tonight. And honestly, I think the church right now has an opportunity to model something the world desperately lacks. You ready? Peace and calmness. Friend, the world is addicted to outrage, addicted to panic and hysteria. What if believers became known for peace and wisdom and stability and clarity and love, discernment without all the hysteria? Friend, that would be powerful. And I think that's what the world needs right now. And you know, one of the things that I've really been thinking about lately is how fragile modern people have become psychologically. And I, and I'm not saying that uh with condemnation at all. I'm I say it with with compassion. People are overwhelmed, emotionally overloaded, mentally fragmented, spiritually exhausted. Guys, when I was in that culture doing ministry and trying to keep up with everything, and oh man, I was having panic attacks and anxiety. Uh, it's not healthy. And what's crazy is when I walked away from all of that, when I stopped uh living in a culture constantly deciphering and decoding and all the things, I've not had another panic attack or anxiety attack in over 11 years. Friend, we're living in an age where the average person consumes more alarming information in one week than previous generations consumed in years. That's what's wrong with our culture. Every day, wars, economic fears, political chaos, more AI disruption, cultural instability, pandemics, environmental fear, social outrage, and now nonstop discussions about UFO disclosure and non-human intelligence. Friend, we are drowning in information, but we're starving for peace. And I think this is where the church has such an important opportunity right now, not to become louder in fear, not to compete with sensationalism, but to become a grounded presence in a disoriented world. Because honestly, guys, one of the saddest things to me is watching Christians react to uncertainty with the exact same panic as the world around them. Friend, if believers panic exactly like the world, then what witness are we actually offering? And again, I'm not talking about pretending that difficult things do not exist. I'm talking about becoming people deeply anchored in Christ. And there's a difference. And I think one of the reasons this UFO conversation creates such strong reaction is because it confronts humanity with mystery. Modern people are deeply uncomfortable with mystery. We want control and predictability and certainty and explanations, but scripture repeatedly confronts humanity with the reality that God's universe is bigger than human comprehension. Think about Job for a moment. Job spends chapter after chapter demanding explanations from God. And when God finally answers, he doesn't hand Job a detailed blueprint of the cosmos. Instead, he overwhelms Job with the vastness of creation. Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Friend, that's powerful. God reminds Job, you are not carrying the universe. And honestly, I think some believers today need that reminder desperately. You are not carrying the universe. You're not responsible for decoding every mystery. You're not responsible for solving every cosmic question. You are not responsible for uncovering every secret government agenda. Friend, that burden is crushing people psychologically and emotionally. And one of the hidden idols of modern culture is the illusion that knowledge itself can save us. Friend, information alone cannot heal the human soul. You can know thousands of conspiracy theories and still live in fear. You can study every government file and still be internally tormented. You can consume endless disclosure content and still remain spiritually empty because the deepest need of humanity is not more information, it's transformation. And I think this is where Christianity offers something radically different than both secular materialism and conspiracy culture. Christianity does not merely offer explanation, it offers reconciliation, it offers communion with God, union with Christ, transformation in our interior worlds. And honestly, I think people, many people chasing hidden knowledge are actually searching for that transcendence they have, um, that they actually already have, but they've not yet encountered it in Christ. Guys, the human soul was made for awe, but awe disconnected from Christ, that's where it gets into dangerous territory. Now, let me talk for a few moments about why Christians historically have often struggled with subjects like extraterrestrial life and cosmic questions. I think part of the reason is because many believers inherited an extremely small view of the universe, a very reductionist type of view, okay? But the biblical imagination is enormous. The scripture says the heavens declare the glory of God. Creation is vast, reality is layered. The Bible already assumes humanity is not the center of everything. That that's important. But now, does scripture explicitly teach extraterrestrial civilizations? No. But scripture also does not present the universe as empty mechanical space. Instead, the biblical worldview is actually filled with spiritual beings, heavenly councils, invisible realms, cosmic worship, principalities and powers, dimensions beyond ordinary human perception. And when I say cosmic worship, I'm talking about John's encounter of the throne room in Revelation 4. And here's what's fascinating the ancients were far more, we're often far more comfortable with mystery than modern people are. Modern people demand exhaustive explanations. Ancient people, they understood reality was bigger than human understanding. And perhaps one of the greatest spiritual disciplines we need to recover today is humility before mystery. Not fear, not being gullible, humility, the ability to say, I do not fully understand everything, but I trust Christ. Friend, that's maturity. Is it not? That's maturity. Now let me say something else. Okay. I think many Christians unconsciously inherited a worldview where mystery automatically equals danger. Okay. But mystery is not evil. Wonder is not evil, awe is not evil, curiosity is not evil. In fact, curiosity, properly rooted in wisdom, can lead people deeper into worship. See, the problem begins when curiosity becomes obsession. And obsession is exactly what much of the internet monetizes today. Think about it. Entire industries now profit from fear and speculation, outrage and panic. Algorithms reward emotional intensity. And friend, I mean, I have a friend of mine who runs a website on The End Times. And the money he makes off of the ads alone, I'm like, man, you know, if I wasn't actually concerned about the gospel, that would be an excellent business strategy, making$30,000,$40,000 a month to scare people with God in the Bible. But friend, that's why calm voices, which sometimes I'm not calm, I uh I'm passionate because this stuff makes me upset at times. But but calm voices often struggle getting traction online while sensational voices explode in popularity because fear spreads fast. But truth does not always move fast. And unfortunately, some Christians have unknowingly become addicted to the adrenaline of catastrophe. Every week there has to be another secret, another hidden agenda, another apocalyptic prediction. And eventually people lose their ability to simply live faithfully. They stop enjoying life, they stop resting, they don't know how to be present, they stop building healthy families, they stop serving the people around them because psychologically they're trapped in permanent emergency mode. They're stuck in fight or flight. And I really believe that one of the most prophetic things believers can recover in this generation is peace, real peace. Not denial, not escapism, not pretending that evil doesn't exist, but inner stability rooted in Christ. You know, one of the things that I find fascinating in the Gospels is how calm Jesus remained in chaotic situations. Storms didn't panic him, demons didn't panic him, political instability didn't panic him, death itself didn't panic him. He said, No man can take my life, I lay it down. How does that happen? Why? Because perfect union with the Father produces profound stability. My most peaceful, stable moments are the moments I'm most rooted in union with Christ. And I think that modern believers desperately need that kind of stability again, because many Christians today are internally governed by fear instead of communion with God. And friend, fear distorts everything. Fear makes people impulsive and reactionary and susceptible to manipulation. And that's true spiritually, politically, culturally, psychologically, which is why scripture repeatedly calls believers back into sobriety and discernment. Now, I realize what I'm about to say is going to challenge some people, and I think, but I've got to say it, I think one of the greatest dangers in modern Christianity is not merely deception, it's distraction. Because even if conversations about UFOs and and disclosure contain elements of truth, believers still have to ask, what is this doing to my soul? Friend, that's the deeper question. Is it making you more loving, more peaceful, more faithful, more present, more Christlike? Or is it making you anxious, suspicious, emotionally exhausted? Short with your family, mentally fragmented, brain fog, because not all knowledge produces life. The scripture says knowledge puffs up. Paul literally warns that knowledge can puff up while love builds up. And I think some people have filled their minds with endless information while neglecting the formation of their own hearts. Now, again, hear me, hear me tonight. I'm not mocking people asking questions. Questions are healthy. Wonder is healthy. Thinking deeply is healthy. But believers have to learn the difference between thoughtful discernment and fear-driven obsession. And honestly, I think many people watching tonight already know internally when curiosity has crossed over into obsession. Because when that happens, peace disappears, rest disappears, joy disappears. You being present, that disappears. And eventually a person becomes emotionally consumed by darkness. Now, let's talk for a few moments about powers and principalities. I think this is important. I know this is a little bit longer conversation than we normally have, but I think this is important. Okay, because this is often where conversations like this start moving. Some believers immediately interpret every unexplained phenomenon through a demonology grid. Okay. This is important. Everything becomes fallen angels, demons, Nephilim, or end times deception. Now, again, I believe scripture teaches the existence of spiritual realities. But we have to be careful not to become speculative beyond what scripture actually reveals. That's important, okay? Because historically, whenever Christians move beyond Christ-centered theology into excessive speculation, unhealthy movements emerge, fear-based movements, date-setting movements, conspiracy-driven movements, hyperfixation movements. And usually the fruit is not peace or maturity. Usually the fruit is anxiety, division, pride, confusion. Now, can spiritual deception exist? Absolutely. But here's something important. The New Testament consistence consistently places greater emphasis on becoming rooted in Christ than becoming experts in the darkness. That matters. Some believers know every conspiracy theory, but barely know the Sermon on the Mount. They know endless speculation, but struggle to love their neighbor. And friend, that imbalance reveals something deeply unhealthy spiritually. It's it's it's unhealthy spirituality because Christianity is not fundamentally about decoding darkness, it's about participating in the life of Christ. And I think some people, some believers need permission tonight to stop carrying fear they were never meant to carry. Friend, you don't have to monitor every theory online to remain faithful to Jesus. You do not have to live in perpetual suspicion to be spiritually discerning. And honestly, many people are simply exhausted. They're exhausted from years of trying to mentally survive nonstop fear culture. But Christ invites humanity into another way of living, a lighter yoke, a different rhythm, a deeper peace. And that peace becomes especially powerful in moments of cultural instability because calm people become anchors for others. Now, you know, as I was praying and thinking, and again, if you see me looking at the screen, I'm I'm looking at comments, I'm seeing what you're saying here. Um and so I can see, and and if you got questions, don't hesitate to put those in the in the comments, okay? Um but as I was thinking about tonight's conversation, I really felt strongly that that one of the deepest issues underneath all of this is trust. Humanity is experiencing a massive trust crisis right now. I said this earlier, I'll say it again. People aren't, they don't trust governments, media, institutions, corporations, religious systems, and honestly, sometimes for very understandable reasons. We've watched corruption be exposed, manipulation exposed, hypocrisy, hidden agendas exposed. And so when trust erodes, fear rushes in to fill the vacuum. And that's exactly what we're watching happening right now in our culture. And because people no longer trust institutions, they begin searching everywhere for hidden explanations behind reality. Now, again, I understand why this happens. Human beings instinctively know the world is deeper than surface appearances. But here's the danger: when people lose trust externally without becoming internally anchored in Christ, they often drift into paranoia instead of wisdom. And friend, paranoia is not discernment. I don't know how many times I've said that tonight, but I'm gonna keep saying it. So paranoia is not discernment, suspicion is not wisdom, emotional panic is not prophecy, and fear is not spiritual maturity. Now, I know some people think might hear this and think, so Mark, you're just saying believers should just blindly trust authority. No, that's not what I'm saying. Discernment matters. Scripture itself warns repeatedly about deception, manipulation, falsehood, spiritual confusion. But the biblical answer to obsession or deception is not obsessive fear. The answer is becoming deeply rooted in the truth of Christ and transformed into the likeness of Christ because that's the answer. And the more secure a person becomes in Christ, the less emotionally manipulable they become. And I've seen that in my own life. Did you hear what I said? Back in the day, I was connected to ministries and ran in circles where we were constantly talking about decoding this and deciphering this and following this mystery and figuring this out and end times and demons. And it's been 11 years since I left that world, and it's been 11 years since I've had an anxiety or panic attack. See, because fear loses its power when you disconnect from that. Panic loses its power, hysteria loses its power when you disconnect from that. And honestly, I think this is one reason the world feels so psychologically unstable right now. It's the American pulpit's fault. People are consuming massive amounts of information without possessing inner grounding. And when I'm saying that, I'm not using a new age term. I'm using a term to say we need to be grounded deeply rooted. Ephesians 3, in the love of God. And information, guys, without ground being grounded in that truth, becomes overwhelming. That's why some people today are mentally exhausted even though they are more informed than ever. They know everything happening globally, but have lost connection with peace internally. Now, let me connect this back to the video we watched earlier and the UFO conversation again. One thing that I find interesting is how emotionally charged this topic becomes almost immediately. It goes viral. Why? Because conversations about extraterrestrial intelligence challenge humanity's sense of certainty and control. And human beings deeply crave control. We want reality to fit neatly inside of our frameworks. But scripture repeatedly confronts humanity with mystery beyond our comprehension. Think about Ezekiel's vision. Think about the book of Revelation. Think about angelic encounters throughout the scripture. The Bible contains imagery and encounters that are far stranger than any modern Christian comfortably acknowledges. Why? Because reality is bigger than materialism. And again, that does not automatically validate every UFO theory online, but it does mean that Christians should stop pretending the biblical worldview was merely rationalistic and mechanical. It's not. It wasn't. The biblical worldview is drenched in transcendence. Now, here's something important that I want to say tonight, okay? The existence of mystery does not threaten Christ. Friend, that's huge. Because some believers react to unexplained phenomena as though Christianity itself is fragile. Did you not hear these men talking? They just think that believers are so fragile. But friend, if it was historic, historical biblical Christianity, there's nothing fragile about it. The gospel has survived empires, revolutions, scientific discoveries, wars, persecutions, every cultural shift imaginable. And honestly, the reason Christianity survives is because its foundation is not dependent on humanity understanding everything. It's about Christ. It's rooted, grounded. The foundation is Christ Himself. And I think many believers need to rediscover confidence in the sufficiency of Christ. Not confidence in possessing all the answers, confidence in Christ. Now, let's talk about, I know I'm giving you a lot, but let's talk about fear for a few moments because I believe fear is one of the primary psychological battles of this generation. Fear, again, narrows perception. When people become afraid, they lose clarity. They become reactionary, they become vulnerable to manipulation. Okay. So this is why fear is such a powerful force culturally. Fear keeps people emotionally activated. And friend, if you're watching television, if you're watching Fox News, CNN, if you're watching media systems all the time, both secular and religious, they often monetize fear because fear drives engagement. Outrage spreads quickly, panic spreads quickly, speculation spreads quickly. Friend, that's why we're building a media company. That's why I'm starting to go live more. And that's why I'm asking for partners because we need more voices, more people speaking into this cultural chaos of this hour. But friend, wisdom moves slower. And because wisdom moves slower, many people never slow down enough to actually become wise. Instead, they become emotionally addicted to intensity. Now, I want to say something that may challenge some people tonight, as if I haven't said some things that's challenged you already. Not every spiritual feeling is Holy Spirit. Sometimes people interpret anxiety as discernment. Friend, some believers have lived in chronic nerve, in a chronic nervous system activation for so long that they confuse emotional intensity with spiritual awareness. But the Holy Spirit produces clarity, sobriety, wisdom, peace, not constant psychological chaos. Now, does that mean that believers will never feel burdened or concerned about cultural issues? Of course not. But there's a difference between discernment and panic. See, Jesus could confront darkness without becoming internally ruled by fear. That's maturity. And I think one of the things that believers need to recover right now is emotional sobriety, especially online. My God, man, watching people on social media is stressful because social media constantly rewards overreaction. And one thing I've noticed is that many believers have unintentionally built entire spiritual lives around reacting instead of abiding, always reacting, always alarmed, always emotionally hijacked by the next headline, but very little, very little deep communion with Christ. And listen carefully. People who live without inner peace eventually become vulnerable to every cultural storm. That's why rootedness in Christ matters. Now, let's go deeper into this idea of visible and invisible realities because I think this is one of the strongest biblical foundations for this conversation. And again, I'm probably gonna have to chop some of this up and put it in multiple videos because I know this is really long, but I think it's gonna be helpful. Paul says in Colossians that all things were created visible and invisible. And that phrase alone completely dismantles modern reductionist materialism. Okay. Scripture never taught reality was limited to what humans can physically measure. Okay. In fact, Christianity has always affirmed that existence contains dimensions that humanity can't fully perceive. And honestly, quantum physics itself has begun humbling modern materialism. The deeper science goes, the stranger reality appears. Now, again, I'm not saying quantum physics proves Christianity. I think it does. I think it can. Uh, so I'm not saying it's the only thing that proves Christianity. I'm just saying that modern humanity is rediscovering what ancient biblical thought already assumed. Reality is more mysterious than human beings imagined. But again, and this is critical, mystery should should literally lead believers into worship, not panic. And that's a key. That's a key there. So let me address another issue that I think is very important. Some believers become fascinated with secret knowledge. Guys, I've been around this for years because hidden knowledge creates a feeling of superiority. And guys, this has happened all throughout history. This is not the first generation this has happened. People love feeling awakened, enlightened, ahead of everybody else. But Christianity fundamentally dismantles spiritual elitism. Okay. The kingdom is not built on possessing hidden elite information. The kingdom is built on humility, love, surrender, transformation. And honestly, some conspiracy culture mirrors ancient Gnosticism more than biblical Christianity. Now, if you're unfamiliar with Gnosticism, this was an ancient movement obsessed with secret hidden knowledge, supposedly available only to enlightened people. Or let me let me use some Christian ease here. Uh this this is our modern Gnosticism, that we get secret knowledge supposedly because we're anointed or enlightened people. And I definitely believe in the anointing 100%, but I'm making a comparison here. And and I believe one of the dangers of modern conspiracy obsession is that people begin grounding their identity and being, we're the ones who know the secret stuff. But see, friend, Christianity grounds identity in Christ, not in intellectual superiority. And I think this is deeply important because many people are emotionally drowned in endless speculation while neglecting actual spiritual formation. They know every theory, but have little peace, little joy, little love, little rest. And the irony is Jesus never called humanity into obsessive speculation. He called humanity into discipleship, into becoming people transformed by love. And honestly, I think some believers are so consumed with studying darkness that they've forgotten how to enjoy beauty. They've forgotten how to enjoy life. They've forgotten how to rest, how to be present with family, how to walk in peace. Everything becomes ominous, everything becomes threatening, everything becomes another sign of impending catastrophe. Friend, that's not the abundant life that Jesus described. And I really believe tonight some people need permission to come out of survival mode spiritually because many believers have lived in a low-grade state of fear for years and years and years. And guess what? Fear slowly erodes the soul and has an impact on your physical body. Now, let me be clear here. We have real problems in the world, real corruption, real deception, real darkness. But there is also real beauty. There's real goodness, there's real hope, there's real grace, there's real redemption. And Christians above all people should be able, should be capable of seeing both clearly. I'm not, this is not a call to be naive, and it's also not a call to be cynical. It's a call to be wise. That's the word, wise. Wisdom. And wisdom remains calm in chaos. Wisdom is not easily manipulated, it's not emotionally reckless. Wisdom does not panic every time the internet erupts. Wisdom stays rooted, and that rootedness becomes a witness to the world. Now, again, let's take a break. Um, if this is blessing you, some of some of you need peace. Some of you need peace. And so I want to tell you, guys, if you're interested, I wrote a book uh years ago called The Shepherd's Tent, and it's my story about how to embrace resting God amid a chaotic world. Okay. Um, if you haven't got a copy of this, you can get it on Amazon. But I also wrote a little seven-day devotional series that if you'll comment the word shepherd, I'll send you that seven-part devotional series. It'll send you a message in your DMs. All you have to do is give us your email and we'll start sending those out to you. But if you're looking to learn how to rest in amid the chaos of this world, all you have to do is comment the word shepherd and we'll get that book to you. All right, let's jump back into this. We're almost done. We're almost done. Okay. I want to just take a few more moments and talk about the difference between discernment and fear because I honestly believe many believers were never taught the difference. And when people cannot distinguish between discernment and fear, they become vulnerable to emotional and spiritual confusion. See, discernment is rooted in wisdom. Fear is rooted in insecurity. Now, discernment can look directly at darkness without being consumed by it. Fear, however, looks into the darkness and becomes obsessed with it. See, discernment remains calm while fear spirals deeper into the darkness. Discernment produces clarity, but fear, it produces emotional chaos. And you'll know the difference. And one of the things that I've noticed over the years is that many Christians unknowingly live under constant anxiety while calling it being spiritually aware. But listen, friend, fruit reveals the root. And if someone is perpetually fearful, perpetually outraged and suspicious and panicked, friend, that is not spiritual maturity. Because the Holy Spirit does not produce psychological slavery. Now, does that mean mature believers never confront difficult realities? Of course not. Jesus confronted darkness directly. The apostles confronted darkness directly. But notice something important. They were not emotionally ruled by. And that's the difference. And honestly, I think many modern believers are exhausted because they've consumed years of fear-based teaching without enough Christ-centered formation. Everything became the next sign, the next collapse, the next deception, the next hidden agenda. And eventually people stopped living fruitful lives altogether because they become trapped in anticipation of catastrophe. Now, let me say something. And I think, again, I think this is extremely important. The church was never meant to be psychologically fragile. Guys, the early church lived under Roman oppression. During that time, political instability, economic uncertainty, persecution, violence, martyrdom. Yet the New Testament still repeatedly speaks about peace and joy and hope and confidence and boldness and rest. How? Because their stability was rooted in Christ, not circumstances. And I think one of the reasons modern believers become so emotionally shaken by cultural uncertainty is because many have unconsciously rooted their security and inside of external stability rather than in communion with Christ. So when headlines become chaotic, their inner world collapses too. But Jesus described another kind of life, a life built on the rock. A life not destroyed by storms. And listen carefully, storms still come. The difference was the foundation. Friend, that's powerful. Okay. Now, I want to talk specifically about why UFO conversations often trigger existential fear in people. Okay. At the deepest psychological level, these conversations confront humanity with the possibility that reality is larger than we previously imagined. And for many people, that feels destabilizing. But honestly, Christianity should already prepare believers for a reality larger than materialism. The Bible already presents heavenly realms, spiritual beings, cosmic, uh cosmic beings, angelic encounters, visions, mysteries. And again, the biblical worldview is not reductionistic. Okay? It's not reductionistic. Now, does that mean that every UFO claim is true? No. Does it mean every unexplained phenomenon is spiritual? No. But it does mean Christians should stop reacting as though mystery itself threatens the gospel. Because it doesn't. In fact, one of the things that fascinates me about modern Western culture is that secularism tried to eliminate transcendence for generations. And now culture is desperately trying to rediscover it. That's what's happening. That's why this thing's going viral. Because human beings cannot survive on materialism alone. We were made for wonder. We were made for communion with something greater than ourselves. And when that longing is disconnected from Christ, people start searching other places. And that's why modern cultures become increasingly obsessed with mysticism and manifestation and occult spirituality because people are hungry. And I honestly think one of the tragedies of modern conspiracy culture is that many people searching for transcendence end up consumed by fear instead of transformed by love. Because fear masquerades as awakening. People think I'm finally seeing reality clearly. But many times they're simply just becoming emotionally overwhelmed. Now, again, I think this is deeply important. The goal of the Christian life is not merely correct information, it's Christ-likeness. That's the goal. And one of the ways that you can evaluate whether certain content is spiritually healthy for you is simple. And I want and I want you to take a moment, think about this, because you need to be careful who you're listening to. I want you to ask yourself the next time that you're watching something, is this helping me become more like Jesus? Is it making me more peaceful? Is it making me more loving? Is it making me more joyful? Is it making me more patient, more grounded, more present with my loved ones? Or is it making me more anxious, reactionary, fearful, suspicious? Is it making you emotionally exhausted? Friend, that matters. Why? Because not all information is spiritually beneficial. Some content slowly poisons your imagination. And I think we need to have the courage to say that honestly. Now, again, I'm not advocating ignorance, I'm not uh, but but I am advocating wisdom. Wise people can acknowledge uncertainty without becoming consumed by it. Wise people can ask questions without spiraling emotionally, wise people can discern without living in perpetual suspicion. And honestly, I think many believers need to rediscover the simplicity of abiding in Christ. Because the modern information age constantly pressures people into fragmentation. Your attention is constantly under attack. And wherever attention goes, formation follows. And that's important for you to understand. If your attention constantly lives in fear, your inner life will eventually become fearful. If your imagination constantly lives in the darkness, darkness begins shaping your emotional world. That's why the scripture repeatedly calls believers to fix their minds on things that are true, things that are noble, things that are pure, things that are lovely, things that are excellent. Not because evil doesn't exist, but because whatever you behold constantly shapes you. Now, I want to pivot for a second and talk about the powers and principalities because this language is very misunderstood. Paul, the Apostle Paul, absolutely believed spiritual realities existed. But notice, Paul never presents believers as helpless victims trapped in terror because of cosmic darkness. Instead, Paul consistently emphasizes the victory of Christ. And I think that's critical for you and I to acknowledge here. And again, I appreciate you guys being here and listening to this because I know I'm going into a lot of things. You know, modern fear-based Christianity often unintentionally magnifies darkness more than Christ. But the New Testament magnifies Christ always. The resurrection is not merely a comforting religious symbol, it is the announcement that death itself has been defeated. Think about that. Humanity's greatest fear has already been conquered in Christ. So why would believers spend their lives enslaved to fear over every mysterious possibility? Now, I know somebody watching tonight may say, but shouldn't we be watchful? Absolutely. Jesus repeatedly taught vigilance and discernment, but vigilance is not hysteria. Watchfulness is not panic. In fact, biblically speaking, true watchfulness actually requires sobriety and clarity, not emotional chaos. And honestly, I think many believers today are so overstimulated that they struggle to hear God clearly at all. Their nervous systems are overloaded, their minds are racing constantly, their emotions are fragmented, and one of the most radical acts of spiritual resistance in this age may simply be learning how to become still again. Still enough to hear God, still enough to love people well, still enough to be present with your family, still enough to enjoy your actual life. Guys, some people are so consumed with trying to understand the future that they no longer inhabit the present. And the present moment is where communion with God actually happens. Guys, I think some Christians secretly believe fear keeps them spiritually safe. Like if they stay anxious enough, alert enough, suspicious enough, they can somehow avoid deception entirely. Friend, when when people are trained to find counterfeit money, they don't study the counterfeit to find the counterfeit. They keep their focus so on the original that because they so know the original, they can spot a phony anytime. Guys, that's how it should be for us. We should be so focused on Christ that if anything pops up, we automatically know the counterfeit. Maybe the fear that these podcasters and pastors and preachers have is because they know they've not kept their people's focus on Christ. And because they know they've not kept these people's focus on Christ, now they're really subjected to counterfeits and then ultimately in bondage to fear. And fear itself disorts perception, it distorts it every time. Fear clouds judgment, it weakens discernment, it amplifies confusion. But perfect love casts out fear. Not because reality lacks danger, but because union with God creates this inner peace and inner security stronger than external uncertainty. And honestly, again, I've said this a lot tonight. I think many believers need healing from years of fear-centered religion. Guys, Jesus said this. He said, I want to remind you, my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Now, that does not mean passive living, it means union-based living, life anchored in communion with God rather than constant panic about the future. And I really believe tonight the Holy Spirit wants to free some people from obsessive fear cycles because some believers have not felt genuine peace in years. I believe you're watching this right now, and the Holy Spirit has pinpointed your heart. Your mind never stops racing. You're always scanning for danger, always expecting collapse, always anticipating catastrophe. Friend, that's not freedom. And Christ came to bring freedom. Oh guys, I'm gonna say this again. Even if humanity eventually discovers realities beyond current scientific understanding, Christians should remain the most grounded people on earth. Why? Because our confidence was never rooted in human mastery over the cosmos. Our confidence is rooted in Christ. That's the anchor. And I honestly think moments like this reveal whether believers truly believe Christ is Lord over all, literally, Lord over all of creation, or it reveals that they believe He only reigns over the parts of humanity that we completely understand or that we understand comfortably. But scripture says all things were created through him and for him, visible and invisible. Nothing exists outside of his authority, nothing. And that should create profound peace. Isn't that good? I hope you're getting something out of this tonight because I really do believe, man, that the Lord is really highlighting some things for us and exposing the fear culture um that exists in the world. And and I'm not even halfway through this conversation, so we're gonna do a part two, okay, and um, and get deeper into this because there's a lot more that I could say about this. But um man, I hope that tonight I've said some things because I feel like we're in a real moment right now where the Lord really um has pinpointed the hearts of people that are going through that. You literally have found yourself overwhelmed, you don't have peace, you're constantly thinking about everything that's going on in the world, and and and you just you just don't have peace at all. And you've become a victim of entertainment, Bible prophecy, fear-mongering, doomsday um theology. And it's it's ruining your world. And so tonight I want to pray for you, and I want to just ask the Lord to reveal himself to you and to help erase your mind of anything that doesn't belong in there, and that he'll give you grace to think on beautiful things, because that's what roots us again in peace and um and then allows us to have actual discernment, um, which is super helpful in the world today. So, Father, I just want to thank you for everybody that joined me on this live stream tonight. Lord, I want to thank you for your words tonight, the scripture, the understanding that you are giving us, the gospel that you're restoring to us. And Father, there are people watching this tonight that they've grown up in this all their life and what they thought was awakening and enlightenment. It is now tonight, they've seen that it's fear and it's ruined their life. And they see where it's cost them being present with their family. They see where it's cost them their nervous system. And Lord, I'm asking for you to go into their world right now. Father, I'm asking for you to enter into their mind, enter into their very most innermost being. And would you fill them with your presence, your peace, and your love until all anxiety leaves, until all panic leaves. And God, I'm praying tonight, deliver people from anxiety and panic attacks right now. In the mighty name of Jesus, I release the authority of Christ to break the chains of anxiety and panic off of your life. And I ask for the Lord Jesus Christ to come and settle his peace inside of you. He said, He said, I give you peace, not as the world gives, but my peace. May the peace of Christ come in you now. May you sleep better tonight than you've ever done in the history of your life. May you come into a rest and a peace and your nervous system regulate and your body take a deep breath again. Father, I pray for the greatest revelation of the gospel these people have ever experienced. And we thank you for it. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Whew, we got a lot more to cover. We'll do it in another live stream. But guys, I just want to thank you for joining me over an hour and 40 minutes of us being together. And if you stuck around this long, you are a real one. So, again, if you've got questions, put them in the comments. If you want that seven-day devotional that's connected to my book, The Shepherd's Tent, comment the word shepherd and we'll send that to you as well. Also, guys, if you want to support the podcast, we've got a brand new t-shirt. Jesus is king, not left, not right, kingdom forever, because his kingdom is not of this world. Friend, if you want to make a bold statement of Christ in this politically divided culture, this is a shirt and everything that we get as the proceeds of this shirt goes to help this podcast. Also, one last time, I want to invite you to become a partner. Guys, it's going to take money to do all that's in our heart, guys. I've got big vision for this media company. I've got big vision to author books. But if we don't have the income, then I don't have the time to sit, write, do these live streams, create the media. Guys, we're already kind of limited right now. We've got to get our resources built back up so I can hire video editors. Um, we're doing the bare minimum right now because we just don't have the resources yet. But I'm believing Holy Spirit's going to speak to partners and people to support this ministry. And when you do, we're going to give you access to our partner community. You'll be able to hear our sermons there. You'll be able to join special online events, join our monthly vision and QA call, connect with other believers. It's going to be an amazing place, an amazing community that we're building there. So, guys, God bless you. Thank you for being here tonight. And um, just want to thank you for all that you uh are doing uh as far as prayer and financial support for our ministry. It means the world to us, guys. So God bless you. I hope you have a great night, and we'll talk with you soon.
