Welcome to the debut of Depth Chart Deep Dive on the Take The Throne Fantasy Football Show.
In this new series, we go team by team and break down the fantasy football value hiding across every depth chart. We’re talking quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, position battles, players to target, players to avoid, and the names you need to keep on your radar before your league mates catch up.
First up: the Tennessee Titans.
This Titans offense might not be the first team fantasy managers are rushing to draft from, but there could be serious sleeper value here. We break down why Cam Ward has QB2 upside, how Brian Daboll could help unlock this offense, and why the Titans may have more fantasy-relevant weapons than people realize.
We also dive into the running back room with Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears, and rookie Nick Singleton, then move into the wide receivers where Carnell Tate may already be the name to know. Plus, we discuss the PPR appeal of Wan’Dale Robinson, the concerns around Calvin Ridley, and why Gunnar Helm is a tight end worth monitoring on the waiver wire.
If you’re looking for late-round fantasy football sleepers, dynasty stashes, and draft-day values, this Titans deep dive is a great place to start.
In this episode:
- Why Cam Ward could rise in fantasy rankings
- Tony Pollard’s value as an RB3/Flex option
- T.J. Spears as a handcuff and deep sleeper
- Nick Singleton as a dynasty stash
- Carnell Tate’s breakout upside
- Wan’Dale Robinson’s PPR appeal
- Calvin Ridley’s uncertain role
- Gunnar Helm as a waiver-wire tight end to watch
Because in fantasy football, you don’t watch the throne. You take it.

SPEAKER_00What's up, guys? Gabe Hernandez here with Take the Throne Fantasy Football Podcast, and we're gonna start a series here. DC D D Depth Chart Deep Dive. We're gonna look at team by team in divisions, go through everyone the quarterback, running back, wide receivers, tight ends, any position battles going forward, who to avoid, who to target. Let's have some fun with it. Let's go on today's DC D D depth chart deep dive. We're looking at the Titans now. And I'm gonna be honest, guys. I've been looking at this team here. This is probably one of my sleeper fantasy teams to kind of go get some guys and possibly see what they do that could be stars. And I'm gonna explain why here in a minute. Cam Ward, number one pick. I have him as my QB21. I think I'm gonna try to find a way to move him up in my rankings though, and closer to possibly being drafted as a backup. I I really like his potential. I think he's a good quarterback. Last year was a mess in Tennessee. You know, I I heard some scrutiny and talking, even people talking about they should redraft a quarterback this year or even next year. Give Cam Ward a chance. This guy is a winner, he's a baller, he can provide a good leadership for this team and take this team possibly to the promised land. Not this year, I'm not saying this year, but in the future, I like Cam Ward as a possible franchise quarterback. Just he needs the weapons, and I think he does have a couple weapons now, and we'll get into that here in a minute. Cam Ward is someone though, I'm looking forward to. But the biggest benefactor to Cam Ward's success this year is gonna be Brian Dayball. Robert Salah is now the head coach. They bring in Brian Dayball to call the plays. And while Dayball wasn't the greatest coach in New York, he's a good offensive coordinator. Look at the development he's had with quarterbacks over the years. Josh Allen, Daniel Jones, Jackson Dart. I I would argue that Cam Ward is probably more talented than all three. Maybe not Josh Allen. Let's not get maybe not Josh Allen. That's probably going a little too far. But over Jackson Dart and Daniel Jones, I think we could argue that Cam Ward's more talented than those two. So I'm excited what he's gonna do with Cam Ward, and that's one of the biggest reasons why I'm have Cam Ward as a deep sleeper as my quarterback going forward. I'm gonna move in now to the running backs. Tony Pollard is still the running back there. I have him as running back 26, and so he's a solid running back. Like I he's not someone that again, I'm not gonna target necessarily. If he falls to me in the right round, I'll take him happily. I think he could be a solid RB3 on your team. RB4 would be perfect if he's that low. Uh 29 years old, he's going into a seventh year. He's had four straight thousand-yard seasons, though. And when you think of Tony Pollard, you think fast and uh versatile, you know, pass catcher, he's actually been more physical in the run game, and his cat his receptions have gone down each year. He's become more of a running back. That's why I don't love him necessarily because the pass catching has kind of gone away from him as he gotten older in age. But again, Brian Dayball offense, I think this offense is gonna be more productive, gonna put up more points and score a little more. I like Tony Pollard as a RB3. RB4 would be a great spot for him on your team. But uh look for Tony Pollard. Tajay Spears, I have his RB52, they do utilize him, and I can see him moving up a little bit. Uh, but I I'm something you know, I I prefer got the workhorse, and I don't know if they're gonna be a 50-50 committee, but I do see like a 75-25, and that's probably why I have Tajay Spears a little lower than he sh than most people do. Uh, but he is a talented running back, so I would definitely use him as a handcuff, even possible sleeper. You know, if you're looking in the 14th round and you need a running back, Tajay Spears sitting there, I would not be mad if you took him. And then they also did draft Nicholas Singleton out of Penn State this year, fifth round. Could he make his way into the rotation? Possibly, because when you look at new coaches, Tony Pollard is not a Robert Salah guy, neither is Tajay Spears, maybe not even Brian Dayball guy. So could they work in Nicholas Singleton over time? Absolutely. I think Nicholas Singleton is a deep, deep sleeper for running back. Dynasty, I think he's a great pick. He's someone to keep an eye on. He's I don't think you're gonna draft him, but keep an eye on him on the waiver wire. If you start seeing him, you know, slowly but surely get a little more touches and a little more carries in the midseason, I can see you picking him up and maybe he takes over in the end. So keep an eye on him. That's someone that I would I would not mind stashing uh on your bench all year. Going to receivers now, Carnell Tate is my wide receiver 34 on this team. I'm a Carnell Tate fan. He was to me my number one fantasy wide receiver this year. Just gonna instantly be the number one right receiver in my eyes for the Tennessee Titans. I know they still have Calvin Calvin Ridley, but Carnell Tate is someone that I love. I think he's gonna be a good deep threat, and they can build a rapport with Cam Ward, and I think he's gonna be really involved in this offense. I can see him going for 70 catches, 1100 yards, and seven touchdowns. That's a pretty good rookie year. Uh Wandale Robinson, I have as my wide receiver 50. So this is someone also who I kind of like as a deep sleeper. He came over, he actually his whole career he's played with Brian Dayball. Brian Dayball drafted him his rookie year in New York. He played with him there three years. He's now coming over to Tennessee from New York. He has gotten better again every single year. And he is just someone that is utilizing the slot, a great PPR guy. He's not gonna get many touchdowns for you, but he's a guy that can put up points for you. Why if you just put him on your bench, look for him in like the 12th or 13th round? I would love Wandell Robinson on my team this year. And then Calvin Ridley's still there. I have him as wide receiver 59. I just don't know, I can't put up my finger on it. They bring they draft Carnell Tate, they bring over Wandell Robinson. Again, I mentioned like with the running backs, though Calvin Ridley is not a Robert Sala guy, not a Brian Dayball guy. Does he kind of phase out of this offense? We'll see and we'll find out. So I don't love him this year. I know he is talented, but I I think we're kind of seeing the the days of Calvin Ridley gone, unfortunately. And then just an honorable mention, Gunner Helm. Uh I don't have him ranked as my tight ends, but he is the starting tight end. Keep an eye on him. He's someone to keep on the waiver wire. And if he starts going off, pick him up. Tight ends are hard to find. There's not a lot of good ones. He does have potential. He did have a couple decent games last year, so keep an eye on Gunnarhelm going forward. And that was the Tennessee Titans DC D D.
